Klopp has said Gerrard is welcome to train in the off season but nothing else. So no coaching or involvement in club matters.

cmac

1.) 04 Nov 2015 19:34:29
Hope so
Need to push forward, not dwell in the past. Stevie was a great servant but his time has passed.

2.) 05 Nov 2015 00:22:39
He actually said that a playing role wasnt mentioned bu stevie in the article i read. So therefore Klopp said they didn't speak about it. don't think he will be bk in a LFC shirt playing again. wouldn't mind though.

3.) 05 Nov 2015 04:26:47
I would. He's part of our past and should stay there.

4.) 05 Nov 2015 05:46:35
I'm glad many fans recognizes that Gerrard's time as a player for Liverpool is over and rightly so. As much as he's a legend, it is time for others to step up and bring the club forward the way Gerrard did in his prime. Klopp should not be pressured to bring back ex-stars but rather bring in whoever he feels is right for his style and vision. That would include future signings or no signings at all if he can somehow utilize and improve our current crop of players. I would be more than happy to see our current squad perform well than keep buying and buying without producing the goods eventually. But I have no doubt that Klopp will surely get some players in or out. but not like 6 or 7 players like Rodgers did.

5.) 05 Nov 2015 10:15:04
Personally I would be happy with Gerrard training with the club then maybe playing in a couple of cup or Europa league games if needs be, especially if Allen ends up leaving as I didn't think we looked great against Sion (I think) where chiravella and rossiter were the midfield pair. One of them with Gerrard to help him out experience wise would be handy. Judging from how Klopp is taking the majority of the squad to these Thursday night games I think he intends on taking it seriously so an extra midfield body for any games he'd he available for wouldn't be the end of the world.

{Ed002's Note - If registered as a player I would think the FA would have no option but to charge him with at least one count. If he trains with the first team he will be an unnecessary distraction.}

6.) 05 Nov 2015 12:49:15
Everyone complained hoe Rodgers didn't use the youth and now half the fans want a club legend who's struggling to keep up to speed in MLS to come back and block more paths to the first team! Move on people and look to the future.

7.) 05 Nov 2015 15:37:28
Didi speak sense: “We all know what Steven Gerrard did for the club, but even if he does just train, if a central midfielder gets injured, the first question at the press conference will be, ‘Are you going to give him a contract? ’"

“And that’s the last thing Klopp needs — constant speculation about Steven Gerrard. I’m not sure even training with them is a good idea. ”.

8.) 06 Nov 2015 07:52:25
swish - Sorry but reading the posts I don't see where you get "half the fans" want Stevie back as a player. From what I read we on this and other posts is that we are all happy to see the youth players get a chance and Stevie train with the club at the very most!

Wheres all the cryers from last week. has Klopp turned you from a doubter to a believer yet. Amazing performance. Emre Can must have been healed by jesus to not only recover in such a short time but then first game back plays on god mode.

cmac

1.) 05 May 2016 22:06:26
I criticised Klopp but it'd be daft to call me a doubter. I fully believed he could get us a win tonight.

2.) 05 May 2016 22:24:37
There were a lot of doubters last week criticising the non-selection of Sturridge and blaming Klopp for ending our season.

Well, it's time to give him some credit. He does know what he's doing. 😎.

3.) 05 May 2016 22:31:44
Can can be better than Ballack imo. And Ballack was a hell of a player.

4.) 05 May 2016 22:36:25
Hah "plays on god mode". Never has a performance been so rightly described.

5.) 05 May 2016 22:23:43
I also criticised him last week and I think he criticised himself after the last game. We saw today how important Sturridge is for us. I wonder what all those who complained here about a lack of fan love to Sturridge think now.

No one here or anywhere argued that we don't have a chance, though. It is great to see that again and again we go out of holes we dig for ourselves in a very impressive fashion. We all knew Klopp could do magic and he did it tonight. Credit to him as well today for playing Can 90 minutes. So far this season he usually didn't play players straight from injury. Its great that he took the risk. let's hope for one more of those in the final. Winning it will be so so sweet.

6.) 05 May 2016 22:25:02
Well done Redmen. A truly professional performance all round. The whole team were immense tonight. but a special mention fior Emre Can. To come back from injury and put in a performance like that was unbelievable.
All credit to our fantastic manager Jurgen Klopp and his assistants.
We Believe!
YNWA.

7.) 05 May 2016 22:50:23
They will resurface full force if we lose the final.

8.) 05 May 2016 22:57:02
Anyone that doubted klopp last week I hope you realise he knows more than us. The game was always going to be won or lost tonight. Minding Sturridge worked to perfection and it showed tonight. Danny is world class and only second to Sergio Augero in the PL and Liverpool need to do everything in their power to hold onto him.
YNWA.

9.) 05 May 2016 22:58:53
Can was fantastic tonight. I criticised his form before he got injured. Tonight he was like a player re-born. Great performance for me, probably MoM.

10.) 05 May 2016 22:47:41
Ballack can only head the ball.

11.) 06 May 2016 00:12:42
Klopp got it spot on tonight, we were fantastic, but that doesn't change the fact he ballsed up last week. Best thing though is that he fixed it. Brilliant performance.

12.) 05 May 2016 22:13:41
You still don't understand do yo? Klopp got it wrong last week. Poor tactics, team selection and subs.

He's lucky we had the home game as the second leg and that he got a second chance. He won't now in the final. One shot.

Great coach. Revelation for Liverpool but is human and can still make errors!

If we can't critise then we can't praise

Don't come here making yourself feel better by trying to rub the victory in our faces. Most of us new and said we would do it tonight but still doesn't excuse last week and also we gambles that we did it tonight.

What if they had just played 1.10.0.0 and we didn't score. We should if won the first leg and not had to do another turnaround at anfield. We win 1-0 and they can't defend. Fair does they didn't and we won but don't act as though we were wrong for being annoyed at last week's game

Rent over. Well done lads, klopp you are on your way to cementing yourself in your your history. You could leave now and still be remembered as a legend just for this season. Love ya lad.

13.) 06 May 2016 07:19:59
No-one said you were wrong to be annoyed with a defeat but a number of people were overly critical of Klopp last week as it was only half time.
Klopp didn't get it wrong last week, the critics did.

Hey ed001 if youve got time, what's happening with the podcasts?

cmac

{Ed001's Note - Benny has been in hospital, a hand injury of some kind, probably masturbation related....}

1.) 07 Mar 2016 15:26:17
the injury must have happened while he was talking to you.

{Ed001's Note - I do have that effect....}

2.) 07 Mar 2016 15:55:02
He or his other half should no 99 change hands 😛.

{Ed001's Note - his other half? You mean rightie or leftie?}

3.) 07 Mar 2016 16:02:33
This is brilliant hahahaha 😂😂.

4.) 07 Mar 2016 18:07:29
Omg you have me laughing out load on the bus like a mad man. Benny does come across as a ****er tbf. 😉 only joking benny you know i luv ya.

{Ed002's Note - Soon you will figure out why Gerrard had all of those stretching injuries to the groin.}

5.) 07 Mar 2016 20:59:46
Hahaha. Just to clarify, i drilled a hole in my hand, turned septic and was originally thought to have infected and drilled the tendon. i'm right handed, luckily.
I would like some suggestions from posters on things to discuss during a podcast though, as when we do them on games, it seems to turn into slagging off mignolet 9 times out of 10 lol.
So yeah, any suggestions please post!

6.) 07 Mar 2016 23:26:18
A europa league podcast on Liverpool's chances v man u and going on in the tournament and also Tottenham v Dortmund would be great in my opinion anyway.

17 Jan 2016 23:02:31
I'm very happy and I'd like to tell you why. One of the LFC stewards (at the front of block 202, Kop) had a heart attack during the first half and thanks to the St Johns Ambulance staff performing tireless CPR for 8-10 minutes and the LFC club doctor providing help and advise. They managed to resuscitate him, hook him up to oxygen and saved his life. 1-0? Who's arsed really.? Context.

cmac

1.) 17 Jan 2016 23:56:13
Saw that and wondered what was happening. They got a good hand too from the Kop.
Hope the steward is OK
YNWA.

2.) 18 Jan 2016 00:35:13
Great news! there are more important things in the world than a football match.

3.) 18 Jan 2016 02:11:06
hope all is well for the man.

Alright eds. Havent been on for a while due to bad car accident and a near perpetual numbening of all effort due to pain killers. But just wanted to extend sincerest christmas wishes to you all and yours. Cheers for all your hardwork throughout the year. And to the fellow posters keep up the faith and a happy christmas. Ynwa.

cmac

{Ed001's Note - sorry to hear that, glad you are well though mate. I hope you get well soon and have a very merry Crimbo.}

1.) 23 Dec 2015 17:53:41
Hope you get well soon and merry Christmas.

2.) 23 Dec 2015 18:08:19
Get well soon dude. Enjoy the holiday period.

3.) 23 Dec 2015 18:49:07
My mam-in-law is I'll in hospital so I know what you mean. Get well soon and enjoy Christmas.

4.) 23 Dec 2015 23:38:33
Get well soon, cmac. I'm praying for you.

Good luck xx.

15 Oct 2015 14:35:05
Danny Ings out for the season with cruciate injury. Poor guy. Hope he recovers soon. Ynwa

cmac

{Ed002's Note - Yes, it is really tough for the boy.}

1.) 15 Oct 2015 14:41:38
what a blow for the poor lad i hope he fully recovers and gets back to the form he has been showing us, he his my player of the month

2.) 15 Oct 2015 14:48:13
So bad, got his chance and took it well, and now a massive set back. He's been great so far in my opinion and so underrated, his touch and movement is great. If he was called inginho everyone would be raving about him

3.) 15 Oct 2015 14:49:12
Seriously devastated at that news. Looked to be building a head of steam. Poor guy.

4.) 15 Oct 2015 14:52:42
What is going on with our team and long term injuries, it is as if we have a curse hanging above Enfield. Two cruciate injuries in three days. Unbeliveable.

5.) 15 Oct 2015 15:12:51
Very Sad for the two lads, I really thought both of them could have done very well under Klopp this season.

6.) 15 Oct 2015 16:44:57
Two of our brightest sparks in a bad few months. I believe that they are two honest and hard working players who seem proud to be in lfc shirt will come back stronger. One thing I believe is that klopp will make regular visits and keep their spirits and hopes up. Klopp reminds me if paisley Dalglish(1st time around) and shankley in which there will be an attachment to their players.

{Ed002's Note - It gets painful to read when you start posting things like this about the coach.}

7.) 15 Oct 2015 16:58:32
Indeed, this premature romanticism has got to stop.

{Ed002's Note - It is premature something else Davey once they have the rolled up photograph.}

8.) 15 Oct 2015 17:23:35
Fanobip, I wish the curse was hanging over Enfield, although my aunty lives there, so probably not ideal. Somewhere else in North London, certainly :)

Volland already transfered this summer so forget that one.
We're not gona sell mingolet and have manninger as no.2
Moreno isn't going anywhere. he's the only first team left back we have.
Ings isn't being sold either.
Nonsense post.

Jesus this is scraping the barrell looking for things to complain about. Anyone that had the balls to take a pen deserves respect. Those players put themselves forward and had all scored pens previously so i have no problem with the takers. Milner would have taken the fifth. To moan about klopp is ridiculous you can't make a player take a pen if he's not up for it. So your question about strikers and hendo should be a question of their guts and not to vilify the ones who stepped up for us.
