Hi ED002,

im just interested in your opinion on where we need players or what positions need to be up graded, i think we need a better keeper because mingolet does not seem to be progressing on his weak parts of his game, kickong being just one of them, i also think that skertal will go and maybe lucas, because i think Matip is a replacement for Toure,

whats for sure is that this summer its going to be a very important transfer window if the right players are brought in then i think we will have a great chance of getting in the top 4, i am not one of these fans who want a big name just for the sake of it, leicester have shown that a winning team does not need big name players but p;ayers that will fit into the system the manager wants to play in

one last thing klopp has bought 2 players in Matip and the midfielder and we have not payed over the odds for them which for me is a great sign of things to come, its about time we got a manager who knows how to work the transfer market.

mbrock99

{Ed002's Note - (a) The club is not and has not been looking for a replacement for Mignolet. This has been covered a lot already. (b) It would not be a surprise to see Skrtel leave - the club is overrun with centre backs. I don't know of any plan to sell Lucas - I suspect it would be a shock to him and his agent if they were asked to look for a new club at this time, but it is of course possible. (c) The owners have no "top 4" target - they want, and expect to win the league. This has been covered at length before. (d) I am not sure that Matip and Grujic will be representative of the summer spending - the owners will likely make yet another attempt to buy the league.

It is clear that Liverpool are continuing to look for an attacking wide player in addition to a goalkeeper and left back. Otherwise the have been looking pretty well across the board at players.

There will be quite a lot of disruption in the summer with players leaving to play in three separate tournaments. This should give Klipperty plenty of chance to look at some of the younger and fringe players.}

Great reply ed

In YOUR own opinion do you think we will move for Gotze? I've read what you have said about him but wanted your own thoughts please mate.

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know but I can assure you that there is no agreement at this time for him - as people kept suggesting there was. A surprise you will say after new owners taking over Liverpool a couple of weeks ago, but there you have it. Right now there have been a couple of changes with regards Goetze but these are entirely unrelated to Liverpool.}

2.) 12 Apr 2016 17:51:55
Cannot see Skrtel staying either. Matip, Sakho, Lovren and Gomez will all be ahead of him in the pecking order.

Pretty sure the club will go all out to move on Balotelli and Benteke. Moving on these two player will lighten the wage bill considerably and the last thing we need is two players in the squad eating away at the wage bill and not even making the bench.

3.) 12 Apr 2016 18:17:58
Cheers ed. Can i ask what changes there are please?

{Ed002's Note - They are unrelated to Liverpool.}

4.) 12 Apr 2016 20:50:43
Hi Eds 002. In your reply to the original poster you say that FSG will 'attempt to buy the league' but isn't that what all wealthy teams do in all the football leagues all around the world? PSG, Man City, Chelsea, Man United, Bayern, Madrid, Barcelona, etc etc have spent astonishing amounts on transfers in past and recent history so I don't see your point? This is not a dig but a genuine attempt to understand your proclamation? We'd all like to do a Leicester and spend pennies and be winners but their model is not the norm and highly unlikely to be sustainable. Thanks in advance if you choose to reply.

{Ed002's Note - I think you will find that your quoted PSG, Man City, Chelsea, Man United, Bayern, Madrid and Barcelona have done well in their leagues. Tell me again why it is not an issue for Liverpool - share with us how many times the owners have successfully bought the league - I am not sure why you don't see my point. I have to be honest is is again pretty embarrassing to read your attempted deflection away from Liverpool to bring in everybody else. Abject failure all around and you are bleating about me. Sorry.}

5.) 13 Apr 2016 00:55:10
My point Eds 002 is that teams in top leagues no matter what country they are in set out to try and buy the league/ success. Yes the previously mentioned teams are better at it than Liverpool but the crux is they all spend money. What are we supposed to do play the under 21's and not make any signings? I am incredulous at how you fail to see this? So it's ok for the others to spend money but when Liverpool spend indiscrinately, it's perceived as an 'attempt to buy the league'. Your rational is skewed and we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. Your Herculean efforts on this site are wholeheartedly appreciated but when I feel your wrong I will pull you up on it, as you do me.

{Ed002's Note - My rationale is not screwed. Liverpool buying the league is, numerically, screwed. Deflecting simply makes it funny.}

6.) 13 Apr 2016 08:03:15
Brenda - the point is that buying the league is one thing, but trying to buy the league and failing to even win cups is just throwing away money. We've spent as much as anyone but 6 mid table finishes in 7 years to show for it, clearly it's not working.

7.) 13 Apr 2016 02:56:50
Fair play Eds 002 for replying to my previous post. And yes we probably spend beyond our means but if FSG feel it's sustainable who are we the fan base to argue? As Liverpool fans we don't have a Devine right to expect marquee signings but part of supporting this amazing club is that we know there will be big money transfers. The converse would be to become like Everton for example and be happy with top flight status year on year, produce a conveyer belt of kids, sign less expensive players and hope we get lucky and win a cup from time to time. Footballs a game of opinions and we obviously don't share the same one on this subject.

{Ed002's Note - FSG do not see it as sustainable - FSG see Liverpool as a money pit they keep throwing money at without getting the success they believe they should have by now. I don't think you understand about Everton either.}

8.) 13 Apr 2016 09:15:59
I have to agree with Brenda here I'm afraid. Every team spends money in the transfer market. So at what point does it become 'trying to buy the league'?

£50mil £100mil per season? a bit of clarity on this would be helpful. In any case what people seem to be forgetting is only one team wins the league each season, so does that drop every other team that spent money into LFC's category of failing to buy the league that season?

I'm not defending our spending but feel this point needs clarifying Ed. Thanks for all the hard work on the site as well, even when we disagree, we all appreciate it!

{Ed002's Note - The Liverpool owners have spent well beyond what the club earns - which is why the club has as much debt as it does. They have been trying to buy the league and have completely failed at it. The other clubs Brenda listed have all been successful - Liverpool has not been. I am surprised this is so difficult for you to grasp.}

9.) 13 Apr 2016 14:06:45
So the answer is we curtail our spending and live within our means? that's not sexy at all. Who wants to be West Brom? No i'd rather do it the the QPR way and dance with the devil (tax man) under the pail moonlight. I appreciate I'm not an expert on fiscally running a football club like yourself EDS 002 but it doesent make my point invalid. Have a super day my friend.

10.) 13 Apr 2016 19:36:10
These types of conversations really have me starting to get on Edwin 2's side.

11.) 13 Apr 2016 23:57:43
Are you trying to sound stupid Brenda? Who in their right mind would mind would rather "do it the qpr way"? Every club should operate within its means, like arsenal. If every club did so the footballing landscape would be much prettier.

12.) 14 Apr 2016 09:19:23
Ed02 and brenda, precisely that's the reason owners have appointed klopp who is excellent in managing money. Besides there's huge TV money falling into coffers for all the PL clubs next year. Owners might not spend later if we have a decent squad already.

{Ed002's Note - Klopp has no fiscal responsibility whatsoever and as a coach he certainly was not appointed because he is "excellent in managing money". I assume you don't underswtand the concept of debt either.}

13.) 16 Apr 2016 12:06:11
Bit of a pointless debate. Every club spends money in the hope that they will be successful. If they didn't invest in the squad they wouldn't win anything would they. They have to start at the top and work their way down if they want success and now they have klopp the top is final right. we now have to invest in the right players. It's just a shame we wasted so much money in the past. YNWA.

04 Apr 2016 18:48:06
Hi Eds,

I'm just looking for some information, its not a question on suarez moving to us, all i'm asking is if he wants to see out his football at Barcelona or will he move again because last week he said he would only come back to liverpool fc if he was to come back to england, so in your opinion would suarez come back to us if he was going to/ if move back to the prem, because i would love us to have him back, as i can't see him moving to another club in the prem, i'm not saying he won't go to an other club in the prem, but i would love to see him play for us with klopp as our manager, i know this is all if'd and but's but that's what football is all about and that is dreams, as in dreaming we will win the prem one season or the champs league again,

mbrock99

{Ed002's Note - Manchester City are keen on Suarez and have held discussions with his agent but he is not their first choice although he is probably a viable option for them. Barcelona really need to sell one of their three forwards to relieve the financial issues surrounding wages - but they are reluctant.

Liverpool do not enter in to the matter.}

1.) 04 Apr 2016 19:34:50
I don't understand how Suarez could not be anyone's first choice to be honest. The man is a phenomenon. City have so much money they wouldn't care about him being 29 with not much sell on value unless it's China I suppose. Out of interest Eds 002 who are City looking at forward wise?

{Ed002's Note - You need the Manchester City page for that BD.}

2.) 04 Apr 2016 20:04:17
Nice one ed002 for your answer, i heard that man city were after him or interested in him but as i said suarez came out and said that if he were to return to the prem he would only play for us, maybe that's if we were in for him, as you have said liverpool do not enter into the matter meaning they are not interested in him maybe he meant if we were in for him he would come to us, again i would love to see him work with klopp because for me he is in the top 3 players in the world with messi and ronaldo, because there is no doubting his ability and i just thought he was a klopp type of player, he has shown he can play with couthino and sturridge add firmino to the mix then you would see one of the best attacking forward line in the prem if not the best because who would the defenders mark out of them 4, one of them would always be free which would lead to a goal for us, in my mind it would be a big mistake not to go in for him if he was for sale, why should we let man city get him and what he brings to the game, the man is a winner he has proven that when he was with us last time, it was because of him that we nearly won the prem because without his goals and assists then we would have been no where near winning the prem also sturridge played a lot better when suarez was in the team, oh well i will have to dream on, thank you very much for your answer ed002, i would hate to see him playing for man city, i don't know about this investor from the middle east if its true or not but if its true and its the brother or half brother to the man city owners then we would have the money to buy suarez, also i think he has calmed down since he has been at Barcelona so it will be a different suarez to the one we had,

3.) 04 Apr 2016 21:06:17
We'd have better odds of colonel Colonel Gadaffi turning up for coffee at the White House before we see Suarez sign for Liverpool. Where do you think Liverpool will get the gazillions it will take in transfer fee, wages, agent fees, taxes etc to fund this move mcbrock99? Our owners are looking to sell and until that happens that will mean expenditure will be moderated and frugal from here on in.

4.) 05 Apr 2016 01:16:09
I have no idea what mbrock99 said to be honest. I began reading the post but it just turns into a rant that is so hard to read. Am I correct in thinking mbrock99 that you are asking will Luis sign for city post Pep taking over?

5.) 05 Apr 2016 05:23:44
So Manchester City does not mind Suarez's past record and behavior?

{Ed002's Note - It will be a concern.}

6.) 05 Apr 2016 07:25:25
Agree AG, it should be a concern.
Our club needs to move on from Suarez IMO.
Great player - when he's not banned for biting or racism.

7.) 05 Apr 2016 08:45:40
Loved Suarez despite his stupidity, he was/ is incredible. I'd be gutted if he went to man city but it won't happen. He'll never return to the premier league.

8.) 05 Apr 2016 16:47:26
His wages now are obscene. We couldn't afford him anyway.

9.) 05 Apr 2016 17:57:57
my post was not meant to be a rant, sorry if it came across like that, i was just asking for information on him, I've heard that pep wuadiola is supposed to be keen on bringing him to man city when he takes over, so after reading that suarez said he would only ever play for liverpool if he ever came back to the prem, so no rant just asking for some imformative information from the eds, so liverbirdaet1 read it again and you will see its no rant, if i was having a rant you would know about it, but seeing as your mocking my question what do you make of it all, suarez says he will only play for liverpool if he was to come back to the prem and pep guardiola is anting to bring him to man city, which mean to me anyway that Barcelona could be willing to sell, and if our owners sell to the middle east people it will mean we have the money to compete with man city, but its just my opinion, and i don't really care about yours so make of it what you will.

10.) 05 Apr 2016 23:21:43
Don't think our owners are going anywhere yet.
Players say all sorts of rubbish then their agent changes the rhetoric - it's best to ignore players, they're not very intelligent.
I don't like suarez, he was a great player for us but missed about 25% of the games through suspension.
He's getting older now, the premiership is more difficult than La Liga. We did well financially out of him, best to move on IMO.

11.) 06 Apr 2016 11:46:10
He is an exceptional player and it is interesting that he has said he'd only move to Liverpool in premier league - he has either got more sense than we credited him with (to say that, regardless of whether or not true) or genuinely loved the place. BUT, realistically, considering he is exceptional you'd expect somewhere else on the continent to be looking at him if he was willing to move.

{Ed001's Note - amazing that he says that, but he was willing to go to court to force LFC to accept an offer from Arsenal for him.}

25 Feb 2016 14:49:08
Hi Ed002,

are we going to go for a GK in the summer.

mbrock99

{Ed002's Note - Yes. Bogdan will be going in the summer and they club will look for someone who can perhaps push Mignolet.}

1.) 25 Feb 2016 15:07:43
I'll push him!

On to the Megabus bound for Stranraer.

2.) 25 Feb 2016 15:21:56
Hi Ed002 thank you for your reply, what do you think will happen with Ward, i thought he was brought back to give migs a push which in a way he has done because i think migs has upped his game since ward came back, would like to see ward play for our 1st team but i sont think he will get a game unless migs gets injured.

{Ed002's Note - I don't know what will happen with Ward - right now at best he will be third choice at Liverpool. Bringing him back was a mistake - and that has been covered.}

3.) 25 Feb 2016 16:18:50
It was not a mistake to recall him we had too because Bogdan was not good enough to even be a backup keeper.

4.) 25 Feb 2016 16:43:45
Genius Ron! But Stranrear is too close too Anfield he might come back!

{Ed001's Note - just put a ball in front of the gates and he will miss them every time...}

5.) 25 Feb 2016 17:59:53
We all know migs won't be first choice next year .

6.) 25 Feb 2016 20:58:55
I honestly think the criticism of mings is a bit unfair yeah he's a bit rash and a bit scared but very few team have great goal keepers.

7.) 25 Feb 2016 21:07:00
Kloppo it was a mistake to recall ward because now instead of him playing competitive football week in week out, and gaining much needed experience and confidence, he's been left to sit on a bench knowing he's not going to get a game unless klopp HAS to play him, how do you think ward himself feels about this.

8.) 25 Feb 2016 21:46:50
Priceless from Boot Room Boys
Nothing personal obviously but when you describe our keeper as " rash and scared" but still want to defend him you must be one hell of a lawyer team. Defending the undefendable.

9.) 26 Feb 2016 02:13:39
Boot, its true. Only winners have good keepers, lol.

10.) 25 Feb 2016 22:52:47
I don't think it's defending the indefensible but can u name me a world class goal keeper that's available or even a good pl player that's available to take his place at the minute. There's a lot of goal keepers that's far better than him but there the ones that (a) we can't afford or (b) won't come to us.

11.) 26 Feb 2016 11:33:39
BRB - sorry but I totally disagree. I don't like putting down players who are playing for us but we have aspirations of being a top 4 team so we ought to expect our 'keepers to be amongst the top 4 in the league. At the moment there's Cech, de Gea, Lloris, Hart, Schmeichel, butland and Begovic who I rate higher than Mings in this league alone. Off the top of my head I can't think of how much each cost, but I don't think many would have been more expensive to their clubs than Mings was to us. He's not solely to blame for all of the defensive blunders (centrebacks need to take a share of the blame too) but i think we need someone who is happy to communicate and marshall the whole defence. I'm not suggesting that we go out and get one of those 'keepers, just making the point that with good scouting there are good players out there who'd be happy to play for us.

12.) 26 Feb 2016 13:02:07
Better keeprs than Mings in the PL - Cech, Ospina, Guzan, Boruc, Courtois, Begovic, Hennessey, McCarthy, Howard, Robles, Schmeichel, Schwarzer, Hart, Caballero, De Gea, Romero, Krul, Skekelenburg, Forster, Lloris, Vorm, Butland, Mannone, Fabianski, + Foster, Adrian. That is the PL alone. I think at least one of them could have been available.

13.) 26 Feb 2016 14:02:07
@hjikle, would you be happy if we targeted any of the following - Guzan, Boruc, Henessey, McCarthy, Howard (seriously? ), Schwarzer, Romero, Krul, Steklenburg, Mannone?

That's 10 of your list I'd personally be very disappointed to be chasing.

14.) 26 Feb 2016 22:44:26
@hjikle, behave. All you've done is list almost every goal keeper in the league there. Mignolet is no A-grade but he's certainly a lot better than at least half of your list, as Sean Ireland rightly points out.

15.) 27 Feb 2016 04:04:58
I agree, migs has got to be in the bottom three keepers in the league. Many teams have numbers 2's better than him. I do think the likes of boruc, mannone, Hennessy are better I don't think they're a step up enough to be actually worth buying. If we have aspirations of top 4 we need to be targeting better than those. What are peoples thoughts on Adrian at west ham? Every time I see him play he seems to have blinders but does seem prone to the odd error. How about navas? Doesn't seem to be getting a great deal of game time at Madrid.

16 Nov 2015 15:47:22
Hi Ed002,

first of all thank you for your answer the other day, it was very good and more of an answer than i hoped for so a big thank's

i asked you about if we would get good German players because of klopp being our manager, i sis not mean him going back to Dortmund for player's i meant players that are unknown to many of us from other club's in Germany as i've noticed when manager's from other country's come to England they sign player's who most of us have never heard of and they turn out to be very good if you know what I mean, look at Memphis Depay i think he signed for Man Utd because of the manager or the manager was one of the major factor's, i really hope Klopp has a player up his sleeve who is an relativley (sorry about my spelling ) unknown talent to most outside Germany also i seen a football show where we have a good following in germany because of the German player's that used to play for us, like Markus Babbel and Karl Heinz Reideler, what a striker he was for us but because of these and other german player's we do have a fan base,

Once again Ed002 thank you very much for you're answer and i will hope and wait to see if Klopp pull one from the hat and he is a success i understand better about our finances or lack of them and the debt we are in but it really do believe Klopp will bring success to our club and we will win throphies with him and hopefully he will bring the big one back home for the 1st time, i don't want to play fantasy football manager so that's why i have not mentioned any name's plus i have not watched much German football so don't have a clue about who is top class and who is not except for the obvious one's,

sorry about the long post Ed002.

mbrock99

{Ed002's Note - Memphis Depay may not have been well known to you but a number of clubs had been looking at him for some time with Manchester United being interested before van Gaal arrived. You need to remember that most of the work is done by the scouting system - obviously with the input of the manager on occasion. Certainly Klipperty will ask scouts to look at certain players he has an interest in and these may well include players they have not considered before. A quick glance at Klopp's transfer history at Dortmund shows a little over half of the players the club purchased in that time were German-based and many were from the second division. I would not read too much in to that. One thing is for sure, the club will not be buying German players because of the fan base - it will be because they can (hopefully) improve the squad. As I have said, there are certainly a couple of German based players Liverpool have looked at.}

1.) 16 Nov 2015 18:26:16
Based on history the type of players klopp want is regardless of nationality. Like kagawa and abumenyang. Who knows he might actually sign a korean player and that will be first for liverpool. All i can say is it will not be star names that has been thrown about simply because signing ready made stars is not klopp style.

2.) 17 Nov 2015 16:03:11
Nice one ed002 for the answer, i've re-read the questions and your answers and i did a bit of reflecting of both and it dawned on me that one thing stood out and that was hope and anticipation about our future under Klopp and what we can achieve, the hope is there its hope because nothing is guaranteed, all this had gone under BR we had no hope or i never, even when we finished 2nd with the prem title in our own hands i never once felt that we would win it because BR never had the tactics on the run in to get us over the line, we lost hendo and that turned out to be a maybe it was the difference of winning it and coming 2nd i don't know but BR should have known and had the tactics in those last games, under klopp if we are in the same position with 3 or 4 games to go i feel we will have a better chance and hope that we could win it that's the difference between JK and BR a player like suarez helped a lot as well lol, so if klopp gets a player like suarez then our chance of winning the prem will treble

anyway Ed002 thanks for your answers.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

15 Nov 2015 12:59:53
Hi Eds,

We all know from the major tournaments like the world cup and other competitions that Germany have a great solid way of defending that is what makes then very hard to beat, and they have a great midfield and a few good strikers, so with Klopp as our manager do you think there will be some top or very good german players wanting to join us because of our link with german players in the past and with Klopp as our manager, i'm sure he has a good name in germany and top players will come because of him, but when we had BR as our manager we got player who came for the money and not the manager, where as players will come because of Klopp, as they would have seen what he done in germany and what he has won, but with BR they will look at what he has achieved and then would not even consider coming to us, players now know we have Klopp and they will look at him and our clubs history and they will know they have a chance of winning things when they join us

so eds do you think we will get some very good players from germany, and if we do who do you know or think will want to come to us.

mbrock99

1.) 15 Nov 2015 13:40:54

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool are not in a position where they can rebuild the team yet again. Klopp has made it clear he will not return to Dortmund for players and that there is no money to spend in the short-term. Obviously I don't know what players you are specifically thinking of but the history of German players at Liverpool will be of no consequence. Klopp would be a draw, as would the money in the English game. As for the owners, I am not sure how much stomach they will have for making continued significant investments whilst the club is carrying a great deal of debt and their investment is being eroded. I can imagine a couple of players based in Germany that might be an option at some point.}

2.) 15 Nov 2015 15:05:30
Gundigon and who else you thinking mate?

{Ed002's Note - I am certainly not thinking of Gundogan.}

maybe klopp will pull a signing out of the bag and catch everyone off guard, i hope so any way i'm sure the club is looking for a left back.

mbrock99

1.) 31 Aug 2016 20:20:43
give your head a shake.

2.) 31 Aug 2016 20:25:39
for sure we will bag a late one .

31 Aug 2016 19:51:50
for people who think we have had a bad transfer window, explain why, did we need to buy 10 players or more, or is the team there but klopp just needs to sort it out, we have matip and the new goalie, everyone wanted a new goalie and we did need a new defender, we bought mane and he is scoring and playing very well, in my eyes he could easy replace sturridge in the team, our new keeper will come in and replace mingolet, matip played once and got loads of praise, so what's the problem with this window, just because we got our players early people think we are not doing any buissness in the transfer window maybe next window klopp should leave it till the last minute then when we miss out on players the fans will be happy because we tried to buy players in the last hour,

im happy with the players we have at the club and i'm glad we have got rid of the fringe players it means the wages are down, there's still a few to leave as well.

mbrock99

1.) 31 Aug 2016 20:00:59
We do need a LB though.

31 Aug 2016 19:34:16
i just can't believe a pro club who needs a left back would go for so long not getting one considering how much it would improve the team,

mbrock99

1.) 31 Aug 2016 20:37:45
I think it is safe to assume we missed out on our targets, and there is no one currently available that would improve us without being held to ransom.

hi eds have the rules changed on kick offs in the centre circle, i thought the ball had to go forward from the kick off before it can get passes back, but i seen in the gemanay game v france and in tonights game Nani was alone at the start of the kick off on his own and just passed the ball back, si is this a new rule ot are the plauers getting it wrong.

{Ed001's Note - yes it changed.}

thanks eds for the quick reply, did it change for this tournament or for the season and is it for all of football, at least it puts another player in the attacking phase of the kick off.

{Ed001's Note - it changed ahead of the tournament.}

Are you going for the most posts in a row?

i wonder how much Griezmans transfer fee has gone up by, do the eds know how much he was worth before the euro's, he really is good in the air for his size, plus tonights game will be his 70th game of the season, he puts a lot of players to shame who can't play 2 or 3 games on the run he puts jack wiltshire to shame.

i like milner and we do miss his crosses and passes when he is in midfield, and would we really miss sturridge if he is going to be injured all the time any way, not since suarez was with us have we had more than 10 games from sturridge, i understand he is unhappy but as far as i cam make out some of his injuries are in his head or he won't play if he does not feel a 100% even though the doctors have said he is fit, i would sell sturridge because we would get a very good price for him and also he is injured too much i would love another player like suarez whos attitude was he just wanted to play all the time he did not worry if he had a little niggle and he gave his all and never held anything back were as i think sturridge won't sprint or run like he used to do maybe he has been told not to sprint to much or run too much

its a pity we never got a quality or decent left back in the transfer window then instead of having a few players un happy we would on have moreno unhappy.

to all of you who want studge to play up front can you tell me how many games you will get out of him this season where as i know we will get over 5 games on the bounce from firmino, let's be realistic studge can't demand a starting place if he is only going to play a handful of games, maybe this will get him past his mental part of his injuries, we know on hid day studge is one of the best about but he has not been that since suarez was in the team, i would get rid of him because he is injured most of the season, plus to me he has lost his legs, the speed he once had is not there anymore.

i would take the eds opinion of him, the eds don't have an axe to grind they just tell it how it is and if you don't agree then that's your right to do so, but i will stick with the eds because they do this site and give us information you don't get from any where else and yes they can be wrong some of the time but not all the time and if they say he is not that good i'm inclined to believe them instead of anyone else, or the stats that don't make sense at time, just like a goal keeper who has a 100% shut out rate after coming on for the last 10 minutes, people will believe that he is a good keeper because he has the 100% shut out rate, i wonder what skertals stats were, the player can't be that good if he was relegated.

irish rover you said we are in the top 4 at the moment but then said it better than were we finished in the last 2 seasons, that's what i was on about, you put it across as if to say we are in the top 4 and we will finish in the top 4 with you saying its higher than were we finished in the last 2 seasons, so how does now make it were we finished the last 2 seasons,

ive also thought that if a team does not win then the players shold not get paid, imagine the difference with some players and in some games were we have seen the players playing like they don't care it will never happen and just a dream by me but it happens already in some jobs where people only get paid on commission, years ago the players never got payed that much to todays wages but believe me there was some very good players who neverwent down holding their face when they got touched in the leg, years ago the players were proper men
