hey ed002, is there any interest in lovren?

{Ed002's Note - No, I am pretty sure there isn't.}

1.) 18 Jul 2015 14:27:56
thanks 002 mate

26 Jan 2015 11:28:29
BennyC any update on tomorrows team mate?

1.) 26 Jan 2015 18:35:19
Unchanged from first leg is the word.
Can skrtle sakho
Markovic hendo Lucas Moreno
Gerrard sterling coutinho

2.) 27 Jan 2015 00:05:19
thanks mate. assuming this is the team, then atleast we know BR is putting the strongest team, maybe with sturridge on the bench?

17 Oct 2014 03:57:57
Batman, are we still looking to sign Valdes or has that ship sailed?

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing new that I am aware of.}

1.) Other than valdes, whick goalkeeper we are interested?

{Ed002's Note - Cassilas if he becomes available.}

12 Oct 2014 01:29:06
hey ed, did we really offer valdes a trial? seems weird offering a trial, i thought trials are normally offered to young footballers.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, to prove his fitness.}

just watched the extended highlights of the match against united.

ive never really seen shaqiri play, but boy were you right about shaqiri (read your review the other day) . almost impossible to push off the ball despite not being the biggest.

1.) 31 Jul 2018 12:38:08
Not the biggest in height but width he is huge, Iv not seen many top level footballers with as much muscle as he has and his low centre of gravity means he’s even harder to push off the ball.

2.) 31 Jul 2018 12:53:37
IMO his greatest asset is his close control in small spaces and could suit the 10 role as well as out wide.

3.) 31 Jul 2018 15:39:43
His close control is pretty good but I think his biggest asset is his ability with a dead ball.

hey ed001, if the bid for lemar is true and with the signing of keita, it seems a far better approach than the early stages of the transfer window, with reports coming out of everywhere. with lemar and keita reports were minimal and were mainly the big ones like bbc.

i hope its a sign that changes have slowly taken place since all the tapping up and informing the press issues?

1.) 29 Aug 2017 09:35:09
If we sign van Dijk, Lemar and Keita, that represents a superb transfer window, even if we lose Coutinho (who was always going to force a move) . The next job is to convince Can that his future should be here and not abroad, the big fella is captain material.

2.) 29 Aug 2017 11:23:19
Sorry for the ignorance but haven't Barcelona withdrew their bid for pc? Or is that media bs? Is any other club intrested like psg i know they have spent a few quid but won't even attempt to try and understand football money and not sure if this is a factor.

15 Aug 2017 16:02:01
hi ed002 if you're around.

1. hypothetical question, would we be able to afford both vvd and nobby without selling coutinho? just wondering.

2. if we can't what about after selling coutinho? i would think were almost certain to be selling him to barcelona.

{Ed002's Note - The issue is not the money.}

1.) 15 Aug 2017 16:32:01
Coutinho was always going to go at some point to spain.

Take the money and let him go, it won't be as big a loss as when saurez went.

2.) 15 Aug 2017 16:34:27
okay i think that pretty much answers my question, and yes i understand there are other issues, hence its a hypothetical, assuming there are no other issues.

thanks and have a good day 002.

3.) 15 Aug 2017 16:48:58
Lavers, you're right, it won't be as big a loss as suarez but we fell off the edge of a cliff when he left. Had he stayed, I'm convinced we would have won the league. If Coutinho stays, I'd say we improve on our points total from last season, if he goes I think we'll slip back out of the top 4 and back into transition. Simple as that for me, we have to keep him.

4.) 15 Aug 2017 17:56:21
I'm with you on saurez liverducks.

I just feel coutinho is still too inconsistent for me and 100mil seems like a cracking bit of business. I know even on a bad day he keeps 2 players busy marking him, but with salah coming in he will have the same effect.

For me personally id be more bothered about mane going than coutinho.

03 Jun 2017 05:49:05
hey eds with all the interest and players being mentioned, do you see us breaking our transfer records? both for individual player and total spending?

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, there is so much more money in the Prem this season, I expect most of the clubs to do so.}

1.) 03 Jun 2017 07:53:43
Scary to think what the world record transfer fee will be within the next few seasons. crazy money.

2.) 03 Jun 2017 09:03:09
It is a great shame that "the people's game" has become so completely detached from the reality of those that support it.

06 May 2017 14:22:05
goal difference just blown away by city, winning 5 nil to crystal palace.

1.) 06 May 2017 14:50:21
Think we will finish 4th now. City's remaining games are a stroll in the park.

2.) 06 May 2017 15:16:22
Yeah just like Boro last week.

3.) 06 May 2017 16:10:43
No easy games left, far from over! One of us are going to drop points, let's hope it's not us!

4.) 06 May 2017 17:12:02
They'll lose or draw next week to Leicester. We just need to worry about our own points tally and nothing else.

5.) 06 May 2017 17:19:45
Amazing crystal palace get blown away 5 nil, but we couldn't. Ah well football is funny like that.

6.) 06 May 2017 18:01:10
Today the genius that is allardyce decided to play a wingback at centre back van anholt right of him was kelly and left of him was schlupp a striker/ winger/ left back. It's not really a surprise.

Football is NOT an exact science as if it was, LC would NEVER have been champions. Let's focus on what we need to do and forget the rest cos if we don't win our games, it won't matter to us what other teams do.

if karius continues to perform like he is right now, im happy to give him a full season next season.

only make a purchase someone like alisson is attainable. most likely he is not, so first team focus should be on right back, and replacements where necessary.

anyway ed001, do you think we'll be looking at any CBs? is klopp happy with the 5 that he has (including gomez), or are there potential changes there as well?

{Ed001's Note - in the immortal words of Ed002 - rtp!}

this is related to the world cup ed002? i imagine both player (involved in the world cup) and clubs would like to settle everything early with the world cup in mind, so it doesn't disrupt the tournament.

{Ed002's Note - Clubs do t worry about disruption to theWC but some countries won’t release players for Medicaid.}

finding someone to replace phil? he's a good player i get it, but id say that his role has already been replaced by another role.

its not about replacing him anymore next window, its about taking the club to another level.

wow he got away with a fine. really players should be a role model, these are people that are looked up by a lot of the younger generation. shame people like this continue to be in the top tier of football.

you make a good point there ed001, while we are a strong team, and a team that not many would like to up against, we are massively lacking in the trophies department, something that has to change beginning with this season. players will join us, but their ultimate goal will always be to win trophies.

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate.}

Milner is playing at a really high level for consecutive games, for the life of me i really did not imagine this happening. this season he has upped his game multiple levels.

he is your usual 7/ 10 guy but really, he's becoming a very hard to replace player by the looks of it.

if there is any weakness to Robertson so far it is that, there was even a clip from one of the previous games where van dijk was screaming at robertson to stop the cross as i recall.

{Ed001's Note - to be honest all full-backs seem to allow crosses these days. I remember being told the job of a full-back was to stop them when I was a kid. These days very few do.}
