I work for a German group of companies, been on the annual gathering yesterday, I was speaking to one of the German chaps (Bremen fan) about klopp, saying we had been linked with him, but asking what was in the German media about him. He said klopp is a fantastic manager and linked with every job that is going-he is so good. I mean, I read that he is a good manager, but I don't personally know. But this guy said he is brilliant! But not linked with liverpool no more than any other team. Not great news, but just shows certain fans (including me as a fan) we believe what we want to believe. So don't hold your breath he won't be coming to us, as much as I hope. . But you never know, he might just.

this has been done to death. but had Ramos not injured Salah, and had Karius not made 2 silly mistakes, right now i think we would still celebraing wiining.

The reason for the post is re Karius. Yes he made two mistakes (he did pull off several other great saves though), the guy is absolutely mortified, and sorry. IMO fair play to him, he's not the first player to cock up and certinaly won't be the last, the guy is human, he has come out and apologised, now he needs to get his head don and crack on, I know people learn from mistakes, so yes, this could be the end of him, but could also be the making.

Those people who are making threats to him, and his family need to calm down, get a grip on reality and stop been daft. I support liverpool and everything that they are for, have always and always will, but at the end of the game guys and girls it is a GAME, we win together, lose together and wish no harm on one another no matter what circumstances etc. and certianly not from our own.

Well said mate! Sending threats to him is unecessary, yeah he made some mistakes and we’re anymore and upset about it but in no way shape or form do a few mistakes constitute for death threats.
Loris karius YNWA.

2.) 27 May 2018 22:10:55
Good post mate. Mistakes happen its just fortunate that it happened in the final. I still think there's a good keeper in him. He will learn from this. Get his head down and work hard. I was more angry with ramps. If lovern or Virgil had of did that on Ronaldo there would be an uproar. It's done lads. We have to back him and give him our support. On wards and upwards.

Hi, first things first, absolutley buzzing after yesterdays result! though was abit of a nervy finish, never feels safe even with a 2 goal cushion, but hopefully VVD will help keep the calm and eradicate that.

Anyway this isn't directly lfc related, but when do you think the crazy transfers will stop? I was speaking to a guy yesterday who claimed in the chinese league, when teams splashed the big cash, they had to pay the same fee as the transfer to the FA who put the money in to grass roots football.

I think that would be a fantastic idea for this country, its a win win situation, if the big fee is paid, then the grass roots benefit, and if all clubs stop these big fees then the prices will stop rising for the fans. i think something needs to be done bebause it is just getting ridiculous.

I also think it would be a good idea to have transfer caps, i. e a 16-24 year old striker can go for a max. £30 mil. a 25-32 can go for a max. £50 mil. 33+ £20 mil. blah blah blah. what does anyone else think, and is anything like this being considered?

Also, VAR - what a load of bull! football should be the same at all levels, rather than waste money with that, put that money into grass roots, maybe we might have a decent national team in 10 years. Decisions should be left open to banter / opinion (which makes it all so good) .

imagine getting 50 million for Salah, i think i would lose the will to live, sorry but that's a horrible suggestion that takes away any power the clubs still have over their own players!

Couts has handed in a transfer request according to the vultures at ss news.

Gutted, but if he wants to go, let him go. We have lost our best players in the past. Players come and go but we will always be LFC bigger than any player.

Cash in, move on and good luck to him, he's been a cracking player.

lfc-1984

1.) 11 Aug 2017 12:40:23
Seems he is no longer 50/ 50 then.

2.) 11 Aug 2017 12:27:18
Well that didn't last long.
Just sell him now. Enough is enough and pay up for Keita whatever is necessary coz our season is very close to nosediving.

3.) 11 Aug 2017 12:33:14
You can't blame the guy for wanting to progress.

4.) 11 Aug 2017 12:33:27
Yes and if we keep losing our best players we can keep forgetting about winning the league.

He has a 5 year contract. If he wants to sulk for the season in a World Cup year so be it.

I'd put him in the ressies if that's the case, let Barcelona find someone else.

5.) 11 Aug 2017 12:33:44
Buckle up eds it's about to get bumpy!

6.) 11 Aug 2017 12:33:46
Spot on hope we can get something sorted out soon so we can look at replacing him. Let's not get sucked into he can't be replaced.

7.) 11 Aug 2017 12:44:03
The club will look like fools once again by writing that statement saying he won't be sold this window if he does go. Espically if we end up signing Van Dijk aswell, twice in this window 2 statements we've gone back on our word😂.

8.) 11 Aug 2017 13:01:27
FSG will not allow themselves to look like fools. American businessmen will not be made a fool of in public and Cou's team made a mistake here, IMO.

Cobra, find a replacement? Who would that be? How much would that replacement cost? You are aware that if we sell him now, we will have the same issues Barcelona are having with replacing Neymar as no one wants to sell to them and those who do, want most of the Neymar money, right? We will struggle big time if we let him go and this will only lead to panic buying and clearly, Klopp will not do that. He must not be sold, end of and I'm with the owners on this.

Nothing to back this up really but I just have a feeling that our summer transfers will be Robertson n McGuire from hull, bale and defoe. bale would be awesom, cost a lot, but could get the Defoe nothing, and the other 2 for 25 mil. Pure hope but I would be well chuffed with those realistic 4.

lfc-1984

1.) 16 May 2017 11:15:23
Do you mean Gareth Bale? If so there's no chance. Even if he was available we would be at the end of the queue.

2.) 16 May 2017 11:24:47
Maybe I'm missing something but do you mean Gareth Bale? Not realistic target at all. I don't think Defoe is what we need either.

3.) 16 May 2017 11:26:41
Hahahaha! Realistic 3, other one less realistic than Liverpool signing me to replace Mane!

4.) 16 May 2017 11:27:57
Not sure if Christian Bale plays footie. Maybe he is a hidden gem?

5.) 16 May 2017 11:26:17
I want what you are smoking.

6.) 16 May 2017 13:08:19
Nothing to back it up with? 'cept Liverpoolecho saying Roberston is a done deal and that we're also looking at McGuire? :p.

7.) 16 May 2017 14:41:47
I don't believe any of those rumours. Why? Macguire is pants (he's not even better than Wisdom) and Robertson is not good enough for CL or top PL level.

8.) 16 May 2017 16:26:02
Oh dear. 😂.

9.) 16 May 2017 16:27:15
Strange that ed002 hasn't commented on the Gareth Bale rumour 🤔.

10.) 16 May 2017 17:11:34
Bale at LB - awesome!

11.) 16 May 2017 17:51:23
Bale 'realistic' come on mate.

I'm sure this may have been mentioned before.

It goes without saying that we are struggling for goals in certain games. Benteke is not doing the business, whether it be down to quality, confidence, or what.

People say that Sinclair is a good player, you could tell by his finish in the Exeter game that he is a good finisher, as it was placed in the corner with composure rather than just been thrashed at. Apparently we will be kicking ourselves if he leaves, and wants to leave / won't sign a new contract because of lack of opportunities. Why don't we give the lad a chance and see what happens, it can't be any worse than the current striking situation. if he has a bad attitude, it is probably down to the fact that as a team we couldn't score in a brothel and he isn't getting a sniff. 2 lots of 90 mins, and I bet he starts doing the job, but will probably never know.

On Sakho again, sorry, I just do not get it. Great guy. Awful defender.

1.) 04 Feb 2016 12:13:32
TBH If I was klopp, I would play Ibe close to Firmino and drop Milner and Lallana from anything on the pitch. Both of them would never score goals. I would also play Ojo as the out and out winger which the kid actually is rather than any CM or ACM on the flanks.

2.) 04 Feb 2016 12:42:53
Totally agree with the Sakho comment! He is terrible.

3.) 04 Feb 2016 13:37:25
Sakho are best CB at the club .

4.) 04 Feb 2016 13:40:19
You couldn't make it up. You say he is a good manager but now you are telling him how to pick the team.

5.) 04 Feb 2016 14:26:49
Redtim17 - Sakho best defender at the club, yeh, and that says it all doesn't it.

6.) 04 Feb 2016 15:48:28
Sakho send to need a few games to readjust his radar after a layoff.
He'll be ok 😎.

Didi speak sense: “We all know what Steven Gerrard did for the club, but even if he does just train, if a central midfielder gets injured, the first question at the press conference will be, ‘Are you going to give him a contract? ’"

“And that’s the last thing Klopp needs — constant speculation about Steven Gerrard. I’m not sure even training with them is a good idea. ”.

gerrards book mentions about him having to gee him (studge) up abit and give him the encouragement to play sometimes when he (studge) thought he wasn't fit enough. seems like abit of a mental issue that he needs to get over. if he continues to play the amount of games he as done in the last 2 years we need to let him move on, make the space in the squad and get someone in who is desperate to play every week and will go through the pain barrier (as would suarez)

torres was loved by liverpool fans and he never got that love, the singing etc. the star man status at chelsea. If you ask him, i bet being honest he would regret ever leaving. I think take a punt on him, when the fans start singing his name again (and forgive and forget and all that) he will get his confidence back and i'd back him to bag a few goals. well certianly more than our current crop score. On another note, i feel sorry for lambert, we just do not play to his strengths, must be so frustrating for the poor guy.

I agree Phil, but what I am saying, is that if we took advantage of their poor defending the game would have been won by 30min mark, and it wasnt.

They defended badly, we defended badly, they took advantage, we didnt.

We are not a much better team than city at all, yes we have good games when we could blow anyone away, but we are not the only team who kicks arese when they can be bothered to properly turn up.

are you joking? how are we a much better team? they were defending like school kids and we didn't take advantage. we should have done, that's what a 'better team' would have done - made them suffer.

We started defending like school kids, and they took us to the cleaners.

But, today was a bad day at the office, to take the positives out of it if any, at least it will be a slap back to reality and having to show fight, because so many people had us down as the best team in europe after that result again arsenal, and let's be honest if we didn't beat them the way they were playing that day we might aswell just give up.

Roll on tuesday back to winning ways.
