Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir, according to L'Equipe.

The French sports daily also says the player, 24, is set to undergo a medical at Melwood on Friday.

The_TimelordV1

1.) 07 Jun 2018 22:40:23
At Melwood? Isn’t he flying out with the rest of the France squad tomo or Saturday.

2.) 07 Jun 2018 23:23:04
Anything to print onto paper lol.

3.) 08 Jun 2018 05:38:01
They are playing in France, specifically in Lyon on Saturday against the U. S. He is not going to be a starter for France at this time so if he leaves he will be okay.

4.) 08 Jun 2018 06:04:42
What Harry? So signing bench player for £50mil . that's shxt.

5.) 08 Jun 2018 09:23:57
No, Firmino anf Coutinho for the longest time could not get into the Brazil squad. Coutinho was being pipped by Oscar for the longest time and Firmino is getting pipped by Jesus does not mean he is rubbish just the quality of the national team. Julian Brandt and Sule are not guaranteed to be starters for Germany, but teams would buy them for premium.

6.) 08 Jun 2018 09:29:09
That's not what he meant, clever clogs. Although I'm not sure how you know he won't start tomorrow night's game, Harry? If the transfer is completed today then I really hope he does start and absolutely obliterates a very poor USA side with a double hat-trick or sth.

7.) 08 Jun 2018 09:32:45
Bought fabinho for 40m and he isn't an international squad player!

8.) 08 Jun 2018 10:22:46
True Jammin, although this will be Fernandinho's last World Cup so Fabinho should be a squad mainstay pretty soon. Personally, i think it's a strange omission from Tite considering Fabinho's versatility. I mean, I know nothing of Renato Augusto, but playing in the Chinese 'Super' League tells me enough, and Fágner who!? I suppose every manager has their favorites, but there are certainly advantages of him not going to Russia for five weeks or however long it may be.

Liverpool are on alert after Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure admitted this week "it would be a dream" to play for them.

"Liverpool is a club that need no introduction, " said Doucoure.

"I was impatient to play there, at Anfield. I wanted to feel the atmosphere.

"For me it would be a dream to play in a club like this. "

Always thought he would put grow Watford and I think would be a can replacement if true.

The_TimelordV1

{Ed002's Note - Is that "red alert".}

1.) 28 Mar 2018 10:39:02
Good player.

2.) 28 Mar 2018 11:01:26
Only a month ago I read his comments that he has always wanted to play for Arsenal 😂 great player, but he is starting to seem like a bit of a flake.

3.) 28 Mar 2018 11:10:23
Anyone else remember when Arshavin had about 14 dreams in a week after euro 2008 linked him to everyone.

4.) 28 Mar 2018 11:58:47
Where exactly did you read that MK? He was at one point quoted out of context when he indicated he was convinced to move to the premiership by Arsenal's Abou Diaby. I don't remember ever reading anything about his direct preference to play at Arsenal.

5.) 28 Mar 2018 13:44:55
It was a direct quote Reynard. I don't know what the exact question was but Doucoure said (from memory) "Arsenal because of Arsene Wenger".

I expect it was a loaded question but he has still expressed a desire to play for Arsenal, and now Liverpool whilst he is still contracted to Watford. A few days ago nearly everyone wanted to burn Emre Can at the stake, just for talking about which league he wants to play in next season. Double standards?

I'd still take Doucoure. He is a really good player and he reminds me of Patrick Vieira the way he glides forward from deep, bullies the opposition, fires in shots from the edge of the box, crunches in to tackles etc. I'm just pointing out that he seems to have a problem with keeping his mouth shut when the press ask loaded questions.

6.) 28 Mar 2018 14:35:02
I'd take Doucoure too (if Ndidi was not available) . There's a serious need for one DM in the squad, even if Klopp uses him only against certain teams.

And I wouldn't worry too much about players mouthing off. It's par for the course now. They forget what they've said. And readers forget what they've read. Kinda balances things out a bit, I find. 😎.

7.) 28 Mar 2018 15:45:37
Wow, thanks MK mate. I totally missed it. I reckon you're probably right and he was responding to a loaded question. People forget that footballers are kids (at 25 I was doing some really stupid stuff! ) and it is fairly easy to catch them out. I agree with you that he has the Patrick Viera quality which is why I can see him being matched to Arsenal but I definitely think he's worth a shout if Can leaves and we don't want to overload the team with extreme earners and as a French speaker he would be a good companion for the incoming Keita.

8.) 28 Mar 2018 17:00:34
Personally I think he is a better player than Ndidi.

9.) 28 Mar 2018 21:22:22
I have seen very little of Doucoure so I watched him with some keeness when we last played them. He played most of the match on the right side coming up against Gini and was fairly anonymous (much like gini) . Im not sure if it was the 2 of them blanking each other out. His involvement improved greatly when Gini was subbed. However this also co-incided with Hughes coming on which pushed Doucoure more centrally.

09 Feb 2018 10:08:09
I see once again we are being linked to De Vrij. Is there any truth do we know or has the link gone cold? (Teehee)

The_TimelordV1

{Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath.}

1.) 09 Feb 2018 12:20:58
Quick question ed! if you were to hold his breath, will it count as murder or attempted murder, depending on how far you go?

2.) 09 Feb 2018 16:23:59
If he actually did hold his breath that long, I think it would be classified as a mercy killing.

3.) 09 Feb 2018 18:18:06
Thank you ed.

Liverpool have announced that they have signed Colombian wonderkid Anderson Arroyo.

Arroyo, 18, made 22 appearances for Fortaleza CEIF over the last three seasons and the defender's impressive performances in Colombia caught the attention of Liverpool officials.

The Merseyside giants were heavily linked with Arroyo in the January transfer window and have now confirmed that a deal was reached before the deadline.

'Liverpool FC can now confirm the completion of the signing of defender Anderson Arroyo, who has immediately moved to Real Mallorca on an 18-month loan deal, ' an official statement of Liverpool's website reads.

Welcome to the club young man.

The_TimelordV1

1.) 06 Feb 2018 18:03:06
Wonderkid 🙈.

2.) 06 Feb 2018 18:07:26
Anyone know how good he is?

3.) 06 Feb 2018 19:48:41
Certainly don’t think he’s in the wonderkid category.

4.) 06 Feb 2018 21:03:47
Sadly he's likely to be another one we mismanage. Hopefully not but our track record isn't great.

5.) 06 Feb 2018 21:45:12
Needs a work permit doesn't he? Hence the Loan.

6.) 06 Feb 2018 22:14:20
Thumbs down because I asked how good he is? jesus some of u are fickle.

7.) 07 Feb 2018 02:17:46
speed, speed, speed, can play both sides.

8.) 07 Feb 2018 17:00:43
100% agree with aoe or trackback record is shocking and embarrassing lad's it can't be denied.

9.) 07 Feb 2018 18:55:41
Trackback record doh🤣.

30 Aug 2017 19:24:12
A question for the eds if I may.

With PSG desperately trying to conform to ffp, have we looked at any central defenders currently playing for them?

The_TimelordV1

{Ed001's Note - I don't believe so.}

1.) 30 Aug 2017 21:10:16
Thank you.

According to sky we are now in the running for jack grealish if Aston Villa. We are supposed to be willing to get near there £40 million asking price after spurs wouldn't go over £20 million.

Personally I think that lad has good potential but would only be a bench warmer.

Also if I can ask the Ed's if they like me are worried when the African nations comes up we will lose most of our frontline?

The_TimelordV1

{Ed002's Note - The African Nations will have no impact on Liverpool.}

1.) 21 Jun 2018 10:58:09
And no interest in Grealish I hope. Bang average.

2.) 21 Jun 2018 12:01:05
Hasn't been moved to the summer?

3.) 21 Jun 2018 12:23:28
That's what I thought but not sure what year.

4.) 21 Jun 2018 17:51:27
Yes I had a look and it has been moved to the summer next year. Apologies to everyone.

08 Jun 2018 22:41:52
Congratulations to the king on an award a longtime coming.

Sir kenny!

I know it's still a bit off but I was wondering if Liverpool made it to the semi final of the FA cup and were drawn against Spurs, would the game still take place at Wembley which would surely be a unfair advantage to Spurs? Just wondering what the Ed's think?

The_TimelordV1

{Ed002's Note - It would be moved.}

1.) 27 Jan 2018 19:40:55
Would it actually? Id rather it be played at Wembley, more of a day out - equal fan allocation too.

2.) 27 Jan 2018 19:59:11
Cardiff?

3.) 27 Jan 2018 20:14:04
Semi final lol🙈 Not the way we defend, worse I've seen in a long time watching Liverpool.

4.) 27 Jan 2018 20:34:02
You are right. Our defence is beyond words. shocking that Klopp is unable to fix it. Oh Liverpool! We need Devine help. Klopp is not the coach for us! I am sorry. It’s clear that Matip is useless but keeps on fielding him.

5.) 27 Jan 2018 21:02:57
AA has been a liability today.

6.) 27 Jan 2018 21:11:14
Maybe it's time for midfield for Alexander Arnold.

7.) 27 Jan 2018 21:16:04
Semi final?! 😂😂😂😂.

8.) 27 Jan 2018 21:47:27
Another bad day. Should we continue to be patient with Klopp? That’s a question all Fans of Liverpool should now start asking themselves. Pls it’s time to stop deluding ourselves.

9.) 27 Jan 2018 21:53:22
How is Wembley an advantage?

10.) 27 Jan 2018 22:01:20
Hailstones, couldn’t be as bad as Wiji, worth a shot.

11.) 27 Jan 2018 22:11:06
Get a grip Rafa!
First home loss in 9 months, wow!

12.) 27 Jan 2018 22:11:34
I think Liverpool fans have to be honest with themselves and stop hibernating in dreams. It’s a simple question.

Would another coach had won this match with the same players on the field?

If the answer is yes then we are obviously facing a tactical issue. It’s as simple as that. I seriously think this is precisely the question that the Liverpool leadership will be asking themselves this evening.

I also think that the leadership have acceded to much powers to Klopp. His word is final. Wise old men always maintain that “power corrupts absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The vulture is a patient bird but it strikes when least expected! Time to reflect on Mr Klopp’s tenure and ask difficult and uncomfortable questions. Disappointed fan!

13.) 28 Jan 2018 14:04:33
We are currently 4th in the league and any other season would be right in the title chase so I think it’s time for a bit of perspective. We are not the team from the 80s and 90s who swept all before them. We are currently one of the top 6 teams in the premiership who on there day can beat anybody but on a off day can lose to anybody. Yes our defence was very poor again but these things happen in football. Who would have thought Man City would concede 4 against us. I can’t see us getting a better manager than Klopp who can improve us beyond where we have been performing. We will hopefully sort out are goalkeeping situation in the summer, until then get behind the team and manager.

07 Jan 2018 12:03:07
Would Liverpool be interested in bringing in Gareth Bale? Yes I know he has had injuries but he could play anywhere across the front 3 and with the ox slotting into midfield which he has shown promise alongside wiinaldum and can for now until Keita arrives could be very potent.

The_TimelordV1

{Ed001's Note - no why on earth would we when he has publicly slagged off the team and city?}

1.) 07 Jan 2018 12:19:39
Exactly Ed. Can’t stand the pony tailed tw*t. He can do one.

2.) 07 Jan 2018 12:27:14
We will have to buy an ambulance along with Bale.

3.) 07 Jan 2018 12:38:21
Wouldn't touch the lame horse.

4.) 07 Jan 2018 13:54:32
And he has that American Hustle bald spot cover up going on.

5.) 07 Jan 2018 13:57:04
As we all know football fans are fickle sometimes. If he came and scored the goals which fired us to a title challenge all past discretion’s would be forgiven.

6.) 07 Jan 2018 15:26:38
And why would we want him to come and score the goals to win us the PL when he dissed the club and the city hence, the fans, Timelord?

7.) 07 Jan 2018 20:27:55
I am just pointing out the man is available and we have money to spend. You can’t deny the man has quality when fully fit and people always say things they regret later in life. Forgive and forget is my moto, although as people say it would be highly unlikely. Some people want Suarez back after all the problems he caused for the club.

Arsenal have £92 million deal accepted for lemar. If we want him time to put our money down especially if coutinho is going.
