Non-zero chance.

Mbappe becomes possible if Mane or Salah is sold.

Red67

{Ed002's Note - Mbappe is not moving to Liverpool regardless of who is sold.}

We need to deal with Salah the way Rafa dealt with Owen, whose agent was also trying to shop him to Real Madrid behind everyone's back, when Rafa took over in 2004.

No drama. No handwringing. No pleading. Rafa simply let him leave. And then led us to trophies.

No one is bigger than the club.

You don't want to be here? Move on.

If his dream is to play for another club, we should work with him and his agent to make it happen. As we did with Coutinho. And ensure we get a huge fee.

He is certainly not irreplaceable.

Last season was amazing. But he has had his career year.

There are at least half a dozen players in the EPL alone who could post the stats he posted this season.

And given his eagerness for publicity and media exposure, he is probably not the best fit for our club.

Like Ronaldo and 'Neymar, he becomes a distraction.

And like Coutinho, I suspect his departure will be his loss, not ours.

I would let others worry about the money.

This kid looks like a potential generational talent. In which case, the prices being talked about will look cheap in a couple of years.

Of course, he could turn out to be the next Markovic. But I don't remember Markovic scoring hat tricks in the CL as a teenager.

No reason not to keep tabs on the likes of Chiesa, Werner, Sancho, etc.

Not because we should spend 100m on backups, but because players' agents are talking to other clubs all the time (that's their job), and any sensible club will stay on top of the transfer market in case they need to find a replacement for any player at any time.

And yes, I'm talking specifically about our number 11.

After Torres, Suarez, Coutinho, etc I'm sure none of us are naive about how the football world works.

Red67

{Ed002's Note - What are you talking about ‘keep tabs on’ - how would the club do that?

If we win the title, can we please send a gift box to Pickford and Alderweireld? And at least a card to that Palace keeper whose name I forgot?

Who knew there were so many players who were secretly Reds?

We really are the best supported team.

Red67

{Ed025's Note - well certainly the jammiest red67..

Cows are bred in enormous numbers by humans for consumption, using all manner of technologies, so yes, their gaseous explosions are man-made.

Watch our goal against Man City. And what Fabinho does in the buildup.

Does Kante do that?

That first half is when we must blow them away. Has to be a repeat of the City and Roma first leg matches.

The longer the game is played "cautiously" the more it will play into their hands.

This has to be a blitzkrieg.

Nihil temendum est.

I don't think Gerrard has any interest in youth football. I suspect he took that job to be around in case Klopp struggled, and he could parachute in.

Klopp isn't struggling, so Gerrard is moving on. Good for him, and good for the club.

I also thought it was a little odd that, as a current Liverpool coach, he was also a TV pundit commenting on LFC games, saying things like "that's a bad result for Klopp" (I think that was after the FA cup loss) . I don't remember seeing an arrangement of that nature before.
