Gabriel Barbosa has been put up for sale for 18m by Inter he's on loan at Santos scoring 22 goals in 38 games. I for one would take a risk on him. He was more highly regarded in Brazil than Jesus at City so give him a go in place of Origi in our squad. Hoping that he will dislodge Sturridge and put some real pressure on the front 3. Any thoughts on it?

Are there additional reasons the lad has been put up for sale? Have we shown an interest at all?

{Ed002's Note - He has not cut it in Europe and Liverpool has no interest in him at all.}

2.) 01 Dec 2018 11:28:21
Hmmmm, if he's that good then that kind of money almost sounds like a bargain. My guess is he's probably not that good.

It's a 50/ 50 proposition for me. There's no doubt he is skilled and talented. But does he have the mental strength to adapt and flourish with LFC and the EPL? The fact that he didn't make it with Inter is not really an issue since we didn't do too badly with the last player we bought from them (Coutinho) . It's more of an issue of where he is mentally and how strongly he is motivated and wants to succeed.

{Ed002's Note - He won't be joining Liverpool.}

Pointless signing him. The Liverpool way is to not put new signings in straight away. If he comes in jan we won’t see him until the 2022 season 😜.

Gabigol? Is he still playing? The guy has been poor since he went to Inter and frankly, he has fallen off the map and I forgot he was still playing until the OP mentioned him. He is poor, lazy has attitude issues and has not cut the mustard in Europe so what would he be doing here, exactly? I'll pass, thank you.

Cheers ed2.

Coutinho didn’t do very well at Inter either. No correlation. Just saying.

Hi all with all this talk about a new keeper finally coming to hopefully resolve one of the last major problems we have. Who would you prefer between the sticks? All the talk is of Alisson and I'd be more than happy if was to happen. But I think personally Donnarumma would get my vote if it were out of the 2. He's younger played in seire A for a lot longer. I know about his well publicised attitude. But he's still young and learning his way not just in football but in life himself. The potential the lad has is just unbelievable. Taking over Buffon at such a young age speaks volumes for me. To be trusted my your national team. So who would you all like in a fantasy football kind of way?

1.) 18 Jul 2018 08:12:39
Easy, Oblak.

2.) 18 Jul 2018 08:20:39
For some reason I lean toward big burly European type keepers. Big brutes who will dominate the box. That kinda thing.

3.) 18 Jul 2018 09:29:01
Unfortunately the Hulk is a right ringer faithinworks and not a goalkeeper lol
Wait, does Hulk even still play? Haven't heard of him in years xD.

4.) 18 Jul 2018 09:37:49
he is also brazilian! ha, i think he might've ended up in china?

5.) 18 Jul 2018 09:51:52

Glad you knew who I meant xD
Just checked and you are right he is playing for Shanghai, thought he retired after leaving zenit lol.

6.) 18 Jul 2018 10:12:37
I think Hulk went on some insane wages to China.

7.) 18 Jul 2018 10:18:57
He was also the best paid player in the world when he moved!

What a joke that decision was. How ANYONE could have given the fight to Wilder is beyond me. I know he got the 2 knock downs in the 9th and 12th respectively but other then them 2 knock downs he did NOTHING. Fury came back firing in both the 9th and 12th after hitting the canvas. The rematch HAD to happen now. What I will say thou is it was nice to see both men to show mutual respect to each other after the fight. But come on a split decision draw never. And this is why I now don't watch much boxing. It is corrupt to the core. The money men was never going to give Fury the fight as the rematch was worth far to much. And if he had won then the AJ fight would have broke ppv records.

By 1-0 or by 2 clear goals if they score. So 3-1 4-2 and so on.

I personally think Solanke needs a couple of loan moves. He has the talent that's for sure. I think he should have gone up north to Rangers and built up his confidence playing in front of big crowds and scoring a few goals in the senior ranks. After which a loan to a mid table Premiership team to see if he can cut it. To leave him in the under 23's is a waste I personally feel. Just like we wasted Ward. We should have left him at Huddersfield for a year's experience in the Premiership and then judged him. From the players we have out on loan only Wilson looks like he stands any chance of making it. Grujic was meant to be playing well before his injury but I think both will struggle for any real game time.
