Real Madrid have shifted their interest from Cavani to Suarez because they feel the Napoli man is too expensive and doesn't represent as much value for money as his compatriot {Ed002's Note -Real Madrid has another player in mind right now - there is some distance to go with their shopping.}

Random Red

1.) Another striker? {Ed002's Note - Yes. I have explained repeatedly that RM are not the only club interested in Suarez and Suarez is not the only player that interests them.}

2.) Bearing in mind what your reply was ed, can you elaborate on what you believe their strategy represents so far, in regards to suraez {Ed002's Note - They won't have a specific "strategy" in respect of Suarez. He is a player that has been offered to them, amongst other sides, and they may well be making a bid. an offer was expected last week and never materialised. They are also looking to other players. This is the same approach taken by most clubs - like Liverpool has done with the centre backs. If they make an offer I expect in the first instance it will be low with a youngster they no longer required offered up as well. There is nothing "special" about Suarez - at least not in respect of transfers.}

3.) Cheers Ed, any chance in letting us know who the other striker is they were interested in Aguero were they not some time back? As for Suarez still wouldn't mind him staying as he is a quality footballer, either way the club will move onwards. {Ed002's Note - Jovetic.}

4.) Ed are Liverpool themseleves offering suarez to clubs or his agent trying tohget him a move?

bigW {Ed002's Note - His agent and representatives.}

5.) 28 Jun 2013 23:59:30
So Ed002, Real have dropped their interest in Luis? Cheers, Scouserseb {Ed002's Note - No.}

6.) Ed's, why is it that LFC simply get rid of Suarez by offering him to Real Madrid for one of the strikers + miss. I mean surely a Suarez for Higuain + Di Maria and 10M looks tasty and realistic. Di Maria has been linked to Spurs and yet they are ONLY in Europa league. I'm sure we could negotiate his deal, as same as with Higuain. All in all, I bust think LFC must act fast. Also, just a thought, IF El Sharaawy wants out, we could bid for him using the Suarez money, could we not. Whether he considers CL into account is another thing, but you never know till you try, we got Suarez without CL didn't we and he was probably in the Top 50 Soccer Players at that time due to his phenominal scoring record at Ajax. {Ed002's Note - Liverpool has not offered Suarez to Real Madrid at all. You appear to have drifted off in to some strange fantasy land.}

is the CIES Football Observatory legit?
Because according to them we have 2 of the 5 most expensive Fullbacks in world football.

How do they even cook these numbers up?

1.) 14 Jan 2019 14:36:07
Age, contract length, ability, and form I believe. I could be wrong thou. The market value for anything is only what the buyer is willing to pay thou. My advice is don't take it to seriously thou.

2.) 14 Jan 2019 15:52:36
And @Pool77 you say that from personal experience.

10 Dec 2018 10:36:14
We should've had the foresight to include a buy-back clause when we sold Suso.

Random Red

1.) 10 Dec 2018 10:51:42
Why we messed him right about? he wouldn't get anywhere near our front 3.

2.) 10 Dec 2018 11:50:03
Could have, would have, should have. Forget about the past and just look forward and move onwards. Suso certainly has! 🙄.

{Ed001's Note - actually Suso has often publicly stated that he would like to come back to Liverpool.}

3.) 10 Dec 2018 12:42:03
Random red we could not include any terms in Suso contract as it was a free transfer.
we should have handled him better but his chances were very limited.
I hate losing a player on free transfer, just like we lost Emre can and might lose Moreno the same way.

4.) 10 Dec 2018 12:39:54
Would you take him back Ed001? Playing which position?

{Ed001's Note - I don't think we have a place for him in the first team to be honest.}

5.) 10 Dec 2018 13:00:44
I agree with you Ed001. I have seen him play only 2-3 times since he left LFC. At the most he is probably equal to what we have; certainly not substantially better.

{Ed001's Note - I do like him though.}

6.) 10 Dec 2018 13:02:43
Could he play at ten though?

{Ed001's Note - it depends on what time his ma says he has to be in for tea...}

7.) 10 Dec 2018 13:15:50
I'd have him back tomorrow because he's a great player, I was gutted when we let him go but that's the problem as previously stated, where would he fit in? We should've kept hold of him and gave him his chance.

8.) 10 Dec 2018 13:39:47
I like Suso. I just think we have a few we would need to move on before he got in the match day squad.

9.) 10 Dec 2018 14:04:53
I’m sure Shaqiri holds the place in the squad now that he would like to occupy.

10.) 11 Dec 2018 08:11:54
If Shaqiri was to move on in the next couple of years or whenever could he not fill that role Ed001? How longs his contract can we get him back on a free? That would be great haha.

{Ed001's Note - yes he could, but I am not sure he should come back.}

19 Aug 2018 06:38:33
All i got from watching the London Derby is that we're going to have both those teams on toast.

Random Red

1.) 19 Aug 2018 08:33:49
Agreed, can’t wait.

2.) 19 Aug 2018 08:54:45
I just wish we were playing those teams soon. ’They’ll improve as they get used to their new styles and they have excellent managers but right now (particularly Arsenal) they’d play right into our hands and our front 3 would have a field day that way they’re trying to play out from the back.

3.) 19 Aug 2018 12:49:10
Why is Sarri playing Kante on the right side of midfield though?
The best DM on the planet and he’s played out of position. Mad.

29 Jul 2018 09:16:37
Could this really be it, guys?
Could this really be our year?

Random Red

{Ed025's Note - i have listened to that since the premier league began RR, but i do believe it could come to pass this season mate..

1.) 29 Jul 2018 09:41:05
No chance not ever happening this season.

2.) 29 Jul 2018 09:36:55
Ed, still think Sturridge is finished?

{Ed025's Note - he was decent actually RTID, no doubt he will be out for 6 weeks now with split ends or something though mate..

3.) 29 Jul 2018 09:41:23
Hi Ed,

What is it about us this season that makes you think we could win it this time around?

Thanks.

{Ed025's Note - because you have the best team and best manager lowel simple as that mate...much as it kills me to admit it..

4.) 29 Jul 2018 10:00:38
I can definitely see us winning the league. like I don't think it would be a fluke. But equally I think the minimum expectation should be that we are top and at best are challenging for the league. I'd like to think we're heading towards a really successful period rather than a year of greatness. Hopefully we keep trending in this direction!

5.) 29 Jul 2018 10:23:58
I think if we don’t win this season, if nothing drastic happens with players leaving, I would be very surprised if we don’t win it the year after. The only thing I think we are missing is title challenge experience. I know Leicester didn’t need it but that season the competition wasn’t as strong imo, not to mention that it was a total fluke.

6.) 29 Jul 2018 10:34:05
It's not a question imo, we're winning that league! No other club in the league has a team like ours, we're going to smash it. Think if you're a fan of another club who would you be most afraid of facing? the obvious are us and City but we're Liverpool fans, who are we most afraid of facing? I can't think of one team in the league who we should fear, we've proved we can dismantle City 3 out of 4 times and that was without the top quality players we've added in this window. God help any team facing us because we're going to show the world what we're capable of this season.

7.) 29 Jul 2018 11:50:12
That means a lot coming from you. Ed025.
I think we just might Nick it actually.

{Ed025's Note - you will never have a better chance mate..

8.) 29 Jul 2018 11:59:14
Thanks, Ed25. Coming from you, I know you truly believe we have the best manager and the best team in the PL right now.

Salah, I agree with you that we are the team NOBODY wants to face cos we are WAY too much for them, even City are terrified of us and Utd just don't bother challenging us in terms of play so they park the bus, hoping for us to make a mistake.

Could this be our year? I truly hope it is cos since last season regardless of the bad stuff, I have always maintained that this team under this manager, are on the cusp of something special and I believe it more today than I did then. Again, could this be our year? I TRULY HOPE SO!

{Ed025's Note - you do need a trophy though brover either this season or next mate..

9.) 29 Jul 2018 12:08:10
Oh, no question about that, Ed25. We are WAY too good to not have won a trophy esp. by now. The hope is that it happens sooner rather than later.

10.) 29 Jul 2018 13:41:41
ah ed 025. calling liverpool the best team with the best manager? must have killed you inside.

but hey, you have a chance to watch football and not footbore this season.

perhaps we'll have 2 tasty derby matches. honestly can't recall the last time where there is intensity, aggression, passion and fight in these matches.

{Ed025's Note - hopefully we will be up and running and give you a game sg..

14 Jul 2018 10:25:58
Better Shaqiri than Grealish.

Random Red

1.) 14 Jul 2018 10:51:14

Malcolm on loan would be neat.

He is very casual in his defending. I am not surprised with him being viewed as 'cover' right now.

Fabinho and Milner can adequately cover that side too. Clyne has barely even played.

He did stay on his feet when he got clipped against Bournemouth, i believe it was. He then went passed 2 defenders scored regardless.

Laxalt would be our answer to Pogba. Every top team needs someone with wild hair.
