Can I hope for Isco eds? for us next summer.

Livebird31

{Ed002's Note - If you are a Manchester City fan.}

1.) 06 Apr 2018 09:24:33
Another terrible move for the player imo. Wasted 5 seasons being a rotational player at Real and not improved one bit since winning the Golden Boy award. Best of luck to him trying to displace KDB or Silva from the starting lineup. Man City hoarding up all the talent that they can get their hands on.

2.) 06 Apr 2018 09:41:57
reports are that City have dropped interest in him.

3.) 06 Apr 2018 09:49:51
Silva is in twilight of his career. Isco will be his replacement. In two years time Silva will be phased out with isco being a focal point along with kdb.

4.) 06 Apr 2018 09:54:56
Isco is a very good player imo and featured inside the top 10 ACM of Ed01’s list. He is skillful and has a superb vision to pick players. He would excel under any manager. Better than Bale on any day!

5.) 06 Apr 2018 10:24:59
Isco doesn’t have another 2 years to wait he needs to be playing now.

6.) 06 Apr 2018 10:50:41
Isn't Silvas partner still out in Spain and I think his newly born baby had some kind of complications. I wouldn't be surprised to see Silva go back to Spain this summer to be with his family.

{Ed001's Note - it was a premature baby wasn't it? He has always said he wants to go back to Spain to end his career.}

7.) 06 Apr 2018 11:13:02
Ed01 I think so mate. I didn't want to guess as it's obviously a personal matter. I think City might let him go back on his terms as a thank you for his service as long as it's not to a Real or Barca. His head hasn't looked with it since the birth and who could blame him. But that's just my 2 pence worth.

8.) 06 Apr 2018 11:20:09
My little boy Toby was born 10 weeks early, he can out at 3lb 2 and went down to 2b 11. He was in an incubator for 4 weeks, then in care for a further three weeks.

I was working away in London at the time and was only back at weekends to see him. It’s was the most stressful period of my life so if Silva’s wife is back in Spain, I understand how he feels.

Toby had a bleed on his brain, was deaf in one ear
and one of his eyes were not functioning correctly. Thankfully all the problems corrected themselves while he was in hospital and he’s now a feisty little 4 year old and has fully caught up.

If I had the opportunity to speak to David Silva I’d tell him keep strong and have faith. The work the Neonatal Nursers do and their absolute commitment and professionalism to their job is fantastic.

If it wasn’t for the nurses, I wouldn’t be enjoying my gorgeous son today and taking him to Little Kickers in his LFC football kit ion a Saturday morning.

9.) 06 Apr 2018 12:16:42
Toby sounds like a great fighter Drogie. Perfect LFC material. Train him well my man :)

10.) 06 Apr 2018 12:19:16
Drogie - good to hear everything is now ok mate. God bless.

11.) 06 Apr 2018 16:16:46
Drogie great to hear the little man is doing well.

12.) 06 Apr 2018 17:20:25
Thank you chaps 👍.

13.) 06 Apr 2018 17:21:15
You are well and truly a gem Drogie, My second fav poster after negative ☺️☺️☺️.

14.) 06 Apr 2018 18:55:12
Thank you mate, that’s what I love about this site 👍.

15.) 07 Apr 2018 08:52:16
God bless little Toby the Red and little Silva 👍.

1.) 06 Jun 2017 10:27:40

2.) 06 Jun 2017 11:07:28

20 May 2018 14:58:59
I know it doesn't mean anything but. suso told he wants to play for us again someday.

Livebird31

1.) 20 May 2018 15:04:12
Is he good enough?

2.) 20 May 2018 15:27:41
We don’t need him! He lacks pace to play upfront. We are buying two better players to play in the midfield.

3.) 20 May 2018 16:01:57
He is a fantastic player. Of all the bad moves by the brodge, letting him go was the worst. We need more players who can play the killer pass. After Hendo and aoc we don't really have one.

4.) 20 May 2018 16:12:23
Firmino plays more 'killer passes' than anyone, his weight and accuracy of through balls is sublime.

5.) 20 May 2018 16:17:01
I'd have Suso back, quality player.

6.) 20 May 2018 16:33:19
Firmino and Salah have 14 assists each this season. Milner has 11, Mane 9, Ox 7 and Can and Wijnaldum 4 a piece. Hendo has 1. So I can't really see how he is one of the only players in the team who can play a killer pass.

7.) 20 May 2018 17:00:04
An assist and a killer pass are not the same. The term assist doesn't describe whether the receiver had to tap a Ball into the net or he has had to run past three players, to get a shot on target.

8.) 20 May 2018 17:26:48
Red fuzz I see your point mate. But my point still stands. All the players I named I see playing killer passes as well as assists. Henderson has his strengths but creating chances, playing killer balls and assists aren't them.

9.) 20 May 2018 17:28:26
Fekir will blow people’s head out with his exceptional vision to pick players. And what about Kieta? Suso won’t get into our midfield.

10.) 20 May 2018 18:43:09
Giacomo Bonaventura is the one I would take from Milan. I like the way he plays - and he has a nice name.

11.) 20 May 2018 18:45:38
I like Suso and didn’t want him to leave but I’m not sure where he fits in, like someone said he’s not quick enough to play outside for me, not in a 4-3-3 anyway. Could he play as the furthest forward of a middle 3?
I’m going to say something now that sounds crazy but a release clause of £35m sounds reasonable in today’s market and he would be a good squad addition and would be a good replacement if Lallana leave.

12.) 20 May 2018 20:21:31
I'd rather have iniesta.

13.) 20 May 2018 21:16:53
LiverpoolFC8, we can dream, id still have him at Liverpool, he's quite possibly my favourite player in the past 20 years give or take a few.

14.) 20 May 2018 21:25:16
Blow peoples head out?

Harry you’re one of a kind mate 😂👌🏼.

15.) 20 May 2018 21:34:00
Suso's time is past and we need to stop going back and trying to fix the errors of the past in this particular instance. Suso is in the past and needs to stay there. We are after Fekir and the likes and that is where our focus shoukd be instead of re-hashing old stuff for no reason.

16.) 20 May 2018 21:35:47
J23, that’s blasphemy and you should be banned or at the very least have your mouth washed out with soap, 😉.

17.) 20 May 2018 22:33:13
I'd only want him in a free transfer deal only for me.
Lacks pace, so he'd struggle to play unless he can replace Lallana in a midfield backup role in a season or two.

13 May 2018 13:22:23
Ed02 opinion on Allison pls. after watching our game against them. I don't feel he is as great as he is made out. please can u help me here.?

Livebird31

{Ed002's Note - Alison is a well liked player who several high-profile clubs have shown an interest in. Roma are not looking to sell him, but are aware that there will be a significant offer for him and so are reluctantly looking elsewhere.}

1.) 13 May 2018 13:38:39
Maybe we should try and find out who they are looking to replace him with.

07 May 2018 03:16:23
Please don't blame anyone too much for that goal. as you can see it took a big deflection off manes head. van Dijk went to right side to deal with it but coz of deflection the went slightly to the left.

Livebird31

1.) 07 May 2018 05:25:49
That was not great defending - if you look at it we had two players there to prevent the cross but both failed. Then in the middle VVD lost track of what was going on behind him, and there were 4 Chelsea players on 2 defenders in the center of the box.

Despite that, mistakes happen and we actually were the far better side for the first 30mins and we had quite a few chances early on but for Courtois making 2-3 good saves. Once the goal went in though, Chelsea at home were always difficult to break down and it was noticable we were lacking something and urgency dropped.

IMO that something was Hendo missing from our midfield, Ox’s direct running when in space to panic the defense (unfortunately we can’t do anything about that now), TAA missing on the right (as much as Trent had a bad day, Clyne was worse and we created nothing from the fullbacks until Hendo came on) and our front three looked exhausted apart from maybe Mane.

Losing 1-0 to Chelsea away is hardly a disaster though, let’s hope a week of rest and the urgency of the next win blows the cobwebs off our front three and gets the juices flowing again ahead of the final. We need our mojo back fast.

Next season we’ll also have Keita and hopefully another attacker to deepen the squad. This is only one small step in the journey and we’re a million miles from where we were when Rogers left.

Have faith lads.

2.) 07 May 2018 05:44:20
Cracking post SG, fully agree. I for one would have snapped your hand off to be in the position we are in now, yes second was attainable but I feel our champions league run has cost us a fair few points and I don’t think you could handpick an easier final game of the season and to be in the champions league final is a great achievement. Win next week and the last 4 games are forgotten about and we have 2 weeks to get set for the final.

3.) 07 May 2018 08:16:05
Chelsea are a good side who have some very good players. They were at home and it’s completely understandable to concede a goal. The real issue is not conceding a goal ( which we have done all season ) .
We couldn’t pose a decent shot on goal against Chelsea.

Chelsea were always going to sit back and hit us on the counter. We should have scored the first goal to make them come to us so that we exploit the space they leave when they attack us! The moment they scored the goal I turned off my TV.

Pragmatic football may be rubbish to watch, With only 33% of possession they managed to secure 3 points!

We should have never dropped points against west brom and stoke city why we are now having a debate over this dead game!

Firmino is the one who drops into the middle to create something for the front two! If he has a poor game then we don’t create anything.

4.) 07 May 2018 14:21:23
Harry, I agree with parts of your post. However, could/ should/ would is all that is. Utd should not be losing to Brighton BUT they did. City should not be drawing Hud BUT they did. We should have never smashed City home and away or Porto away, the "experts" told us BUT we did. These things happen cos well, it's football. Regardless of what Chelsea did or did not do. We lost and that is that so no point playing hindsight geniuses here. We are in control here, not Chelse or Spurs and that is NO miracle. Why? Cos we made hay while the sun was shining and tho we dropped points, we are still in control.

What we have to do now is get ourselves fully rested and ready (manager, players and fans) to give our all vs Brighton and bring this thing home. Forget Real Madrid. We will deal with them later. This is all about Brighton now and NOTHING else should matter, not the past nor the future. Just the Present. COYR!

Ed02 actually I had an argument with my friend so im asking you as you know waaaaay better than both of us😅between Bailey and VVD who is the better defender? and why?

Livebird31

{Ed002's Note - I am not really one to compare players. Liverpool supporters will tell you van Dijk is the better for no rational reason and Manchester United fans will no doubt think Bailey the better player for no rational reason. VvD is more experienced and having playing in England for a while will generally be more comfortable - but that doesn't make him a better player. Both are recognised as good players but neither are seen as exceptional at this time. However, to answer your argument with you buddy, you can tell him that on the world-reknowned Ed002 MBCB scale, van Dijk scores "36DD" and Bailey "Silver Premier", so your man is ahead by a fangle at the moment - but it could all change next season. I hope that clears it up.}

1.) 14 Apr 2018 10:45:09
Thanks Ed couldn’t be any more clearer if you tried 🤔haha.

2.) 14 Apr 2018 13:31:58
Well with us having a CL medal I doubt it will be the case😜.

Dead leg will depend on the player. of the player doesn't feel 100% it's always better not to play them.

I agree ed I'm soooooo proud of my lads. these people just expect everyone to spend 200s of Millons on one part of a side alone. we are Liverpool not city to do that. if you want quick success just change colours.
