They are off form but class is permanent. Losing key defenders has changed the dynamic of our team, unfortunate but understandable. I think we need to forego the focus on trying to make do with a patched up defence and go back to the hugh press, high energy from 2017-18.

I never truly appreciated how important Van Dijk is until this recent run of performances. And now we are going to heavily rely on a centre back coming back from a serious injury, who will need time and patience. If Liverpool don't sign a top centre back in the summer then that shows you our ambition.

I always suspected THiago would struggle. The prem is a lot more compact and lower teams often sit back and minimise space in behind. Thiago can't play those passes like he did in GErmany. He will need time to adjust,

I just think play defenders in defence and get our best midfielders in there and I would hope the team structure with full backs getting into a rythem and forwards making them runs again as hopefully the ball will be moving quicker

The only positive, for me, is we are still good enough to boss teams. We just need to get that creative spark back. That is why we need to bring back the heavy metal football. We have enough forward players to rotate them and ensure intensity is high for 90 mins.
