Spoke to my former Dutch Neighbour again yesterday, He's good mates with GVB and told me he had signed his contract to join LFC long before it was announced. He said that Salah is considered a pain in the arse and the staff were hoping he would be gone in January (not just down to the recent outburst but stuff behind the scenes too) .

Also they were very surprised at just how unfit Isak was and he's really struggling to get fit (before yesterday's injury) .
Apart from that they're struggling to lift the confidence levels of the boys who seem to be stuck in a rut.

Your former Dutch neighbour? Or your Dutch former neighbour? Did he move house or did he change his nationality? I NEED TO KNOW!

Thanks for passing this on, in all seriousness.

22 Dec 2025 09:48:39
Great God! Great goss!

22 Dec 2025 09:54:50
The entire squad that had a full preseason are unfit. Maybe GvB should be talking to the coaches about it rather than your former neighbour.

There is a simple fix for the confidence thing. Get them fit enough to play for 90+ mins and they will stop gifting sloppy goals through fatigue in the last quarter of the game when we are 2-0 up and in complete control.

Please can you can ask your former neighbour to find out what Macca has on Slot that means he gets so many minutes when I can't remember a single decent performance from him all season?

22 Dec 2025 10:05:52
Such a great post, like the old skool rumours of yester year.

22 Dec 2025 10:38:28
Imagine slot and his team doing nothing about it is even more alarming.

22 Dec 2025 13:48:21
So many questions come to mind with that post.

Which stalwarts Mo gone?
I presume its purely the coaching staff.
They must hate the fact that Mo basically led them to the title last year.

What did they do for Isak, in order to get him as fit as they expected him to be.?
It is December by the way. and he still looks unfit.
Also, he doesn't look much more unfit than the other players either, barring Szobo.

Imagine being Champions of England and being in a rut.
Im sure the lads weren't in a rut when the season started. so what changed.

22 Dec 2025 18:17:55
Not an excuse for the lack of fitness, just an explanation:

You will have seen England’s total capitulation in the Ashes. Everyone said - as they have done in every series we have lost in OZ - that we needed proper preparation, and game practice.

Neither of which were done, which meant a team which had (overblown in my view) potential arrived undercooked, and untested. Coaches were reluctant to brutalise the players in training beforehand.

This is clearly what happened to our pre-season. There is no way Slot could push players to the brink after Jota’s death, and that has left the team mentally open to excuses and undercooked.

And I don’t think Mo’s sulk helped the new players at all. I think all of them have now shown their worth, or potential - I say potential because Isak’s 2 most recent goals show exactly what he brings to the team, but I imagine he is not out until August.

23 Dec 2025 15:14:23
You guys do what you like with the info. My only other recent post was to confirm that GVB had signed his LFC contract two weeks before it was announced.

He is still Dutch and was my neighbour for years when I lived in Spain. Sorry for any confusion.

22 Dec 2025 08:55:31
Haven’t been on the site for a few days and genuinely surprised / shocked to see posters saying things like :

“I’m not watching the games anymore”

“Is it sad that I check to see if Real Madrid lose so there is hope of Alonso getting sacked then coming to us”

And other similar head scratchers.

Noticed some new usernames, or at least haven’t recognised so much. “SlotsDross” or something, lol

With Liverpool it’s always, “yeah, but…. ” And, I find it bizarre. Especially after managing to stop the rot.

Amorim came out today and said the best team lost. Well, if the offerings are apparently scraping a victory against 9 men or being the best team but losing, then I’m taking the former. All day, every day.

We’re not where we want to be, clearly. But is it ok to have ups and downs on the way to gettting there? F*** me the roller coaster madness under Klopp before the team hit its straps tho lol

We’ve a way to go and my general feeling is to enjoy the ride and the progression the team makes.

I find it a little odd when people want Alonso he seems a good level coach but is he better the Slot?, I'm not sure tbh I generally have a game on in the background no matter the team so I've watched Madrid a few times this year they've been pretty crap in most of there play just keep getting bailed out by Mbappe, its the same as us its very rigid slow football at the moment.

22 Dec 2025 10:05:40
I noticed the same Faith. At least one of them will be Harrys new moniker so he will overstep and get banned again at some point. It's also worth noting that these new usernames coincided with an upturn in our results combined with a the realisation that United's few decent results that they put together were not actually a turning point so I think there are a definitely a few trolls on here who can't face talking about their own club at the moment.

22 Dec 2025 18:06:31
Team isn’t exactly fluid or full of confidence, but they are digging in, and have stopped losing. I kind of prefer it when we have to battle for results, and I find a win beautiful no matter the performance - as long as we don’t become totally attritional, and reliant upon the dark arts. Which we are not.

I do think that the magnitude of last season’s achievement hasn’t entirely sunk in yet for a lot of fans as it became a procession (on the back of many dogged performances), and that is why some fans aren’t really putting it in the bank when it comes to crediting Slot.

21 Dec 2025 20:08:40
I stopped coming on here for a while recently, due to all the negative comments. I’ve just scrolled down to find someone saying Isaks bad injury is a blessing in disguise and the rest of it is mainly derogatory towards a manager who won the league for us season. It’s shameful and I honestly thought our fans were better than that. YNWA and all that!

Agree19

21 Dec 2025 21:32:48
Agree mate, seems like there's more and more trolls on here.

21 Dec 2025 21:36:33
Fair enough as isak does not deserve bad mouthing but slot is crap and is dragging us down. Face it he had 6 good months when he took over and crap ever since. get over it.

21 Dec 2025 23:27:31
I haven’t seen the isak post you’re on about but I have seen one saying if the rumour of his break is being a blessing rather than an all due to recovery time.

22 Dec 2025 03:32:10
Anybody spouting that "stick by your manager" nonsense. if we did that we'd still have Brendan Rodgers at the helm. so give it over.

22 Dec 2025 07:43:59
Do i think we need to change the manager? Yes

Should we support him while he is here? Definitely

The board makes the decision at the end of the day, so get behind Slot and the team until the changes are made.

22 Dec 2025 09:18:21
Are they really our fans though? Lots of new user names suddenly when things go wrong…not there when we were winning.

21 Dec 2025 18:46:47
For me the last Liverpool game epitomises slot, the players look like they are not sure what they are supposed to be doing, and then that leads to uncertainty. Which it turn leads to our fragility inn defence. If we didn't have the players we have got, I'm afraid we would be in a relegation battle. The worst of it is to see the immense talent in our squad and watch us being set up not to lose, rather that to win. Spurs are one of the worst teams in the League and that should have been an easy three points.

Three points does not disguise the issue. Slot needs to go and take his tactics with him. How are our attackers supposed to find space when all we do is recycle and compress recycle and compress until there are 22 players squeezed into 20 yards?

I have no idea how anyone cannot see that he had no clue what he is doing. Absolutely anyone with Salah in their team last season would have won the league, like this season, anyone who can put six wins together can surge 10 points clear.

I think we were lucky to win last season and you know what, I think we are still in with a shout of winning it this season. I've never seen the league full of such averageness, but at the same time I've never seen our league with such low level managers. For me it was a low point in a season of low points. Every weekend is ruined. I'd rather us play dynamic attacking football and lose than this dross

Agree7

21 Dec 2025 20:15:57
I'd rather win the league. Full stop. If you would rather play exciting football and lose, you're not a proper supporter.

21 Dec 2025 23:35:14
I don’t think he means lose on purpose Rome mate, I get his point I was gutted when Barcelona beat us 3-0 but even with the feeling of being hard done by I enjoyed that game more than yesterday’s obviously not the result but my heart knew I’d been involved in a game of footy. Think yesterday my heart thought I was asleep.

22 Dec 2025 09:38:41
But we're not going to win the league Rome! Nor are we playing good football. Zero results for both you and I so. Anyway I'm going into Santy mode now so only happy, tinsley, sparkles for the next while! . Happy Christmas Rome matey, I hope you and yours have a great holiday time and you get lots of lovely well deserved pressies! ?????.

22 Dec 2025 10:36:19
We were in complete control for 83 minutes (admittedly not creating much or playing exciting football but this is designed to stop the steak of losses and it is working) but it was only a (yet another) defensive disaster class by Virg and Konate gifting Spurs a goal that changed it. After that you could see the panic set in. This is where for me it is up to Virg as captain to step up. Hold his hands up and settle the team down but he never does. Instead it just leads to more panic and more mistakes.

Ironically, given how slow our build up play is, players try to rush everything or hoof it clear rather than sticking to the game plan. For me it looks to stem from a fundamental lack of trust throughout the team in our CB paring. I'm not Slots biggest fan but I can guarantee you that the players were not doing the things that Slot has asked them to do for those last 10 minutes. That performance (or perhaps collapse is a better term) has to be on the players.

22 Dec 2025 18:48:36
Yeh blame konate not slot! We knew when richarlson came on he’d be up for causing mayhem. The system we play makes the players look crap. We had a two man advantage if you haven’t got a clue how to manage the game man mark him! But take your only striker off for a defender.

21 Dec 2025 09:15:29
We struggled against a bad Tottenham team with 9 men. A corner hasn't been turned.

Agree14

21 Dec 2025 09:45:25
The slot lovers won't like that. They can't see past the end of their noses.

21 Dec 2025 10:20:42
They can say what they want and that's no problem but my eyes aren't telling me lies.

22 Dec 2025 05:08:15
A lot of peoples are though. I can't get over the amount of people who are willing to blindly support a manager who continues to make bad decision after bad decision. Then the give out about what a disgrace it is that some of us don't support him and claim you need to stick by your manager.

If we all adopted that approach, we'd still have Hodgson out there on the touch line.

20 Dec 2025 23:28:12
How bent is that var saliber has just done what van dyke did kicked the Everton players boot well in the penalty area var no penalty yet VVD was on white line pen give by var
Blatant cheating so Arsenal win the prem . Another sorry from webb coming evertons way.

Agree8

21 Dec 2025 07:45:02
Yesterday proved that VAR is ALMOST as fake as a Jake Paul boxing match.

21 Dec 2025 08:13:18
VAR should have intervened on Richarlison you could argue violent conduct and a red card, same with the body check on Kerkez . Spurs were a disgrace and deserved nothing. We were lucky to come out with a couple of injuries.

21 Dec 2025 08:40:17
Disappointed with Frank's lack of humility post match as well, apparently drawing blood on a standing leg miles away from the ball shouldn't be a red (something about it being a contact sport) but Ekitikes slight touch on Romero should have been a foul.

20 Dec 2025 16:10:19
With Gakpo being out again at the weekend it’s great news for our hopes of a victory. But my question is will Arne put him back in the team when he is fit again?

Agree1

20 Dec 2025 16:54:21
Not a fan NBG? He was an integral part of what we did last year, i wouldn't be writing him off just yet. He has hit the back of the net a few times this season as well without being great personally or collectively.

21 Dec 2025 12:09:32
Gakpo is awful and has always been at best a squad player for years.
Never should be starting.

20 Dec 2025 13:07:52
Woltemade on the double whilst Isak won't run. Maybe we've been sold a pup.

Agree3

20 Dec 2025 13:44:26
Swedish player of the year.

If Isak had the service, he'd be scoring every game as well.

20 Dec 2025 13:48:44
A fairer comparison would be Woltemade and Ekitike. Similar transfer fee, appearances and goals.

No denying Isak hasn't been at the races so far, let's hope he kicks on during the second half of the season.

20 Dec 2025 15:56:47
Isak had no pre season so he’s always going to be playing catch up. Plus he’s signed a 6 year contract not a 6 month one.

20 Dec 2025 16:03:32
9 months of the year would be more apt.

20 Dec 2025 19:37:28
Scored today didn’t he ??‍♂️.

20 Dec 2025 20:05:49
It's called foot in mouth disease Kloppers.

21 Dec 2025 01:49:18
Isak is a quality finisher, but he's pretty much just that. Go watch his goals, 85% of them are all about the service, the other 15% are penalties. Not nockin the lad by any means, he's a specialist, but we're not playing a system that suits him, we weren't last year either.

I have been scratching my head over the decision to buy Isak since the rumours first began last summer, systematically he's not a good fit, unless there was a plan to modify the system to suit him, which we're not seeing any evidence of. Hopefully it happens at some stage.

21 Dec 2025 05:56:15
If you look at chance conversion he’s clinical, which is what we needed. A slight tweak tactically would do it, Wirtz was the link. Jigsaw pieces just haven’t been put together yet but I think he’ll score 2 goals in 3 game type levels, about 20 a season given his game time. Ekitike about the same.

18 Dec 2025 17:54:44
Not sure if the site down, but where are all the rumours? Semenyo and guehi being linked to far too many clubs other than ours! don't like it.

Agree6

18 Dec 2025 21:43:17
Most of the links will be media nonsense - it's that time of the year. I wouldn't pay much attention to the noise at the moment, unless someone like Carra posts, he's the only one I 100% trust with rumours.

The media are there to make stuff up and get people talking, they know no more than us and play guess work.

19 Dec 2025 11:33:59
I assume Bournemouth are using the interest of other clubs to ensure they are in a strong negotiating position on the payment terms with Liverpool. Yes there's a release clause but it's all about the payment terms as I suspect Liverpool will not want to pay it all up front.

20 Dec 2025 15:27:40
Doesn’t look like much business will be done, Arne played it down at the press conference. Semenyo seems the most likely.

17 Dec 2025 13:37:32
Half our players voted for Luis Enrique as the best manager ahead of Arne Slot ? No Wonder clear the air talks happened earlier this season! Slot wanted half of them gone i bet ?.

Agree3

17 Dec 2025 14:13:38
Proper order too, bloke won the Champions League playing some cracking football. All this old pal's act voting when it comes to these awards is pathetic.

18 Dec 2025 10:49:02
I would assume you can't vote for your own team players and manager.

18 Dec 2025 12:47:32
Stop the press! Players voting for the best men's coach of the year have voted for the best men's coach of the year.

19 Dec 2025 06:45:57
How dare those half-baked players vote for literally the best coach in the world right now.

So happy us fans are speaking out about this betrayal, its not like us fans were asking to replace Slot with Enrique. OH wait!

19 Dec 2025 08:11:29
Then you would be very wrong kloppers, heard of google mate? ?.

19 Dec 2025 12:41:31
sure do. most other vote based things like the PFA player of the year your not allowed I believe, irrelevant anyway Luis E was the best.

17 Dec 2025 11:04:43
Did they announce what football team Paul Doyle supports yet?

Agree1

17 Dec 2025 14:22:17
Prison FC for the next 21 years anyway. Good riddance.

17 Dec 2025 17:10:58
Well said.

17 Dec 2025 19:07:30
Hopefully that’s 21 years of regular beatings and involuntary shower sex.

18 Dec 2025 14:42:33
According to some reports he may have his sentence reviewed as some think it is too lenient. I would support that.

17 Dec 2025 10:59:09
I just read a post about usage of AI. Imagine replacing the likes of Batman, full of natural charm, wisdom and quality content for the usage of bland AI. The site would never recover.
?.

Agree3

17 Dec 2025 22:46:18
Sounds like something AI would say.
