Hi all,

There was considerable interest in Pedro Neto during Klopp's tenure. That interest has since disappeared as far as I am aware.

05 Jul 2026 14:38:50
Thank you, Victor.

I'd like to recruit someone from Diomande Barcola and get a good central midfilter.

Things aren't so optimistic, are they?

2

05 Jul 2026 15:28:45
To be honest, I'm quite optimistic. There's a lot of good work being done behind the scenes. The board are trying to put Iraola in the best position heading into next season.

I don't expect Diomande to sign. As I stated a few days back, I believe his agency fiddled us. I'm very optimistic about Barcola and Wharton, which would be two great signings.

18

05 Jul 2026 15:59:42
I'm relieved to hear that you're positive.

I think right wing, center midfielder, and right side back are reinforcement positions.

Who is the main target of our team?

1

05 Jul 2026 16:08:56
Personally don't think Wharton improves us in the middle, just another tippy-tappy slow moving soft lad and for the money Parish wants we should walk away.

9

05 Jul 2026 16:15:51
I am losing interest in football. Buy buy. Want more. Football manager. It's for the birds.

5

05 Jul 2026 17:28:39
I don't think Warton is anything special and went backwards this season.

3

05 Jul 2026 17:33:50
Fully concur VV,

Wharton can't get in the England World Cup squad, so not to our standards either, which are far higher than Tuchel's, plus posters have short memories, regards Parish treatment with reference to Guehi in two transfer windows?

William Gomes, 80 million release clause Porto winger (circa 20), latest rumour for replacing Salah, not with the current Brazil World Cup squad in USA, again Rayan is in the squad, a much better choice.

Ancelotti said recently of Rayan, "Nobody knows what level he can reach", he's more a team player, not an individual.

05 Jul 2026 17:50:12
Victor, I have heard we will look to Igor Thiago as an option as Isak is prone to injury and Ekitike is out long term. Have u heard anything about that, thanks.

0

05 Jul 2026 17:50:30
Tuchel left any creativity out of the England squad, so not sure his squad selection is a good judge of a player's quality. Not sure what Wharton you are watching, but he is not tippy tappy. He is a through ball machine, with a wand of a left foot, and a right foot that isn't bad either.

4

05 Jul 2026 18:42:53
We are not looking at Igor Thiago, no. The club are not interested in signing a striker as of present.

0

05 Jul 2026 13:08:23
I note online a huge influx of PSG media stating Diomande will join on a reduced fee. Seems this is doing the rounds now!

1

05 Jul 2026 13:35:27
So say the Twitter t***s needing clicks for their own personal gain.

3

05 Jul 2026 14:13:13
I wouldn't be surprised if he did too, to be honest.

7

05 Jul 2026 15:17:10
It wouldn't be the first time if it happened. Players don't always go to the highest bidder. Some take lesser total bids to go to a team they absolutely want to join.

2

05 Jul 2026 15:39:22
If PSG are willing to loan back for a year, which they can afford to do both in terms of money and football, then the deal makes perfect sense for both parties. At the same time, Diomande may prioritise and push for a move this summer with the view that an opportunity to replace Salah with no competition is a more attractive option than battling it out for a starting place with the most recent Ballon d'Or winner.

We'll find out soon enough.

5

05 Jul 2026 10:15:13
Any truth in the paper talk regarding Pedro Neto?

1

05 Jul 2026 11:01:43
Papertalk, by which you mean... Indykaila.

Who knows... Not heard anyone mention him other than Indy.

I quite like him, actually, but no idea if we'd go for him. 🤷‍♂️

5

05 Jul 2026 11:22:39
I like him a lot, but I think it is nonsense. I can't see why Chelsea would sell him, and I think we're more interested in other players. I think we'll sign at least one of El Mala, Minteh or Fernandez-Pardo.

Then I think we might get one of Diomande or Barcola, though I'm less confident of that.

I simply do not believe the other links to the likes of Neto, Bowen, Summerville etc.

5

05 Jul 2026 11:52:11
Certainly a dangerous player and a decent provider, but doesn't score enough for me.

4

05 Jul 2026 12:08:00
Neto is already 26 and yet he has only scored a career total of 34 goals. 34 in 247 games! Not to mention he is not even exciting to watch. Hard pass.

5

05 Jul 2026 12:18:57
Agree, MK. I'd love both Diomande and Minteh if Gakpo leaves.

2

05 Jul 2026 12:23:40
Hard pass. End product isn't impressive and that's being generous. Plus, you have to look at his injury history.

7

05 Jul 2026 12:30:52
While I agree with you, vv, I'm glad the club doesn't need your approval or we'd be playing 5 a side every week. 😂

6

05 Jul 2026 13:18:43
Yeah, but Pedro Neto is pretty much best described as "toilet". I'd far rather take a punt on Minteh at this point, at least I know he's a grafter, notwithstanding my own misgivings about him being Diet Adama Traore.

3

05 Jul 2026 14:19:59
Neto is very similar to his supermarket name Netto:

You only go there when you have meagre funds, because everything on show is Gladys Knight!

As for his goal scoring stats: LFC needs someone who is regularly going to put the ball in the back of the Netto (another Mo).

A poster yesterday claiming it's more important to sign experienced central defenders - if you haven't got them in the back of the Netto, you have got nothing to defend.

It was Shanks who coined the phrase: "Attack is the best form of Defence!", countered by: "Goals win you games, defences win you titles?" - Alex Ferguson. No argument as to whose right, from me being schooled by Bill Shankly, besides, Ferguson copied everything LFC did to a tee.

1

05 Jul 2026 14:22:13
Diet Adama Traore that's funny, Vv. 😂

2

05 Jul 2026 15:26:00
Gladys Knight is a proper legend!

1

05 Jul 2026 15:45:30
TravellingKop13, Sometimes numbers are misleading: 20 G/A in all competitions last season, 18 the year previous and 17 before that, it's a consistent output if nothing else. He's not prolific, but neither was Mo until he signed for us. Purely talking numbers here, I'm not saying he's the answer.

1

05 Jul 2026 17:14:45
Can't stand Neto.A cheat.20 goals in 7Premier League seasons isn't great either.

2

04 Jul 2026 23:21:17
Liverpool have walked away from the deal for Yan Diomande, as mentioned a week ago. Liverpool have been played by Rocnation and will not go back to strike a deal.

Liverpool are in the race for Barcola and will, after the World Cup, discuss a deal for him.

CM’s as mentioned, they do like Lamine Camara. No Wharton as Parish messed around with the Guehi deal last season & are looking for a fee round Anderson.

41

05 Jul 2026 05:46:43
Well this is going to be very interesting.

8

05 Jul 2026 05:59:26
As much as I'd like to believe what Carra, RobboLFC has said, hopium aside, it seems like this is probably the closest to what I am seeing from media and journalists.

13

05 Jul 2026 07:16:45
I wonder if Neil Diamond is available instead.
He does sing ..... Play Me.

6

05 Jul 2026 08:13:54
Sorry @grizz, and with the greatest of respect, what you are saying is not correct.

Nothing, as far as I'm aware, has changed from my previous narrative, with a basic summary below:

1. PSG are not that interested - (interestingly, what they are willing to offer is lower than Liverpool's £86m opening bid).

2. Liverpool are and still in negotiations.

3. Deal will be agreed.

On a secondary note, we will not get Barcola. Not a chance.

21

05 Jul 2026 08:18:43
Furthermore, @grizz. Every club gets 'played l' by agents, all of the time. This wasn't just a slight on Liverpool, and to get them to back away from a deal, Ornstein's post was also laying the groundwork for PSG to low ball RB, which, as stated in my previous post, they have tried.

Both attempts failed.

Sticking to my guns. Diomande will be a Liverpool player.

15

05 Jul 2026 08:36:42
Fair mate, only posting what I've been told.

We all want the best for Liverpool, so let's see how it all pans out.

19

05 Jul 2026 08:38:31
This is nonsense. Liverpool have never walked away from attempting to sign Diomande.

6

05 Jul 2026 08:44:53
I know @grizz, and I wasn't criticising your comments. I was just saying I have a different narrative.

This is a place for us Reds to give opinion on potential transfers - nobody is in the wrong to give an opinion, it's all good. All friends, bro!

The dust will settle soon enough.

18

05 Jul 2026 08:46:26
I hope Griz is right. The time taken to conclude a deal for a nineteen-year-old is ridiculous, and all this it's his reps not him stuff is nonsense. There's red flags all over his deal.

Surely there's a very good right-sided player who'd want to step up and play for us that would see us as their destination of choice.

With £100m to spend, we almost have the pick of the world's best established talent. Short of Olise and Saka, who aren't attainable, who's out there?

9

05 Jul 2026 08:52:39
@overkill

PSG want Olise, another reason they are not that interested in Diomande.

Despite what Byern's CEO says, he will be gone, if not this season, the next.

PSG will be right in the mix.

We, will not.

05 Jul 2026 08:53:36
Blimey.how many itk's now??

Eds, maybe you could highlight the posters name in an alternative colour if you deem them as being a reliable source?

I think there's a lot in here "claiming" to have knowledge when all they're doing is sharing someone else's view beit a friend or someone on X (That's fine by the way) but when someone says "I'm hearing this and so and so told me that" I don't think they should be held in the same regard until they've at least earned the right and have some history that backs them up?

Not sure how easy it is but if you don't ask you don't get.

15

05 Jul 2026 09:13:00
Just to clarify @2shoes - I'm don't claim to be an ITK. I'm relatively new at posting comments on here, although have read with interest for some time, as this is by far the most credible site for transfer rumours - mainly thanks to Eds, Robbo etl.

I recommend to anybody not to take my word as gospel. It is an opinion, one formed from reliable sources who i believe give me reliable information, and certainly not regurgatated from the likes of X, or anybody else.

I would suggest to anybody, just enjoy the site as it is by far the most accurate when it comes to potential transfers.

23

05 Jul 2026 09:26:05
All good, share and share again, mate.

Just trying to think of a way that some of the newer posters to the site would get an idea on who's got credit in the bank... so to speak.

It's a rumours site after all, so anyone can share anything they've heard if they wish, and we can all choose whether to believe it or not to believe it.

Some of us that have been using this site for years (myself, I've been visiting here for roughly 20 years) understand that things change sometimes far quicker than we imagine, but it's also nice to get an idea on who's got some insight. 👍🏻

3

05 Jul 2026 09:26:35
I hope Grizz is right about Wharton, as negotiating with Parish feels like a waste of oxygen. If he's looking for a fee similar to Anderson, the club should swiftly walk away. £116m for a midfielder who doesn't address the issues we actually have in midfield is at best frivolous and at worst incompetence.

10

05 Jul 2026 09:49:47
Absolutely, @2shoes. I couldn't agree more, and it's definitely a good idea, so people know who has a credible and accurate past record.

Like you say, you need to earn the right to be taken seriously as an ITK. The rest is just gossip. Which is absolutely fine, of course, but people with a degree of credibility should be showcased far more.

8

05 Jul 2026 09:55:21
@snip, The people you are choosing to believe now are the same people 2ho were saying that Slot was staying.

6

05 Jul 2026 10:16:30
My go to guys are The Fields, Carra, Robbo, Ned... others I ignore.

8

05 Jul 2026 10:49:22
I don't believe anyone could 'play' John Henry in business. Especially not Rocnation.

5

05 Jul 2026 10:56:59
Whoever we sign, I don't really care, I just hope the deals are concluded quickly so the said players can get training with the new manager ASAP.

5

05 Jul 2026 11:01:17
My personal opinion, having been on and off this site for around 10 years as more of a spectator, is RBL are in the driver's seat and want as much cash as possible. Diomande is not as sought after as we think as he would have already gone by now.

Finally, I genuinely believe we are extremely naive in transfers, therefore we're under pressure to get him because we have put all our eggs in one basket, and RBL know this.

5

05 Jul 2026 11:05:19
Shankly, you could also add VictorGoddam to that list. There's also a couple that have links to players (Square Tomato usually lets us know anything regarding Gomez). There's another poster (who's name now escapes me) that has close links to Wirtz family too.

2

05 Jul 2026 11:06:48
I look at the way Olise was bang average and lazy in the Premier League and is now tearing it up in the Bundesliga and touted for Trent's Ballon d'Or.
It makes me pay over £100m for a Bundesliga star (again).

3

05 Jul 2026 11:17:23
Why do you think we've put all our eggs in one basket, TA? Diomonde is obviously the top target for RW. Why would they move onto other targets until the top option isn't an option any more. If/when the Diomande deal is off, I'm sure the club will move onto other targets.

The club are also obviously still working on other positions as well, though, rather than just RW. A LW and a CB have just signed. So all eggs aren't in the Diomande basket.

4

05 Jul 2026 11:44:52
Respected posters who have attended more ganes then some of us have watched, how highly do u rate this Diomende? I've only seen few moments n nothing there suggested a player better then wat we have at present so why are we so despo to spend 86m.plus? Do any of the Eds rate him? I can't say either way as I've not seen enough

1

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - not seen enough of him to have any kind of judgement.}

3

05 Jul 2026 12:28:25
These ITKs remind me of the Phantom Flan Flingers from Tiswas (older gen). At first there was only one, now they're popping up everywhere.

3

05 Jul 2026 12:30:03
I'm not sure he's worth paying a 100 million for, there must be better options?

2

05 Jul 2026 12:27:38
@Eds I think we're going to have to introduce a twitter style "blue tick" system for confirmed ITKs at this rate we have so many!

Thanks for sharing Griz but based on proven track record i still believe the rumours coming from Robbo, Carra, fields, et al.

However I am actually not supportive of us signing Diomande as I think it's far too much money for a player that is only somewhat proven in the German league (1 decent season).

Would prefer prem proven players. It's such a different environment.

4

05 Jul 2026 13:58:41
Having worked with players in the Bundesliga in the past, the ones who swapped prem for Bundesliga have told me the difference between the leagues isn't really about how hard individual teams are. It's the culture of how it's played.

Bundesliga can be a fast counterattacking game like the Premier League, but you have a lot more space and defending is mostly about shepherding people into safe places and preventing runs into attacking spaces.

Attackers struggle with the adaptation to Premier League from Bundesliga a lot because they suddenly find there's no space to dribble into or make runs, and marking is extremely tight.

This is why speed is enough to dominate Bundesliga, but in the Premier League it's not. Midfielders and defenders tend to prefer the Premier League because you're suddenly allowed to use far more methods to defend due to the more lenient refereeing.

Personally, I'm always a lot more patient and skeptical of attackers coming from that league, but defenders and DMs should adapt pretty well.

05 Jul 2026 17:11:38
Interesting take that Nevada, and borne out by most of our recent purchases, and others like Havertz.

04 Jul 2026 22:47:19
Evening RedMen,

Long time reader, first time poster and felt like it would be nice to start sharing …….

Not looking for any recognition, just passing on any juicy goss from my man in the know (my man in the know works within the academy setup).

Mr Diamonde will be a Liverpool player within the next 2 weeks, PSG won’t stomp up the required fee, it’s all negotiations tactics from the players camp, we’ll get this one done.

Barcola is fancied if a deal for Gakpo can be done, however it’s going to take a huge bid and alternatives are being considered, however those braided locks are the first choice.

It could end up being a frustrating window due to time restraints from World Cup and the new manager needing time with the players, it’s going down to the wire with a few and we’ll have to be patient.

Once Diamonde's sorted, Wharton won’t be far behind, but then it will be dependent on outgoings for who comes in, strap in for a rollercoaster of a ride, some crazy names being touted!

All the very best.

IYNYK

04 Jul 2026 23:16:09
Thanks for your insightful and unique addition to this site.

14

05 Jul 2026 00:15:23
Pretty much what the guys on the site have said so far, thanks for confirming.

4

05 Jul 2026 01:21:21
To be honest, feels like the same rumour is getting rehashed every now and then. Hope this is.

5

05 Jul 2026 01:35:52
I'm in the IKFA rebel alliance, so I don't know how clubs operate in terms of negotiations. However, over the years, I have worked in both the public and private sectors for a number of national and international companies, and Federal and State government departments, and in all of them the organisations have conducted multiple negotiations at the same time.

Surely, the club's representatives can work in tandem on multiple deals / negotiations at the same time? Why do we have to wait into A has signed to then negotiate for B?

11

05 Jul 2026 01:49:47
To be honest, it feels like some people are piggybacking off the rumours from some of the more reliable ITK's, trying to make a name for themselves. Either that or the club has more leaks than the Bismarck.

14

05 Jul 2026 04:46:49
WDW, nice resume. We'll be in touch.

8

05 Jul 2026 06:42:56
Haha, Chewy. Over the decades, I have worked tirelessly and selflessly in the secret, public and private sectors for a number of intergalactic megacompanies, and Federal and State government departments, as well as for royalty and the estates of Paul Shane, Bella Emberg, Roy Jay and Les Dennis. My motto is - elbow grease and Toilet Duck will banish any regal skiddie.

8

05 Jul 2026 08:49:00
Thanks for the info. Hopefully, things may start moving quicker as we reach the latter stages of the World Cup.

2

05 Jul 2026 09:59:57
I've been retired for a couple of years now, @Chewy. I'm done and dusted, nice of you to think of me though.

@Rola, how can you have done all that and still have time to do your school homework every night?

3

05 Jul 2026 13:41:52
RolaColaIraola, intergalactic, you say? I'm afraid you may be overqualified for the role.

1

05 Jul 2026 15:34:12
When I do my school homework, not only do I achieve an A+++, every time, my teachers resign and become IT drones. I once wrote a 70,000 word essay on potatoes in Aramaic.

1

04 Jul 2026 21:34:30
Hi All,
Lamine Camara is likely to sign early next week. Liverpool need to beat Brighton and NUFC as the player wants CL football next season.

24

04 Jul 2026 22:28:14
Good signing.

4

04 Jul 2026 22:54:35
Let's hope this is true!

2

04 Jul 2026 22:56:41
Fair to say he was god awful in the World Cup.

I suspect he is a much better player than he showed though.

8

05 Jul 2026 01:19:32
Yeah, he was awful, but he was playing as a number 10 when he's number 6.

2

05 Jul 2026 06:09:36
Newcastle will love us if we get him.

2

05 Jul 2026 08:37:04
I'd prefer someone in that mould to Wharton. I'd only go for Wharton for a reduced fee (c70) and if Macca left.

2

05 Jul 2026 10:01:50
Next week is going to b3 brilliant. Diomande, Barcola, Wharton and Camara. What shirt numbers do you think they'll get?

2

04 Jul 2026 20:49:45
A couple of questions for Ed01 if I may. With the club looking at keeping the road around Anfield closed, could this be seen as looking to increase the capacity. Also rumours at FSG looking at selling up, could you see this being an option.

3

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - the club have been trying to get the infrastructure improved, but it will take years, so it is difficult to increase capacity. FSG have been looking to bring in investment for years rather than sell, but they have always been open to a sale if the price is right.}

15

04 Jul 2026 18:07:18
Just read this on the BBC gossip page. I’ve not read anything on here about it (and I’m an avid lurker).

Liverpool are willing to listen to offers for Dutch centre-back and club captain Virgil van Dijk this summer with the decision to renew the 34-year-old's contract last year viewed with regret by some inside Anfield. (Teamtalk).

2

04 Jul 2026 20:02:25
"TeamTalk".

15

04 Jul 2026 20:56:13
Duffer, what Vik is saying, in his own charming way, is that TeamTalk are an unreliable source more concerned with clickbait and driving traffic than publishing quality stories. In other words, they're trash.

16

04 Jul 2026 21:43:28
What Chewy said. If you're not into that whole brevity thing (credit The Big Lebowski).

6

04 Jul 2026 22:40:59
Lol I know, but on account of this being a rumour site and all...

7

04 Jul 2026 23:44:30
Worse than caught offside.
🙆‍♂️

2

05 Jul 2026 01:39:49
And if someone offers money for him (like Gala, as per the article), would we take the money, or would we wait to see if he runs his contract down, playing at the level he has been playing at for the last season and a half, and then get no money?

2

05 Jul 2026 06:12:13
You sell VVD and you pretty much just have kids at CB. Doubt we'll do that.

3

05 Jul 2026 08:35:01
If we're offered a decent fee (£50m plus), and we had a replacement lined up, I could see this happening this summer. It's happening in 12 months anyway without the fee, so why pay the huge salary for another 12 months and forego the fee?

I'd prefer to integrate his replacement while he's still here, but the club would probably prefer to cash in given the Mo debacle and VVD's decline.

0

04 Jul 2026 15:12:02
Local press in Almeria, Spain says we are one of the clubs interested in their attacking midfielder Arribas. Can play attacking midfielder, plus on both wings. Came from Real Madrid's academy, so like Munoz they have a sell on clause. £10m fee. 25 goals and 7 assists. 24 yr old.

13

04 Jul 2026 19:55:09
Two-footed but predominantly left.
Good ball skills.
This is the type of signing I expect from Iraola.

16

04 Jul 2026 20:23:45
I live in Almeria. Friends and season ticket holders I know have heard stuff, but reckon he's maybe not good enough for us, and also a bit lightweight physically even here.

8

04 Jul 2026 21:38:33
Sunderland after him as well as Portuguese sides, so maybe best suited there.
