What is Poch wearing? He looks like he has just slid out from underneath your car after checking your chassis.

19 Jun 2026 21:25:46
It's a tactic to distract the Aussies with his best Russel Crowe impersonation?

Agree11

19 Jun 2026 21:25:49
Poch may not look good, but this is easily the best the US team has ever looked in my lifetime.

Agree11

19 Jun 2026 21:43:11
Not saying a lot there, Dbav.

Agree7

19 Jun 2026 21:50:31
I'm almost for it. I got USA in the sweepstake at work.

Agree2

20 Jun 2026 09:12:30
The US will be quite hard to beat as their work rate is excellent, they're pacey and physical, a number of talented players, and they're well drilled tactically.

They've progressed a lot as a nation, and a few of the African teams are now looking the part as well. It's quite an open tournament, although France are still the best team.

I got Turkey. Already turned out to be a turkey. 🦃🦃

Will there be a pre-match military parade if America get to the Final?

Agree0

20 Jun 2026 16:20:13
He looks like Russell Crowe!

19 Jun 2026 20:02:10
You would think with all the money FIFA is raking in they could afford an extra chair for the VAR room. There is always one poor bugger standing up at the back.

19 Jun 2026 19:58:09
Flying gunships over the USA team... Cringe... Team America f*** yeeaaahhhhhh.

19 Jun 2026 21:09:56
Deplorable, really.

Agree11

20 Jun 2026 10:29:15
Really??... Didn't see the game. Glad I didn't see that. Deplorable is right, Oli. An understatement, in fact.

With Robbo being gone, are we expecting Tsimikas back next season? Or is he moving on? It feels like we need a lot of new bodies as it is.

19 Jun 2026 19:02:40
From earlier posts, the expectation is that Tsimi will return to be an alternate to Kerkez, who has settled in well during last season.

Agree6

19 Jun 2026 19:52:51
Yes. We will see the return of the Greek scouser.

Agree6

19 Jun 2026 20:07:47
Definitely makes our lb options weaker tho.

Agree1

19 Jun 2026 20:37:10
I'd disagree with you there, Irish.

1) Kerkez took some time to settle last season. He's settled now, so should be at a higher level for more of the season.

2) Robbo is the better player, but his legs have been going for some time.

Tsimi is a bit younger, so what he lacks in terms of Robbo's talent, he will make up in legs! He's also got just as much passion.

Agree7

19 Jun 2026 20:58:12
I don't mind Tsimi back, I love him. Like Robbo, he's one of us.

Agree7

19 Jun 2026 21:11:12
I have no issues with Tsimiks coming back. He loves the club. The fans love him, and he has always played his heart out for the club. What's not to like, esp. as a backup option?

Agree6

19 Jun 2026 22:02:27
I, for one, am excited for Iraola's team of

Ali, Tsimikas, Virg, Gomez, Bradley, Endo, Jones, Baj, Chiesa, Darwin & Elliot taking the league by storm.

Agree4

19 Jun 2026 22:27:51
Don't mind Tsimi back, unless Chambers or Beck really step up in pre season.

Agree0

20 Jun 2026 00:55:12
The guy made 6 starts for Roma and roughly 700 minutes all season. He is definitely a downgrade on Robbo. Just because he's a likeable guy won't make up for his lack of quality compared to Robbo.

Agree6

20 Jun 2026 03:02:30
Are we comparing to prime Robbo or the Robbo of the past two seasons? Tsimi is more than capable of being back-up to Kerkez, but the concern for me is his injuries. He always takes some time to get going, and by the time he does, he somehow ends up injured.

I don't think LB is a priority area for us atm, since we also have Beck and Chambers who can play there and should be able to deputise for Kerkez.

Agree1

20 Jun 2026 04:06:44
Tsimi has never let us down, he gets stuck in and he gets the fams and the city. He won't be a starter but he will be a good squad member. Or should we spend £30-40m for someone to sit on the bench?

Agree0

20 Jun 2026 07:00:11
Last season Robbo started 36% of LFC games.

Totally get it's a new manager, so might be different, but Tsimikas or the back up left back will be expected to start games next season.

Ok, a separate note. Hopefully, we don't end up with 7 different players playing right back again.

Agree1

20 Jun 2026 07:46:38
Interesting debates these.... Jones, a local lad, is not deemed good enough, and we should sell to the highest bidder, but Tsimi is seen as a good squad player.

imo... both are the perfect squad players.

The trick is to convince them of such... whilst giving them an opportunity to compete for starting places.

Agree0

20 Jun 2026 09:12:33
Personally, I'd sell Tsimikas and let Beck & Chambers compete to be back up, waste of a non HG space in my honest opinion. P

Agree1

20 Jun 2026 10:32:24
Agreed, VV. If Chambers or Beck are good enough, they should be given the spot ahead of Tsimikis.

Agree0

20 Jun 2026 10:32:48
I agree with Viktor. He also has 1 year left on his deal, so why lose him on a free too? Sell him and let Chambers & Beck battle it out in pre-season to be Kerkez's back-up. Kerkez will now work with the guy that made him one of the best LB's in the league, so I have very high hopes for Kerkez.

Agree0

19 Jun 2026 18:11:13
I know it sounds like World Cup fever… However, I hope we are all over Bouaddi - he looks such an unbelievable talent - compared to Mac, Jones, Harvey etc in my opinion.

20 Jun 2026 01:40:08
Didn't do much against Scotland.

Agree2

20 Jun 2026 04:07:45
To be fair, he didn't need to - Scotland were poor.

Agree1

20 Jun 2026 10:35:01
Scotland were poor, yes, but so was Bouaddi, nothing like his Brazil performance, he looked slow, labored, lost the ball countless times, and his passing was terrible yesterday. Gotta be careful with overhyping youngsters too quick, it gets to their head.

19 Jun 2026 17:54:12
£94-95m with add-ons I reckon seals the deal. It won’t go past the £100m mark as a base payment.
Schlotterback I don’t see happening. I think Ordonez is the man we will go after.
Wharton I don’t see either. I think we will go for someone not currently known as a target, similar to the Munoz swoop.

19 Jun 2026 17:19:53
I'm hearing RB want a crazy fee for Diomande.
Now, I have had one beer and bearing in mind I'm gone after four, this is my view.
For a player with one solid season, the fee is getting crazy. There is no guarantee he takes to the Prem.

Go for someone like Yakuba Minteh and invest what's left towards legitimate DM.
This season is going to be transitional anyway, Minteh, after a year playing for us under Iraola, could really kick on, without us shelling out 120+ million.

19 Jun 2026 17:47:23
I'd rather listen to what Carra, Robbo, etc. say. If they say all is in hand, then that's good enough for me. They are far more reliable than any rags, so-called journalists, and the Romano types.

Agree2

19 Jun 2026 18:28:03
Brighton wouldn't want much less for Minteh.

Agree1

19 Jun 2026 18:28:10
Don't worry about the finances shoots.

Agree3

19 Jun 2026 21:13:58
Snoots, and you think Palace will sell Wharton for peanuts? Or that Forrest will let Elliott go for less than the 100m plus they rejected from City? Or that Minteh will go for cheap too?

This is the market, so if you want the player, pay the fee and keep it moving.

Agree0

19 Jun 2026 16:49:32
Not sure if it's true but have seen online that Leipzig apparently pointed to Dembeles valuation when he left the Bundesliga as what they want for Diomande. £130m. Absolute crazy. I know some of you will say it's not our money but come on if that's true, then we walk away surely.

19 Jun 2026 18:13:34
Euros, not pounds, EUR120-130 apparently, which is something like £105-115. Which they'll get, including add-ons, not as a base fee.

Agree0

19 Jun 2026 18:28:38
Ignore the finances, gents.

Agree6

19 Jun 2026 21:14:50
Ditto, BeKind. The money is irrelevant at this point. The market is the market. Move on.

Agree2

19 Jun 2026 16:13:37
Transfermarkt have put together 5 CB signings who could replace Konate.

Schlotterbeck - buyout is a good deal on a player in his prime. Left footed and can play lb if necessary. Would Virg move over to the right?

Van De Ven - Spurs may sell as buying CBS. Can play lb as well. Would be expensive and his injury record is bad.

Lacroix - has been fantastic for Palace but I suspect they will want a huge sum and we have put a big outlay in new CBS.

Finn Jeltsch - young 19yr old CB from Stuttgart. Has been scouted but we have many young ones already. Great talent.

Ordonoz - doing great for Ecuador and price could be good value. Can also cover RB.

For me it's Schlotterbeck or Ordonoz, with my preference being Schlotterbeck. Natural left footed leadership at the back. Virg moves over to the right.

19 Jun 2026 17:41:55
Ordonez is the more likely for me, KP backed up by Carra in his posts too.
I am keen on Palestra more than anything right now. RB is a huge priority for me.
Most will attack me for this, but Bradley is not going to be our answer, he is massively injury prone so early in his career, and I still don't think he is good enough for a first team starting place.

Frimpong is never a RB, full stop. I would sell.

Agree4

19 Jun 2026 18:04:50
I was thinking that, Hughes. With Gomez able to play RB it could save us pennies. I'd be happy with both.

Agree0

20 Jun 2026 04:13:59
I think we need a mature centre half. We have about 5 young could be's - Leoni, Jacquet and the 3 young centre backs we sorted out in the winter window. Someone in their early, preferably mid 20s, who has good experience in a top league wouldn't go amiss. The only 'senior' CBs that we have are Virg and Joe.
