Wolves still interested in Origi for January Eds?, not saying he's the answer but they could certainly do with a finisher.

I hope it's only a loan and he revives his old form while there, to come back and help us out.

{Ed025's Note - if they offer £500,000 take the money and run i say ArAy, not only will you get him off the wage bill but will be ridding yourselves of a millstone from around your neck as well, and freeing up space for a better player to come in or even a reserve to get a chance mate..

2.) 26 Nov 2018 19:14:50
He’s world class as Brendan the spoofer Rodgers would say! Good luck to him if true.

3.) 26 Nov 2018 20:40:06
Old form? You got to have form before you can have old form!

4.) 26 Nov 2018 21:38:21
Come on, Ed025. We bought him for 10 Million. I doubt very much that the club would let him go for anything lower. It's probably wishful thinking on my part (the "old form" of about 6 months, couple of years ago), but i do rate him higher than any of the other backup strikers we've had/ have, Sturridge excepted of course.

{Ed025's Note - just a bit of banter mate..hes worth at least 10p more than that.. :)

5.) 26 Nov 2018 22:42:02
IMO it would make sense to take a cash deal for him in Jan, as at least that puts some money in the coffers.

If it’s just a loan, I’d rather keep him. Injury to Studge and he’s our next go to after Firmino. At least he had the experience.

Next season, I see Brewster challenging Studge’s place, but I don’t think he’s going to be fit and firing this season.

Eds has there been any interest shown in Lallana?

big emre

{Ed001's Note - not that I am aware of.}

1.) 28 Jun 2017 19:54:28
A mate of mine in London used to work as an Auditing manager for a high end cleaning firm and claimed a Spurs official he met on the job told him they were interested. I don't know if he was just winding me up now, but he still claims it was legit info. He is so uninterested in football though (one of those who claims to support United, but couldn't tell you who is there captain), so whilst he had no reason to lie, he could easily be fooled by someone trying to look cool.

No idea if it was true in the first place though, let alone if it is still the case now. Seemed believable at the time with the Poch/ Lallana Saints link.

2.) 28 Jun 2017 21:37:49
I have a brother like that, a united fan who can't name any players. All he's good for is annoying me when we're playing them.

3.) 29 Jun 2017 10:17:28
I'd sign him.

09 Mar 2016 17:29:15
New contract for Chirivella, any sign of one for Rossiter?

big emre

1.) 09 Mar 2016 18:00:34
I think rossiter will be leaving big emre, a combination of injuries and not progressing as much as the club had hoped, like senior players a few youngster will also be let go at the end of the season. congrats to chirivella on his new deal though, like stewart it's till 2020 so that gives him plenty of time to try and become a 1st team player.

2.) 09 Mar 2016 18:33:40
Crazy. was nearest the 1st team out of all our young midfielders, maybe nearer than any U21 player full stop. picks up an injury and in the meantime its decided he's not good enough? seems very harsh.

3.) 09 Mar 2016 19:01:54
Agree Big Emre that it's a shame, but for Jordan and seeing what's in front of him now for first team, plus a signing in the summer no doubt, it's better for him. I'm sure he'll do well have higher hopes than Jay Spearing when he left. Shame, but glad Pedro signs on.

4.) 09 Mar 2016 19:17:14
Why though? Rossiter is much nearer to being ready than Chirivella. ah well, good that we have so many good young mudfielders.

5.) 09 Mar 2016 20:14:17
Why will he be leaving? Maybe a year long extension as he needs to prove his fitness. Has been injured pretty much thus entire season. Pedro looks class though and Klopp really rates him. 👍.

6.) 09 Mar 2016 20:49:41
2/ 3/ 4 years ago, Stewart wasn't mentioned, rossiter was the highest thought of, Flanagan wasn't highly thought of, now he's a first teamer, Sinclair was rated, but his attitude has probably ended things with us. Clearly players develop at different times and in different circumstances they perform. As much as I Rositter gets another shot, its normal for players to progress less or more, albeit injury plagued, and he may not, with the names like other players have mentioned.

7.) 09 Mar 2016 20:59:33
Rossiter's pace is the problem, and injuries have slowed him down even more.

8.) 09 Mar 2016 21:41:43
Fencey, the reason Stewart wasn't mentioned 2,3 or 4 years ago is because he wasn't at the club.

9.) 09 Mar 2016 21:45:19
Didn't Stewart only sign in July 2014 from the spuds.

10.) 09 Mar 2016 23:24:51
2014 is two years ago right? Probably joined in the summer mind, but that was barely my point, just more than some players progress more than expected others less. I can't remember Stewart being mentioned since his signing before the Exeter games.

11.) 10 Mar 2016 00:53:18
Rossiter has a contract offer. Its down to his agent and himself to a) sign b) try for better terms or c) leave for another club offering better terms.

12.) 10 Mar 2016 03:19:29
As much as I want Rossiter to succeed, I think his lack in physic will pull him down. Especially in his position and role.

13.) 10 Mar 2016 18:08:19
All I have to say is hopefully they all become good and we all have good deals with them. If that's staying or going.

Havertz would be the player i'd love to see us sign most this summer! Already super and still a kid.

big emre

1.) 24 Nov 2018 07:23:26
He looks good doesn't he mate, I have only seen him a handful of times but from what I've seen the lad looks very good, only about 18 as well isn't he?

2.) 24 Nov 2018 13:04:14
19 Sakah mate, made a point of watching him lastnite for Leverkusen. He absolutely ran the game, everything he does is just class. He could be that top attacking player to link the midfield and forwards like Fekir could've been. Could even see him play the Firmino No.9 role too.

24 Sep 2018 15:39:06
Another goal for Havertz, great young player. Would love to see us go in for him in the summer.

big emre

1.) 24 Sep 2018 16:27:45
It’s his first of the season.

2.) 24 Sep 2018 18:02:26
He also scored twice away at Ludogorets in the Europa League last midweek Navy Keith - so that’s two in his last three in all comps, but yes his goal this weekend was his first of the season in the Bundesliga.

3.) 24 Sep 2018 21:13:45
Same amount of goals as Salah and Bobby Navy! Will be a top top player.

"City have signed a gem from Liverpool and he should be enjoyed as long as he's here". that's what the Hull press are saying about Harry Wilson. The lad has been the best player in the U23 league for a couple of seasons now and but for an injury last summer would have done what he's doing now all season. People will say its too late to have an impact al Lfc but people should remember where Salah and Mane were playing at his age.

big emre

1.) 11 Mar 2018 09:10:43
So confused, thought u meant man city haha. This is the challenge for guys like wilson aye? Where can he develop so that when he is ready by about age 24 he can still be used by us? Long long long term loans!?

2.) 11 Mar 2018 09:28:32
He's got plenty of time to shine and I have no doubt he will, well he already is but I mean for us. I just hope he's not another one we let slip away because his talent is clear for all to see but then again, as was Suso's.

Problem is for these youngsters is they are hyped up too much, people expect so much from them immediately and if they make a few mistakes suddenly they aren't good enough. Look at TAA yesterday, he had a terrible game but so many fans was on his back because of it, I think people need to remember how young these lads are, it's a learning process for them at top level, mistakes happen.

3.) 11 Mar 2018 09:37:52
He signed a new contract before being loaned so no panic there. I'd be happy with Salah, Mane, Wilson and the Ox our wide players next year although if we could get Sessegnon from Fulham even better. Fulham would actually be a great club to loan Wilson to if they got promoted, they play great football and keep it on the ground as much as possible.

4.) 11 Mar 2018 10:26:28
It's early days but it's looking like this may be our most successful loan in ages.

I'm fascinated by this one, Klopp really hasn't given him a look in with the first team, is that a bit of man management by Klopp trying to fix an attitude problem perhaps?

5.) 11 Mar 2018 11:15:38
The loans seem to working really well ATM good loans to championship sides. Wilson is shining grujic is a constant starter for Cardiff, I'm sad for ojo that injury once again caused a stutter in what started v promisingly for him at Fulham. Hoping they can continue to gain experience and make an impact for the rest of the season. Shame woodburn didn't get one but maybe the championship is too physics for him ATM. Like to see him get some game time when were cruising in games.

Lfc and the local press have denied todays claims from Barca. What a truly embarassing club the Catalans are who conduct their business in the most underhanded of ways. Fair dues to Lfc tho, now have the best front four in the league with the best young midfielder in Europe on the way. Great pieces of business in Solanke and Robertson also, all in all a good window.

1.) 02 Sep 2017 17:31:52

I agree about Barcelona and their underhand methods. I also think the Man Utd loving press in this country did their utmost to rock the boat at Liverpool, with some of their spurious headlines and stories during the latter days of the transfer window.

2.) 02 Sep 2017 18:40:34
They have unsettled a lot of players this summer: Veratti, Seri and Countinho and possible Martinez.

3.) 02 Sep 2017 18:58:13
Jus ignore the fact that Liverpool have behaved appallingly this window.

I think the time for Brewster and Duncan to think about moving would be if Liverpool were to sign another big name centreforward. At the moment i think the club won't sign a new player in that position in order to give the likes of them two mentioned the chance to come through. Both seem to be well thought of.

Apparently Lainez will be allowed to leave in Jan, his club president says Ajax and two other sides are interested. Do you know if Liverpool one of the other sides?

Mane, Salah, Bobby, Shaquiri and Pulisic! no more players to cover the front 3 positions than our rivals have, with Brewster also to get some minutes. Also at least 3 of the above could play an attacking midfield role also. Why are we afraid on here of having a squad as strong or stronger than our rivals. The aim should be to be playing 60-65 games a season after all.

Why would we have to sell Mo or Mane to be able to bring a player with one year of his contract left to the club? he can't cost that much.

At 22 you're saying he can't improve enough to change Klopps mind (thats even if he was off the mind of selling him in the 1st place) . Obviously with a run of games and with the growing confidence of getting starts he's getting better and better, his current manager certainly seems to think so. At 22 he's far too young to be writing off.

I'd like to see Neco Williams or Jana-hoever get a chance to cover for Trent at right full before we buy anyone. Wan Bissaka is very good though.
