New contract for Chirivella, any sign of one for Rossiter?

big emre

1.) 09 Mar 2016 18:00:34
I think rossiter will be leaving big emre, a combination of injuries and not progressing as much as the club had hoped, like senior players a few youngster will also be let go at the end of the season. congrats to chirivella on his new deal though, like stewart it's till 2020 so that gives him plenty of time to try and become a 1st team player.

2.) 09 Mar 2016 18:33:40
Crazy. was nearest the 1st team out of all our young midfielders, maybe nearer than any U21 player full stop. picks up an injury and in the meantime its decided he's not good enough? seems very harsh.

3.) 09 Mar 2016 19:01:54
Agree Big Emre that it's a shame, but for Jordan and seeing what's in front of him now for first team, plus a signing in the summer no doubt, it's better for him. I'm sure he'll do well have higher hopes than Jay Spearing when he left. Shame, but glad Pedro signs on.

4.) 09 Mar 2016 19:17:14
Why though? Rossiter is much nearer to being ready than Chirivella. ah well, good that we have so many good young mudfielders.

5.) 09 Mar 2016 20:14:17
Why will he be leaving? Maybe a year long extension as he needs to prove his fitness. Has been injured pretty much thus entire season. Pedro looks class though and Klopp really rates him. 👍.

6.) 09 Mar 2016 20:49:41
2/ 3/ 4 years ago, Stewart wasn't mentioned, rossiter was the highest thought of, Flanagan wasn't highly thought of, now he's a first teamer, Sinclair was rated, but his attitude has probably ended things with us. Clearly players develop at different times and in different circumstances they perform. As much as I Rositter gets another shot, its normal for players to progress less or more, albeit injury plagued, and he may not, with the names like other players have mentioned.

7.) 09 Mar 2016 20:59:33
Rossiter's pace is the problem, and injuries have slowed him down even more.

8.) 09 Mar 2016 21:41:43
Fencey, the reason Stewart wasn't mentioned 2,3 or 4 years ago is because he wasn't at the club.

9.) 09 Mar 2016 21:45:19
Didn't Stewart only sign in July 2014 from the spuds.

10.) 09 Mar 2016 23:24:51
2014 is two years ago right? Probably joined in the summer mind, but that was barely my point, just more than some players progress more than expected others less. I can't remember Stewart being mentioned since his signing before the Exeter games.

11.) 10 Mar 2016 00:53:18
Rossiter has a contract offer. Its down to his agent and himself to a) sign b) try for better terms or c) leave for another club offering better terms.

12.) 10 Mar 2016 03:19:29
As much as I want Rossiter to succeed, I think his lack in physic will pull him down. Especially in his position and role.

13.) 10 Mar 2016 18:08:19
All I have to say is hopefully they all become good and we all have good deals with them. If that's staying or going.

Would Ryan Kent be in contention to play on Sunday?

big emre

1.) 12 May 2017 16:50:32
I'm sure he would if he was close to good enough.

2.) 12 May 2017 16:55:15
Obviously not.

3.) 12 May 2017 17:53:34
For who?

27 Nov 2016 19:33:46
With Hertha in the German Champions League places and Allan having figured in half the games (i know most were sub appearances), if this was the situation at the end of the season do you think he would qualify for his work permit? if a 19yr old was featuring that much for the likes of us, City or Chelsea the English media would be raving about him.

big emre

{Ed002's Note - Firstly the media would have nothing to say about it at all in respect of other clubs, there is no conspiracy against Liverpool and you need to get over the paranoia. Allan did not meet the Work Permit guidance when Liverpool signed him and he doesn't meet the new guidance. Liverpool could make a case for him but unless matters change with regards Grujic I suspect credibility has gone. What Hertha do means nothing, but if he were to play more regularly for the Brazilian national U20 or U23 side that would help. Else it will be another year on loan I would think.}

1.) 27 Nov 2016 20:37:17
We are quite lucky on this site, thanks for the information Ed!

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

2.) 27 Nov 2016 20:48:52
Not trying to wind you up Eds002 but how come he can play in Germany but not here, we're still in the EU, even, fair employment rules across Europe, baffled to be honest.

{Ed002's Note - The employment rules and the need for work permits vary from country to country based on individual government rules. Like television rights, income from sponsorship etc., many things vary. It is nothing whatsoever to do with the EU.}

3.) 27 Nov 2016 23:54:01
So despite we're all playing in uefa competitions ( not this yr) different countries can have different rules regarding non european players, doesn't seem that level a playing field.
Grunjic after his pre season deserves a bit of time in the first team but murphys first law states don't fix it if it ain't broke.

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with being non-European, different countries have different rules for non-EU, African etc. players - it is nothing to do with level playing field - would you be happy for Liverpool to give up a very significant amount of their income (television money) to level the playing field with most of the European sides? Do you think the British government dhould have given up all of their powers to the EU? Do you want a very low cap on commercial investment in the club? More whining from Liverpool fans - really pretty embarrassing.}

Any news on when Ojo will be back?

big emre

04 Sep 2016 21:27:40
Any1 know how Allan got on for Brazil against England earlier?

big emre

1.) 04 Sep 2016 22:10:19
He scored that's the only thing I cam tell you.

2.) 04 Sep 2016 22:14:48
Brazil won, he played for 60 minutes as a defensive midfielder, played well from what I saw.

3.) 05 Sep 2016 07:38:45
Didn't know he was a defensive midfielder! This could be good for us! Hopefully gets a work permit.

4.) 05 Sep 2016 14:34:20
Normally he's played in a more attacking role, but he was in front of the defence.

5.) 05 Sep 2016 18:03:53
Deep-Lying Playmaker, then.

Would becoming a starter for Hertha and playing maybe 30-40 games for a team in a top league with European football at the age of 20 not be enough? Or does he HAVE to get into the Brazil squad?

big emre

{Ed002's Note - He does not meet the criteria for a work permit - you are clutching at straws.}

With Stewart and Lucas due to leave this summer or next, and no one knowing how Henderson will be managed in the future would there not be space for him if he has a super season next year and gets his permit? think he looks a player.

big emre

{Ed002's Note - I can't see him getting in to the Brazil squad.}

Is it ability the reason behind you seeing no future for Allan or more circumstances around the permit? Surely if its ability there's no rush to judge, a young lad who's had appearances in a top league and would have played a lot more but for the u20 championships with Brazil.

big emre

{Ed002's Note - He does not qualify for a work permit. He is not home grown. I am not sure why I need say the same things over and over.}

Would you keep him ed? if he's as good as you say around the place and we were recieving offers not worthy of the player would it not make more sense to keep the player and not have to worry about getting a forward in.

big emre

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

He's doing exactly what he did at Dortmund, think it took him 2 years just to get them back into europe there. it wasnt success straight away. he'll continue trimming the squad and adding better players while leaving room for the youngsters to come through.

Too right they cant, its all about opinions i suppose! where you see a poor coach i see someone who is sorting the club out from the youths right up to the first team.

Who cares what he told the owners. why is this continually mentioned? no one cares what he promised the owners. they have yet to deliver on a few of their own promises after years at the club. Put it this way, i doubt they'll be showin Klopp the door after delivering Champions League with little or no net spend.

big emre

{Ed002's Note - The owners care. Klopp will certainly care. Nobody is suggesting they will sack him - they can't afford to.}

I don't think he's a God, but were lucky to have him. by the way, what attitude should a new manager come into the club with? should he say and believe he can win the league or should he just accept its impossible and not try to push towards it?

big emre

{Ed002's Note - All excuses for the manager are accepted.}
