Absolute shocker in my eyes
Something is definitely up in our dressing room,
It’s like watching a different side from 12 months back. Just no urgency, knowone making a run, front three non existent, subs woeful,
Milner terrible which is unlike him
This Utd team are rubbish and Liverpool are top of the league but intent on chocking it away weekly.

Klopp needs a few stern words, cuddles seem not to be working anymore.

Jsupersparks

{Ed0333's Note - why would you say something is up in the dressing room? How can you make such a controversial allegation without a shred of evidence?

1.) 24 Feb 2019 16:28:21
Milner was not the worst player for us today. The more conservative approach worked well for twenty games, just seems now we are sttlruggling to get out of second gear!

2.) 24 Feb 2019 16:33:09
You're jumping to conclusions too much mate and looking for things that aren't there.

3.) 24 Feb 2019 16:39:29
Wow! Klopp has gone with a more reserved approach all season to try and keep a meaner defence, for that to work our from three need to be on fire. They are just off it slightly at the minute nothing more.

4.) 24 Feb 2019 16:38:33
I don’t think there’s an issue with the dressing room just a very bad performance against an injury ridden team. Defensively we were good but our attack just had no creativity and it seemed no one was keen to try anything inventive.
Personally I wanted Trent to start as I feel it provides more balance to The team. And he has a better link up with salah.
The worst decision was bringing in sturridge. He offers nothing and just doesn’t link well with mane or salah at all. Would have preferred origi or shaq and move salah central
We’re still top though but need to rediscover our form soon or we’ll blow this.

5.) 24 Feb 2019 16:40:51
Tough week though Reds, Bayern followed by Man Utd.
Unbeaten and we’re still disappointed.
It was a frustrating game to watch but a point’s a point. That’s football.

6.) 24 Feb 2019 16:40:54
We played ok. We could have won this. We need better quality subs.

{Ed0333's Note - we wouldn’t have won that game if it was played for a 1000 minutes. We were abysmal.

7.) 24 Feb 2019 16:41:12
It seems to me we play not to lose, rather than to win. If we don't lose, the chances are, with the players we have that we win. Utd defended well today, they were there for the taking buy we didn't manage to cut out a decent chance.

But for a negative comments, think back, just a few years, we came to old Trafford as favourites, we had them on the ropes for large parts of the game. We are top of the league, ahead of a very good man city side. And now our run in looks very nice. We could easily win every game. Toffees and spurs at anfield are the only ones that look troublesome.

I'm glad we didn't lose. Utd have been playing well, we looked much better than them imo.

{Ed0333's Note - we had them on the ropes for large parts of the game? We’re you watching the same game as me mate?

8.) 24 Feb 2019 16:39:20
Keep calm guys. We will bounce back. Still having our noses ahead. But its a terrible match considering the hype its got. Ed025, feeling more disappointed.

{Ed025's Note - disappointed that liverpool never really turned up stg, united were there for the taking today mate..

9.) 24 Feb 2019 16:50:09
It’s a bad patch that needs sorting ASAP.
I’ve not seen mane play that bad before. And salah what’s going on with him.

{Ed025's Note - those 2 were very poor longthing, salah made luke shaw look like maldini mate..

10.) 24 Feb 2019 16:50:29
In the context of the history of this match at OT, I’ve seen better Liverpool teams come away from there with nothing against poorer Utd teams than today’s.
When you get Pogba, Sanchez and Lukaku all tracking back like newly born lambs then that tells you something.

11.) 24 Feb 2019 17:00:22
Firmino coming off when he was able to run off shows the lack of commitment in our team really disappointed he was so happy to come off. If he can play in the next 2 weeks he should've stayed on that pitch until that game was won or we atleast had an advantage.

12.) 24 Feb 2019 17:01:14
These are the games that define a world class player! Suarez or Torres would have ripped that defense apart. Salah has been nearly invisible in every big game this season.

13.) 24 Feb 2019 17:06:55
Bobby was clearly injured, just because his foot wasnt amputated doesn't mean he can stay on the pitch! let's remember regardless of the opposition there is only 3 points on offer so loosing bobby for additional games just to see out utd match makes no sense!

14.) 24 Feb 2019 17:08:23
4 draws in 5 games, form is out the window. Draw in th next two and season is done.

15.) 24 Feb 2019 17:09:47
it's as absurd as most fans jumping to the conclusion that we'll win the league halfway through the season. what's up with our attack though, it was disappointing against bayern and worse today. wish the ox came back sooner, it was shocking that of all our players, only matip drove through their defense. our game plan has become very predictable tbh, it's either try to lob over the defense to salah or play out wide and whip in a poor cross.

16.) 24 Feb 2019 17:09:58
Nun red it’s nothing to do with commitment he was injured! Did you not see he roll he’s ankle. What would you want us to do play he injured like rashford. That’s crazy.

17.) 24 Feb 2019 17:10:03
And the worst statement of 2019 goes to Nun red. Clown.

18.) 24 Feb 2019 17:11:19
Bobby was taken out in cructches mate.

19.) 24 Feb 2019 17:18:33
Totally agree with ed0333. We weren’t winning that game no matter how long it would have went on, but we did look like conceding even though we had way more of the play. I couldn’t and still can’t understand why we brought sturridge on. I’m not being a dick but he’s finished this 3 years. He got a worldie against Chelsea that arguably he shouldn’t have went for. What else has he done? He hasn’t even tried and he didn’t again today. Fab, wiji, Van Dijk, Matip and by times Hendo were the only ones that played imo. Allison hadn’t much to do by times but still made 1 or 2 fine saves. Milner seen a lot of the ball but his crossing was way off. I thought taa was worth his place. The attack didn’t function today and even though Firmino has been very inconsistent lately by him going off I think this might have had a bad affect on others. Just my opinions. Missed opportunity imo but definitely not a disaster.

20.) 24 Feb 2019 17:14:48
Okay, maybe "on the ropes" was a bit strong. We had much more of the ball and looked much more dangerous than them imo. Wasn't the best performance but was a decent game to watch. It needed a goal to open it up. Mane had an off day but has otherwise been pretty good this season, salah just gets 3 men thrown on him everytime the ball goes toward him. We should be able to capitalise on the space that creates.

I dunno, I'm not dis satisfied. We got the point that takes us clear top of the league.

{Ed025's Note - i honestly dont know what game you were watching robbie? it was a bloody awful game to watch and united had the better chances....but besides that you are spot on mate.. :)

21.) 24 Feb 2019 17:14:59
Nun Red, that is a crass comment. Are you medically qualified to assess the extent of Bobby’s injury from watching on tv? Have you forgotten already that TAA played the full match against Brighton with an ankle injury and was then missing for weeks? If the manager and medical staff decided he needed replacing so early in such a vital match, then that is enough for me.

22.) 24 Feb 2019 17:23:32
There was no point keeping Firmino on the pitch and make him worse (like United had to do with Rashford) but really wish it was Shaqiri that came on instead. It’s quite clear Origi and Sturridge aren’t good enough for us. They will never threaten for a first team place which means any of the front 3 could play awful and never worry about being dropped. Would like to have seen Trent come on for Milner as his delivery was awful today.
But a point has taken us top of the league and it’s ours to lose. Also with arsenal winning united are going to be desperate for points to try get back to 4th so let’s hope they can take points off City.

23.) 24 Feb 2019 17:31:59
Jsupersparks, I am looking forward to further well-informed insights from you on what is going on inside the Liverpool dressing room. You are obviously a well placed insider to make such a comment - I am guessing you are a kitman or a physio perhaps. Keep posting on this site, you will be a real asset.

24.) 24 Feb 2019 17:57:31
I"m not sure Sturridge was the right substitution for Bobby. He was invisible in the game and it was almost like playing with 10 men. I hate to be negative about him, but there were better choices to come in at that point. Maybe bring in Keita and go with a front two just for a more creative approach.

25.) 24 Feb 2019 18:06:21
"This Utd team are rubbish and Liverpool are top of the league but intent on chocking it away weekly. "

Jsupersparks, ain't it ironic that Liverpool are still top of the table?

Can you explain the choking part please?

26.) 24 Feb 2019 18:48:43
I don't really understand why us LFC fans turn on each other so quickly when we don't win. People having a moan and groan have just as much right as the fans who say we are going to smash every team each week and have been guaranteeing us that the title was already won a few weeks ago. No player is bigger than the club and no fan is more important than the next. I'm desperate for the title as much as the next fan and I also believe I am entitled to have critical opinions of players and performances without meaning I am a troll. I think it's fair to say that we are not currently playing well and haven't been for a few weeks now. However we are still top and if we can hit top gear whilst it's still in our hands then that title is ours. We claim to be the best fans in the world but we don't act like it when someone shares a different opinion to our own on here. Looking forward to all the thumbs down on this comment which will only prove my point. YNWA.

27.) 24 Feb 2019 20:24:26
Top of the league and picked up a point at a place we've won 2 times in 18 games. Yes clearly we need to improve, and quickly if we want to win the league.

It also shows me we need that creative person in midfield and something different up front as a plan b.

We also could do with another right back option in case of injury to TAA (who hasn't kicked on this season for me) .

But let's have some perspective. We are 9 points from our total of the whole of last season with 11 games left. Not exactly a bad situation is it. Never seen so many Liverpool fans lose their heads so quickly. Disappointing to see.

28.) 24 Feb 2019 20:58:18
Liverpool back on top of the league.
Man Utd drop out of top 4.

Win-win in my book 😎.

29.) 24 Feb 2019 20:52:59
To original post. Yes it is like watching a different team than 12 months ago as the one we are watching is 1 point clear at the top of the league as opposed to about 20 points behind last season. Enjoy the run in. We are a very good team and if it is not to be our year this season let us strenghten and go again. Klopp will Win us the league. Maybe this season or mayb next season. Beleive.

So much negativity on this site, at times we played some cracking football this season but with no end product. Pretty clear to me we just need to get on board a couple of decent strikers and the rest will fall into place.
Have faith peoples

Jsupersparks

1.) 02 Jun 2015 20:35:07
The rest will fall alright

2.) 02 Jun 2015 21:11:17
You don't win things in football with cracking football. You win things by winning matches and you win matches by being better trained, better organised, better disciplined and more focused than your opponents. So you want to ask yourself do you want to win trophies or do you want to be entertained, because the two are not necessarily linked.

3.) 02 Jun 2015 21:25:56
We've conceded 141 goals during Brendan's 3 year EPL reign with zero sign of improvements. I for one have a complete lack of optimism and trust towards the club and its owners. What an opportunity missed.

4.) 02 Jun 2015 21:28:31
I've said it before and I'll say it again, there has never been an occasion when the leagues been won with a poor defence. If he doesn't sort it out it'll be the same outcome next season

5.) 02 Jun 2015 21:29:50
cracking football? yeh al have two pints of that mate

6.) 02 Jun 2015 21:35:04
Red Lenin - You are right those things may not be linked, but ask Barca/ RM or Bayern fans what they think :-)

It can (and should) be done that way.

7.) 02 Jun 2015 21:46:03
HardkaareKop, They play efficiently more often than attractively. The great Liverpool sides of the past were the same. Efficiency first, attractiveness second.

8.) 02 Jun 2015 22:07:01
Cracking football? You sure?
I can't think of many games where that occurred.
The season before. yes! Last season.not so much!
I can't believe he is staying.
This was the time to act, whip it all out on the table, make statement about it not being good enough and going to get an upgrade replacement.
It does not matter if that person is at another club. Approach, sell the idea, throw a bit of money their way and get a winner in.
When you think of the dross being bought and not even being played, the money for the new manager would virtually be covered by the wasted money on bench warmers not happening.
How can Real Madrid get rid of Ancelotti after what he won with them, yet we deem Rogers to ge the best man to take us forward?
I have to question the decision makers. Are they aiming for PAR?
They are setting the coming season up for one where every poor performance, goal conceded, draw & loss will be blown even more out of proportion.
Go back to the 'Being Liverpool' documentary. Maybe Rogers had a few incriminating pictures of the FSG people in them - to be used if his job ever came under threat.

9.) 02 Jun 2015 22:36:52
Too easy to put it like that. yes the Liverpool sides of yester year were not always funny to watch, I recall many of especially away matches, where we basicly just played keeps to silence the opposition.

But while it may not have been done often, in a paraphrase of Kevin Keegan: "if you score 1 more goal than the opposition, you win", it is surely for football purist, the right way to go. The proof is almost in the sacking of Mourinho from Real. You win and you do it in style

10.) 02 Jun 2015 22:39:57
When was the cracking football?

11.) 02 Jun 2015 22:47:42
That is roughly fifty goals a season. What will change? Well, Sahko and Lucas, two of the players that make us solid defensively, have been frozen out by BR and will prolly leave. Goes to show right there that he has no idea what he's doing. Defensively but he did say that our woes were uncoachable hence, absorbing himself of any blame for said woes. the owners will regret this IMO, because BR will do nothing different.

12.) 03 Jun 2015 00:50:37
If you have confidence, a winning mentality and discipline in the team then attractive football will follow through that. It should not be the first aim to entertain the fans. But i do agree on attacking teams rather than mourihnos style of winning at any cost.
