Reading the digital rags this morning (not something I usually do) read real madrid put an offer in for manè I wouldn't be surprised as he is awesome but would be a massive kick in the nuts for salah if it was true I would definitely be more worried about losing manè than salah but I take it with a pinch of salt got to be flattered that our players are linked with other top teams.

1.) 14 Jul 2019 13:55:10
I don't think Hazard will appreciate playing second fiddle to Mane. Also Junior plays in the same position for Real also.

{Ed002's Note - But that is not where Hazard will be playing.}

2.) 14 Jul 2019 14:19:02
Will Hazard not be playing from the left of the front 3 Ed?

{Ed002's Note - That is not their plan right now.}

3.) 14 Jul 2019 14:45:33
Thanks Ed002 for clarifying. Do you think they are still interested in Mane for this summer?

{Ed002's Note - Yes. They want a left sided forward and interest in another option has faded.}

4.) 14 Jul 2019 15:55:50
doubt there is any chance we would be interested in selling. don't think madrid have 200 million £ for Mane.

5.) 14 Jul 2019 17:08:43
Sory Ed002, I know it’s not Liverpool but where do they plan on playing Hazard?

{Ed002's Note - AM.}

6.) 14 Jul 2019 17:58:04
How can they buy what they have and mane, and Barcelona have got greizmann and still looking at neymar! Madness in Spain.

7.) 15 Jul 2019 07:09:07
Not worried about Mane leaving at all. Real won't pay the asking price so its a non starter. If they are not willing to pay what Utd want for POgba, they can forget about Mane and do one coz Mane will be even more expensive.

8.) 15 Jul 2019 12:40:50
Was bound to happen the moment we hit the highest level of performance and started winning things. Happens to all the teams. Just a matter of the club tying down their players for as long as they anticipate needing them. And even then, it's not always a sure thing, as we're all seeing with the Griezmann and Neymar situations.

9.) 15 Jul 2019 12:41:04
Not worried in the slightest.

29 May 2018 11:10:31
Hearing we have bid 60 mill for alisson think karius is going to be leaving the club after saturday still prefer him over mings and would like to see him stay and fight but think there is more to it than just the errors any one else heared these or is it simply click bait my mates reading?

1.) 29 May 2018 11:19:17
If Karius gets sold I will be sick for the boy. What happened to YNWA? Klopp is loyal and won't sell him. All the papers are saying that we're going for Alisson but the eds are saying it's very very unlikely to happen so we will have to wait and see how've that turns out.

{Ed001's Note - when was the last time we signed a player I was desperate for us to sign? Sadly.}

2.) 29 May 2018 11:39:17
I remember an Ed said that Fabinho was a fav of him, last summer.

3.) 29 May 2018 11:43:22
If Karius leaves I would like to hope it’s not just a knee jerk reaction to his poor display the other night, he’s been pretty decent since coming in full time.

4.) 29 May 2018 11:53:38
Ed I think it's fair to say this transfer window won't be like any other we've seen, so hopefully we can break your curse.

{Ed001's Note - fingers crossed.}

5.) 29 May 2018 11:49:59
I know what you mean Ed1 mate it's the same with me, every time I get excited about a player it never comes off. So now I just pay no attention to what is said until it's done, unless of course one of you Eds were to say a deal is close with X player, then it's time to get a chufty.

If we get one of Fekir or Alisson then I'm happy, if we get both I'll be gobsmacked. Personal choice it'd be Alisson before Fekir for me.

6.) 29 May 2018 11:55:49
I hope is Karius leaves, it's because Karius wants to leave because I'd hate to see him kicked out.

7.) 29 May 2018 12:04:03
Keepers make mistakes and lose there positions unfortunately, and sadly for karius he dropped 2 big clangers in the biggest game of his life (and his teammates) .

He has to go.

8.) 29 May 2018 12:30:00
The problem is as a keeper its virtually impossible to regain the fans after such an event. Strikers can bang a hattrick in the first game after missing a game changing "sitter" or a midfielder can play out of his skin and take a vital game by the scruff of its neck in a cup game and the fans are all of a sudden back on side. a keeper would have to keep half a seasons worth of clean sheets and saved a penalty every game to get the fans back . hardest position in the world, I feel for him. but equally think he has to renounce his No.1 shirt to a new keeper, if he's got anything about him hell stay and fight/ learn with whoever comes in.

9.) 29 May 2018 12:37:25
Personally I still think Karius has potential, I'd bring in a new #1 and try to persuade him to stay as #2. He's very young and a year or two with us to build him back up could be good for both parties.

Either way, he's been pretty solid all year bar the final, and helped get us where we are.

10.) 29 May 2018 12:44:22
Maybe the solution for Karius is to go on loan to a Bundisliga club. That way he can get game time to build up his confidence in his home country and avoid the inevitable barrage of abuse from opposing fans over here.

11.) 29 May 2018 12:45:15
Perhaps this will be your lucky window ed and Fekir and Alisson will sign. I think you're overdue one of those windows tbh.

Although we got Firmino a couple of years back so that may well have been your lucky window;)

{Ed001's Note - fair point, that was probably all my luck used up. Though I had thought all my bad luck was used up when I got unlucky enough to meet Ed0333, judging by the weekend I still seem to have plenty left to spare.}

12.) 29 May 2018 12:53:21
I don't believe karius has to go at all. I am more than happy to see him as our keeper next season. He has been pretty good since he took the top spot from mingolet. I absolutely don't think we need to discard him after one bad game. All keeper's have bad game's at some point. I think our support is warranted for another season at least.

13.) 29 May 2018 13:21:48
The thing with Karius is he looks like and is a mistake waiting to happen. If you look at him from his Mainz days, you can see there is a fundamental flaw. Diving on a ball he can just pick up, punching when he should be catching, trying to come for a ball that he should never attempt to come for.
I watched a few of his performances back then and I was really worried when Klopp signed him. However trusted that I might have got it wrong. Every other top team in England has a steady eddy keeper, the worst is cech. We need an upgrade.

14.) 29 May 2018 13:24:14
Sometimes we have to take our rose tinted glasses off. although karius has done better since coming back there has still been a lot of near misses from him that he's been lucky to get away with.

All the top teams have "world class" keepers and karius is not at that level.

15.) 29 May 2018 13:37:46
Brisbane I feel for Karius I really do. The goalkeeper is the most important position for me. If there is any chance of getting Alisson we've got to go for it. I wouldn't bin Karius but he'd definitely be relegated to No.2 . Both mistakes on Saturday we're unacceptable for me 1. He's got to look for the easiest ball to play and in my view that was Robertson he chose to play a riskier option. 2. No top level keeper should be beaten from that distance. 3.He made at least 1 error in both legs against Roma . These are the 3 biggest matches he'd played in his life and he showed, for me in my opinion that he's not got the concentration to be a world class keeper. I don't blame him for losing by the way all my vitriol is saved up for Ramos.

16.) 29 May 2018 13:44:27
Based on what I have read and seen of Klopp in the last 2.5 years, I would tend towards him backing and keeping Karius. Klopp simply does not seem to be the knee-jerk reaction type of guy (the Caulker loan, aside) . However, he's not a one-man show when it comes to decisions. There are people above him and below him that will have an opinion that he may or may not listen to. If Karius does leave, then I think it will be more his own decision than anything else. It's been a few days now. And still very little show of support from his team mates, from the moment the game ended until now. Far more support from non-LFC sources. Why stick around in such an environment?

17.) 29 May 2018 14:08:54
I think sometimes you need to be ruthless in terms of decision making. Whilst I feel bad for Karius, this isn't the first error he has made and we need to be able to rely on our keeper going forward.

He was lucky that the Kolarov shot never went in against Roma and has made a few errors in the league, I think we were relieved that we got rid of Mignolet after 4 years, but is Karius much of an upgrade? Unfortunately not.

We need to go all out for Alisson.

18.) 29 May 2018 14:27:26
Eds I have absolutely no clue really how to judge a keeper other than i notice when they're doing stuff badly. Everyone, including yourselves, seems to rave about allison being almost up there with david de gea though so i was wondering what makes hime so good? i've only seen a couple of youtube clips and one thing i noticed was that he seems to palm quite a lot of shots into the middle of the area?

{Ed001's Note - positioning, agility, speed of coming off his line, dealing with crosses etc. All keepers palm the ball back out these days for some reason.}

19.) 29 May 2018 14:29:16
Honestly I really like Karius, he has the worst luck as that will probably be the worst match he ever plays and happens to be a CL final.

Think he has potential though and i thought he was good in the prem, It hurt yes but we move on and YNWA.

If he leaves I hope its down to his own personal decision and not the club kicking him out that would be horrible.

If he stays ill be happy and has my full support, would love for him to prove all the people talking sh*t about him wrong. If he leaves i still hope he has a good career and proves people that he can be a top class Goalie!

20.) 29 May 2018 14:35:14

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

21.) 29 May 2018 14:50:19
Fans talk like this was a one off with Karius. He's had about a dozen games like this. He was out the team for a year because he kept making blunders. It wouldn't be a knee-jerk reaction just the final straw. He's had half a good season but made more mistakes than I would like. Yes he's young but I don't see a GK that will save you games when I see Karius. It has to effect the defence too when they're unsure which Karius is behind them.

22.) 29 May 2018 15:01:43
Another quick point on the importance of the goalkeeper. Our last 2 European Cup triumphs were won by our keepers Dudek's double save and Grobellar's antics on the goal-line during the shootout. Both men showed bottle composure and concentration huge attributes for a keeper at the time it was needed most.

23.) 29 May 2018 15:19:00
Get Allison keep Karius and Ward Migs and Bogdan to go.

24.) 29 May 2018 15:35:58
And dudek was terrible 😁 but yeah I think if we are to go for a keeper a loan move would probably be the best shout for Karius. He will be massively under the spotlight with us if and until he has established himself as a consistent top quality international keeper. He is very young and does have potential but at the same time does not seem ready mentality as much as anything. His reaction to this is massive. It will either break him or make him. Learn from his mistakes.

25.) 29 May 2018 15:37:55
We need to strengthen the squad elsewhere, our game plan should not change because of one player goes off like Salah. Instead of working out the 70m on Allison, I would prefer we go sign some players to add some depth. Karius made some amazing saves along with two amazing errors. He is 24, Allison is 25 and will be turning 26 this year. Let Karius have one more year and see how he develops. Mistakes are good learning opportunities let's see how Karius progresses.

26.) 29 May 2018 15:39:04
In reply to OP. No bid for him has been made.

27.) 29 May 2018 15:53:56
After Karius came back in our defence improved but that has to be weighed up by the VVD effect. Yes I think Karius is better than Migs, but he’s error prone and when your fighting for trophies and titles you need a keeper that can win you points/ games not cost you them. How many points has De Gea won for Utd.
I’d like us to sign a keeper who gives me confidence rather than give me a heart attack every time he comes for a cross or something. Yes they will cost a lot of money, but money well spent IMO. Karius or Ward as #2.

28.) 29 May 2018 16:26:52
because of the swerve and movement of the new ball most keepers are now taught if you can't get your body behind it then parry. karius would have parried that shot had his confidence knocked. you could see him in two minds. im not sure what achterburg is upto but he was awful at tranmere.

29.) 29 May 2018 17:00:49
I don't slate players but for me Karuis should go. Not because of one terrible performance but for me i have never seen evidence he is good enough. That would be fine but with exception of the final he doesn't seem to care enough about the mistakes he makes. YNWA is great but shouldn't be a hindrance.

30.) 29 May 2018 20:57:55
Lerchy, whilst I’m personally of the opinion that no keeper has significantly improved under Achterberg’s watch (unlike De Gea wih United for example) and that keeper coaching role should be under the spotlight, the performance of a coach in their playing days is insignificant surely? - Look at Klopp, average/ poor player by his own account and now arguably the best coach in the world. I know Klopp seems to like and trust Big John but his coaching credentials have to be re-evaluated sooner or later surely?

What happened to this GK director (? ) we brought in Eds, I know it was said that Big John was still running the show, but does this new guy actually have much input in the first team keepers? Cheers.

31.) 29 May 2018 23:07:51
while I wouldn't want any other manager at Liverpool right now, as we are on an amazing journey,
Klopp needs a 2nd man with him who is not a yes man,
the way Klopp messes up with his subs is very poor most of the time,
maybe he is still learning, but we could have won at least another 4 or 5 games, had he made the right subs, the Chelsea game springs to mind,
but, like I said, its Klopp who is the man taking us on this amazing journey,
may it continue .

32.) 30 May 2018 17:03:14
I don't think anyone is surprised it happened just surprised it manifested itself in the CL final.

What we need costs mega a good keeper has 15-18 clean sheets a season Karius had 10, our GF with Mo and Co covered a big problem Liverpool shouldn't need to score over 2 goals every game which was the case in far to many games last season.

An investment of £75-£80 for a keeper is a big hunk of change or is it, we are Liverpool on the lookout for a keeper so you're getting your pants taken down, it is what it is, add in the age of the keeper and the reluctance of his club to sell, our competitors would / will pay it if needed.

If it works out that the backbone and stability of our defence which gets VVD Robbo TAA and Dejan all singing from the same hymn sheet costs Liverpool £15/ 17 million a year virtually guaranteeing CL football every season the investment of £80 million in a first class keeper shouldn't be a problem it's a necessity.

Hi all just checking In hoping everyone is safe and well take care of each other stay safe.

1.) 23 Mar 2020 23:15:39
Stay safe mate.

19 Mar 2020 19:37:14
Anyone paying for sky sports you can now pause it for 3 months you still get sky sports you just don't pay for it.

1.) 19 Mar 2020 19:50:25
That's got to sting Sky, burt I suppose it'll stop a lot of people cancelling completely.

2.) 19 Mar 2020 21:13:28
How please?

3.) 19 Mar 2020 21:40:29
Thank you Berg. Really easy, just log in to and select to pause your subscription. They will automatically start charging again once the season restarts but they confirm you will continue to receive all 11 channels and be able access all recordings.

4.) 19 Mar 2020 22:36:58
You also need to get in touch with them to unpause it, it doesn't automatically turn back on.

They are now looking for bt sport to do the same.

5.) 20 Mar 2020 08:37:24
Would that be similar if you also have premier sports?

6.) 20 Mar 2020 08:48:12
Actually Andyj, they automatically restart it, according to the website.

Remember, they are pausing your PAYMENT for Sky Sports, not the service itself. You will still get access to all Sky Sports channels etc, you are just not paying for them.

So it would be in Sky's best interest to restart charging for it automatically, otherwise who's going to volunteer to start paying for it again?

7.) 21 Mar 2020 22:20:54
Spot on zed they notify you when it starts to charge you again.

16 Mar 2020 12:14:28
Hi Ed's and reds I hope everyone is safe well and taking necessary precautions pogba has set a find raiser for people affected by vivid 19 which makes me think is there anything I can do. but I'm not educated enough to come up with an idea as visiting elders and isolated people Carrys it's own risks does anyone have any ideas?

{Ed002's Note - Players from many clubs (I think just about all PL sides) are giving money to AgeUK to help the elderly and to help with food banks. It would certainly help elderly neighbours if you could keep an eye open for them and help with any needs that they have.}

1.) 16 Mar 2020 13:59:33
Nice one mate.

2.) 16 Mar 2020 15:17:11
Nice one, Ed02.

3.) 16 Mar 2020 22:20:19

In my neighbourhood I know a couple of old ladies, living by themselves, my plan to knock on their door once or twice a week check if they ok and do their shopping etc . ideally talk to them through the door and leave their shopping by the door for them to pick it up . if you can do more that will be great, but I think looking after the lonely olderly is the minimum we should do (as in us younger, fitter men/ women)

14 Mar 2020 19:33:20
So a change from all the internet hysteria and scaremongering can anyone recommend a good film to watch or a tv series needs to be something the mrs will like too.

{Ed002's Note - Your wife is very hot on "Department S" and finds "Jason King" particularly groovy, if you know what I mean. She also told one of the other Eds really likes honey coated Pili nuts when drinking Doug Laming's Margarita.}

1.) 14 Mar 2020 20:18:50
Berg. Stranger (Netflix) and the boys (Amazon) are decent watches.

2.) 14 Mar 2020 22:11:30
Line of duty, Luther, peaky blinders,

3.) 14 Mar 2020 23:17:17
Passion of the Christ.

4.) 14 Mar 2020 21:42:01
Lmao ed hope your well mate.

{Ed002's Note - And you man.}

5.) 15 Mar 2020 08:32:21
Haha, after reading JK23's suggestion, I went looking on IMDB for a movie/ series called "Berg".

6.) 15 Mar 2020 09:18:11
If you like the stranger then you’ll like safe, by the same author. Also liar is a good watch and I recommend Bosch on Amazon- excellent series.

7.) 15 Mar 2020 09:43:49
Epic brilliant haha. LFC hopeful cheers mate. Currently watching liar. I’ll have a look at the others as well.

8.) 15 Mar 2020 15:52:44
Is Bosch the Harry Bosch detective series? The books are brilliant but never seen any films/ tv series.

9.) 15 Mar 2020 20:55:32
I agree with LFC Hopeful - The bosch tv series is pretty good.
If you are into more medieval style fare then The Last Kingdom series is also pretty good (based on books by Bernard Cornwell about saxon england in the time of Alfred the Great)

10.) 15 Mar 2020 23:14:33
Yes it is ND.

13 Mar 2020 11:47:01
UK football postponed your site is going to blow up Ed's good luck.

{Ed002's Note - This is not a surprise - what I hope is that everyone reads the answers to questions already posted and perhaps return to discussing transfers.}

1.) 13 Mar 2020 12:04:19
To be honest ED, think the site might be busy for the next day or two but then might go quiet until we get closer to the 4th April, that date or until a further announcement is made.

2.) 13 Mar 2020 12:56:13
Reds we’ve waited 30 years. We can wait another month, stay safe, get stocked up on those beers, bbqs and flares, there’s going to be a summer party and not a global pandemic can stop it.

3.) 13 Mar 2020 13:59:51
I'm not sure I can handle weeks/ months of everyone becoming a medical expert when they are just regurgitating what they see from Twitter and pass it off as gospel truth 😂 the amount of bull flying around I think we need to be careful we don't contract something from that as well.

4.) 13 Mar 2020 14:25:18
We will have our goalie back.

5.) 13 Mar 2020 14:16:11
A month is nothing, all good, we're still going to win the league. Sorry if that comes across as 'pig ignorant' Clive. But it's true and I'm fine with the decision overall. Just rubbish we won't be able to watch the footy but, I'll watch some legend games instead.

6.) 13 Mar 2020 15:29:22
I've just subscribed to the wwe network as I discovered they had all the old wrestling shows I watched as a kid on it. 1 month free trial, hopefully the football will be back by the time that runs out!

7.) 13 Mar 2020 16:56:40
That big lead we have in the PL right now, ain't looking too bad now, is it?

8.) 13 Mar 2020 17:19:48
Insight into the peculiar mind of the football supporter. A majority of the World population is looking for sanitizers, masks and canned foods (in empty supermarket market shelves) and here we are salivating about celebrations, titles and whatnot. 🤦‍♂️.

I know it's not liverpool but if the champions league gets cancelled next season due to the corona virus what will happen to citys ban (if it goes ahead) it's not thier fault there is no CL would the ban be two years regardless or two tournament's?

{Ed002's Note - They are appealing the ban and bans on tournaments are based in the next two seasons they qualify.

Gotta be honest I'm pretty disappointed at how people are prioritizing liverpool winning the league over the health of the nation even if they play behind closed doors fans (idiots) will gather this lock down we are in for up to 3 weeks that doesn't mean after 3 weeks it's all back to normal this is to draw the infection rate over a longer period of time so the NHS can cope with the patients. It's not IF you catch corona its WHEN. If you think Corona virus is going to be around for 12 months and social distancing will also be around for 12 months that's the more realistic view and the likelihood of next season even starting is slim to non in my opinion but that's just the way I see it.

{Ed002's Note - To be fair, whilst they are moaning and whining I don't think anyone is really looking to prioritise the Liverpool games over the health of the nation. We have had a couple of idiots who see the whole thing as a hoax, but generally folks understand and it is simply disappointment.}

Ed given the situation do you think the transfer window will take place obviously o have no idea just seems to be a bad idea given the climate and circumstances (corona not anything liverpool related)

{Ed002's Note - Not until the season is finished or a line drawn across and the season scratched. If the season can be completed or a decision taken by June 30, then I expect that the transfer window will see a temporary change of the 90 day rule to see it run from July 1 to August 31 (September 1 in England, Wales and Moldova). Work still continues with agents and clubs talking and in some cases negotiating, and in some cases agreeing transfers - so that is not a problem.}

I have an obvious one but aside from that go back to tell 50 cent to make the last season of power better
Then back to abduct hicks and Gillett before the bid on our beloved club and tell Rafa Gareth barry is not a patch on alonso then back in to watch a match with shankly as manager hopefully meet the great man and try to meet bruce lee keep going back to around 1900 have a nice pint with ed666 and keep going backwards see what's been before us then one big leap forward to see how it all pans out.
