Haaland gona score a bucket load.

Roro1892

{Ed025's Note - I really hope so roro.. ?

1.) 07 Aug 2022 18:45:33
Yes he will but so will Darvin and Salah.

2.) 07 Aug 2022 19:09:30
cant see us 'winning at a canter against a strangely passive West Ham, who barely threatened' when we play them.

3.) 07 Aug 2022 19:34:19
also City will beat Fulham 6-0 at Craven Cottage. We can't leave it to others, we need to match their results and then make sure we beat them ourselves. Havent done it in the leauge since 2019 either. Its a tough opponent, great battles ahead.

4.) 07 Aug 2022 21:14:45
jeez, the gloom and boomers are all out. One match and the world is ending. Does anyone remember the start that city got off to last year? give it a rest already. we will be fine.

5.) 08 Aug 2022 04:21:14
Yep, Matchday 1 in the books and let's just pack it in and give City the title.

Yesterday had Nunez started and what Diaz showed the game would have been completely different. Mitrovic went down for a weak penalty where he initiated the contact. I think after the last two performances, Klopp would have to justify not starting Nunez from now on. Nunez, Diaz and Salah are the new front three.

6.) 07 Aug 2022 21:56:43
It’s weird that an Everton supporter would want a City player to score lots of goals.

{Ed025's Note - I have had a bet that he will be top scorer mate..

7.) 08 Aug 2022 08:31:42
Not being funny but if he expects teams to roll over like West Ham he's in for a shock juries still out on all the love for him but if he takes the limelight off our boys he can have it, I just wonder when the goals dry up can he stand the media onslaught.

8.) 07 Aug 2022 21:03:48
Please tell us ‘the powers that be’ are reconsidering bringing in a top quality starting midfielder Eds? I mean finishing second is fine, but seems like there’s too much sentiment for our older players, and up against hungry young midfielders like yesterday, our intensity is lacking. Ironic given Lijnder’s new book.

{Ed002's Note - You know what Klopp has said.}

9.) 08 Aug 2022 09:06:01
He’s a very good player no doubt but in that City team he just look so out of place. They are all quick and illusive and he moves like Andy Carrol. He’s fast enough in a straight line but has the turning circle of an artic.
Don’t listen to the pundits either, they are clueless. He couldn’t get into the game yesterday for large parts and West Ham were hardly trying. The MOTM and ensuing ‘unplayable’ comments are just way overboard.
Look at the difference between Fulham and West Ham. Fulham we’re on us from minute one, never let us settle. West Ham sat deep and allowed City to play. If Fulham had done that to us we’d have won easily but they didn’t and fully deserved a point, maybe more. West Ham conceded the game and got what they deserved.
Let’s just wait until the season gets going it won’t be that easy for Haaland or City every week.

10.) 08 Aug 2022 09:14:06
Sadly Thunderbird for some fans it’s a case of celebrating a ten at the top doing well rather than your own team if it means stopping your neighbours being successful. Small club club mentality really. I wouldn’t like being in that situation myself.

11.) 08 Aug 2022 09:53:10
With the World Cup in the middle of the season, I don't think predictions can take their usual form. There will be many shocks and teams without too many international players getting extended mid-season breaks and team training.

12.) 08 Aug 2022 11:54:16
Whereas it’s silly to write the season off after one game, it’s ominous that City dispatched West Ham so easily away as it is a hard game by any reasonable definition, whilst we started by making the sort of mistake that cos us dearly last year by failing to win a game that we should be winning if we have any ambitions at winning the title, the thing that also was sitting was how poor and sluggish we looked at times.

Regrettably City are likely to win at a cantor if Haaland does that every week as you have to be 100% perfect to beat City over a season and quite frankly we’re not, and I suspect City will dominate the league for the next few years until he decides he’s had enough of rain, which will turn the premier league into a farmers league in the process.

Whereas I’m not writing the season off, it would take a serious injury crisis at City to prevent them from winning as they’d have battered Fulham whilst we toiled to get a point.

13.) 08 Aug 2022 12:20:57
Turn the premier league into a farmers league?

Harry what are you’re talking about.

14.) 08 Aug 2022 15:06:27
Dare to dream. Did u not follow football in the 90s? Of course ed025 wants Haaland to have a great season he's an Everton fan. City biggest challengers this season will most likely be his biggest rivals so of he wants Haaland to do well. Same way in the 90s when we were out of it I cheered on any striker who played for the team challenging man utd.
Haaland looked lethal yesterday but yes questions still remain and West ham were terrible. Nunez has looked lethal himself and still questions still remain for him also. Gona be a good battle.

15.) 08 Aug 2022 16:02:24
Disagree as Liverpool-MU is the biggest rivalry in english football. Everton fans are generally bitter their club is not Liverpool. So most of their time is spent being anti Liv rather than pro Eve. I mean in general and not Ed025 specifically. Its a sad state to be in as football fans.

16.) 08 Aug 2022 18:52:07
I still think we win the league this season.
For that reason Harry, the Refs gifted it to them last season mate.
It’s bad for the premier league to see that shambles parade outside the Etihad celebrating the trophy, nobody hates them, nobody supports them. It’s like nobody is winning the league.
They won’t get the false decisions and dodgy handballs this season because like you said, the Refs are turning it into the Uber Eats League and everyone’s turning their attention to the UCL (even City)

Alright eds and reds, have a question. Do football clubs get money from the sales of shirts? I thought they did but after speaking to some friends I've heard it's actually a very small percentage of clubs that get money from shirt sales? Which makes liverpools deal with Nike more appealing.

Roro1892

{Ed025's Note - that would depend on the volume sold roro mate..

1.) 14 Jun 2021 19:32:34
Cheers Ed mate. How u been recently mate? All good I hope bro.

{Ed025's Note - no too bad thanks roro mate...thanks for asking..

2.) 14 Jun 2021 19:34:13
As far as I am away only a small handful of sides have an agreement like ours. Initially £30m plus 20% of sales. Equates to around £70m total. The more Nike sell the more we make it really comes down to success on the pitch. If we are successful sales will automatically increase. We could also do with Nike upping their game as well.

3.) 14 Jun 2021 21:57:25
I’m pretty sure standard deals clubs make nothing apart from what is sold at the club shops which makes stories about players paying their transfer fees in shirt sales nonsense.
Liverpools current deal with Nike is different, they took a much smaller base figure for a cut of the profit, with C.V. and the poor season we’ve just had that might not be the best decision.

4.) 14 Jun 2021 19:45:39
That's good to hear Ed, I was worrying about u after Ancelotti left, know you Evertonains had your hopes on him, but as I told my bro all year I never seen any improvement.
Cheers Mark mate, my friends were saying the same. Seems great deal we have touched for although I wouldn't spend 100 hock on a shirt.

16 Oct 2018 00:46:57
Alright eds, any interest from us in Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella?

Roro1892

{Ed001's Note - he has come out publicly and said he would like to join us, hence the reported interest. He has been monitored but we have shown no signs of actually doing any more, as of yet, than keeping an eye on his progress.}

1.) 16 Oct 2018 09:19:26
Is he any good Ed?

{Ed001's Note - very highly rated mate, not seen anything of him yet to judge him sorry.}

2.) 16 Oct 2018 12:02:05
Cheers ed.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

21 May 2022 22:20:34
Get the job done against wolves and see how things go. Tomorrow could be interesting. c'mon liverpool and villa.

Roro1892

1.) 21 May 2022 22:29:44
My home county of Wexford pulled out a win they weren't supposed to get in the hurling today to remain in the All Ireland Hurling Championship. Team captain Lee Chin did pretty much a full Gerrard on things in the 2nd half.

Hoping it's a good omen.

2.) 22 May 2022 00:29:24
Was great to see! Watchin chin years now this been coming!

3.) 22 May 2022 00:44:36
For Villa, it's all about keeping the game tight early doors. If you concede to City in the first half they'll just strangle the game and you're screwed. If you can keep them waiting until the 60th minute then they start to crumble a bit, they don't have the fortitude in those scenarios that we have. We'll probably know very early into the match which way it's potentially going to go.

4.) 22 May 2022 01:00:14
All we can do is our job and hope for the best. At least we’re still in it, shame it’s not in our hands, at least we know Gerrard will want to give city a game.

5.) 22 May 2022 01:42:12
City never, ever sweat. The only game I remember is the Kompany worldy game.

Every time I watch them they score in the first fifteen minutes, sometimes in multiples. Very frustrating.

No expectations for tomorrow, but hope.

6.) 22 May 2022 04:42:52
Mane to score more than one goal is worth a tenner today.

7.) 22 May 2022 05:46:55
Then your not a believer American and you should be after 5 years of Klopp.

8.) 22 May 2022 06:03:49
Whatever the outcome of the games today a heartfelt thank you to the club and players for providing brilliant, heart stopping entertainment this season and for being particularly relentless since the start of the year. Great to be a fan!

9.) 22 May 2022 07:48:18
AW to add to that, if Villa can keep it tight and even take the lead around 60 mins then City will start panicking esp if we are beating Wolves. Their fans get antsy and that filters into the team on the pitch. We got to believe it can be done till the end. Let’s go!

10.) 22 May 2022 08:16:50
I think if villa put them under pressure from the start there’s a chance. I think if villa dig in and try to keep them out it’s all over. That’s been the problem for me all season. Teams afraid to attack them. It’s time for coutinho to earn back a little goodwill with the club.

11.) 22 May 2022 09:59:28
I agree with WDW.
I've no nerves at all about today because I don't think City will 'slip' up but we could still win the League.
I'm saving my nerves for next Saturday.

12.) 22 May 2022 10:12:13
Not one to put a jinx on things (I’m touching wood at the moment - wood originating from a tree that is! Lol) but I have been saying for the last 3 months that we will win the quadruple. I told all my mates that we would go to penalty shoot outs on both carabao cup and fa cup and win both, i even said that we would draw against spurs but that city would drop
Points to West Ham and it would go down to the the last day, and I believe that city will draw today. I even said mahrez would miss his penalty against west hame just before he took it, I predicted Allison to save mount’s penalty in the fa cup just before he took it, so so far, everything has happened as I believed it would. So come you reds, you have already done us super proud now make us unbelievably proud and win it all!

13.) 22 May 2022 11:50:38
Absolutely zero chance of City losing or even drawing. This is their cup final, their season finale. They will put out their best team and play until their legs fall off. Villa have very little to bust their balls for except their manager’s personal affiliation. If it’s less than 4-0 to Man City I’ll be astounded. If they draw or lose I’ll happily change my username to CluelessNobhead.

That was Evertons best display of the season last night.

2.) 14 Apr 2022 22:27:24

Roro1892

1.) 14 Apr 2022 20:45:23
Here’s some stats that sum up being an LFC fan mate.

For the first time in the club's history, Liverpool have reached the semi-final of the League Cup (obviously won it), FA Cup and European Cup/ Champions League in the same season.

Jürgen Klopp’s European record at Liverpool:

15/ 16 - Europa League final

17/ 18 - Champions League final

18/ 19 - Champions League winners

19/ 20 - Champions League last-16

20/ 21 - Champions League quarter finals

21/ 22 - Champions League semi finals.

2.) 14 Apr 2022 21:04:01
Football good times come and go mate. I remember the 90s, wasn't great for large parts of that decade watching r rivals challenge for everything.
Now r time, not last for ever but I will enjoy it while it lasts my friend.

3.) 14 Apr 2022 21:23:32
Amazing.

4.) 15 Apr 2022 08:36:24
Clearly Klopp loves a semi.

5.) 16 Apr 2022 09:11:33
It's always good being a Liverpool supporter. Success is just a nice addition.

02 Dec 2021 12:22:58
Can't remember a time when we had so many players in great form. Whole team is playing really well atm.

01 Dec 2021 13:03:47
Any reason why the matches tonight are 20:15 KO?

Roro1892

{Ed002's Note - It is how Amazon prime games are scheduled.}

1.) 01 Dec 2021 15:13:34
Amazon? Gahhhh.

2.) 01 Dec 2021 15:26:21
And the streaming on Prime wasn't the best - very juddery within both matches!

3.) 01 Dec 2021 17:04:15
I never had a problem with any of the Amazon games last year, I'm just glad I get to watch a game on the big Tele at home as I don't have sky/ BT! The wife will finally know what it's like to be married to a football fan!

4.) 01 Dec 2021 17:04:34
I thought it was fine if you watch it on the smart TV app, rather than handheld device casted.

5.) 01 Dec 2021 18:47:49
How much does the match cost?

6.) 01 Dec 2021 19:03:53
It's free if you have prime.

7.) 01 Dec 2021 19:07:03
It's available without charge if you have a Prime subscription.
If you don't have Prime, it's possible to take a 1 month free trial.

8.) 01 Dec 2021 19:45:46
AHH happy days, thought I had to pay on top.

This is nothing new in football, yes I don't agree with it but it's happened for years. Only difference now is we have a manager capable of turning players heads. Years ago we made Gerrard do it for us.

Refs theses days hide behind VAR, it's made the overall standard even worse. My main problem with VAR is that when a goal goes in, my first thought is that to celebrate, its to just stand there in worry until the goal is finally given. Like u say, can take a mistake from the ref or assistants but not from someone sitting in a TV studio 400mils away.

Matip over Gomez for me any day. Gomez hasn't been in form in years and Maria has arguably been our best centre back. Not even a debate for me on this one. Gomez 4th choice when all fit.
