{Ed002's Note - I have told you where there have been discussions.}

Coutinho is apparently in talks with 5 PL clubs and will make a return to England by the weekend, are we one of those?

Hopefully is sore back doesn’t flare up and effect his medical and hope to god he’s kicked away from our door if him and his agent come Lookin!

I hope so. Yes he left under a cloud. Time to come back and proves us all wrong. There is still a player in him.

Sounds like Villa are front runners for him. I know we've proven we were better without him but with the way things are for us at the moment I would rather him than no-one ro join in January.

Would make sense on loan for us at the moment.

Coutinho on loan with option/ obligation to buy and keita going the other way wouldn't be a bad shout. Highly unlikely tho.

I D take him back. Loved his song.

No thanks.

{Ed025's Note - im with you mikey..

05 Jan 2022 17:44:24
I think reality and record has proved, we don't do deals for the sake of it no first team player will join this window.

No point looking at the bottom of the barrel for deals that lfc just don't do.

It'll be another transfer window were we get by with what we have.

A loan till end of the season with a option to buy wouldn't make me sick. but then wouldn't make me sick if we didn't. But would make me sick to see him back in prem to a rival. Well documented how he left us but. We all do things in life with retrospect we wouldn't of done.

He was one of my favourite ever players but I just think our time with him is done, I'd take him back just because I liked him!

A move to Villa would probably be best for him working for a manager who knows how to make him tick, would hate to see him at Arsenal/ West Ham/ Spurs! Would also be sad to see him move to Newcastle where you know it's just about the money. Let's see what happens.

Any chance we can swap Keita with Martin Braithwaite instead. Literally anyone. Please.

Ed 025.you say you agree with Mikey but would you take him at Everton? Different circumstances I know just your thoughts.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im not his biggest fan to be honest andy and we need players who give their all in our situation, and i dont think thats couts bag mate..

05 Jan 2022 18:36:14
I’d rather we went for Dembele to be honest, both have bad injury records but Dembele is far younger and a better fit for us.

Also who is the club that has offered £7 million for Phillips? Apparently an unnamed prem team and info Ed’s?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I have explained where there is interest.}

05 Jan 2022 20:00:42
It would make literally no sense signing him. He is too slow and lightweight to play up front and he would be completely ineffective in our midfield set up as he’s not what you’d describe as hard working and plainly isn’t a centre midfielder, as Barcelona found out to their considerable expense. He’s yesterdays man and we shouldn’t entertain his return.

Ed25 totally agree pal, a luxury player.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - yeah MR, to be honest i would think he would only be a squad player for the pool, i dont see him being much of a presser and klopp doesn,t suffer fools gladly mate..

05 Jan 2022 20:27:42
Would take him back no problem. I wonder if we could sign him and stagger payments over 3 years, we would be his number 1 choice and he would knuckle down and try to regain his career. Him and Salah are great together as well compliment each other’s game. We need someone that’s all I know.

people are dreaming if they think Coutinho will make any difference to our team. last time I saw him play, he looked unfit. If we did sign him, I hope it's on low wages with the intention that he spends the rest of the season training and getting his condition up so that he may be an older version of harry wilson that we could use in spurts next season.

According to sky sports, the daily express is saying that Real Madrid are going to bid £41m to wrap up a deal for mbappe…. surely that can’t be true? If it is, why don’t we do an Arsenal and bid £41m and 1p for him? For that price, he would be bargain of the century! Lol.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - The player wants to move to Real Madrid.}

05 Jan 2022 08:32:19
Plus the 25 billion per week for his wages and the millions for his agent too I guess?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed077's Note - also wouldn't Robert Lewandowski on a "free" from Dortmund to Bayern at his peak leading them to a treble be just as good if not better bargain deal??

05 Jan 2022 08:33:16
Even if he wanted to come to us and he only cost 41m we still couldn’t afford him!

05 Jan 2022 09:58:15
With any luck it will kill off that stupid “Mbappe to Liverpool” stuff that goes around.

05 Jan 2022 11:18:18
£41 million for Mbappe? Which leg does that buy?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed077's Note - bootleg??

05 Jan 2022 11:56:43
It would have to be Ed, a complete jarg version.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed077's Note - probably.

05 Jan 2022 14:30:35
Flash the red, you do know he's free in the summer🤔.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2022 17:57:14
Once again, it depends what you mean by “free” doesn’t it?

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jan 2022 20:01:28
Bootleg Mbappe? Is that Kevin Mbappe?

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jan 2022 10:43:48
Mbappe might be free in the summer, but his signing on fee won't. And neither will his wages.
I'd love to see him in a red shirt, but unless he was going to accept a realistic wage by our standards (which he won't) then it's just wishful thinking.
