Little list from what I can find for anyone interested.

Arnaut danjuma seems we had a lot of interest even when he left Bournemouth

Lewandoski nothing in the media, just a decent shout from akira who's got a few right so far.

Cody gakpo again akira shout with some media outlets suggesting it's a shout.

Gnabry media suggested a swap deal with mane, but media have moved on

Dembele, klopp is keen

Traore again all has gone cold but wouldn't be surprised if he returns from barca.

Sarr seems dead in the water

Nunez again nothing really concrete but when seagulls circle :)

Bowen had a long interest from media which has never gone away

Harvey barnes old school rumour

Joa felix once upon a time he liked a tweet and was nailed on for a firmino replacement.

Raheem sterling 2 + 2 equals 26 or something.

Chiesa IF ONLY but the rumours were once there, simular to martinez.

My own little outsider timo Werner looks like Chelsea might sell and could klopp get him going again.

Feel free to add just a few I've remembered and looked at through media rumours.

Can see a mad one out of nowhere tbf one of them curve balls that you just never see coming.

Nkunku is out there and could fit the bill. Good season.

Moussa Diaby is pacy tricky customer. The kind klopp likes.

Saka has been mentioned in the past and he has serious potential in my eyes. Would be tough to get out of arsenal but maybe not impossible.

Raphina, possibly Barcelona bound but linked in the past.

I want Nunez myself but let's see how the wind blows.

2.) 31 May 2022 08:01:14
Hope we go nowhere near Raphina, sulky Richarlson type, can't stand him, not as good as Bowen, Nunez is the one all day for me, if only he came in i'd be happy, he would be that good.

3.) 31 May 2022 08:26:40
Sangare another option.

Antony linked but not sure if there is interest.

4.) 31 May 2022 08:49:11
Raphinha is bang average. Well said Lancaster. He's not even the best winger at Leeds.

I want Lewandowski but the reality is he will probably go to Barcelona and we'll sign Dembele on a free so more money can be poured into a major signing in midfield.

The fact we were in the race for Tchouameni at €80-100m should tell everyone that we're prepared to go big on the right player for our midfield.

{Ed001's Note - in what world is Raphinha not the best winger at Leeds? He is definitely not bang average. He had a poor season thanks to the interference of his idiot agent Deco, but he is an excellent player.}

5.) 31 May 2022 08:54:04
I’m excited to see whatever player (s) we get in. Preferably an unknown that klopp can work wonders with. A real gem. Considering how Elliot started last season, seeing him back in form would be absolutely massive. I thought he was outstanding and were he fit all season could only have helped our league chances. Everyone else wants Nunez so therefore I want nunez too. I only saw him play quite well against us in the cl. Didn’t see him elsewhere.

6.) 31 May 2022 10:22:34
I think getting Dembele on a free is the best piece of business we can do that gives no excuse for us to then splash the cash in midfield.

7.) 31 May 2022 10:29:40
Ed001, what do you think of Dembele, if he joins? It’s frustrating seeing these supremely talented guys not having the right attitude, but seemed like he matured a lot the past year?

{Ed001's Note - he has got a worrying past, doing midnight flits and leaving his apartment behind absolutely trashed, plus a terrible injury history. Yes he has played well this season, but is that just simply the Darren Anderton thing of turning up for a season when his contract is running out so he can get a new deal or move? Maybe he has matured, but I would still prefer to look elsewhere, though he is extremely talented.}

8.) 31 May 2022 11:04:27
In other words a massive gamble that could end up causing disruption.
Let chelsea buy him.

This reminds me of that other talented but idotic player we once had, Mario B - where is he again now?

9.) 31 May 2022 11:05:10
Just don't rate him Ed001. He had 84 non-penalty shots last season and managed 7 goals. His 4 in 4 penalty record papered over the fact that he is completely erratic in the final third shooting from silly positions when a better option was on. Last thing we need is a forward who needs 12 shots per goal.

Raphinha is the Brazilian Grealish. Flatters to deceive. Put him in a team where it isn't all about him shooting from anywhere and everywhere and he'll be shown up as the painfully average player he is. Harrison is a better player in my opinion and i wouldn't go near him either as he's too inconsistent.

Only my opinion of course, i just wouldn't touch him.

{Ed001's Note - I don't care about his stats. They tell you nothing about him and he is nothing like Grealish.}

10.) 31 May 2022 11:21:30
KopEnd did you seriously say that “getting Dembele on a free is the best piece of business we can do”?

LMFAO in what way? He’s got congenital injury issues that are only going to get worse. His hammies are done. And once you keep getting hamstring injuries repeatedly, then your tendons are next. That’s not even going into his poor attitude and lack of professionalism.

He’s not changed one bit, he is still the last in to training and the first out and takes random sick days off citing various “ailments”, if he was a horse they’d have taken him to the knackers yard years ago. He’s like a hybrid of Balotelli’s poor attitude with Daniel Sturridge’s body.

11.) 31 May 2022 11:29:02
The stats are merely support to my argument that he tries to do too much himself. I've watched him about 10 times this season and the amount of shots he's smashed into a crowd of players or miles over the bar is ridiculous. Sometimes he needs to just move the ball on and be more patient. He comes across as a bit of a diva who needs to be the hero and the big fish (hence the Grealish comparison; another example is Zaha) . I just don't like that in a player. I'm not saying he's similar to Grealish as a player, but i think like Grealish and Zaha he will flop at a big club. I think he stands out in highlights because everything goes through him, but what Match of the Day don't show are the 10 times he made the wrong decision.

Maybe he just had a bad season like you said in your initial reply. I'd be hesitant if we signed him. If we want to buy Prem proven, Bowen is streets ahead.

12.) 31 May 2022 11:37:00
VVVV, i agree with you fully regarding Dembele. I don't think one half decent season makes up for the last 3 where he's let everyone down repeatedly.

If Klopp insists on signing him, i just hope the better culture we have around the club (guys like Milner, Hendo etc) can knock any bad habits out of him. He's so talented but it means nothing if you're not committed to the cause on and off the pitch.

13.) 31 May 2022 14:54:14
MK I'm with you on Raphina, not all that and the Arsenal game put me right off him, having to be dragged away by his team mates to save him getting sent off, all i could see in his face was Richarlson, Dembele we need to learn from Keita that turds can't be polished.

14.) 31 May 2022 19:30:45
Find some of these comments difficult to read. Raphinha has been absolutely quality when I’ve watched him play and has been, imo, Leeds best player this season.

Wouldn’t be my choice to replace mane but would be a class Salah replacement.

{Ed002's Note - I would forget Raphina, he is close to moving elsewhere.}

Aimed at the fan.

Do you reckon you / others have the patients for a transition year.

Does klopp get another not so great season.

Just interested in people's responses.
Personally feel we don't have a chance at winning the prem, top 6 and uefa Cup would be amazing in my opinion a top four finish only is progress.

Window isn't shut and I'm excited but we are always going to buy from the middle shelf and with that I feel takes a little time.

MegAlanna

1.) 04 Aug 2023 12:17:04
I think its all down to a bit of luck, If our first choice 11 can stay fit we have a great chance as we will score goals and lots of them. On the having a transition season as long as you can see progress it can be got away with, I don't see an issue with buying from the middle shelf as a team can be greater than the sum of its parts so it depends how everyone gels. But here is to another season YNWA.

2.) 04 Aug 2023 12:26:48
If it was one transition year yes. But as it stands we're at least three first team players away from where we need to be, which means we need to sign a minimum of three first team players next year, which them means another transition the year after.

All the while age is creeping up on Salah and VVD, which means more replacements and more transition. So we could be in a constant loop of underwhelming 'transitional' seasons for years. Just like every single season under FSG before Klopp came in.

3.) 04 Aug 2023 12:40:59
Lose patience? I was there for Christian poulsen so I’ve survived way worse. This rebuild will of course see a transition period and that being a season so be it. Everyone in the club have deserved another season before we scream for heads etc. if we persist with this stupid system throughout the season with no progress or sniff of success then I’ll be disappointed. But I will always be patient because there is only one team for me and I’ll support the team in bad times and good times. You’ll never walk alone and all that.

4.) 04 Aug 2023 12:43:31
Pure doom and gloom.
I expect us to finish top 2.
We need a DM and a left sided CB but I expect the club will have them in place soon.
Just hope we don’t get a load of injuries again, the squad is starting to look exciting and full of energy.

5.) 04 Aug 2023 12:46:29
I’m reply mate.

As frustrating as a transition (non challenging) season might be LFC fans waited 30 years for a league title so as much as it might look like fans can be petulant children (including myself) it all stems from frustration from going from the best club in the world (2018-20) and near quadruple to no longer challenging again in the space of a couple of seasons.

I really fear for the club when Klopp does leave. That’s not me saying he’s blameless but I just don’t see who fills his shoes.

Might sound crazy but Europa league I believe is easier to win that getting top 4. But I do believe it’s top 5 that get CL this season so if we don’t qualify for next seasons CL it’s safe to say it’s been a failure of a season as that should be the bare minimum target.

6.) 04 Aug 2023 14:10:16
Mikey, you have to aim higher. We will win. ??.

7.) 04 Aug 2023 14:17:03
I don't mind either way. I think even if we get Lavia (or similar) and a CB, that finishing top 4 will be a great achievement given the amount of player movement.

23 Jun 2022 09:20:23
So obviously at which stage will we meet bayern in the champions league : (.

MegAlanna

1.) 23 Jun 2022 10:30:44
The semi final. Alison to save a Mane penalty and Mo to score winner.

Then we beat Real Madrid in the final 4:2.

2.) 23 Jun 2022 10:44:00
Looking at our record against Real lately Id be happy to avoid them at all costs.

3.) 23 Jun 2022 10:49:53
am with you JK23, don't know why anyone would want to meet madrid. No matther how well we play they still win!

4.) 23 Jun 2022 12:17:11
I never want to see Madrid again!

5.) 23 Jun 2022 13:02:29
Us v Madrid is becoming the Hendry v White of football.

6.) 23 Jun 2022 13:06:49
JK23 and Malak123 and Longthing76 so if we see them again in the CL next season, should we then forfeit the game? Look, If we see them again, we get after them like we always do hoping we can put things right. If we keep banging on that dam surely enuff, the dam will break. It only takes one to break the hold they seem to have over us.

7.) 23 Jun 2022 13:42:48
We've tanked them in 2 CL finals and came away with zip. It's a head scratcher alright.

8.) 23 Jun 2022 14:59:37
Saying I’d prefer to avoid them clearly means I’m saying we forfeit the game in some peoples opinions.

But In mine it just means what it says on the tin. I’d prefer to avoid them over wishing to play them.

9.) 23 Jun 2022 16:01:18
3rd time lucky maybe.

13 Jun 2022 14:56:40
Quite please with the Nat situation had a few rocky moments at Bournemouth at the start.

Be good to see how he performs next season if a loan is sorted forvthe prem.

MegAlanna

1.) 13 Jun 2022 20:13:07
Me too. Looks like he'll be going back to Bournemouth. Hopefully has time to settle and show his worth so we either keep him at the end of the season to replace Matip in the squad or his stock should be high to protect his value.

Win-win.

2.) 13 Jun 2022 20:44:09
Spot on, Zed. I think this will be Matip’s final season so it is only normal that Phillips and Gomez become his successors in the squad, if you like. Also, Phillips will get valuable experience playing every week in the PL this season. Win-Win, for sure.

3.) 13 Jun 2022 21:04:40
Phillips and Gomez might want regular first team football though.

4.) 13 Jun 2022 23:10:28
@Rigsby, that’s what Nat will get - in the PL too - if we loan hi. To Bournemouth.

5.) 14 Jun 2022 14:06:35
But not with us, WDW.
Even if we keep him and get rid of Matip he's not going to play instead of Konate is he? I don't think Gomez will either.

08 May 2022 00:04:09
Do you drop salah?

Understand their is massive arguments for not and really not questioning his importance.

Just feel is the untouchable, in need of a minute.

MegAlanna

1.) 08 May 2022 00:36:42
The guy is only human up until afcon he was a relentless beast then heartache in final vs senegal plus lots of extra miles in legs then world Cup playoff heartache against senegal not to mention on going speculation around his future I am not surprised he has dropped off . I am of the opinion we have attacking depth now and mixing things up would benefit big names or not .

2.) 08 May 2022 01:18:04
Why would you drop Salah? He assisted against City, 2 against Man utd, another Assist against Everton, he is still contributing massively. Maybe he is levelling out a little but must start against Villa.

3.) 08 May 2022 04:45:37
We don’t have a spare right winger.

{Ed001's Note - Jota, Mane and Elliott can all play right wing.}

4.) 08 May 2022 05:37:37
Jota is uselss everywhere bar inside the 6 yard box. Can’t take on a man nor has the trickery or drinking ability to beat someone.
Mane is excellent on the right but he is even more important through the middle
That leaves us Elliot. For me he has to play in the midfield.
Is it too much to ask for a right winger in the module of Luis Diaz?

5.) 08 May 2022 06:44:12
Honestly think people are being way too harsh on salah he is still contributing to the team hugely in terms of space being created for other players to operate. People seriously need to stop questioning his attitude I'm seeing it more and more and its nothing short of a joke. He's a winger not a goalscorer as it just happens he gets goals because he's just that good. Maybe it's only right that the rest of the team are now chipping in and winning games?

6.) 08 May 2022 06:51:08
I would rest Salah for Villa not even have him on the bench then bring him back for the FA Cup final against Chelsea.

As some have said, he's played a lot of football without any real break but had a lot of mental/ emotional stress too. He played 7 games in 26 days (4 of which went to ET and/ or pens) which ended with a shoot-out loss in the final. He's also been playing 1 game every 3-4 days for the entire season but since the AFCON, I think he's only not started 1 game but still came on as a sub.

Given that Villa aren't fighting for anything and given that we do have more important games coming up like Chelsea in the FA Cup final and Real Madrid in the Champions League final, I think resting him against Villa shouldn't be a problem.

7.) 08 May 2022 07:13:43
T Time I have been down on Salah and I agree his relentless running makes space for others and tracking back but he doesn't seem to be able to beat a defender lately is it due to tiredness? Maybe time for rest but who do we play on the right wing. I must say he is a legend for this club. have a rest and come back for the finals Mo.

8.) 08 May 2022 08:09:08
I firmly believe the contract saga has taken a toll on Salah @Thaiboy. Too much noise and too many speculation has affected his on field performance.
The club should have acted a bit more mature.
If the club cannot afford his wages then they should have been absolutely clear and made provision for it.

9.) 08 May 2022 08:48:25
Acted more mature how Harry? You don't half spout some b*llox.

10.) 08 May 2022 09:06:11
At the moment Salah is a liability, his contract situation, his agent, his form and he doesn't know how to handle himself professionally. I mean who goes posting on twitter that they want revenge and winding up the opposition for the champions league final. Firstly, they can pin that up on their dressing room wall and secondly if he doesn't score or play well he will look like it got to him etc. Klopp must be pulling his hair out trying to keep this prima donna happy. Its why he will never be a fans favourite.

11.) 08 May 2022 09:06:32
Jota’s passing was better than Salah’s last night. Salah without goals is not Salah. Plus he keeps getting in the way.
I cannot wait for Bobby to be fit and give Mane Diaz a baller to play off.
Or if you’re going to insist on playing Salah, give him Origi to play off like in the Everton game.
Spurs played anti-football. It was horrific. Real will play the same way, so may help in the long run.

12.) 08 May 2022 09:26:21
Get off Salahs back, watch him bag a brace on Tuesday.

13.) 08 May 2022 09:34:09
TT you obviously know significantly more about Mo's negotiations than your average fan. In what way should the club have acted with more maturity. As if the club are going to come out and announce to the world that they cannot afford Mo's salary. Whose to say they not made provision.

{Ed001's Note - just ignore him, he hasn't a clue what he is talking about and his ignorance is pointless to be allowed to be spread. His lies should have been deleted.}

14.) 08 May 2022 09:38:44
It's constant and very steady, OMM.

15.) 08 May 2022 09:40:58
Waffling around as usual, Harry. Like OMM said, act mature as in how? Just give him whatever he wants cos his agent made a fool of himself or just cos Salah wants stupid wages? Oh please, enlighten us from your fountain of wisdom on what the club could have done on a more mature level here? I’ll wait… NOT.

16.) 08 May 2022 16:30:30
I loved Salah tracking back to weil inside our half when Spurs broke on us late night in the game last night.

17 Apr 2022 09:19:07
So Mane ❤

Does he get a contract, does he want huge money.

Seems their is no fuss, just knuckles down and although had a drop off just continues to get it done.

MegAlanna

1.) 17 Apr 2022 10:37:12
I think he's perked up a lot this season. Personally I think not playing in front of crowds affected him. Obviously he's not quite the player of 2-3 years ago but still he's having a very good season.

2.) 17 Apr 2022 11:15:31
He has plenty of value being played in the center, I’m not convinced he can play as a top, top level winger anymore as I think he has lost a bit of pace. If his salary demands aren’t excessive I’d keep him. Especially as Salah looks likely to leave and Firmino could potentially go to. However the team transitions it should be done bit by bit, if Mane, Salah and Bobby all left within a short time of one another I think it would knock us back considerably.

3.) 17 Apr 2022 11:28:49
Don’t forget mane had long C.V. as well which definitely affected him.

4.) 17 Apr 2022 12:44:40
Since moving to the number 9 role. Sadio Mane has SIX goals in SEVEN games as Liverpool's centre-forward.

Mane’s the 12th highest paid player at the club. If wanting a lot more money was one of his priorities I’m sure he would have discussed it over the last 6 years he’s been here. The guy just seems to want to pLay football.

For me getting him to sign a new contract is a must.

Jurgen Klopp on Sadio Mane:

He is a machine. What he has done for this club and continues to do puts him in the bracket of 'legend'. For LFC and Senegal he is playing to his highest level possible.

It was his 30th birthday on the day of the game [City] and he still looks as fresh and vibrant as when he joined this club as a younger professional.

What's exciting is how he is getting better and stronger. When you see how he looks after himself and his commitment to his profession, turning 30 for him really is only a number.

5.) 17 Apr 2022 20:18:38
I hope we keep Sadio esp since the CF position seeks to stitching right now. He latentie be as Lacey as he once was BUT still has pace to trouble CB’s fir days. At his age right now, he still has a lot in the tank and has NEVER lost his passion, tenacity and desire to be the best.

Thing with kone is he'd take the last NHG spot which would leave us looking for a left footed cb u21 or HG

personally reckon gravenberch as he's Classed as u21. Unless a timi or someone moves on.

I can see a alvarez type from ajax someone a little more experienced who can play left cb.

Might not be him but that type as apposed to a centreback unless colwill becomes available.

Guessing off course.

A big horrible physical one, lavia is 19 so is a work in progress will need time and will have mistakes in him.

Obviously everyone is just concerned due to previous windows and being left short in areas. (midfield)

I don't think anyone that is signed now will start anyway.

But we have consistently gone into campaigns short and it's constantly back fired.
A big Madrid player would be worth the wait but we're just not that savy.

Think the Saudi dynamic has changed the market, which has slowed everything down whilst teams see if they can offload players for better money.

I also don't think we're gona have a rebuild at all, 2 mids maybe a centreback, net spend of about 40 million.

Not complaining just don't see matip/ gomez/ thiago going, trent will still play rightback, fabs will start with stefan coming in.

MegAlanna

{Ed002's Note - It has not slowed anything down - and for some sales it has sped it up.}
