Hi ed002

Tried a search but is there any truth in Liverpools interesti n signing KV Oostende's 22-year-old midfielder Kenny Rocha Santos

Thanks!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Kenny Rocha Santos (CM) I really don't know if Liverpool have any interest but it would be as cover only - he was average at St Etienne and again at Nancy. He has dropped down to play for a poor team in Belgium. Makes no sense.}

Hi Ed002

Are Liverpool actively trying to sign somebody this window or is the summer more likely?

Thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - The summer is more likely unless a desired target becomes available - then something may happen.}

City's squad is going to mean they come first most of the time, which is why our fewer and cheaper purchases need to be perfectly selected.
Do the ed's know anything about Ox and his availability? Would he be sold now if a decent offer came in?

Sign someone with what exactly?
We’ve no f#%#%#% money Ed has told us plenty of times!
We all want new toys but no Mon no fun!

Dembele wow available isn’t he Ed? And the interest is there as you say.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Ousmane Dembele (LW/RW/F) Klopp's interest does not seem to go away but the attraction will be that he is a Free Agent although his preference is likely to be elsewhere unless Salah or Mane were to leave. He will be a Free Agent in the summer - Barcelona may try again with a new contract or a January sale but his agent is offering him around now - looking for a large signing on package from the usual suspects. Barcelona may spring a surprise in January and look to see if something could be done with potential targets at Juventus or Milan to reduce the price although Juve may look to an agreement to take him as a Free Agent in the summer. They may also look to an exchange with Chelsea for Rudiger but the Chelsea interest is elsewhere rather than Dembele. With Sancho arriving it is hard to see interest from Manchester United although they have been approached. PSG are seeking a French player still but have a preferred option as a Mbappe replacement. A discussion has been held with Newcastle. I suspect he will sign a new contract but the arrival of others may need to be taken in to account first. Injury concerns, inconsistent form and high wages must be considered by any potential buyers.}

Hhmm ok Ed thank you fir the info again. As ever it seems we have our lot for the season unless Mane Salah and the like leave. Let a gets behind the players we’ve got and see where it takes us.

Would anyone be that shocked if we actually sell Salah and wrap up free agent dembele? No sarcasm intended its something I can see our money men going for.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Jan 2022 22:29:44
I wouldn’t be shocked if we sold Salah. Personally I don’t think it would be the end of the world, although I do accept that’s not a view held by everybody.

I would be surprised if Dembele was the replacement. He showed potential a couple of years or so back but hasn’t progressed as far as I can see.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Jan 2022 22:43:02
So where do you think our goals would come from? Mane and jota are too inconsistent, although jota probably will score more goals than mane, and we can’t rely on our midfield to score goals. If we sell salah, only a player like mbappe or Harland should be brought in if you ask me…. a younger player who has the ability to score as many goals as salah.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2022 01:27:06
Mbappe or Haaland would likely want wages far in excess of what Salah wants to renew 😂.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2022 07:06:25
Fuser, laughably, even comedy footballer Ousmane Dembele wants more than Salah.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2022 08:10:30
WDW so who would replace salahs goals if its not the end of the world?

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2022 09:07:05
Who replaced Rush's goals?

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2022 09:24:13
Everyone thinks the replacement for Salah will be willing to play for peanuts! To replace Salah with anything NEAR a like for like signing the new player would also be looking for massive wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2022 11:43:58
In all fairness and I’m just playing devils advocate here. All of Mbappe, Vlahovic and Dembele are much younger players.

The rags are saying 25mill bid likely for Toni Kroos, at 32 years old from Liverpool, sure they have two tombola and just take a name and figure from each one.

Seems like the most ridiculous link so far this window. We need more legs, not less.

Definitely silly season.

Any truth to the rumours about our interest in Federico Valverde?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Federico Valverde (CM) Real Madrid are not looking to sell the player, previously of interest to Liverpool and Manchester United, as they expect him to settle in as a regular as Modric and Kroos are coming to te edn of their RM careers. Real Madrid are are aware Bayern Munich see him as an option to replace Tolisso - but it would take a huge offer for that to happen. Manchester City have sent scouts to look at him as they look to add to their Central Midfield options. Liverpool interest will have shifted to more financially viable targets and Manchester United have clear alternate targets in mind.}

With Newcastle reportedly paying Chris Woods' £25m release clause, any chance they're interested in Origi?!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I would not expect Origi to be sold this month.}

12 Jan 2022 13:11:22
While we might be signing a striker this window to cover the Alcon, we would surely be fools to let 1 of our 4 recognised ones depart. Those calling for Origi to depart this window are deluded.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Jan 2022 14:32:05
Origi is nvr fit plays one misses then he’s hardly reliable!

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2022 15:11:29
Was more tongue in cheek for all you sensible Sally's out there. I was more highlighting the fact that Newcastle are rumoured to pay over £20m for a 30 year old who has scored 3 goals in 17 appearances yet our players are deemed 'over priced'

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Jan 2022 15:28:10
£20mil was the buy out clause I’m led to believe.
They had to pay it and I doubt Burnley were too keen on letting him go.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2022 15:34:21
Burnley getting the better deal there. mmmn a striker that doesn't score goals. Origi is a much better striker in my humble opinion.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Jan 2022 15:50:59
Pot lay, surely be fools to sell him now or lose him for free in the summer?

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Jan 2022 19:10:20
He’s worth more to us for the remainder of the season than the pittance we’d get on transfer fee. Who could we realistically buy at this stage to replace Origi on the cheap? Literally no one is the answer.

There’s not one striker out there available at a price we can afford who is better than him right now. If he goes on a fee in the summer, that’s fine. It’s not a lot that we’ve lost.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Jan 2022 20:04:25
He may well of scored some important goals and some fans might wear tinted specs because of this but he’s poor at best. Ask Ed 25 if he’d have him at Everton, I don’t need too I know what his answer will be.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Ed025 thought Digne was the best left back in the world a few weeks ago, so why would anyone ask him about a player playing for Liverpool when he never sees anything good in Liverpool players anyway? What a bizarre way to back up your opinion.}

12 Jan 2022 22:36:48
Chris Woods : Burnley to Newcastle
Divock Origi : Liverpool go Burnley.

Origi gets game time and can still live in the area he is settled in.

Before the slanging match about Div recommences I would add this pure speculation on my part with no evidence whatsoever, more a case of 2 + 2 = 4 😁😁.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i like it though mate..

13 Jan 2022 07:53:39
Again the question is Pegleg, for the pittance we’d get for Origi, and then after various disbursements have been paid, who can we afford to bring in to replace him? As we’ll get between £5m and £7m at most given that he’s in the last 6 months of his contract. Which won’t help us in the games that Salah and Mane are away. Fact is that he’s worth more here right now than a few million quid in the transfer coffers.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2022 22:45:08
Ok, ask ed14 if he’d have him at Arsenal. My point being a lot of red fans over hype him because some of the goals he’s scored. I’ve never hidden the fact I don’t think he’s good enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed014's Note - err NO 😂
