Paul Joyce of The Times, Chris Bascombe of The Telegraph, James Pearce of The Liverpool Echo, and Melissa Reddy of Goal; all of them are saying LFC will not be putting in the 3rd bid.

LFC were led (by the agent I think) to think they RBL were willing to sell NB but seeing that RBL were not going to be sincere in negotiating a deal, had decided that they will not be putting in the 3rd bid.

{Ed002's Note - Keep your moronic abuse off the site.}

2.) 25 Jul 2017 16:58:33
If we have to give up up Keita but then keep Coutinho and Can and bring in VVD I'd be a very happy man with this window.

3.) 25 Jul 2017 17:27:55
I'm disappointed that we probably won't get Keita and I've never seen the guy play. excuse me while I go give my head a wobble.

4.) 25 Jul 2017 17:58:36
RBL was never selling and Ed02 alluded to RBL issuing some type of warning to Keita's agents (pls, clarify this, Ed) so this maybe what the OP is referring to. Reports have already stated that RBL has slammed the door shut on any bids for Keita and it is time for us to move on and use the RBL tactics on Barcelona regarding Couts. Not for sale at any price.

5.) 25 Jul 2017 18:13:21
Like most of us on this site Ben, Keita has somehow become the difference between winning the league and relegation. I think we all need to give ourselves a slap around the mush and remember how good we were most of last season without Keita the messiah.

6.) 25 Jul 2017 21:09:16
I love how keeping our players is now seen as a successful window.

200 mil to spend, biggest summer in years, we're going to smash the transfer record, not once, not twice but three times!

Keep Coutinho and Can - best summer in years! LOL.

7.) 25 Jul 2017 23:47:48

{Ed002's Note - You have to stop trolling posts.}

8.) 26 Jul 2017 06:14:48
We are going after players who their clubs want to keep. That's a good sign. That's the kind of player the likes of Real and Barcelona typically go after.

The only problem is you risk not getting them, and you risk making a nuisance of yourself with other clubs, as Real and Barcelona have done, and which we are now in danger of doing.

A "successful window" is not signing lots of players who end up going on loan to one club after another for the rest of their LFC careers. We tried it. It doesn't work.

9.) 26 Jul 2017 11:50:32
Whereas he's certainly not the difference between winning the league and relegation, he's certainly likely to be the difference between finishing in the top four and a good cup campaign.

Mohamed Salah will leave Cairo on Tuesdsay at 4:50 PM (CAI) on Egypt Air flight NO. (MS 779) to Arrive London at 9:05 PM (LHR)

kwkhong

1.) 20 Jun 2017 09:30:12
To then have his outrageously long Liverpool medical.

2.) 20 Jun 2017 09:59:40
haha. yep that'll take a few days. Eds get ready for 'that' question every 5 minutes. Is it done yet? Is it done yet? Is it done yet? Is it done yet? Is it done yet? Is it done yet? Is it done yet? Is it done yet? Is it done yet? Is it done yet? Is it done yet? Is it done yet?

3.) 20 Jun 2017 10:32:32
Is the salah deal done yet?

4.) 20 Jun 2017 10:34:50
Well is it done yet👍👍😂.

5.) 20 Jun 2017 10:44:15
Which Tuesday though 😂😂.

6.) 20 Jun 2017 10:54:21
It's a good job LFC aren't involved in Brexit negotiations.
You'd be looking at 10years minimum before we got out!

7.) 20 Jun 2017 10:55:54
It's more initiation than transfer:

Part 1: Get to London Heathrow
Part 2: Convince Aubameyang to travel with him
Part 3: bring a dossier of all left backs that are currently available
Part 4: Get the Striker and Left Back to sign, before he finally takes the medical and commits.
part 5: Don't admit that LFC have been taking him out for private lunches for the last 4months.

8.) 20 Jun 2017 11:52:01
He's already in Liverpool and met with jurgen.

9.) 20 Jun 2017 12:02:45
You all do notice that Tuesday is spelt wrong and if you search the twitter about Salah and flight number they all came from one source (which spelt Tuesday as Tuesdsay) .

10.) 20 Jun 2017 12:17:36
He then fails his medical.

11.) 20 Jun 2017 12:44:08
@ Liver-La. could not make a much bigger hash of it than the U. K. government.

12.) 20 Jun 2017 12:46:43
How about the now deleted tweet from Egypt Air official, tweeting "@22mosalah Thank you for traveling with EGYPTAIR! " Is it a fake account, or just to wind us fans up?

13.) 20 Jun 2017 12:59:11
Que Salah, Salah!

14.) 20 Jun 2017 13:11:11
AndyM - too much free time on your hands! LOL.

15.) 20 Jun 2017 13:36:29
He's with Klopp right now - in Blackpool.

16.) 20 Jun 2017 14:33:42
Wearing Kiss Me Quick hats and enjoying a ride on the donkeys before heading to Harry Ramsdens for a chippy tear.

{Ed025's Note - why would he be riding lovren and klaven.. :)

17.) 20 Jun 2017 15:00:42
BTW, this is now on BBC Sport that's the deal is done for £40m.

18.) 20 Jun 2017 15:28:09
Lovren and Klaven would try to headbutt them. but miss.

10 Jun 2017 13:17:32
Hi Ed, is the club trying to sell Gomez or they see that a loan is a better option?

kwkhong

{Ed002's Note - It is evident by Klopp looking for a centre back that he has no career at Liverpool - regaless of what Klopp has been telling him.}

1.) 10 Jun 2017 17:53:28
Brighton are interested in a loan deal.

2.) 10 Jun 2017 17:53:42
Think you're wrong there ed, he's young and is probably being given time to see if he can step up to the first team.

{Ed002's Note - Ok, so Klopp is a liar then.}

3.) 10 Jun 2017 17:58:03
Ed, I have a feeling that LFC are about to make a dogs of probably the most important transfer window we have had in recent years considering the players being linked with our direct rivals, am I just losing my head.

Thanks for your great and endless patience,

{Ed002's Note - I hear the same every year from Liverpool fans.}

4.) 10 Jun 2017 18:42:55
Ed002, you don't think it's possible Klavan will be sold and Gomez kept as 1 of 4 CBs?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has made no efforts to sell Klavan - who was Klopp's pick only last year.}

5.) 10 Jun 2017 22:19:47
Seems harsh and rushed decision for Klopp to judge Gomez as not good enough. Been out so long he hasn't really seen him play fully fit yet and he is only a youngster. Oh well what will be will be.

6.) 10 Jun 2017 22:35:52
Obviously seen enough, choose to play Lucas out of position over him so he obviously doesn't think he's upto the task.

7.) 10 Jun 2017 23:09:09
Thanks Ed2.

8.) 11 Jun 2017 07:01:52
Given the length of time he's been out, loan deal seems the best all round if we buy another cb. Whatever promises were or were not made re. Joe, s playing time would surely be conditional on recovery?
Klavan, imo, was only ever bought as a backup.

9.) 11 Jun 2017 01:50:13
Ed2 Can you explain your "ok, he's a liar then" comment?

{Ed002's Note - It has been done to death. You can't have it all ways.}

10.) 11 Jun 2017 08:35:27
Ed2,you say he's surplus even though klopp has said otherwise then totally contradict that in your reply to HX Red- which you imply Klopp has told him he no future.
What has Klopp told him?

{Ed002's Note - Where did I say he is surplus? Where did I say Klopp has told him he has no future? You don't seem to understand the situation which has been explained over and over.}

11.) 11 Jun 2017 09:19:56
You said he .............

{Ed002's Note - You are one DF moron. This has been covered over and over in the past.}

25 Jul 2017 09:55:40
Barca are making Coutinho their top priority with reports saying Barcelona chiefs are flying to London to discuss the deal. God, please tell me this is not true.

kwkhong

1.) 25 Jul 2017 10:28:44
I don't normally respond to prayers but ok. It's not true.

2.) 25 Jul 2017 10:47:04
Flying to meet and negotiate with who? The same LFC where the manager has said that Couts is not for sale? Come on, OP. Even you should no that that's nothing but hot smoke.

3.) 25 Jul 2017 11:31:16
A football club saying a player is not for sale is probably on a par with telling the missus I'm only going out for the 1.

4.) 25 Jul 2017 12:29:44
Jayden, if we mean that he is not for sale then it means he is not for sale so don't bother flying into London to negotiate except of course you wanna negotiate with yourselves or see the London Bridge. Suarez was not for sale and was not sold that summer. RBL said that Naby is not for sale and that was that and the deal is dead. If we mean what we say and I believe Klopp on this, then Barcelona can come to London and negotiate with the Milkman.

5.) 25 Jul 2017 12:42:21
Agree B scouse but the only people who actually know whether they mean it is the owners. The rest of us are just speculating and guessing.

6.) 25 Jul 2017 12:45:44
Like vvd isn't for sale doesn't stop u lot banging on about letting him go .

7.) 25 Jul 2017 13:39:51
It's all over the Spanish press. Front page headline reads " attack for coutinho" reps are in London negotiating with Liverpool. 100m€ is what they are offering. Should never of told psg the price we would accept.

8.) 25 Jul 2017 15:03:16
Hi I wouldn't panic too much if can and coutinho go, it would give grujic a chance and if we get a top class replacement for coutinho then who knows or even play. Firmino as a no 10 in a withdrawn role and Sturridge up front.

08 Jul 2017 06:06:45
Anyone knows when we will activate panic buy button?

kwkhong

1.) 08 Jul 2017 07:17:10
Odds on Balotelli?

2.) 08 Jul 2017 07:36:31
I'd say on 31st august but a lot of people on here hit it on 31st May 😂.

3.) 08 Jul 2017 07:42:04
When ". It's only 8 days into the window. " reaches climax!

4.) 08 Jul 2017 11:19:29
Would rathe we hit the Pjanic buy button.

08 Jun 2017 03:00:55
Dear Eds, do you think there is a remote chance that VVD transfer can happen this summer? Or are we seeing the end of our dealings with Soton henceforth. Thanks.

kwkhong

{Ed001's Note - it is unlikely to happen as we will not pay the money required.}

1.) 08 Jun 2017 08:10:30
Not because we have said we have ended interest in him ed?

{Ed001's Note - that means little. It is the price being asked that has seen us pull out of a move, rather than just paying them to make it go away.}

24 Jun 2016 14:31:34
Dear Eds, will this Brexit decision pave way to selling LFC?

kwkhong

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with LFC.}

1.) 24 Jun 2016 16:44:10
Lol, Henry was just awaiting the outcome of the referendum before deciding whether to sell or not.

16 Jul 2015 16:35:00
Before anyone starts with the negative reaction on Benteke's impending arrival. Just try this. Imagine Mignolet's goal kicks last season. Now close your eyes, imagine Benteke receiving the ball. Now do you feel better? This season will be a good one.

kwkhong

1.) 16 Jul 2015 16:49:18
Yeah but his goal kicks usually end up by the byline somewhere. Which is precisely where I wouldn't want benteke to be.

2.) 16 Jul 2015 16:49:23
Why's Benteke sitting in the stands?

3.) 16 Jul 2015 16:52:30
No. Since his goal kick never reaches a player.

4.) 16 Jul 2015 17:57:03
Ha nice one User013!!

5.) 16 Jul 2015 18:04:03
Quality User013!

Red Rum

6.) 16 Jul 2015 18:34:31
It's pretty impressive from a professional goalkeeper that has kicked a ball every day of his life to blast it into touch 4/5 times a match. What is he aiming at ? The main stand pillars ?

7.) 16 Jul 2015 18:35:22
Lol, user013. Great, just great

8.) 16 Jul 2015 18:37:04
I have more chance of getting on the end of his goal kicks sitting at home on the Wirral.

9.) 16 Jul 2015 18:39:38
Haha you set yourself up to some great responses here.

I would rather not see Benteke in a wing back role. But hey Rodgers does love a good rotation.

10.) 16 Jul 2015 19:07:11
One eye in Brighton, the other in Huyton type eyes.

11.) 16 Jul 2015 21:28:53
I still say that Mignolet has been directed to kick towards the halfway line and side line. Yes he gets many wrong. Maybe that will change with a target man.

Given a player running into his last year of the contract, it's dangerous to keep him without a new contract. 35m EUROs seems like a steal these days.

I think it came from a single source and then replicated in all tabloids. Maybe it's true, source say they tabled the bid on Friday, Klopp said they are too late, then today it's accepted.
