Wow, that Benfica goal scored by their goalie. reminded me of the madness when Ally scored that bullet header. it also made me realise how great footy can be after watching some terrible refereeing in the PSG Newcastle game.

I flicked that on after our game finished. Despite kicking off at the same time I flicked over in time to see 2 RM red cards and a goal by the Benfica keeper to get them into the playoffs at the expense of Marseille (and therefore the horrendous human being that is Mason Greenwood).

After seeing us stroll to a 6-0 victory it really topped off a great evening.

I just want to say

Edward's and hughes should be sacked immediately based on the team line up tonight and the bench

Whatever they get paid should be donated to charity and they should never be employed by any football club again because it's just a complete joke relying on one centre back for so many years to carry the team.

Thought the same, surely we have some full backs or even a strong Midfielder who could learn the ropes at full back like Gerrard had to do a bit, or carragher and the likes. I mean it's more complicated to play there these days than it used to be but it's still one of the easier positions on the pitch imo.

He'll play Jones or Szobo there now, I really hope it's not Szobo anyway, we need his energy in midfield!

Klopp will be allowed to return to LFC after his wife found him drunk of a bottle of Jagermeister and in tears watching Liverpool fc. Again this is not going to be a popular opinion what I tell you now, maybe the reason we won the league last season is because we played Paris Saint-Germain. We had a week to prepare for league games [after going out of Champions League].


That's a quote from Slot, now if we went 100% after the PSG game I might agree with him. But after that game we looked leggy and never really got momentum back. If anything I think it had the opposite effect as the team wanted both!

I can't agree with what he said and just sounds like another excuse. Is he basically saying this season we will win the CL as we are treating the league as a write off?

Maybe if Slot was willing to use the Chiesa's or Rio's of this world, we wouldn't be struggling to play two games a week. In fact, right now, we look like we struggle to play 70 mins.

If he's putting all his eggs in one basket for some cockamamie notion we might win the champions league he's utterly delusional.

If his big idea is that we prioritise winning the champions league then that is one that will end in failure as soon as we face PSG or City.

If he bins off the league for that he's a fool.

Mind you I'm not sure anyone would be able to tell the difference if he did throw the league compared to the sh*t show he's serving up now.

We were awful after the PSG game last year. I got pelted on here for saying we limped over the line. But we did. Those to games with PSG finished our team. We could have won the league with a 15 point lead. But we were out on our feet. You can point to those couple of weeks and see the demise. How the second leg was even a competition was amazing PSG ripped us a new one in Paris.

Allison had the best game I've ever seen from a GK the extra time and pens was a draining experience to watch never mind play in.
I honestly think most of the team were like a Boxer after a bad knockout. The loss of Diogo I believe compounded the situation.

I think he wants his pay off but to go back to Holland his family obviously has no interest in moving abroad. An excuse of kids in final years of schooling in nonsense they could go to a top private school so the would be no drop in education level probably be in a better school if anything otherwise why do so many rich kids from abroad come to some of our top private schools.
