Fair comments re Tchouameni choosing Madrid over us but Salah chose Chelsea over us initially. didn't work out too badly second time around did it! Not saying he'd end up another Salah but let's be real, as much as we all love Liverpool, unless you're a die hard pool fan, it's hard to justify choosing Liverpool over Real Madrid so wouldn't hold it against the lad personally.
Baleba or Wharton for me for the middle although neither would come cheap unfortunately.

Yeh a shame to see him go for nothing alright but if there's a man who's earned that right it's Mo. Owes us nothing, still hopeful we tie him down for another year or 2 but all good things must come to an end unfortunately. Nobody bigger than the club, we've survived other club legends leaving and we will again. Let's hope if it is his swansong that he goes out with a bang!

Fiskesprett I agree. Pay the man more, granted his dad doesn't help but he never once downs tools or looks like he's not trying 100%. Love Lucho me, workrate is superb, yes his end product can improve for sure but there's enough there for me. He's not had a clear full season with the bad injury 2 seasons ago when he was arguably our best player at start of the season, then last year started well again and his auld pair got kidnapped, say what you want about the lad but that can't be easy to deal with.
I don't know if there's more behind the scenes with ed saying he may have burnt his bridges and if that's the case so be it, but all I can see is a man who gives his all and an old school winger (my favourite type of player ever since I set eyes on Macca (shaggy) back in the day) . Would love to keep him and happy to up his wages if he's on as low as mentioned. in comparison to others at his level. And his song is a belter too!

Watching the friendly, and Nyoni with a lovely finish. He's looked v lively in pre season in fairness probably playing a factor in Clark as well as he's younger and probably higher potential.
Diogo cracking finish and Diaz with 2.1 cracker too . if Diaz could add more goals to his game he'd be top top quality for me. I know the father talk is annoying but can never be accused of not putting in 100% in matches in fairness to Lucho!

Definitely, anyone who moves to them after playing for pool tarnishes their rep. Not quite as much as Owen though, that one hurt more as he came through the system too. so he had absolutely no excuse. Harder to expect the lads from other continents to have that loyalty though. Hard to see Mane get anywhere near his levels with us though as he was on the wane before he left and struggled since really.

Harsh Faith, most have contributed heavily to winning titles, the likes of Robertson who's won everything with us gets overlooked these days because his level dropped this year. Most of the squad won cups at least. I'm not talking about having to be Mo or Virgils levels, I'm happy with an Origi or Luis Garcia type level but contributing to success with big goals / performances in big games would do.
Just think getting a song before you start is unfair on the lads who are in.
That being said I sound like an auld fart because I do love seeing most players have a song at the same time. Damn inner conflict. You know times are good when that's all you have to complain about though ?.

Call me old school but I miss the days were players used to earn their songs. Like don't get me wrong I love chiesas song but does he deserve one over some of the more regular players? Anyway delighted with the signing and hopefully he earns his song quickly ?.

To be the best you have to beat the best. No probs with the draw, tough side and certainly more of a team than recent years but still need to be beating them over 2 legs if we are to call ourselves the best in Europe again! Bring em on! COME ON YOU REDMEN!

Enjoy Barry, nothing better. My young lad turned 6 a few months ago, brought him to his first game earlier in the season, Brentford at home. He still talks about it and asks when he can go again!
