To state how I am feeling in this moment is beyond description. When Jurgen led the stadium in singing Arne Slot's name... I felt a hope that we were seeing a modern day equivalence of the boot room legacy where there would be a soul and identity to the club that belonged to all of us.

In the first season of Arne, I was pleased to see the continuation of Klopp-Gengenpress-heavy metal -attack focused football... and even saluted the man for tactical nuance and his seeming ability to read a game and make necessary changes to bring about the victory. I was willing to pass off the late season decline as fatigue and an over expectation of a club in transition. We won the league FFS.

The year did not start well, but with everything that happened over the summer, new player and poor Jota, I had faith that this was going to pass and we would eventually return to ways.

How wrong could we be.

To watch the soulless descent into bland, expressionless slothball has been soul destroying. When the rumours started in November that Slot would be gone... I did not welcome them. I still wanted to believe. But game upon game upon game upon game of utter drudgery turned a believer into a hater. Who are we anymore?

That FSG have allowed this to happen, that a beloved former player who was available has been overlooked and has probably taken a role with a hated rival, just breaks my heart. Xabi may not have been the saviour...who knows? But that our club's leadership allowed this crap to go on and then this happens.... I just can't.

The soul has gone from the club.... how can they not see this?

I cannot believe Arne’s condescending tone in the press conference last night regarding one transfer window can change things positively! One thing is for sure, last Summer window has dismantled a lot of Jurgen’s work!

Checking it almost every 10 minutes, in the hope that there's some good news.
I'm hanging on to the desperate belief that we'll now get Iraola.
The sentimentalist in me would have been so happy with Xabi because I adored him as a player for us and beyond.
I see lots of digs at the ITK's, which I think is unfair.
Carra called it yesterday, that Edwards had ballsed it up re Xabi.
It is, after all, a rumours site. Not the Gospel.
I understand the frustration. I feel it myself.
I'm watching the club I love being destroyed by 3 inept people (Slot, Hughes & Edwards), when we've never had a better opportunity of returning to the summit and staying there.


Where we are feared and admired equally.
But, because they just don't get it, we are where we are.
I'm hoping that along with his wonderful talent and years of joy that he brought us, that Mo Salah will also be remembered as the one who was brave enough, in January & today, to speak out and speak from the heart and bring about the change that's needed.

Slot's position is untenable.

The truth is Edwards' and Hughes' time is also up. They will perhaps get one more go of it, but their futures very much depend on their summer decisions; they get it right, they keep their jobs. They get it wrong, they are out the door.



The only benefit of keeping Slot is that all 3 will be gone in that scenario.

I still think they are idiotic enough to keep them.

Klopp is responsible for Edwards. Unfortunately, he gave the clown a name.

If we were getting rid of the manager, it 100 % won't be bfr the last game of the season. Who knows what went on between LFC n Alonso, but now we know it won't be him. It narrows it down to two managers n both are good replacements for Slot.

Well said by Mo Salah, calling the issues out that it seems some are hiding from or not taking seriously. Although he is moving on in the summer, he has taken the opportunity to speak up.

I think this is a good moment to reflect a bit on how we treat "ITKs" and some of the more well-received rumour figures in general.

Not trying to attack anyone specifically. They've been right before, and they've also been wrong before. That's normal with rumours.

Some will say it's just a rumours site at the end of the day and mostly for fun, which I don't disagree with. I've enjoyed reading their posts too, and I genuinely hope they keep posting. But there was definitely a point where things became a bit of an echo chamber, with certain people being treated almost as unquestionable sources and every update getting taken as fact.

Rather than taking digs at them now that situations have changed, maybe the better takeaway is that we just shouldn't put people on a pedestal in the first place. It's better to assess things critically instead of fully buying into narratives, no matter how convincing they sound at the time.

The whole thing is just stupid.

People are losing their minds over something they can not control. It's like getting angry over the day and night cycle.

Don't get me wrong, I'm of the opinion that Slot should be replaced, as it's clearly not working. But I'm not pulling my hair out after every game, demanding he be sacked immediately.



I think he will be sacked, probably when his contract turns over to its final year, when the contract compensation will be significantly reduced. FSG will probably want to penny pinch on this as much as they can, because we spent an ungodly amount of money in the summer.

No disrespect to anyone who posts in good faith, Ed002 (RIP) was a genuine verified source with loads of high level contacts and even he didn't get it right every time.

Things change, some things happen before sources can post.

We should treat all rumours with 'acknowledgement' and gratitude but certainly not as 'unchanging gospel truth'.

These are two of the many legacies the great Ed002 left us - insight in to the processes and patience.

All of the ITKs are only as good as the info they are being given. If the club has been deliberately sending out misinformation and plugging leaks, then inevitably the info they get may be tarnished, wrong, or the end of a plugging attempt by the club. You cannot then bash them for passing on what they have been told, they aren't coming here to try and earn clicks for payment etc, just passing on what they have been told.

Also, things in clubs can change hour by hour. I'm an ikfa, but just observing how fast teams, over the years, not just LFC, have said 1 thing and within the hour something totally different is happening. I for 1 will still be watching for those certain few people's posts, as even if they are wrong it is not a deliberate act, and I find them entertaining anyway and at least give me a little hope some days that what they say may be true.
