Wanted shakiri.

Watched shakiri.

Changed my mind.

Geggen press will destroy him lol. All those muscles will have to go for sure.

And will someone please shut Lawrensons constant negativity up on bbc. He is so patronising. How is he still commentating.

Rant over.

1.) 18 Jun 2018 17:46:11
Lawrenson is the best thing about the bbc.

2.) 18 Jun 2018 18:25:39
Lawrenson is the one thing your positive about Walter? Really? Haha.

3.) 18 Jun 2018 19:43:40
Lawrenson the ManU fan? 🤨.

4.) 18 Jun 2018 21:43:42
OP, I don't want Shaquiri, never wanted him and the hope is, he never comes. You said the Klopp system will kill him. Well funny story. Someone on the Anfield Wrap said he watched the LFC v Stoke game last season at home and saw how over-weight, out of shape, and lazy he was. He said that Shaquiri was dead on his feet after 25 mins. If that is true then, look out.

07 Jun 2018 08:36:55
I have always liked shakiri.

I watched stokes last few games and tried to picture him in our team especially after a few people said he was lazy.

I have to say I did not see a lazy player.

I saw a very good player whose final ball needed improving. But that mayne wss due to kim trying to create in an uncreative team.
Great corners. Great awesome free kicks and always on the move and thinking ahead.

I think he would be a perfect fit from a playing perspective.

But he just would not get ahead of our front 3 and Keita.

From what the edds say, he will have serious issues being second choice and attitude comes first.

Klopp made it clear that fabinho has a great attitude and that is the number one attribute he looks for imo.

Let's see.

If we get shakiri I'll be relatively pleased.

I'll be really pleased if he leaves the attitude behind.

Now I'll get shot for this but here goes. He is a far better option than lallana imo.

1.) 07 Jun 2018 09:23:10
He hasn’t left his attitude behind and with him likely on the bench, he’ll destroy the atmosphere in the dressing room. Avoid at all costs imo. That said, I don’t think we’re even looking, instead it’s just media tripe to get hits.

2.) 07 Jun 2018 09:35:03
Word for word, I'm with you on that aoe mate.

3.) 07 Jun 2018 09:47:30
One thing I will say is that I would say he is a better player then Adam L at this current moment in time.

4.) 07 Jun 2018 10:06:57
I would take Lallana over Shaqs any day of the week. Even an injured Lallana. This rumour will hopefully die a death by this afternoon.

I just read most of posts today and the traffic control was one hilarious. Hope your friend got it right.

So it got me thinking.

What do I really prefer?

A signing like fabinho were it was dropped on us like a bomb. No build up. No foreplay.

Bit like an arranged marriage, being Indian I would know.

Or the whole razzmatazz and sighting and highfever that goes with speculation. The let down after let down and then bang. we signed jermaine penant lol.

Hand on heart I love the nonsense that happens in the summer months and prefer it over a fabinho type signing.

Bring on the nonsense but not too much.

Which means the edds have more nonsense to put up with so apologies in advance lol.

Lfc lover

Its quicker to pass the ball past a player than dribble.

Henderson is a player that imo is the best role model at the club especially for younger players.

He clearly was not wanted at the club under rogers and the stupidity of trying to swap him for a player worth a few million must have been embarrassing. But he kept at it.

Despite the set back, he has been our captain for a few years, our best midfield player and when fit one of the first names on the team sheet.

Klopp keeps saying it that character is one of the most important characteristics. And non better than hendo.

If he was to miss the final we would miss him dearly.

1.) 23 May 2018 12:38:30
Was never a fan of Rogers but boy do some people on here love dragging him up AGAIN and again.
Let's look forward.

2.) 23 May 2018 13:06:40
I was one of rogers biggest supporters and still am. I would love to have seen him get the arsenal job.

I think under the circumstances he did an amazing job at Liverpool.

He had us playing amazing football. Nearly won us the title with a team that had a 18 year old or there abouts right back playing left back and ally cissoko, a loan on loan. Imagine how mourinho would react.

We had a loan signing in Victor moses. Really.

We had 1 target that January and made a dogs meal of it.

It pisses me off when people say it was suarez team. I like to remind them that suarez was missing the first 6 games that season and look at our results.

But rogers treatment of certain players was very poor and he went out of his way to make players look bad to make the committee look bad - imo. Ie aspas.

Aspas- Why on earth was he not given more game time especially in games when we were cruising. Then we chuck him on again to Chelsea and expect miracles.

That's my opinion.

I just wish he had worked with what he had at his disposal and the politics within the club was his downfall.

Now under klopp, the owners know this is a manager in demand and there is no way in the world he won't get what he wants. He is indispensable.

I hope he gets the chance to build 2 or 3 great teams at anfield.

Keep up the good work.

Hopefully macca gets his prediction 100% right. I'm sure a million things can happen to make a deal fall through. l and if he is wrong so what.

I remember the William to chelase deal.

Poor old Ian arye was busy booking his aerofloat ticket To Russia.

Then we got news spurs had high jacked the deal and we had wasted good money on the plane ticket.

Finally news came in that Chelsea had the player that spurs too. had wasted too.

My point being that the people that make these deals can't give us a definite answer until it's completed.

Any criticism the eds and macca have had is disrespectfull and has really spoiled it for everyone else.

I shall use this site and this site only for transfer news.

Keep up the good work everyone. and let's see who we get.

1.) 21 May 2018 18:09:39
Not to mention poor old odemwingie having to pay for his own petrol.

2.) 21 May 2018 19:27:13
Reflecting on last summer’s transfers, we had an almost perfect window, every single signing has made a positive impact and the deals that we didn’t get over the line to sign at a later date are top class too. Whereas I wasn’t confident in Ayers, I am confident in Michael Edwards as he has got some really good deals sorted, like Salah, van Dijk and Keita (which I think will look like daylight robbery next season) .

3.) 21 May 2018 19:31:51
Ah yes, Willian publicly declaring his undying love for almost every club in England. One of the more underated transfer sagas.

4.) 21 May 2018 19:54:59
Was it not the owners that made the vvd deal? I could be wrong but I am sure edd2 said they personally went and met the Southampton owners to get the deal done.
If this is wrong I apologise for the mistake.

5.) 21 May 2018 20:03:43
Walter, you're right. I don't remember the exact words but it was something like " FSG intervened and asked for a price for VVD, Southampton gave a price, and FSG paid it". Something along those lines.

6.) 21 May 2018 20:00:55
Yep Walter. Klopp was told to keep his mouth shut and allow things to happen.

7.) 21 May 2018 23:41:02
Mr Shankly you are correct last summers window was almost perfect, which makes your criticism of this summers targets slightly puzzling, you should have a little more faith.

Fanatic question and answer.

Got me thinking. Do lyon want more money if he becomes a world cup winner.

Or is the agent fees a stumbling block.

Dodged a bullet when the Chinese failed to take over.

Now if I remember correctly the hate campaign was in full force back then too as to why the Chinese failed.

Just have a look at villa and the baggies.

I live bang in the middle of both of them and believe me there so so much positivity when they took over.

But the fact that we fail to see the obvious is human nature. The Chinese are in it for profit and as quickly as they can.

Fekir has not happened as it has not made sense for whatever reason.

I would live the eds to share their thoughts or rhe real reasons and I'm sure eventually they will.

Great post

Personally i think the eds should just not bother replying to repeat questions or nonsense.

When you post repeat questions, you show little consideration for the poor bloke reading it over and over. Have some appreciation for others.

I find it annoying having to go through post after post of the same question never mind the edds.

We have a great resource in the edds, do use it wisely.

I prrsonally think we will get fekir in the end.

And if we don't, I really don't give a shit.

I remember the konoplayanka window. Things have improved exponentially since then.

Have some patience people.

I have to admit I used to compare the price of players all the time.

I remember we played United once and rio ferdinand cost more than 8 of our outfield players put together. Can't remember the year.

Yes United won and yes they had the most expensive team in the premiership and yes they won the most trophies.

Kind of went hand in hand.

City are doing the same now it seems.

I genuinely gave up on prices when we signed vvd. 75m for a defender.
It just did not make sense. Well it does now.

I came to the conclusion that actually the price was irrelevant. The only thing that matters is does the player fit into what we are trying to achieve. It does not really matter if he is a world beater as we can turn him into the player we want.

As long as he does the job and has the right passion that's what matters.

With the fees the way they are, it's time to get smart with out transfers and get the right fit no matter how long it takes. Ie vvd

If it don't fit, don't bother going for plan c or d.

The frustration of not getting a player is no where near as matched as the frustration of getting the wrong player. Once you made the wrong signing, you in it for the long haul ie ballotelli or
as in benteke case you cash in. But the still used up valuable squad time that was no good to Liverpool.

Let's not go back to those days is what I want out of this transfer window.

Once again thanks to the edds for their patience.

Here here.

What a well written post.

Come on ed002. One nugget a week would do.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any "good" news today for Liverpool fans.}
