I've tried searching but haven't been able to pull up an answer - have Liverpool expressed any interest in Enzo Fernandez?

Thanks in advance!

{Ed002's Note - He only moved to Europe three months ago.}

1.) 04 Nov 2022 19:34:36
In the words of Kevin bridges that was not the question.

2.) 04 Nov 2022 21:50:05
If we draw them in the CL he might impress Klopp so much we'll do a Nunes with him.

3.) 05 Nov 2022 01:40:54
Alisson only played 37 league games in Europe before we made him the most expensive keeper in the world at the time.

4.) 05 Nov 2022 11:31:47
He'd be a great successor for Thiago. Likes to play the left sided no8 role in a 433 and would be comfortable in a two. A great variety of passing and is tenacious in the tackle in a typical South American style. He's not a ball carrier and not sure how good he would be playing in a solo no6 role. Definitely not one to give you recovery speed and power, if that is what you're looking for.

If you put him alongside a Caicedo or Kone, you'd get a great mix of attributes.

5.) 05 Nov 2022 13:45:00
Would he be suited to playing with Jude though?

31 Jan 2022 23:17:34
Carvalho deal off, efl don't do deadline extensions apparently. Disappointed but let's see if we get him in summer.

Grujic to Porto.

1.) 06 Oct 2020 22:39:56
Great move that comes with Champions League football which he will play against City this season.

He has a chance to really shine now.

2.) 06 Oct 2020 23:20:26
Good luck to the lad.

3.) 07 Oct 2020 07:40:23
Glad he got a move, he would be wasted with not being in our squad.

4.) 07 Oct 2020 08:03:08
Perfect outcome IMO, hope works out for the lad and if he really shines then there should be chances next season as Milner Is not getting any younger, Gini out of contract, Keita still 50/ 50 if fits the system etc.

We’ll need someone his age in midfield at some point soon enough.

5.) 07 Oct 2020 08:11:18
Excellent news.

6.) 07 Oct 2020 08:49:52
Really good news for Grujic.

Hope he has a great time and wins some silverware over there.

7.) 07 Oct 2020 08:52:25
Hopefully he will come back with another years experience and maybe fill in the space left from Milner.

8.) 07 Oct 2020 08:56:44
Phew! Good news for Grujic indeed. Should make an excellent pairing with Danilo Pereira and give Porto a solid foundation to build on for the season.

9.) 07 Oct 2020 10:23:42
I wished they had loaned out Keita.

10.) 07 Oct 2020 10:58:05
Looking forward to seeing Gruijic in CL vs Marseille, Olympiakos and especially Man City.

11.) 07 Oct 2020 11:06:35
Ah missed Danilo going to PSG. That's big boots for Grujic to fill, so.
I believe he can be a success there and yes hopefully come back to claim one of our midfielder slots.

12.) 07 Oct 2020 14:04:14
Let's hope it's a successful time for him. Been mucked around a lot so hopefully he can make positive strides in his development.

13.) 07 Oct 2020 17:43:12
Why in a post that’s talking about Grujic do we have people slagging off Keita? Ridiculous.

14.) 07 Oct 2020 22:16:53
Beckers pecker, because Keita has cost a shedload of cash and offers absolutely nothing when he plays, his performances have been less than adequate since he’s signed. At the weekend his performance was a microcosm of his career to date here. No tackles, no interceptions, no pressing and looked weak, lightweight and ineffective. The point being that Grujic looked like he wanted to play for the shirt when he played and Keita looked like he couldn’t be arsed and I’d rather give Grujic a shot, he couldn’t do worse than Keita, that’s for sure.

15.) 07 Oct 2020 22:36:47
Too right 6Times.

Ed002, a previously accurate Austrian journalist has said we've made contact with valon berishas representatives. Do you have any information or are you aware of any interest?

lmred

{Ed002's Note - Valon Berisha has been watched by scouts of several sides including Liverpool but only one PL side has opened talks - and it is not Liverpool.}

26 Feb 2018 22:06:23
Hi ed002,

You've mentioned the possibility of Dani Ceballos moving to Liverpool before.

Reports coming out of Spain say that Ceballos is now actively pushing for a move to Liverpool is there any truth in this?

Thanks in advance for your time.

lmred

{Ed002's Note - I don't know if he is "pushing" in any way but Klopp is keen.}

1.) 01 Mar 2018 07:28:31
Do you think Dani has received his PowerPoint and information pack then Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Most probably.}

Eds, any truth in the interest in
Folarin Balogun? I assume this would replace Origi in the squad if we moved him on.

{Ed002's Note - Try searching.}

Ed001, have you managed to watch any of Grujic early games?

I was highly critical of him at Cardiff but by all accounts he has been exceptional at Hertha who are 2nd in the league (unfortunately got injured this weekend) . Would be great to hear your thoughts!

Just picked up a few quotes from their head coach and some of the press here in case you're interested:

Pal Dardai (coach) : "Marko is an exceptional player in midfield. I've never said that about anyone since I was coach here. It's not normal for us to be able to get him. "

Michael Preetz (sporting director) : "Marko has managed to make a significant difference to our game in the short time he has been with us, which is why the loss for him personally and for us is very, very bitter. Now we will look after him and help him, so that he can play that role as soon as possible. "

Even the press have been quite nice! "Another key to the Hertha upswing is Marko Grujic. The Serb, loaned for a season by English championship leader Liverpool FC, embodies unremarkable top class. ".

lmred

{Ed001's Note - I haven't seen any of his games, about time he knuckled down though. His problem has always been himself.}

1.) 25 Sep 2018 13:26:27
‘Unremarkable top class’ doesn't sound like the best compliment ever.

31 Jul 2018 00:40:30
Ed001 and for any posters familiar with the academy, we signed a very young lad apparently for 6 figures in 2017 called Emeka Obi from Bury but I haven't seen a peep from him since. He came after some high praise from the Bury manager.

He's not played in our u18 squad since signing, but doesn't appear to have left Liverpool? But he has made a handful of appearances for Wigan's u18 side? Have we not registered him?

Anyone with any knowledge of the situation able to help?

lmred

{Ed001's Note - he is just a kid mate, almost impossible to keep track of at that age.}

1.) 31 Jul 2018 06:24:19
On the This is Anfield site he's listed in the u18's squad for this season.

2.) 31 Jul 2018 10:14:48
This is the guy I asked about 6 months ago. We eventually decided he’s been playing for Wigan u18s whether on loan or permanent.

French publications saying Madrid have an agreement in principle with Sadio Mane to join. Ed002 has said Madrid dropped their interest some time ago. Can we go ahead and assume this can be ignored?

lmred

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any agreement.}

1.) 04 Jun 2018 17:43:19
God I hope not. Unless it involves us getting Asensio, we hen actually, that might just be epic :)

2.) 04 Jun 2018 18:00:03
I’m going with Ed002 over some dodgy French rag.

{Ed025's Note - good idea FMS..

3.) 04 Jun 2018 18:11:25
Damn it. At this rate our front 3 will be down to a skeleton crew. All we have left now is:

Suarez, Fekir, Dembele, Werner, Fekir, Firmino, Luan, Fekir and Woodburn.

4.) 04 Jun 2018 18:18:55
Lol Mk. You forgot Messi.

5.) 04 Jun 2018 18:18:55
Lol Mk. You forgot Messi.

6.) 04 Jun 2018 18:30:25
I've not seen a Messi confirmation yet. I did see interest in Bale though. Apparently he came into our dressing room and gave Lallana a big kiss (with tongue) . So that is as good as nailed on.

7.) 04 Jun 2018 18:54:42
Luan's a shoe in ;)

8.) 04 Jun 2018 19:14:18
You forgot Arda Turan as well MK - surely he’s nailed on this year (finally) .

9.) 04 Jun 2018 19:41:01
None of that is true.

Has Bayerns stance shifted ed? I think previously you mentioned they were frustrated with him but didn't want to sell.

lmred

{Ed002's Note - Ryan Gravenberch (CM/DM/AM) Versatile midfield player who only joined Bayern Munich last summer and wasn't to be for sale, unless the Head Coach decides he can join the lengthy list of players now available as he looks towards a rebuild and with Brazzo Salihamidzic being sacked that has become more likely. I am not aware of any approach by Liverpool to Bayern Munich at this time, but that may change, and Team Mino are certainly not offering him around, but they have had enquiries from a number of clubs, including Manchester City. The player is making demands about being a starter and game time and Bayern Munich have told Team Mino he can be sold. Newcastle may offer up an acceptable bid, they are certainly interested. There is interest from Italy but that may not suit the player. The player has made it clear he would like his next move to be to Manchester United and they may provide an option if available. Liverpool will likely offer another option and will have spoken with his Agents. A wildcard maybe Juventus.}

Klopp in his conference just said the club really stretched themselves to afford Caicedo and they didn't realise before summer that they were going to lose Fab and Hendo. By which time Bellinghams' future was decided after being asked why they spent £100m, on Caicedo but not Bellingham.

It looks less likely that it's going to happen now, frustrating but what can you do when the player doesn't want it.

Great write up. The one thing that's frustrating about Diaz is he can take too long to get the shot away - tries a step over and then goes for goal even in the box tries to beat his man when the shot is there. I read a piece when Jota first came into the team around how he gets his goals and he takes shots first time when it's available and hits it low as often as he can because it's harder for the keeper to get there.

Would like Diaz to add a bit more of that to his game because I think then he'd get his numbers up, he's a fantastic player and no doubt will get better.

Ed001, other than the obvious Doak, Bradley/ Ramsey is there anyone else from the academy you think we should be looking to use? Morton looked like one but I can't really see him getting a chance with 3 new midfielders coming in and Elliot and Jones being young unless someone like Fab leaves.

lmred

{Ed001's Note - Chambers, Beck look potentially good enough. There are probably more I am forgetting.}

007 if you read the book you'd know Klopp loves him, promoted him to assistant manager when he came back and encouraged him to write the book. The book includes the end of last year and obviously needed edited and printing. To turn around a book that was finished in June to release in August is pretty good going.

He was just a coach at the time and wanted to try his hand at mananging.

Klopp did an interview a month or so ago, saying that when he recovered from his injury he looked like his old self and that he had loads of energy and adrenaline after being out for so long. But that now he's had a little set back (in his form) which is expected after a such a long injury but everything will be fine he's just working his way back.
