Hello Eds.

Seems like Ederson is now ahead of Koopmeiners for incomings and Pacho still seems to be the front runner for CB.

I'm surprised Wieffer isn't an option since Arne has worked with him already, maybe there is an agreement with Feyenoord, not to go near their players?

Do you have any info on what Liverpool have planned for these players?

Tyler Morton
Bobby Clark
Lewis Koumas
Owen Beck
Ben Doak
Fabio Carvalho
James McConnell
Jayden Danns

Looks Like Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams time is up. Sepp Van den Berg likely to stay or leave?

Thank you for your time and info.

Hoinkz

{Ed002's Note - I have explained about Ederson and Liverpool has no interest in Wieffer at this time.

Phillips will leave and Van den Berg has burned all bridges with the club - which could prove to be a huge mistake.

Tyler Morton (DM) Hard to see a future at Liverpool. Has had a very good season on loan at Hull and a Championship side may offer him a reboot.

Bobby Clark (CM) Loan possible with Derby wanting a loan to buy deal.

Owen Beck (LB) No clear future at Liverpool - maybe one last loan.

Ben Doak (RB) I suspect he will stay.

Fabio Carvalho (AM/LW) Will be looked at in pre-season before the club determine if he is available or not.

James McConnell (CM) - Sorry I have nothing.

Jayden Danns (S) Will stay.}

Thanks Ed002. Is it the interview comments that make you say Sepp has burnt bridges with the club? I only ask as Ed001 said that was taken out of context, so I'm a little confused? Is he actively looking for a new club or LFC actively looking to offload him?
Sorry if this has already been covered in detail and have a good weekend.

{Ed002's Note - Sepp van den Berg (CB) He likely won't get a chance as a starter at Liverpool and will most likely be sold in the summer to raise funds if a buyer can be found - could be a mistake by the club but the player has taken the position that he wants to move. There is no release clause for Mainz but they will have a a first pick option if he were to be sold - and they have made their interest known and will look for an option to buy the player who has had a great season. They have already held talks with Liverpool. Brentford, Southampton and Wolfsburg offer options. Will need to speak to the club and see what other options he has, but he certainly burned bridges in an interview with De Telegraaf.}

2.) 15 Jun 2024 13:37:55
Brentford, Southampton and Wolfsburg aren’t exactly Madrid and City banging at our door to sign him. 15/ 20m and we move on.

3.) 15 Jun 2024 16:14:40
I’m not sure wieffer can do a much better job than Curtis or even Alexis in the 6, the midfield gets more time on the ball in feyenoord and there’s no guarantee at all that he can make the step up, he’s a tempo setting deep lying player rather than a tackling all action athletic 6, which ederson comes much closer to in terms of skill set

In the Feyenoord team I would much prefer if we got one of their defenders, geertruida is their star imo but Hartman and Hancko are also very good, ultimately I wouldn’t say any of them are really necessary considering the players we have, though I am a big admirer of geertruida, seems a great personality too.

Hello Eds, hope you are well.
I know you have covered quite a few things, it's all appreciated thank you.

It's very early into the rumour season but it looks like these are the players possibly coming in:

Homegrown 3rd Keeper
Pacho
Koopmeiners
Bakayoko

Are these, in your opinion, Liverpools top targets and then if Diaz does leave, someone to replace him?

Hoinkz

{Ed002's Note - I have covered all of this before. Try searching.}

1.) 21 May 2024 09:59:14
I'll take that.

2.) 21 May 2024 10:15:45
Hoinkz - seems like a pretty good summary of what has been hinted on here so far.

No2, CB, DM, LB, RW and if Diaz goes, LW.

Personally, if Pacho is coming in, I think he'd be LB/ LCB hybrid and that we'd still need another CB to challenge Konate who has had a disappointing season.

I don't see the point in Koopmeiners. Doesn't solve the DM problem for me. Mac Allister, Szobo and Curtis can do everything he does.

Bakayoko, Williams, Kubo, Kudus, Summerville - pretty relaxed about any of them.

3.) 21 May 2024 11:27:24
FPF

Isn’t Quansah the man to challenge konate?

4.) 21 May 2024 11:05:46
Apparently Edward’s and hughes don’t want to sign Dutch league players or feyenoord players as they’re keen on avoiding eth type mistakes.

{Ed002's Note - Nonsense.}

5.) 21 May 2024 11:09:50
Thought Konate was excellent for the majority of the season when he played. Granted he, like a lot of the team faded at the tail end. its more the injurys that's the problem with ibou not performance.

6.) 21 May 2024 11:34:15
They seem to be the most talked about targets.
Pacho will be able to cover CB and LB, Tsimikas, may leave and Beck may be given a chance, but Gomez can cover the whole of defence if he chooses to stay.

Koopmeiners is a good player, not a pure DM, but a good option in midfield. Varela or Weiffer for DM maybe.

7.) 21 May 2024 11:48:08
Agreed on Koopmeiners - looks a class player but I'm not sure he fixes our DM issue. Yes he can play there but why would you, that's the type of thinking that hampered MacAllister early in the season.

8.) 21 May 2024 12:03:05
Just posting a rumour which is doing the rounds on twitter, I refuse to call it x, makes it sound like a blue movie site.

9.) 21 May 2024 12:04:00
17 season when slot played a 433 koopmeiners played as the 6 but I think he would be deep lying roaming with Trent cutting ito midfield judging off his previous tactics.

10.) 21 May 2024 12:44:54
Navy, I like Quansah. He's been exceptional this season. But, I am not convinced he will be quick enough (short burst) to be long-term first choice. He could of course prove me wrong but the Premier League is utterly unforgiving when it comes to speed and agility of defensive players.

June, Konate was poor in the main. He had a couple of standout performances like Arsenal at home but in the main, he was poor by his high standards. He needs to spend less time on Insta modelling and get back to focusing on his game.

11.) 21 May 2024 13:32:21
Koopmeniers looks a good player but don't think he what we need, doesn't solve the dm issue and lack of physicality there. unless someone unexpected leaves.

{Ed001's Note - when he played for Slot he played as one of the 2 deeper midfielders. Slot has never really played with a true DM.}

12.) 21 May 2024 18:06:35
Based on how the season ended, I’d argue Konate is the one to challenge Quansah! Ibou has pace but Quansah is better in every other facet technically, physically and intellectually.

Hello Eds.

With Diaz possibly leaving, have Liverpool looked at any replacements for him?

And with Mario Hermoso having his contract up at the end of the season, would Liverpool look to him as a defensive reinforcement, along with another CB coming in with him?

Hoinkz

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have been looking at versatile forwards but they do already have Jota and Gakpo who are similar to Diaz. There will be more pressing priorities.

Hermoso is of no interest to Liverpool and heading elsewhere.}

1.) 03 May 2024 15:41:13
Doak looks good.

2.) 03 May 2024 16:08:56
I’m not sure if Doak is ready. I think he needs a loan to get regular games and work on his end product.

He’s a long way off Diaz, Gakpo, Jota, Nunez and Salah.

{Ed002's Note - Doak is a RW and will possibly stay to provide cover for whoever replaces Salah. Else a loan might well be a goof way to build up experience.

3.) 03 May 2024 17:09:16
On what I seen of doak this season he well off it at min. will improve no doubt but he has fair bit to go imo. I'd send him on loan if possible.

4.) 03 May 2024 20:51:13
Where did it say that Diaz is possibly leaving and if so, who says we are looking to offload him?

5.) 03 May 2024 22:09:00
Who could even afford Diaz and at what price point.

6.) 03 May 2024 22:13:36
Didn't doak do his ACL?

7.) 04 May 2024 10:07:33
Good question Oli - an unsubstantiated comment that Diaz might be leaving and off we go. Diaz’s dad is keen for his son to play in Spain, which is fair enough, but little relevance in terms of Diaz’s actual contract and what his employers might want. Of course it’s a rumours board so people can always say it’s a rumour I suppose.

8.) 04 May 2024 11:10:50
Diaz is the only one who’s shown any semblance of form recently, and the only player we have currently willing / able to take players on. He certainly needs to improve the end product, but right now is the only player that gets me off my seat. I’d be gutted if he left.

9.) 04 May 2024 15:25:37
For a 17 yr old Doak looked sensational, problem is people were expecting him to be the finished article. A serious talent.

10.) 04 May 2024 21:32:53
Salah is going no where.

19 Sep 2023 09:49:41
Hello Eds, hope you are well.

Bit of a wild one this one but any interest in Jacob Greaves of Hull City, Vice Captain of the club and has won young player of the year, the last 3 years running.

Left Footed Centre Back that can cover LB.

Any interest from Liverpool at all or any other clubs?

Thanks.

Hoinkz

{Ed002's Note - There is interest from elsewwhere but not Liverpool.}

15 Aug 2023 09:16:35
Hello Eds, a name I've not seen mentioned is Caqueret from Lyon. Any interest in him at all?

Hoinkz

{Ed002's Note - Not from Liverpool.}

1.) 15 Aug 2023 10:04:08
Cheers Ed, looks a very tidy player.
