Time to end elliott’s loan and maybe wirtz can learn a thing or two from him.

I can't believe but wirtz has so far been a downgrade on elliott. I was a firm believer that he need to be on the wings but boy i was so wrong. He is so far from a 120m player right now its bonkers.

Isak i expected to be slow as he has no match sharpness.

We missed ekitike today and slot was right his stupidity did hurt us today.

Also chiesa should have started he would have been such a good outball. Clearly our most inform player

Salah am not sure what is wrong but surprised he is not taking on defenders.

I don't who we play centre back but konate has to go. An absolute liability of a defender that makes even vvd look bad. VVD was also leggy today. At 34 we have to see his game time.

Macca is way off the pace i am not sure if he is playing with a knock but he is so slow.

Gravy best in the world. The whole game it was just him everywhere. Probably had 100+ touches and passes today

Too much ball with konate and vvd don't really know what we are supposed to be doing. Possession stat is crap when 50% time ball is with vvd and konate

Szobo was OK. I sometimes feel he should be selfish he has a banger of a shot he should just shoot when he has the ball at the edge.

Kerkez - probably first okish game.

Slot - i don't know what this new style is but I want to switch asap to last years style. This isn't really good and tbh we could have easily lost 4-5 games had other teams been more potent in front of goal or we didn't had Ali!

Couldn't disagree with anything, bar maybe Wirtz a little bit. He's been poor, but there's still been flashes of brilliance. Give him time as well.

There is literally nothing, not one thing that Wirtz could learn from Harvey Elliott.

That’s like saying Mo Salah could learn a thing or 2 from Anthony. Chalk and cheese.

Wirtz hasn’t been great so far I admit but let’s not try to make out that Elliott was any better. He wasn’t. Wirtz is an elite level player who is a full international regular and has won player of the year in Germany for the last 2 years running, he just hasn’t settled yet. Harvey Elliott is a mid table player who looked totally out of place in a Premier League winning side.

Wirtz is a very good player he has to play everygame so he gets to understand the English mentality takes the knocks but learns to give it out . The problem is the team are carrying passengers some not their fault some it is their fault needs addressing by Arne . I do think it will come together very soon after all it is a new half of the team .

Someone really needs to tell Wirtz to get his shot away sooner for me that’s all he is missing. Get it out of your feet and let a shot off and things for him will start to change for the better.

I’d happily argue against anyone that the longer the team has been coached by the current set up- the worse our performances have got.

The management need to make big decisions. Salah is not undroppable, he is also getting older. The balance is all wrong. It seems that the players are focused on passing the ball to Salah, even if they are players in better positions. Jones needs to start over McAllister (never thought I would say that) alongside Grav and szob further forward. Have Chiesa on the left or right, he looks the fittest of the attackers. Finally they need to be passing the ball are bit faster and with some direction. At lot of the times the passing was wayward and to slow especially in the middle.

I've found the Mac Allister situation really odd.

He's not had a pre-season, clearly looks undercooked, yet he is playing a lot.

He is not the best at commanding his box, but for us these were not the skills he needed that much. However, we also have to remember he hasn't really played too much senior football, and I am pretty sure he will get better with more experience. Eventually, he will come good for them. He hardly ever let us down, and I will always love him for that. Also seemed like a genuinely nice guy.

He was so bad he scored the winning penalty to win the Carabao Cup in 2022! the above goalkeeping record could stand for a very, very, very long time?

He has the LFC record of the most saves in penalty shoot outs (6) and the most penalty wins in shoot outs (4)

Plus Brentford is currently winning 2-1? (incidentally amorim managed 32 PL games, and has only 34 points from those games) .

tough one with Wirtz, it I think the midfield worked better on Saturday so McAllister gets the nod with Wirtz coming on second half along with Isak. Chiesa deserves his start. played excellent on Tuesday.

Swap Wirtz for Macca and Isak for Chiesa. Isak will get 60-70 minutes unless we are losing in which case he might even play more.

Wirtz needs games. He is an amazing player we just need him to find his feet. He’ll only do that by playing as much premier league football as possible.

Agreed although I'd be starting Wirtz. Hopefully the other day was a sign of things to come for Chiesa, he deserves his chance.

Pretty much same but with Wirtz and Chiesa in place of Macca and Gakpo. Nothing against those two but Chiesa deserves his chance and I think we need creativity and mobility to get at CP. Macca is creative but not as mobile as Wirtz.

I think only positions that up for debate are who starts at rb and striker.
Think he will go with szobo at rb and start isak, cheisa to come on after hour r so . Szobo has had a few outstanding games at rb and considering that I think he will go with there.

LFC and Palace are the only two unbeaten PL teams this season so far.

Palace have not been beaten in their last 17 matches in all competitive games. They have beaten us once this season already albeit on Pens, the second final Arne has lost since joining LFC.

Only three players have breached the palace this season Odoi, Leonard of Millwall and Bowen, two prem goals conceded in 5 games. LFC has conceded 5 PL goals.

Palace "park the bus", home and away, they had the fourth lowest possession figures in the PL last season at 42.6 per cent. Glasner plays the same system as amorim 3-4-2-1,relies 100% on counter attack, dangermen are Munoz and Sarr. Only LFC and arsenal have fewer PL losses since last November.

Wirtz must come to the "Ball" tomorrow, behind Isak and MO and in front of our best midfield 3 Macca, Ryan and DOMination, though having seen all our Right Backs this season DOMination has been the best by a country mile (as Digger10 states above, GakPOW we differ? one goal 2 assists PL games, Wirtz no goals no assists, five PL games, but the team has been winning so Florian has played his part!

LFC are yet to concede the first goal in any competitive game this season thus far, a most welcome and much needed change from the last three seasons, where the defending at times was woeful for a top, top side, perhaps that's why Arne has adopted a more cautious playing style, not like Jurgens "Blitzkrieg" approach with all guns blazing!

One hopes that the Liverbird can beat the Eagle tomorrow, Chiesa for the winner as a goodwill gesture for Leoni would be just the "pick me up" for Giovanni.

So does anything think the centre back position (if not guehi even though I think he's nailed on) and definitely the centre midfield position are needed for a good solid player cos Morton gone to Lyon

I think nyoni is a few years away and just only have Endo so I do think there's a space for a talent out there.

For CM, we have Jones, Nyoni, Endo, Macca, Szob, and Wirts currently. We also have a few out on loan like McConnell who is highly rated. So to add a few, we'd need to get rid of a few as well.

Deffo Guehi in Jan instead of waiting till summer or similar if Leoni is out long term and I think another holding central midfielder will come in when Endo leaves. Perhaps Mc'Connell as you say.

I think we will go for Guehi again in Jan and possibly another CB next summer depending on Konate. I'm sure it is just paper talk but I have read that next summer we will look to the midfield and go for Wharton with Baleba as a plan B.

I would love a palace double raid and get Adam Wharton and Marc Guehi. Think that would make are squad just about perfect.
