Hearing that Barcola might be our final incoming of this transfer window barring any last minute unseen outgoings.
If true this transfer window has been shambolic to say the least.
Seeing other clubs like Chelsea, even Spurs, City, signing players after players, we seem to stand still. That could be very dangerous for us in the long run.

Bit extreme, mate. Yes, it's disappointing, but pointing to Spurs as the model club is a bit of a stretch... they finished 16th and 17th in the league past 2 seasons and have got battered in their first 2 games... splurging money for the sake of it doesn't guarantee success either.

Personally, I'd like to see us sign a couple more players...

but I'd also rather us not just sign random overpriced players who might not actually improve us in the long run... it's a fine balance, but it's much easier to improve when you finish 10th and 17th respectively last season. Keep the faith! YNWA!

Was Isak a bad egg? Was VVD? Unfortunately, players only have a few tools to try and push things. And, when we come calling, it's not necessarily an opportunity that will come back.

It's horrible, but, unfortunately, it's the way the contracts are set up, and unless they allow players to move freely (which they won't), it will continue to happen.

I actually don't see an issue with this, given how Palace normally treat their players - they screwed Guehi over last summer as well, at the very last minute, and I'd imagine Sarr has seen that and thought he won't get the move he wants by being a nice guy.

You have to put yourself in the players' shoes - imagine you were in the peak of your career and had a move like this on the table. It's probably his last chance to get a move like this.

I, for one, understand it given the club and chairman involved.
