Welcome to Liverpool Arne Slot. Your time to shine now mate. I know bugger all about this fella but let's get behind him and give him the support we gave Klopp when he first joined. Everybody deserves a chance no matter what. This time next year will be very interesting.
Considering it's his first season, I'd be delighted to get top 4. I'd consider that a successful season.

20 May 2024 08:04:59
@Salah I know it’s a period of transition but I’d say top 4 is minimum we should expect . This team was 10 points off the title this year I’d expect more signings and another push for a title . If I was vvd I would be rallying the troops for a meeting and getting all the lads on side now go play your tournaments come back fresh from breaks and we go again but with 1 year of experience behind them .

Salah, did you see Slot's sen off at Feyenoord last night? Quite emotional as well from a Feyenoord perspective. They are really happy for what he did for them and seem to be be happy for him moving to an institution like LFC to succeed essentially, the greatest manager in our modern era.

@Dhfc, let's not jump the gun here. IMO, the push for the title talk is not wise right now cos tht means you are underestimating the type of job Slot will have on his hands. There are WAY too many unknowns to consider, is what Im saying. Klopp himself said that he did not know nor had no clue how the team and the new signings will play/ perform. That statement literally applies to Slot and whatever team he is going to have, which we don't even know cos we don't know who is staying, leaving or coming in. And even if we knew, the unknowns will still be there. .

We can all be excited and so am I about what Slot can do BUT let's not start putting such pressure on him with "pushing for the title" and all that talk, IMO. Everything has its time.

My thoughts about today, while it was a very sad day to see the legend that is Klopp leave. it was also a beautiful day. Great atmosphere, sunshine, a 2 nil win, so much love around the club . the ex manager making a new song for the new manager, that's why I love this club n football in general . Looking forward to next season with new man at the helm.

19 May 2024 22:55:33
I liked the fact he said get behind Slot. Hopefully it’s a case of meet the new boss, the same as the old boss.

I wouldn't swap our time with Klopp for more trophies. We won pretty much everything under him anyway and each trophy meant a lot.

I liked the rollercoaster and the emotion rather than watching machine.

Today's speech will live long in my memory.

20 May 2024 02:02:25
Agreed Davey, I'll be rewatching that moment for a few days I think mate. Loved the speech.

The speech was special, I have already rewatched it three times.
Cried like a baby the first time, he is unbelievable as a man, and a manager, Jürgen Norbert Klopp you are a legend!
The song epitomises the man, he was all about the club, the team and the city.
Love Him.

Thank you Jurgen for 9 years of service.

19 May 2024 23:32:12
Nah, I was just cutting onions!

So, what do we all think?

Was that Salah's last game for the club?

19 May 2024 20:37:32
No doubt after seeing his post game reaction I’d say Trent’s off too.

Agree9

19 May 2024 20:46:14
Hope so, he doesn’t look the same maybe it’s a good move for both parties.

Agree2

19 May 2024 21:44:15
I didn’t see Trent waving goodbye to the crowd or anything like that?
For me he was genuinely saddened by Klopp’s departure.

Agree11

19 May 2024 22:53:43
I’m with you Paisley. Nothing about Trent’s reaction told me he was leaving. On the contrary I thought his reaction, the emotion, the tears during You’ll Never Walk Alone showed just how much this club means to him.

It's unbelievable how so many people have become body-language experts in such a short period of time. We see what we want to see so something extremely inconspicuous can be taken as a sign that a player is unhappy and will be leaving.

Did anyone see Klopps chat in the dressing room? Darwin Nunez sat head in hands and at the end it seemed like he did not want to clap for the boss. I kinda get the impression he's a bit of a child. Someone in the dressing room looks like they've put him down. Looks very uncomfortable.

New song for Slot:
He's tall, he's bald, he's not a f****** fraud
Arnie Slot, Arnie Slot.

19 May 2024 20:30:31
👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼. Don't leave your day job.

Agree10

19 May 2024 20:30:41
He’s already got a song, Klopp’s given it to us.

Agree11

19 May 2024 20:51:45
Yeah, VV and I think I'll take that one over anyone else's right now.

19 May 2024 21:46:39
It could be Rotterdam or anywhere,
Liverpool or Rome,
Wherever Arne manages,
He doesn’t need a comb.
Doesn’t need a comb.

Agree16

{Ed025's Note - i like that one Paisley mate..

19 May 2024 22:38:41
Like that one P79.

Agree2

20 May 2024 00:20:56
Jasus. Is the baldness an absolute requirement to be in the song?

We need a confident manager.

Agree4

20 May 2024 03:47:33
Leek planted that idea in our heads, Davey. So I would say yes, baldness is an absolutely requirement to be in the song.

Agree2

20 May 2024 04:52:57
So we'll all be die hard fans next season, on another note has anybody figured out that our new managers name is an anagram that spells earn lots, good omens and all that.

Agree1

20 May 2024 11:00:41
He came from Rotterdam to liverpool,
Now liverpool's his home,
And two things are for certain,
He will never need a comb.
And he will never walk alone.
And he will never walk alone.

9 years. My youngest was 4 when he arrived.

Literally all I can say is thank you

Bringing 3 kids up on the wrong side of the east Lancs, as scousers has been made so much easier by Jürgen.

We've so many great family memories and European road trips it's incredible.

Good luck Jürgen. #ynwa.

19 May 2024 19:23:14
Wow that was emotional! Not going to lie had to hide a tear in the pub.

{Ed025's Note - nothing wrong with that mate..

19 May 2024 19:43:28
I was cutting onions also, however once again Klopp made me smile and see the positives! Jürgen Norbert Klopp, thank you, YNWA.

Agree5

19 May 2024 19:54:10
Truely blessed to have that man as our manger for 9 years.

Agree7

19 May 2024 20:16:05
Klopp is a beautiful human being. I’m not going to lie I got emotional during the send off after the match. The guy literally sang the song of Arne Slot and got the fans to join in. Then urged the fans to get behind the new gaffer.

Klopp, it was a privilege to have you as a manager. Thank you for making us fans walk with our heads held high. Thank you for the Champions League. Thank you for the Premier League. Thank you for all the other trophies we won. Thank you for some unforgettable nights. And thank you for turning us from doubters to believers.

YNWA Jurgen Norbert Klopp.

Agree12

19 May 2024 20:54:16
For me, I thought it would be worse with the onions BUT I think all went well.

Nice touch from Klopp to welcome Arne Slot to the club with a really good song, as well.

Again, honor, dignity and care for others till the very end!

Agree7

19 May 2024 23:38:44
He delivered exactly what he had promise to all during his first interview "turn the doubters into believers"

That's a real top bloke right there.

Final season. We won only one. But I believe most of us believed we should have won more, even the league title.

I love you man!

Incredible scenes and a great speach from Klopp, one I can only describe as, real? he spoke from the heart and always has done in my opinion. He's one of us, always was and always will be. Now get that statue up. Some people are daft enough to not appreciate a legend of the club but the vast majority of us are well aware of what he's done for us and how far he took us. Not just a great manager but a great person. He will be missed.

Agree4

20 May 2024 10:54:52
I have it on good authority that Jürgen was a bad, bad man forever telling lies, tapping players up and coveting the Chelsea Academy. As a matter of fact, I read That frequently on this very site.
