I thing is absolutely clear over the last 3 weeks.
The ITKs are not in the know.
No mention of Salah and Slot is still here.
No one knows what is really or going to happen.
Edwards and Hughes don't even know what is happening so how can anyone else.
What we all know is that we are rubbish!

Not quite accurate that..
One of the ITK posted about Salah just after it happened ... Not their fault it gets lost in all the replies or new threads...
What have they posted that hasn't happened ... They said meetings have happened and Slot is here til end of season.
Did I sleep through the remaining games... good chance of that at the moment.. but the season is still going on, yes .. if he starts in the job in August .. come back and have a gripe then ...

You were told he wanted out last summer, but that was laughed out of here. You were told around December, after his rant, he wanted out of here. The 2 people who said both of these said he will leave in the summer.
I know because I was one of them, not our fault, most only believe Carra. ??
06 Apr 2026 13:43:26
It's a rumours site, Molby. I don't think anyone has ever suggested they know everything 100%. The ITK tag has been added by readers, not the posters themselves.
06 Apr 2026 16:23:54
It's a rumours site, mate, take everything with a pinch of salt, and a punch of sugar. ITK's are only relaying info heard through the grapevine. They can't guarantee anything, nobody can. Most of the time, the info they share is little more than an educated guess or personal opinion from somebody who's in, around or close to club.
Nobody really knows what goes on behind closed doors. No need to be hitting out at people doing what they can.
05 Apr 2026 15:43:55
Certainly looks the case that Slot's lost a large part of the dressing room. Surely keeping him there just makes things worse for him and everyone else. Looks like stubbornness and egos of those above him.
Dreading the PSG game. We could be in for a proper slapping.
Just hope we can somehow keep the score down to give us some kind of chance at Anfield. I know the ITKs are all saying that he won't be gone until the end of the season, but is it not possible that Werner or Henry could jump in, have him gone early?

I certainly hope so, Eli, but honestly I reckon it can only come down to a balance of money making. If we sack Slot now we have to pay him off until the end of the 26/27 season. Bit of the agreement is there for him to leave mutually in the summer, it might retain his reputation and save us money, win for both.
Balance that out against the money from CL qualification. Whilst our form is dreadful, there is still a reasonable chance we finish top 5 whilst keeping Slot in place.
Thus, a on balance of imagine Hughes and co reckon keeping Slot is the best chance of making/retaining the most amount of money.
Almost no point in changing now. Had we been miles off it at the halfway stage, I reckon they would have changed it up, but they stuck instead of twisting and now they need to hope it pays off.
Either way, massive changes incoming this summer, at least I really hope so.
05 Apr 2026 22:13:07
Pet hate of mine that saying "he's lost the dressing room". Im not even talking about Slot. I mean, when I hear it been said about Any manager. To me, it just gives players carte blanche to put in brutal performances and face no repercussions. And Im not naive, I know the way football goes, but it just has never sat easy with me.
06 Apr 2026 02:26:08
100% Ekitike, he lost it back in November, it's been clear as day for months, it's just sad the club refused to address it, we could have saved this season months ago.
Westwood, Whilst I've been more critical of others when it comes to FSG and money, I don't think it's the reason for not sacking Slot.
His severance package can't be worth more than 10 million, missing out on the Champions League will cost us something in the region of £120 million.
Florian, whether you like it or not, losing the dressing room is very real and in this case it happened months ago.
06 Apr 2026 07:50:07
Pure guess work either way. Obviously, no-one knows, but what other practical reasons would there be to keeping him now? Yeah, his severance might be low in comparison, but it's still £10m you'd rather keep. What if you pay it off, and an interim also doesn't get CL? Then you've lost on both fronts.
It's still possible to win on both.
Either way, he should have gone in 2025. Going to be a tense end to the season as whoever comes in is going to need to start all over again.
06 Apr 2026 09:12:08
Not wanting to admit failure is probably a big factor, Westwood, for Hughes and Edwards,
From the board perspective, it could well be that the director of football is on his way at the end of the season. If that’s the case, why would the board let him decide anything right now in terms of things like coaching appointments or future transfers? If it’s true Richard Hughes is going, I’m surprised he hasn’t been put on gardening leave.
It felt, with the January business, or lack of, that we were in a standstill. I’ve only seen that in business when you’re in M&A territory or when there’s a strategic review going on, and there are likely to be changes at board or senior level. These guys are hedge funders, so they’re not bothered by short term bumps, they’re looking at the investment long term.
06 Apr 2026 18:01:18
Very true overkill, I've maintained for years that FSG's main goal is continued revenue growth. Trophies are essentially a bonus. They know that staying competitive in the top 4 and bagging the odd title/cup win is more than enough to maintain that growth.
05 Apr 2026 05:27:52
Hi Liverpool family, I own up, I hold my hand up, it's me. I am the one at fault for all this.
Let's not absolved ourselves of this blame. We were the same supporters who cheered Slot when he won league title. We were urging FSG to give him budget and sign him 10 yr Contract.
FSG merely doing what we want. In end we have no one to blame but ourselves. We are the real ones who let the club down.
Now who else join me to hold your hands up and take a good look at ourselves? Hands up.

Good sense of humour. Now put the bottle down and go sleep it off.
05 Apr 2026 10:11:37
Nope. I said it was a poor league last season and one of the lowest league winning points tallies, plus said we were looking worse and worse as time went on, and got admonished for it.
The most I ever supported Slot was his first 6 months, and it diminished from there onwards. So, in some crazy world where what we write here did have some impact, no, I would take absolutely no responsibility whatsoever.
I'm used to having to make tough decisions, sacking people, and in my world Slot would have been replaced months ago. Unlike our management, I'd also have taken the hit on the chin from my line management for hiring a dud.
05 Apr 2026 11:07:35
Not sure of that. When Arne took over, it took away some of the risk with Klopp's style of play, and made us solid, but also a fluid attacking edge with different approaches through the games.
Trouble is, the more we moved away from Klopp's style to Arne's, the worse we looked, so after February last year, I think many were getting a little concerned at how we were faring.
05 Apr 2026 15:53:42
Teams were scared of playing us when we had Jurgen in charge. Now teams can't wait to play us under Slott.
05 Apr 2026 20:35:03
HappyPeter is clearly Arne Slot.
05 Apr 2026 04:50:56
At the game yesterday, it was a shocking capitulation after a decent start.
I said to my boy whilst it was still 0-0 that Gravenberch was lazy, leaves us wide open on the centre of the pitch, and when he does clear the ball he persistently gives it back to the opposition.
For me, not a Liverpool midfielder.
Jones is poor, lacks vision, loves one turn too many and he reminds me a bit of Adam Lallana, not a Liverpool midfielder for me.
VVD is done. He is not still world class, his reading of the game has become poor, his once quick thinking is now ragged at best. I’m sorry but I think his time is up; I would sell to the Saudi or American Leagues now whilst we can.
Jacquet has been bought to start by the way, not to learn and steadily grow into the team. We desperately need a solid pairing at the back.
Konate is horrific, erratic at best, poor timing, poor decision making, and nothing to do with Slot and his coaching. He has always had a brain fart in him. Not good enough for LFC.
Right back is our real weakness. Teams target our left side and I’m sorry but Bradley is not the answer, injuries to one side, he is also erratic, error prone, lacks guile. Frimpong is not a defender but I like him in the squad as back up width and speed that’s all though.
We are desperately for a Kayode or Gertruida type to bring consistency at RB.
I was home from the Middle East for 2 weeks, spent decent money for the ticket and to travel there yesterday. It’s 6 hours of my life I will never get back. I won’t watch Liverpool again until Slot is gone. Also, don’t expect this to quickly improve when a new manager commences. There are big problems in the squad, glaring deficiencies that requires significant change, and the old guard needs to be gone. I think the new manager must have a personality, have the aura of a leader, rule with an iron fist whilst quietly encouraging the individuals in the squad. We don’t need another coach or part-timer at the helm.

Linked with Palestra again today, so at least that obvious rb deficiency has been picked up by our transfer panel. I also hope for more of a manager than head coach in the future, as this structure of no accountability has been a huge failure. You can still have a director who works alongside the manager and does the commercials.
I also agree a new coach won't necessarily turn us straight into league winners as City, Utd, and Arsenal will also improve over the summer, but I'm hopeful we'll at least see some better football.
05 Apr 2026 09:03:05
Hard to argue with any of that. But, these players are not playing for this manager. They are better than this, and they should be more professional, and remember who they are playing for. I can't think of a manager in the PL who has managed to keep his job this long, serving up shower after shower.
05 Apr 2026 09:14:25
The directors know they've messed up as well, I think, Flyer. It's the only rational explanation why they haven't fired Arne by now. They don't want to admit their collective failings. The character of quite a few players is lacking, no doubt about it, but they tend to stick together and throw their hands up in the air rather than getting stuck in.
05 Apr 2026 21:44:46
Grav should be moved on in the summer. Not an 8, and doesn't want to play 6. Giving him 300k a week was a ludicrous decision. We don't learn from our mistakes.
05 Apr 2026 00:54:13
Ekitike is exactly the type of personality we need to be completely removing from this team, you can already see he’s going to be the type who throws out his toys to get a move when the ‘big boys’ come calling.
His attitude and general decision making is absolutely atrocious and it’s largely being masked because he’s seen to be doing well in this abysmal team. He’s scored a few goals and thinks that’s enough and now he has free rein to meander around, complain and moan, jog back, because he’s scored a goal or two.
He’s done ok, but he’s the exact type of personality that will absolutely rot the squad from the inside without any leaders in the team. I know that may sound over dramatic, but I can already see the seeds being planted which will grow into the exact opposite of what Klopp created here.
Yeah Salah needs to be moved on, but I think even more so than his goals and assists, his example/workrate is going to have a significant impact on the squad. Yes he’s thrown his toys out a few times, but largely he’s a consummate professional. If we lose Robertson too, who actually is our professional, level headed leader? I don’t think it’s Virgil.
We have cut out that workmanlike balance to the squad, we don’t have anyone everyone looks to for some strength and steel, hence the absolute collapse every time we lose a goal.
Slot needs to go and I’ve always expected him to go at the end of the season, these cups and the CL I believe have been thought of as ‘bonuses’ with the main and only realistic goal of achieving CL next season. Hence the lack of movement with his role. Even when he goes though, we still have a serious issue with the squad in general.
I’m not overly excited or convinced by Alonso, in fact I think his soft nature is exactly what we don’t need. However, I think his ability to build unknown players and work with the squad/ youth in general is the type of manager we need, rather than someone who’s asking for another £200 million. I think Simeone has largely lost the passion we once had, but Simeone of old is exactly what we need. Barring Enrique I don’t see any outstanding or exciting candidates.

Hugo can take Frimpong with him.
05 Apr 2026 15:57:46
Bob, this is what happens when players go to national sides and are around certain players who play for a big Spanish team !!!!
05 Apr 2026 16:20:59
Fans on here can go overboard with some things. Ekitike has that French ego, but he's also very young. He is a great linker, but out of form, and the whole team is horrendous under this coaching set up. We do need better personalities though to help the younger ones mature.
In terms of Alonso, he has actually won things and his teams look good. I don't think he's soft in nature at all - you don't become an elite player and manager by being soft.

We are going to get battered by at least 5 goals against PSG in the first leg.

You're being generous, StEtienne...
05 Apr 2026 09:45:24
I think our defence will be even more generous...
05 Apr 2026 16:00:20
There will only be one person happy we are playing PSG. Can you guess who it is?
Here is a clue: A.S.
04 Apr 2026 20:53:53
A little bit of info for you, and this one actually joins a few dots. A mate of mine works in event services, but it's only a part-time gig so he moonlights down Ladbrokes on Priory Road. He said John Henry has £100 mil on Liverpool to finish outside top 5. Apparently he placed the bet back in August at 7/1.

05 Apr 2026 06:19:33
It's April 4th. You're 3 days too late.
05 Apr 2026 08:09:53
Lol - That bet would seriously dent a bookies profitability. Ladbrokes owner Entain reported strong 2025 results, with underlying core profit (EBITDA) reaching £1.16 billion. I am sure, if it did happen, and LFC did finish outside the top 5, then there would be some investigation, and, if found guilty, god knows what further implications could be dropped on LFC.
I doubt JH is that stupid to hurt one of his prized assets to make 700m personally whilst losing the club over a billion.
05 Apr 2026 09:04:25
Would also be highly illegal, KC, and no way would Ladbrokes take a 100m wager.
04 Apr 2026 19:55:10
My dad tells me Alonso won’t be joining without Champions League football. He’s not ITK, just his opinion. What’s people’s thoughts?

Could be a massive factor, all depends on what other offers come his way imo, only time will tell.

Roy Hodgson it is then.

I think it's past your bedtime Crabby.
04 Apr 2026 19:40:45
I'm sorry but the absolute cheek of Szoboszlai having a go at the fans at full time. The fans have paid their hard earned money to watch that embarrassment today and he's surprised they're leaving after an hour when we're 4-0 down?!

Well, between that and Ekiteke swapping shirts, it's a level of disrespect that is unforgivable. Horrendous behavior.
05 Apr 2026 02:55:42
Szoboszlai is a show-off and far from the high-caliber player he is given credit for being by fans. All this talk of new contracts to be given to the likes of him, Gravenberch, Konate etc., - they're all happy-go-lucky, entitled toads who lack the sheer skill to paper over their lack of competitiveness. More than happy with the lifestyle, but unable to battle for Liverpool FC.
05 Apr 2026 06:22:21
I agree w u, Lowe. He's becoming a bit of a show-pony for me who isn't as good as he thinks he is. We have a team of prima-donnas this season.
