So disappointing and let’s be frank for the money spend pretty disastrous few games.

Another poor day at the office. We lot of problems but we look like conceding everytime opposition enter final third, that's my biggest worry. Utd couldve had 4r5, chelsea and palace the same.
Konate, gakpo and szobo our best players I thought. Bradley, kerkez, mac, salah v poor.
Early days so far as regards title but v hard to see us defend it at min.

Digger, it wasn't a good game. The second half irked me the most. After Cody's shot hit the post early in the 2nd half, I don't think we created any clear cut chances till Gakpo equalized. That is very concerning to me.
Szobo, Gakpo and Macca played well. Special mention to Macca who looked fitter so hopefully, he can keep getting stronger, something I think he needs. As for the title, still too early to start witing anyone's obituaries. Now for those who want to pack it in then, do so. Don't get triggered when you get called out for being weak when things get turned around. Cos they will.

Oli, you can’t win a title in October/ November, but you can certainly be out of the race by then as we have seen multiple times. 4 abject defeats on the bounce, a weak non existent midfield and poor defending week in week out suggest we’ll see a few more weekends like this than turning things around, it looks particularly bleak given that Gravenberch may be out for a few games given he’s our most effective midfielder by a country mile.

VV, I am fully aware of that for sure BUT still, it is too early to start dooms-daying or to even say Slot should be sacked. You'll never hear that from me at this point. Trust me on that.
I just think that Slot has to change and change quickly, I agree with you. We have to start competing in games first cos we ain't doing that now, keep a clean sheet and go from there. Injuries? It's part of the season. I roll with the punches with hope that things will get better.

Just waiting for the excuses, had 2 weeks off to change things and did absolutely nothing really starting to question just how lucky we were to win the league last season. There are so many things wrong with this team and Slot and his coaching staff are the main reason for them, its going to be a long long season, on this form we'll be lucky to get the top 6 absolutely disgusting performance yet again from a team and manager who are absolutely clueless at the moment 4 losses on the bounce its sackable form if it continues any longer but we won't do that as we don't sack our managers.

For a while I have seen anything that would give me confidence about Slot.
He doesn't seem to understand the players he has or how to play them.
I really don't see this situation improving. When he was just 'minding' Klopp's team. We won. Now he has to do it his way with these bunch of players.
I wonder what the owners are talking about in the boardroom. All that money spent.
I see newspaper reports that we are going after this forward or that forward. When what is needed is a proper defence that teams struggle to get past. Not Fred Karno's Circus.
How on earth is this situation going to improve.?

It was always going to be a long, hard season regardless so no new ground has been broken here. We just got to stick it out, work harder and hopefully, Slot can get his head clear enuff to make the right changes to personnel and tactics cos that's what this is going to take.

Slot anagram "LOST" says it all!
19 Oct 2025 18:41:09
The balance of this team is just so bad and we cannot afford to be carrying Salah in games anymore, Salah is a legend no doubt but last seasons performances cannot be a justification for selection when he is churning out stinkers
Weekly…big calls for Slot to make in the coming weeks and we shall see if he is big enough to make them?
Not a fan of Slots substitutions of late, basically put every attacker on the pitch and hope for the best, when we do get a goal we throw it away because we have no shape or structure, comes across as amateurish and like he hasn’t a clue what he is doing!

Completely unfair of me, I know, but I honestly thought when Jota died, Salah would go a level beyond what we had previously seen.
I thought there would be a real fire in the players, to fight for each other and compete for every trophy available to us. In Jota's memory. But instead, it seems to have done the exact opposite.
It has been quite some time since I have seen a Liverpool team with so little fight. This is a problem deeper than I could have anticipated, and I fear what the end results will be. This is clearly no longer a blip, even the most resolute of fans will see that now.

I said about Salah being a weak link a few games back and seem to remember some posters not liking that opinion!
But he’s been dreadful this season, hasn’t offered anything. Needs to be dropped for a game or two.

Dow-ney I have to agree. I feel like I’m cheating on my wife when I say Mo needs to be the one on the bench, not Hugo.

@Mango, I didn't think that for a second cos I am fully aware of what grief can do to someone, let alone one who has to deal with it in the public eye. Did you see Salah cry his eyes out after the game vs B'mouth? Yeah, if you thought someone like that would go up a level then, you miread the whole situation wrong. Grief is NOT a source of motivation, IMO. Just my take on that.
The players are affected by Jota's loss, for sure. However, tactics are a diff. issue and that is xhere we are struggling.
19 Oct 2025 21:20:03
You can't know who and how the players are feeling regarding DJ
We aren't losing because of it, there are plenty of reasons for that. It only affects the old contingent.

Slot's lucky it's not even worse. We rode our luck for the majority of our early wins if not all of them.
We could legitimately have a Hodgson like start here if we didn't have 100x the talent he had at his disposal.
We haven't won a game off our superior tactics in close to a calendar year. We are entirely reliant on our players being so much better than the opposition they independently win us matches.
