Spurs vs Leicester off tonight. One plus is Klopp can go full strength as we won't be playing Sunday.

Slowly going into what looks like another lock down!

2.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 13:29:58
Amazing how none of you seen this coming, all planned.

3.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 13:49:47
Spot on, Longthing76. It's coming.

4.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 13:51:19
It’s starting to become the norm isn’t it Long76. Next winter will be a mess, World Cup etc
For now, I can’t see where Spurs will fit all these fixtures in, they may have to just field a team vs us, or everyone forced Into a break, a big winter break for the whole pyramid. I hope not. Football is a big part of Christmas.

5.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 14:09:52
If ours and chelseas games go ahead tonight that's still 7 from 10 midweek games played. there's no room in the calendar for a break the footballers are just going to have to go back to being more vigilante and the unvaccinated kopping on and getting the jabs. At the moment it stills seems to be a small group of teams where its got outa hand so hopefully the extra tests re-introduced can go towards sorting it.

6.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 14:34:40
is this just getting a winter break by stealth.

7.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 15:42:55
What is "all planned" peteprice?

8.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 15:46:09
Why would we not be playing Sunday? Surely that can't be discussed yet?

9.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 15:55:42
Spurs should have some players back by Sunday surely.

10.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 16:05:44
Not getting into it on here but please pop over to the conspiracy page and have a chat with ed32 and 33 then maybe you can see what I mean.

11.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 16:08:05
Why another lockdown? Are they telling us lies about the vax the majority have been having? Our country are reactive rather than pro active.

12.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 16:26:41
Spurs have a few back in training already afaik, Jadon. The postponement is as much to with Leicester cases as Spurs ones, so we could easily play them on Sunday.

Brighton vs. Man U on Saturday is postponed already.

13.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 17:14:05
Ah, I see peteprice. Yes, its called a conspiracy page for a reason 👍😏.

14.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 17:13:52
Is there currently a requirement to receive a postponement? Do teams just apply for one and who decides and based on what criteria? Hard to see what the end game is here, or how the FA is going to make up the games or fairly continue to hand out postponements.

{Ed002's Note - I don't understand the first question. The answer to the second question is the Premier League and there is guidance for the PL Board which says if a club have 14 players available from their named first team squad, then there should be no postponement although subsequent days of positive testing is now being taken in to account. I have no idea why you think it is anything to do with the FA.}

15.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 17:35:31
Apparently Spurs had more positive cases Monday. So while it's not set in stone there's a chance Sundays game could be off and maybe even the cup game vs Leicester next Wednesday though that falls under the EFL remit and not the PL.

16.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 17:45:15
Thanks ed. Just didn't know how/ who was granting postponements.

One other Q (not necessarily for an ed) : where's this conspiracy theory site? I looked all over and couldn't find it. In general, is there a list of associated sites? I don't even know what I'm missing!

I guess losing all of your freedoms over in Ireland and cancer patients missing treatments while we all panic over something which has a 99.9% recovery rate isn't conspiring against the general population/ plebs/ peasents/ chattle.

I will pray for you rover.

{Ed0666's Note - let’s keep it football guys and gals and leave the politics to the useless ones in charge.

18.) 16 Dec 2021

Conspiracy page is chock full of conspiracies. and cranks.

19.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 17:53:18
The thing about all good conspiracy theories is that they have to have a point. No matter how ridiculous they may seem, i can conceive of a world in which the CIA would want to fake the moon landing, or that George Bush knew about 9/ 11 in advance, or that Diana was murdered. It’s outlandish but it’s fun to sit around and hypothesise with friends.

What makes C. V. conspiracies so utterly mind numbing and tedious is that there isn’t even an amusing or remotely coherent belief as to why the world elite would engineer a global C.V.. Not for money, not for control, and certainly not to poison an entire population with dodgy vaxs. It’s justj dangerous misinformation for the sake of misinformation and for certain people to want to feel ahead of the curve, like they know something the rest of us don’t.

People are so far down the rabbit hole of Thatcherite libertarianism that being asked to make small sacrifices in order to work towards a common goal feels like an outrage and a violation. Had they been alive at the time, . C. V. conspirators would have claimed the Second World War was a hoax on the same grounds. It leaves me utterly despondent that this is where we’ve ended up, picking make believe fights over things that aren’t real, all the while government repeatedly passes legislation and takes action that undermines our rights and standards of democracy almost every single day, yet none of the conspiracy theorists seem to care about that.

I’m actually quite shocked that the Eds have allowed an echo chamber to develop on one of their sites for this kind of misinformation to be perpetuated. It is costing people their lives and serves to only divide the working classes further. I met a guy the other night who was a vax sceltic. As he was South Asian i felt it was my responsibility to inform him that research from a couple of months back shows that C.V. has disproportionately negative effects to people of South Asian heritage due to genetics and that he and his family were at risk of falling very ill. He couldn’t give me a reason why exactly he didn’t like vaxs, the same empty platitudes about control and ‘not poisoning my body with that rubbish’. I seriously hope nobody becomes extremely unwell because of his decision, maybe by the time it’s too late only then he will take responsibility for damage his silly little crusade will cause. Unfortunately, i don’t think collective responsibility is a concept that libertarians are capable of understanding.

{Ed0666's Note - let’s keep it football related mate please

Bloody Hell that conspiracy page, it’s full of nutters. It’s essentially a Q type rubbish show. Ed’s I was going to make a contribution this year to the site but I’ll be honest, I won’t be with that insanity as part of the site. Sorry, I won’t allow a penny of mine to go towards that type of insanity. they’re crying over wearing a mask…pathetic.

{Ed001's Note - why do you even need to tell us that? If you don't want to send anything, don't send anything, no one has asked you for anything. That site is nothing to do with me or the money that contributions go to anyway. The Patreon and donations go towards paying for WyScout so I can do the profiles, that's all. I have nothing to do with the conspiracy site either.}

How does one find this conspiracy site?

{Ed002's Note - It will be listed under the Other Talk Sites" drop down menu. But if you wish to discuss it, here is not the place.}

24.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 18:49:50
Like Ed0666 said, let's keep it just to football. I'm a vaccinated sceltic but i don't come here to discuss it, or anything else, other than football. I don't think many do come on here to discuss it either. There are valid points on both sides. We will win.

25.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 18:53:49
Can we carry on this discussion on the conspiracy page woolyback? I'd love to have a debate with you on these matters but I don't want to p ed 1 or 66 off. I've just posted so please reply and I shall make my points on there thanks.

From a sporting standpoint, postponing games until 2022 will suck because Liverpool are in good form and I want to watch them, haha.

That said, safety of everyone comes first, and if that is the decision that's made, then I'm in full support.

Does it suck? Yes. Will I get over it? Also yes.

27.) 16 Dec 2021
16 Dec 2021 19:21:39
Oh I won't Ed002. I just want to have a look.

Sorry guys. Been a stressful week and the news today had got me down. I care about this page and all of my fellow brothers and sisters, there are certain things i feel duty bound to call out when i see/ hear them. Times are tough and we need to look out for one another. Stay safe and stay healthy.

Who are we to call them mad over on that page? a bit too far no? everybody has their opinions whether we agree or not, leave them be. If you don't like it then don't visit it, miserable buggers, lighten up.

That's how it should be said roro, you aren't into it and that's that. I just don't like people insulting others over an opinion.
