Quite a few media reports that Lemar wants to go to Barcelona.

That has drawn a line under that one.

Replacing Coutinho was always going to be difficult. Money or not.

1.) 21 Jan 2018 21:44:45
A few 'media reports' draws the line under nothing.

2.) 21 Jan 2018 21:55:51
He might as well sign for us then seen as we're a stepping stone to the Catalans.

3.) 21 Jan 2018 22:04:48
Don't see barcalona wanting him they definitely don't need him.

4.) 21 Jan 2018 22:11:17
So the team that took our best player are also taking the player we want replace him lol.

5.) 21 Jan 2018 22:17:50
If that's what he wants, we'll move on.

There are a lot of fish in the sea!

6.) 21 Jan 2018 23:05:25
If we wanted him as a replacement for Coutinio I'm sure a few quite words would have been spoken on this with Barcelona before we agreed to relese Phil.

So if the reports are true
1.Barca are Wa$%^rs.
2. Rumours are untrue.
3.We are wa$%^ers not to have agreed with Barca.
4. It's all FSG hype we want him.

7.) 21 Jan 2018 23:17:11
And last week Danchez was nailed on for City and everyone knew it. Things change.

8.) 22 Jan 2018 01:51:42
can Barcelona realistically afford him? apparently Griezmann they are after as well. so him and lemar are close to another 200 mil plus big wages. they would have to offload some players to make it happen and the only one they would get rid of worth a decent amount is suarez who would barely fetch a third of that total now.

9.) 22 Jan 2018 08:39:10
He might want to go to Barcelona but do they want him, especially after signing Coutinho?

As I have said on numerous occasions.
Teams are built from the back not the front.
Today's result does not surprise me.

Top class goalkeepers can make a difference.
We do not have a top class goalkeeper.
Our defenders lack leadership.
Our midfield lacks authority.

Arsenal were poor. We have just arrived back in the real world.

Beat Arsenal 4-0 one week.
Lose 5-0 to City the next game.

This pattern will be repeated.

When the transfer window closed, these matters became apparent.

Utd have tight arse Mourinho.
City have canny Guadiola.
Chelsea have the astute Conte who knows how to defend.
Tottenham are useful.

Here's hoping for fifth place.

1.) 10 Sep 2017 00:42:44
I agree with a couple of your points but we lost to m. city away with 10 men most of the game. we made city look like a good team they've beat brighton and struggled, were lucky to get a point against Everton, and struggled to beat Bournemouth there no world beaters-- if SALAH had took them chances in the first 25mins witch i think sturridge would of burried might of been a different game--we all know the defence is not good enough and you have got to blame the manager or transfer commitie for not sorting it out in this transfer window.

2.) 10 Sep 2017 02:37:31
Yes, pretty much.

I am old enough to remember when Bill Shankly built from the back.
It was not particularly pretty, but it gave Bob Paisley a foundation stone for later success.

3.) 10 Sep 2017 08:37:10
equally Hard not to over react as it is to over-play the impact of the red card. So maybe best thing to do is just move onto the next game!?

31 Aug 2017 22:05:16
As I predicted at 11am this morning. Nothing will happen after OX transfer.
For most teams the action will move to January.
There will be a number of disappointed players waiting until next year.
The money men are not concerned with player motivation.

There are still areas Liverpool have to strengthen. This will again be apparent over the next four months.

1.) 31 Aug 2017 22:15:29
Are you looking some congratulations for a complete guess.

2.) 31 Aug 2017 22:34:45
Well said.

3.) 31 Aug 2017 22:40:02
Agreed, can the club really have been that naive that only VVD would improve defence issues, was there even any other solid 'links' to other options?

And Barkley? Lol have a Chelsea fella working for me, hanging his head in shame.

4.) 31 Aug 2017 23:45:01
It was not a guess. My post didn't appear this morning.
I am disappointed, football has become a power game amongst money men.
Oh for the days of Tommy Smith!
It really is not difficult to work out. Therefore no guess.
However I do have a lot of faith in Klopp.
I still worry about the goalkeeper and centre back position.
We will be OK, for the moment.
I still believe in building from the back.

28 Aug 2017 18:44:07
Disappointed Keira is not until 2018.
Even so we still need a top class keeper and centre back.

1.) 28 Aug 2017 19:03:11
It's navy Kieth not keria 😉.

2.) 28 Aug 2017 19:04:12
Keira Knightley is staying with me until next season sorry 😂😂😂.

3.) 28 Aug 2017 19:16:43
Could I request a loan, perhaps?

4.) 28 Aug 2017 19:17:22
Bloody spell checker. Of course I wrote Keita. I think the same thing is happening to others.
Anyway, waiting a year is better than nothing.
Lemar (which came out as Leant) interesting.
Goalkeeper, we need a commanding goalkeeper!

5.) 28 Aug 2017 19:58:01
if you think how much fees jumped this summer imagine next summer on top of Leipzig and keita having another to season.

Cracking piece of business.

6.) 28 Aug 2017 20:51:59
Hows it going dags lad haven't seen you on here in ages pal. It seems wenger is an old confused man these days nothing like the man that had the invincibles, seems he has lost his mojo anyway good luck for the season mate.

7.) 28 Aug 2017 20:57:12
OP, Keita will be unattainable next season as Bayern, Bayern and City (they were all interested this season alone) will come back and we showed great proactiveness of pipping them to his signature for next season. Many of us had already known we would not have him this season until Macca said he would sign so for me, nothing changed. I am however, chuffed to bits that next season, we now have our own Ngolo Kante set for next season. Kudos to Klopp, the TC and FSG!

15 Aug 2017 12:01:42
Our pressing need is for a top class centre half with leadership qualities and a top class goalkeeper.

It doesn't matter how good our forward line is if we keep leaking easy goals. There is no command in the penalty area.

Macca says he will be surprised if it happens.

Then why post in the first place?

{Ed002's Note - If that was what he has said, perhaps he is just giving his opinion. I have said the same thing numerous times about players clubs are interested in.}

What now that Ox is out for the coming season?

{Ed0333's Note - we all go into a period of mourning which will result in us losing all the matches we play until the Ox regains fitness in about a year and coincidentally our results improve.

As I thought, nothing.

That will be how we are at season end : Nothing.

I was surprised by the unanimous reaction. There were a lot of them. Facebook is just an outlet. The origin is 'This is Anfield'.
I cannot agree it is a reaction to losing one game. The reactions appear to have built up over time.
I hope the last two performances were just a temporary problem.
They did come in critical matches.
The goalkeeper and defence are still issues.
I was shocked at the response by 'This is Anfield'.
I just hope they are just being negative and are wrong?

{Ed002's Note - I obviously know nothing of This Is Anfield or their Facebook page. The issue is the overtly emotional responses every time the side fails to win. It is widespread if this site is to go by Yuri. We have had the manic outpouring, we have numerous Eds weeping in the background and yet again all of the Kleenex are gone (not for the usual reason). The morning (or mourning) will be calmer.}

I have just been reading comments on the 'This is Anfield' page via Facebook.
There are a lot of unhappy supporters out there. They are very unimpressed by Klopp.

News reports of the team being booed off. The season is beginning to unravel. Losing can become a habit, just like winning.
Liverpool are not winners.
Another poor goalkeeping performance. Lack of creativity in midfield. Mane is running on three cylinders.
I don't foresee a new goalkeeper or Coutinho replacement.
Real Madrid are unsettling Salah.
If important decisions are not made soon. The season is finished.

{Ed002's Note - A lot of these seem irrational reactions to losing a game. I suggest you go back to Facebook to tell them to suck it up and move on.}

Goalkeeper needed!
