Hi Eds?

Are we in the market for a CDM?, if so have we shown any interest in Rodri of Villarreal?
Have looked impressive every time i watched him play.

Evy

{Ed001's Note - Klopp has shown no interest in signing one.}

Hi Eds,

Hoping you’re doing great.
Skysports reporting., the club is set to hold further contract talks with Emre Can this month.
Do you expect it to be resolved, or you still expect him to leave?

Thanks, cheers!

Evy

{Ed001's Note - how on earth can we know that? It is his personal choice who he signs with, he doesn't even know yet!}

1.) 18 Jan 2018 17:48:09
Hoping it can be resolved, he is a good solid player and worth keeping. Make business sense rather than lose on a free. German international Centre mid who is still young. Be a regrettable move letting him go.

2.) 18 Jan 2018 19:01:05
Can needs to step up his game if he is going to stay at LFC IMO. He has a tonne of potential but he’s too inconsistent. Maybe it’s focus?

3.) 18 Jan 2018 19:03:33
I think he can achieve it all here if he stays. He has grown quite a bit in stature recently and is becoming a household name in Germany and England. We should do our best to keep him and play him with Keita and Hendo next year.

4.) 18 Jan 2018 19:41:34
Maybe a haircut like Bobby’s will improve him 😂.

{Ed025's Note - or take his teeth out and replace them with a grand piano.. :)

5.) 18 Jan 2018 19:46:19
I think Can is very good. Really rate him. Think he’s on the path for a very good level in a few years time. He will haunt us if he leaves as a good one that got away.

6.) 18 Jan 2018 20:24:33
I don't really rate him. I suspect that he would be a much better player in a slower league.

One thing I can be sure of is that if he does stay, he will be on a massive wage and I personally think that it would be better spent elsewhere.

We should take the hit and let him go, as he will never be truly committed.

7.) 18 Jan 2018 20:30:37
Haunt us Octopus?

What's he going to do, score a spooky goal?

He struggles with them as it is.

8.) 18 Jan 2018 20:31:06
Who would everyone like to sign? a realistic option or a full on dream, either or.

9.) 18 Jan 2018 20:54:41
Bellzdogg
Has to be milinkovic savic 100%
Watched the lad quite a lot this season oozes class and would be a mainstay in our team for next 10 years .
Going to be a midfield superstar next season or so .

10.) 18 Jan 2018 21:22:16
I actually like the look of Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Probably no hope of getting him in as a squad player to begin with and see from there.
He's pretty physical but can play a bit.
Only young too, with loads of room to improve - think Chelsea have a fine player there if he can avoid injuries.

11.) 18 Jan 2018 23:30:12
Or avoid Ross Barkley.

12.) 19 Jan 2018 00:52:33
Olrish Kevin 1 you've just crowd the lad it's been announced he's going to be out a lot longer than thought with his latest injury.

13.) 19 Jan 2018 01:36:43
Can has already proven he can do a very good job at the base of midfield, and was a key factor in defeating Man City in particular.

He has the physicality to break up play and help with set pieces, has the tackling skills, can distribute the ball accurately, and even push forward very effectively in attack and score goals. and he’s just 23. On the downside he’s not the most nimble due to his size, but with experience that won’t matter as much in the no.6 position, and he can sometimes dally on the ball, but that’s also something that can easily be improved.

Why would we not want him as 23 year old German international that plays in a problem position for us at base of midfield? I hope we can convince him to develop there, I can see him being a long term solution there.

14.) 19 Jan 2018 11:58:18
I like the lad from Everton, Gueye is it?
That's the second Everton player I've complimented recently, I'll have to watch it.

{Ed025's Note - i think you may be a closet blue juicer..

15.) 19 Jan 2018 16:45:08
fivestarsrus,

Sorry to hear that.
Genuinely think he has star quality.

Hi Eds,
I regular reader since 2011, really love this site.

1) Has there been any interest in any of Lovren, Henderson or Mignolet?

2) Any chance of Emre Can staying if he keeps performing like he did on Sunday?
Will be a shame seing the back of him as i think he’s a better N.6 than Henderson.

Cheers.

Evy

{Ed001's Note - 1) Why would there be? None have been for sale yet.

2) It is nothing to do with his performances.}

Hi Eds?,

Is Klopp looking to replace Mignolet?!
I’m seeing links about Roma and Brazil GK Alisson.
Can you shed a bit of light on that one?

Happy new year btw.

Evy

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

1.) 04 Jan 2018 04:37:27
Yahoo!

2.) 04 Jan 2018 07:14:36
Its a shame neither Karius or Ward gets a chance if Alisson joins. But can't complain too much either as Alisson looks one hell of a keeper. I just hope he will be worth the money and the sacrifice of Ward and Karius if he joins us. The interest seems real so hope we get him.

3.) 04 Jan 2018 07:32:25
Ed1 is the summer transfer window the more realistic time we will replace him?

{Ed001's Note - yes mate.}

4.) 04 Jan 2018 08:13:44
If he is looking to replace him, why keep playing him? It's pretty much fact he's not good enough, but if you trust Karius for the CL then why not at least give him a go. I understand if klopp doesn't trust him too, but he's younger, had less of a chance to prove himself, barely got a run of 10 games, and he was returning from an injury when he did, in a new league and country. And he's looked decent when playing recently.

5.) 04 Jan 2018 08:26:01
If we had VVD and a better keeper from the start of the season. well we still wouldn't win the league cause city is running away with it.

6.) 04 Jan 2018 08:44:25
I prefer Google myself haizan!

7.) 04 Jan 2018 09:07:28
Exactly pak, as klopp said when he first joined, you can control how good your own team is but not the quality of opposition! I take comfort in the fact that even if van dijk and alisson had come in summer it probably wouldn't have made a difference. Just focus on enjoying some of the phenomenal football we are playing and look forward to the champions league knockouts :)

8.) 04 Jan 2018 08:18:41
ed1, if klopp isn't sold on migs, is he then just protecting karius or ward by not playing them regularly?

{Ed001's Note - Karius yes, Ward was just cover and a major mistake by Klopp to keep him at the club rather than letting him go out on loan again.}

9.) 04 Jan 2018 11:06:27
Ed do you think JK realised he has made a mistake with Ward?

{Ed001's Note - I would think so, but I think he believes it had to be done.}

10.) 04 Jan 2018 11:30:17
I'm slightly surprised by this as I had come to the assumption he didn't rate karius (which shocked me as he brought him in all not that long ago) . If I'm honest I have found how it rather bizare how the whole GK situation has been dealt with.

11.) 04 Jan 2018 11:31:57
I have no problem with people making a mistake just so long as they learn from it.

12.) 04 Jan 2018 11:40:00
Bizarre is a understatement Jimmy.

13.) 04 Jan 2018 18:25:06
Really interesting that ed1. Klopp strikes me as someone who'll just do what he does, but I wonder if there is some mental fragility to Karius then that Klopp knows he needs to nurture him through? Also in this context, is it more of a factor to protect a keeper cos they are literally stood next to the crowd all game?

{Ed001's Note - he just felt Karius was being affected by the morons in the media and the morons in our support who were giving him abuse when he reacted to some of the comments.}

14.) 04 Jan 2018 21:55:14
cheers ed1.

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

Hi Eds,

Haven't seen anything about Matts hummels, and now my questions are;

-Have we showed any interest?, who are the teams interested in him?

-Is it real United have agreed £16M for him?, would be unbelievable, considering he was for many, the best CB at the World Cup.

thank you in advance

Evy

{Ed002's Note - Manchester United and Barcelona are the interested clubs. Liverpool has shown no interest and there is no agreement with MUFC.}
