I’d just like to say i am super excited about our upcoming season. Literally can’t wait to see what unfolds and how we perform this year!

Livermore you beauty!

Always rated that guy. Haha.

2.) 05 May 2018 17:00:27
Brilliant, let's hope Benitez gets a result against them next week and we beat Chelsea tomorrow, fingers crossed!

3.) 05 May 2018 17:43:19
Great win for WBA. Spurs were dire all game long and once again, Poch a. k. a The Hypocrite and Enabler, has shown that he is tactically inept and continues to do the same thing all game expecting diff. results. I guess the refs were not there to bail him out as usual and Harry Klaim and Diver Alli were not allowed to dive their way out of the dross they served up. Luckily for them. top 4 is still in their hands as it is our and if we even get a draw tmrw, Chelsea will be Spurs problem, no longer ours if they keep playing the way they are.

4.) 05 May 2018 19:09:11
Hegazi looks a decent defender very good in the air could be good squad player, need them type of defenders against the more physical approach an also aerial approach.

5.) 05 May 2018 21:52:21
Harry Kleim. Good stuff, mate, good stuff.

Hey Ed’s, a fair bit of talk about a possible Lallana move. Good player but where would you see him going if Liverpool don’t manage to keep him? Thanks :)

{Ed001's Note - I have absolutely no idea to be honest.}

1.) 01 May 2018 00:01:06
Maybe back to Southampton if they stay up.

2.) 01 May 2018 00:40:38
Marquee signing for Bournemouth maybe. He did not leave Saints on the best terms so that's a no go.

3.) 01 May 2018 06:44:31
Cheers Ed, appreciate the reply.

{Ed001's Note - sorry I couldn't help, only Spurs was where he wanted to go and who were interested but that interest has waned due to this season's injury problems.}

4.) 01 May 2018 10:11:18
Indian Buzzer, please no.

As someone who grew up in Bournemouth and massively admires what they have achieved over recent years, an injury prone highly paid 30 year old is not what is needed. They have a defence almost as old as Everton's, and too many other players getting past their peak - Defoe being a very well remunerated one. Without some inspired summer signings next season is going to be v. difficult for a club of that size.

Bournemouth have already done well out of Lallana - they lost him to Southampton aged 11 or something on the basis they got 25% of any future transfer fee. They got that big time when he joined Liverpool.

I fear we may have another Sturridge (not a Jack Rodwell) on our hands - one of the Ed's said Spurs' interest has waned, so who would want to take the risk given what he would want in wages - West Ham, Leicester (if Mahrez goes) or Crystal Palace? Any views on other Prem teams?

Let's hope he can get over his injury problems so he can either accept a role as a more than useful backup here or end his career on a high elsewhere.

YNWAed.

Ah well, more focus on the PL and CL IMO. Silverware would’ve been nice though! Still, YNWA.

The FAC is important. Do not understate it’s inportance and he importance of back to back defeats. Doesn’t get shrugged that easily.
Losing the way we did today and the lack of quality in performance is telling. We should be paying better than that come on. Midfield in poor and mane was poor again.

2.) 27 Jan 2018 22:00:05
Yeah.

Good luck with that. I have more chance of marrying Emma Watson than Liverpool have of winning a trophy in the next 5 years.

3.) 27 Jan 2018 22:02:50
You’re more zen than me, UBMR, Fuming after that performance. What other team in world football can be so amazing one game and so awful the next!?! Don’t think I’ll get to “oh well” for a while yet.

4.) 27 Jan 2018 22:05:00
We played more or less our best team.

5.) 27 Jan 2018 22:07:41
Agree if we put out a strong team like that it just shows we weren’t good enough. Midfield and defence were awful. The worst game I’ve seen TAA play for us and Moreno back to his old self. Matip and VVD poor too. The midfield 3 were a polar opposite of the City game and Mane again poor. Would like to see a change in formation with these struggles may offer more cover for the defence if we switch to 4-4-2, or even a 3-5-2. And finally why or why when the game isn’t going our way why does klopp take so long to make changes!

6.) 27 Jan 2018 22:09:37
When does Klopp's position come under scrutiny? Our midfield is non existent, our defence is still shockingly poor and our goalkeepers are embarrassing.

7.) 27 Jan 2018 22:09:48
Next year will be our year ( as always)

{Ed002's Note - My understanding is next year is due to be a year of transition.}

8.) 27 Jan 2018 22:10:35
Here we go.

9.) 27 Jan 2018 22:11:54
If we want to win trophies then we need a manager who wants to win trophies something Klopp hasn't shown since the Europa League defeat.

10.) 27 Jan 2018 22:02:48
That is a great attitude pal this club was built on winning trophies and you give o well we can go for champs league and fourth place obviously a child. Read the history of this great club son getting knocked out is not the issue the performance is the issue and that performance and the Swansea performance is not good enough from the manager and the players of LFC if your happy with that then get back to your play station or x box.

11.) 27 Jan 2018 22:12:39
Mane has been poor for a while now since return from injury but since he had a go at Klopp for putting him on with a few minutes to go he has been picked when he was not fit enough or good enough . Mo needs to move away from the right side he is being marked by two men all the time ( can't Klopp or his cronies see that ) put him in mane place and try Mane on right . Time to put jo-gomez along side VVD and TAA and robo as full backs bring in a keeper a defensive midfielder to go with Kieta and a natural goal scorer but surly Klopp will no that . Wont he?

12.) 27 Jan 2018 22:17:56
I have just been reading comments on the 'This is Anfield' page via Facebook.
Disturbing.
There are a lot of unhappy supporters out there. They are very unimpressed by Klopp.

News reports of the team being booed off. The season is beginning to unravel. Losing can become a habit, just like winning.
Liverpool are not winners.
Another poor goalkeeping performance. Lack of creativity in midfield. Mane is running on three cylinders.
I don't foresee a new goalkeeper or Coutinho replacement.
Real Madrid are unsettling Salah.
If important decisions are not made soon. The season is finished.

{Ed002's Note - A lot of these seem irrational reactions to losing a game. I suggest you go back to Facebook to tell them to suck it up and move on.}

13.) 27 Jan 2018 22:18:22
I think its been a transition club since 1990 and will continue that way.

14.) 27 Jan 2018 22:21:02
Who’s Emma Watson 🤔.

15.) 27 Jan 2018 22:22:55
You make me laugh ed002. One of the best wind up merchants in the business. You know how to push the buttons. This time the defeat was so obvious that I can't do anything but have another drink.

Cheers Ed.

16.) 28 Jan 2018 00:03:50
Ed002.

I was surprised by the unanimous reaction. There were a lot of them. Facebook is just an outlet. The origin is 'This is Anfield'.
I cannot agree it is a reaction to losing one game. The reactions appear to have built up over time.
I hope the last two performances were just a temporary problem.
They did come in critical matches.
The goalkeeper and defence are still issues.
I was shocked at the response by 'This is Anfield'.
I just hope they are just being negative and are wrong?

{Ed002's Note - I obviously know nothing of This Is Anfield or their Facebook page. The issue is the overtly emotional responses every time the side fails to win. It is widespread if this site is to go by Yuri. We have had the manic outpouring, we have numerous Eds weeping in the background and yet again all of the Kleenex are gone (not for the usual reason). The morning (or mourning) will be calmer.}

sorry not to jump on the band wagon but I truly hope we stick with Karius. I don’t believe in scrapping a player after one season. Until recently I believed Robbo wasn’t good enough and he has proved me so wrong. I hope we stick with Karius provided he can move on and improve. Then the proof is in the pudding! Either perspective, my trust lies in JK.

Definitely agree Karius could be a top keeper if he keeps improving like the second half of the season. I think his decisiveness has been his weaker area and no surprise with influence in Migs. VVD seems to have had a really good influence on Karius collecting the ball and when not to. But credit to the lad for taking the pressure of past performances and turning it around. Also, maybe taking Karius to the world up is too soon though, one slip up could imbalance his confidence and impact his performance in the next season, seeing as his confidence is only built of late.

Can would continue playing a rotation game and if we made midfield signings I doubt he’d be starting 11. He had great potential and as much as I’d like to see him develop into a great player, he might want to consider clubs who will start him regularly.

i personally like the controversy of non computerised decisions. Life is full of mistakes and luck so I’m not sure I back VAR for it’s pure accuracy. It could pave the way to sucking the life out of football with complete accuracy. Not everyone’s point of view I understand but maybe just mine :)
