Hi ed 1 is there any truth in the donarumma rumours?

{Ed001's Note - what rumours are they?}

1.) 25 May 2018 05:58:46
That where looking to sign him.

{Ed001's Note - not that I am aware of, AC Milan are looking to sell but there have yet to be anyone interested at the figures being quoted. The price is too high and the wage demands are obscene, plus Raiola's cut is even more obscene.}

2.) 25 May 2018 07:57:57
That’ll be why the paper it was in said that we was becoming his last option I take it, as nobody silly enough to pay all that for a player who we wants to go Real Madrid in the end.

3.) 25 May 2018 11:04:59
Why don't the authorities limit agent fees? Him or anyone else getting paid so much does nothing for football at all and only exacerbates certain negative parts of the game.

4.) 25 May 2018 12:34:43
I agree Bardzo the level of money that goes out of the game is shocking.

Raiola takes a large amount.

5.) 25 May 2018 14:13:50
Could any I the eds or anyone explain how it is possible for agents to be able to demand a huge fee, can it stop a transfer if the player wants it but the buying club don't agreed the the agents fee demand?

6.) 25 May 2018 20:01:57
We tried to sign him but couldn't find him

He'd dunarunna

03 May 2018 20:39:18
Ed1 except for Danny Ceballos what other midfielders we looking at?

{Ed001's Note - we did look at Jorginho, Seri, Weigl, Torreira and Lo Celso off the top of my head.}

1.) 04 May 2018 05:21:25
Out the names you mentioned in your opinion who would suit are style of play the best?

{Ed001's Note - no idea, only seen 2 of them play and I would not touch either of those from what I saw.}

2.) 04 May 2018 05:19:07
Thanks ed some decent players there👍.

3.) 04 May 2018 07:08:35
Would Brandt still be an option as he was number one target last summer, or has this interest gone now? Also is Lemar now not under consideration?

Seems the reports today will be focused on Pulisic

4.) 04 May 2018 08:48:45
Brandt just signed a new bumper deal with Leverkusen!
Lemar has been a shadow of the player he looked last season, no one will pay the 100 million € monaco are dreaming of. He plays in one of the weakest leagues where many many top players has flopped drastically in better leagues.

5.) 04 May 2018 09:06:59
Think Ed001 may be talking about Seri and Weigl who he may not be impressed with. Seri is just awful and WEigl has quality but is having a poor season.
On the other hand, I trust Klopp if he sees Ceballos as a DLP. The kid has a good passing range and shows passion and grit on the pitch.

{Ed001's Note - Seri and Jorginho I was referring to.}

6.) 04 May 2018 09:23:34
ED1 please don't tease me with the mention of Weigl. I would run stark naked from London up to Liverpool if he signed.

7.) 04 May 2018 09:47:14
I'd love Weigl at Liverpool but I think he's moving elsewhere.

8.) 04 May 2018 11:27:00
Hmm I’m not sure Weigl is better than Henderson.

Both very good at keeping the midfield ticking over but I think we need someone a bit more positionally astute and defensively sound. I don’t think we have that option in our squad right now.

Toerreira of Sampdoria would be my pick for that reason.

9.) 04 May 2018 12:16:33
Navy Keith, don't want to compare Weigl to Henderson. I appreciate Henderson and what he brings to the team as well as his leadership. Weigl reminds me of Alonso, not saying he is the same quality as there will only be one Alonso just he plays in a similar mould and that's a compliment in itself, plus he is only 22 years old.

Ed1 if you're is it true he is destined for Man City? and do we have any chance of landing him?

{Ed001's Note - who? Jorginho is the one set for City.}

10.) 04 May 2018 12:50:50
Torriera is moving to Napoli for 32 million.

11.) 04 May 2018 12:49:25
Ed1 thought I read somewhere Weigl is more or less set for Man City but could be me imagining. Where do you see Weigl's future? Dortmund, England or up in the air/ anyone's guess?

{Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry, he might be I just haven't heard that. I do expect him to end up in England.}

12.) 04 May 2018 12:57:13
Cheers Ed1 for the super quick replies, here's to hoping he ends up at Liverpool. one can only dream hey!

{Ed001's Note - I have not seen enough of to know if he would be a dream signing or not. You are welcome though.}

13.) 04 May 2018 17:10:49
I think weigl would be a good option and seem the most likely in terms of a good replacement. Think jorginho is a risk considering how most Italians get on in the premier league + it seem as though he's going to end up at man city.

As for the other Michel Seri was seen as a second choice for Barcelona after they didn't get naby i think so he can't be to bad but doesn't really play the position/ style we need.

14.) 04 May 2018 19:51:45
So how many players do you think we will end up with?

Goalkeeper - Navas and Allison have been mentioned
Right back - Ed002 mentioned this was a position we are looking at. Not sure on names
Centre Backs - the Eds have said we are not looking for a new CB
Centre midfield - Cebellos seems to be the name in the frame. Obviously Keita is joining us in the Summer. With Can looking like leaving and possibly Milner too I think we need a couple more players in this area. I'd really like to see a dynamic defensive midfielder which I think could really add a lot to the team.
Forward players - personally I think we need a decent option who can come in and challenge for a place. I've heard that we are still in for Griezman but are we attractive enough for him?

Be interested in getting an update to our real options apart from those I'm aware of already.

Any Eds or Macca care to update us?

15.) 06 May 2018 07:39:51

Three players:

Emre Can replacement (Defensive Midfielder/ Creative Midfielder)
Philippe Coutinho replacement (Offensive Midfielder/ Left Winger)
Daniel Sturridge replacement (Right Winger/ Centre Forward)

16.) 06 May 2018 11:44:33
We should have a look at Rueben Neves for centre midfield. He’s used to playing in England (and performed brilliantly on the cold November evening), has superb technique, his passing and shooting are exceptional, his spoken English is impeccable and he’s played in a very physical league as well as being head and shoulders because of his ability.

17.) 06 May 2018 14:50:46
Neves to replace Can, Ceballos for Coutinho, Pulisic for Sturridge, keep Danny Ings and Lallana and loan Solanke. No CB as we have Gomez. Sessegnon for Clyne. This is my dream and I think we could afford them.

18.) 06 May 2018 17:57:06
Hessle - it appears griezman has already signed for Barcelona according to Suarez haha.

20 Apr 2018 21:31:46
Ed is there any truth can is going Man U?

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

1.) 21 Apr 2018 03:46:44
Thanks ed another Twitter special 😂.

2.) 21 Apr 2018 08:50:15
Think City may have been the manchester club interested not Utd.

3.) 21 Apr 2018 10:45:13
Said it before, and I'll say it again, he won't improve any of the teams he's been linked with so I'd be happy if he went to them to be honest. Decent player but won't take us to the next level unless he's playing within himself right now.

4.) 21 Apr 2018 14:29:39
Or he will continue to improve and become one of the best. do know he's only 24. He'd have certainly helped not let that result happen today.

5.) 21 Apr 2018 19:18:35
Give over Kloppshop. A lot of the team had a poor game today, perhaps Klopp asked the players to be cautious, maybe the next game is too much of a distraction? Who knows, but these results happen and it's not really a problem at this stage of the season when you're 10 points clear of 5th.

6.) 22 Apr 2018 04:54:13
KloppShop, in my view there are a number of reasons why we did not get the result today, LFC themselves never got out of 2nd Gear, Moreno on the left was our weak link, I think it was the first time that back 4 played together, Ings had no luck today he could of got a penalty and that punch on him went unnoticed, West Brom scored 2 scrappy goals rather than crafted them out - I doubt Can would have made the difference today.

7.) 22 Apr 2018 10:02:25
'Only 24' really? surely a footballer at 24 should be at or near his peak? I had high hopes for Can but I don't think he's really delivered and I don't think he'll get any better at this stage. A fully fit midfield next season once Keita arrives probably wouldn't have Emre as a regular starter and he knows that.

8.) 22 Apr 2018 20:44:39
Jeesus i was just saying he'd have helped because he's a very good player. Probably our best central midfielder. He was starting every week before his injury.
And yes 24 and plenty of time to improve. I'd say 26/ 27 even 28 is most players peak.

14 Apr 2018 08:00:00
Hi ed papers reporting we hold interest in James Maddison is there any truth? Looks a cracking talent he's up there with neves and sessegnon for best player in league.

{Ed002's Note - I had to check on this so it should be correct. It seems that JM has been watched by scouts from a number of PL sides including Spurs (who have been looking at him for three years), Crystal Palace, Leicester, West Ham and Newcastle. Rangers have also taken a look I am told. In late 2015 when Maddison was still at Coventry City, Liverpool were one of the sides (with Spurs) who was looking at the player. It is possible that Liverpool has maintained that interest. As for approaches for the player, I am told that Leicester, Newcastle and Spurs have spoken with his agent and Leicester and Spurs have both spoken with Norwich. And that is pretty much all I could find out in the past hour. I suspect the player might want to ensure he is in contention to start games which seems unlikely at any of the higher-profile sides. At the likes of Crystal Palace, Leicester or Newcastle he could continue with what everyone expects to be a good career.}

1.) 14 Apr 2018 10:53:37
Thanks ed in your opinion do you think he would be a good signing for us?

{Ed002's Note - I don't know anything of the player but it is hard to see how he would get a regular game, and would that suit him?}

2.) 14 Apr 2018 11:28:31
I work with a lad who played with him and also my boss knows someone to do with him. I posted a while back when the links to us started in the papers perhaps a month ago. The player wants to go to Arsenal and thinks he will get his wish. From the lads mouth via my colleague. Ed will be more accurate as regards to interest but I believe I know what the players wants/ hopes for.

3.) 14 Apr 2018 11:43:08
Arsenal could be a good move for him depending on who there next manager is. I would think he would get a bit more game time there ahead of the likes of elny etc.

I would like him tho, for me I would rather him get a chance than wij/ can or milner in the coming seasons. Depends really who are other targets are.

4.) 14 Apr 2018 12:39:05
I don't think it makes sense for him to come to LFC. Not if we are signing the midfielders who I think we are singing. Will not get a look in. At his age he needs to be playing week in week out.

5.) 14 Apr 2018 13:00:59
Thanks ed. The hope would be that he could surprise a few like dele alli I did. But will keep an eye on him.

6.) 14 Apr 2018 13:05:50
Really good player but not at the same level as Nevas and sessegnon yet.

7.) 14 Apr 2018 13:37:18
Watched some videos of him on youtube (to get a better idea since I've never seen him play) . Seems to be a quick, slashing type of attacking midfielder - the type that we do need in the ranks. However, with his age, and the fact that we already have Wilson, Kent and Ojo able to play the same position, I really don't see the point of signing him. Unless LFC scouts and coaches make the assessment that he is already better than the 3 of them, which I do not believe to be necessarily the case.

I'd rather we continue doing what we did with Jordon Ibe. Bring the player up to the fringes of the first team and see if he will sink or swim. And then make the assessment to keep or sell. It's pointless to keep collecting players and then have them become perpetual loanees (ie. Awoniyi and Allan, amongst others) . I think Wilson, Kent and Ojo deserve to be given their assessment chances in the summer, and then be told if they have a chance, before we make commitments to new purchases.

8.) 14 Apr 2018 15:43:49
Norwich geographically is my closet club, so i do take some interest in them as well as knowing several season ticket holders. Seen him live a couple of times this season and by far he was the outstanding player on the pitch both games. Attacking midfielder through the middle is his best position according to for mentioned season ticket holders, but can play slightly deeper. From what I saw of him he kind of reminds me of Wiltshire, always looking for pockets of space always happy to receive the ball and move it again, has got a turn of pace but not lightning. He is double figures for goals and assists this season. Norwich will cash in on him come the summer. As I can remember we offered £3m when he was at Coventry, Norwich matched this and he chose them for game time, which to be fair to him was probably a smart move at the time. Think he’s worth the money being talked about, low risk signing really considering wages and resale value. But the question is would be displace Keita, Henderson, Ox, Milner, Wijnaldum? Also is he then blocking Woodburns route to the team?

{Ed001's Note - bit harsh comparing him to Wilshere. Maddison is a much better player.}

9.) 14 Apr 2018 16:01:29
Was thinking of Wilshire when he was so promising at a similar age. But he went off the rails, didn’t live the correct lifestyle, believed his own hype and had injuries. But I think he had talent and traits similar.

{Ed001's Note - except he had a terrible first touch, which is what caused the injuries due to overstretching to control the ball. Why do people ridiculously overrate such an average (at best) player?}

10.) 14 Apr 2018 17:21:28
Agreed Ed1 regarding Wilshere. The word 'talent' shouldn't be in the same sentence as him, the amount of times I have heard people say he had potential, I don't know what player they've watched because he's always been pretty useless when I've seen him play. He is to be quite frank terrible. I couldn't believe my eyes last summer when a few people was calling for us to sign him lol and saying how he'd be an improvement, my word!

Maddison I haven't seen play so I can't judge him but he sounds like an exciting young lad. I just don't see the need in signing such players when we have our own youngsters dying to get their chances, unless this lad is the next Salah kind of player I think we should leave it alone and concentrate on our youngsters.

11.) 14 Apr 2018 17:29:44
Sorry Ed know I shouldn't laugh but whenever someone mentions Wilshere you remind me of Will Ferrells character in Zoolander having a meltdown because nobody else sees Zoolander is actually a bit rubbish!

12.) 15 Apr 2018 01:25:45
Cracking ed002 ". and that is all I could find out in an hour" - love that.

{Ed002's Note - It is important to ask the right folk if you don't know.}

13.) 15 Apr 2018 01:38:15
For sure ed002. You must know an awful lot of the right people to find all that out in an hour. Do these people ever ask you why you want to know or do they know why you ask?

{Ed002's Note - No, no one ever asks. They know me.}

14.) 15 Apr 2018 10:37:46

You have a dream job by the sounds of things and the rodeo clown on the side

24 Dec 2017 10:16:45
Ed 1 remember a while back you saying you would have signed trapp before he went to PSG just wondered if we've ever shown an interest and his he available?

{Ed001's Note - no interest I am aware of, though they would sell him.}

1.) 24 Dec 2017 10:34:00
Thanks for reply ed hope you and the other Ed’s have good Christmas and new year 👍.

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate, I hope you and everyone else on the site have a great Crimbo etc too.}

Hi ed few reports that where trying to get deals done for Ryan Sessegnon and James Maddison any truth in it?

{Ed002's Note - Try the search engine.}

27 Dec 2017 18:47:51
The Ed's never ruled the vvd deal out just said it would be hard if Southampton didn't want to play ball.

27 Dec 2017 12:23:49
Ed1 was wondering what your thoughts are about the ox on how he's started his Liverpool career.

{Ed001's Note - I have been really impressed with his attitude, the maturity he has shown in interviews and approached games has been excellent. His performances are improving too. Not yet done enough to nail down a place, but he is getting there.}

1.) 27 Dec 2017 15:55:40
Couldn’t of said it any better eds I think he’s been good so far.

09 Dec 2017 17:16:49
Ed 1 I know there's been a fair few center backs mentioned but who do you personally think would be the best fit to help solve are problems?

{Ed001's Note - probably Koulibaly.}

1.) 10 Dec 2017 07:24:51
Yeh looks a cracking defender ed . What’s your opinion on gimenes? Being on a free we would be daft not to look at him.

{Ed001's Note - do you mean Jose Gimenez of Atleti? If so I like him a lot but I don't think we are going to get him, sadly.}

2.) 10 Dec 2017 08:19:19
Yeh mate I take it he’s going somewhere else?

{Ed001's Note - I don't know off the top of my head where he is going, but I know both Barca and Real Madrid would take him in a heartbeat. My hunch is he will move to the other side of Madrid.}

3.) 10 Dec 2017 08:28:03
Talking about DM's or the type that Klopp wants (one who is dynamic and can break up play, win possession and launch attacks), I saw Obiang vs Chelsea and he was very good for them. He has decent passing range, physical in the tackle and can get forward when the oppo. presents itself. I know Klopp looked at him last season as well, cos you said so hence, the reason I focused on him during the game. Do you think he has the abilities that Klopp is looking for and if the interest is still there? Cheers, man.

{Ed001's Note - personally I like him and said so last season that I think we missed out. The interest has yet to show any signs of being revived but I would see it as the club believing he is potentially a little too similar to Keita, though I would disagree on that.}

4.) 10 Dec 2017 14:02:26
Thanks, Ed. Like you, I do not see any similarities btw Obiang and Keita myself but go figure. I am with you on Obiang cos he is very talented and never seems to be out of position. We'll see if Klopp goes back in for him again.

Ed are the club back talking to Leipzig about doing a deal today.

{Ed001's Note - it was not the club talking to RBL, I have said this repeatedly. Keita is the one pushing to get the move done.}
