A couple of stuff I've heard on French news gents. Firstly regarding Thomas Lemar, Monaco wants us to cough up £90-£100m. That's absolutely ridiculous, but any team will be holding a knife at our throats now, since we sold Coutinho and we got the dosh. God knows what going to happen on this one.

Last thing it's regarding Sturridge. Apparently Marseille are also interested now and they might join the other teams to sign the striker. Whether they are willing to meet that £30m price tag, we'll see what happens.

Anyway guys have a great game day. C'mon reds!

Eds, Guys,

According to RMC Sport (French sport channel) it's going to be between us and Arsenal for Lemar, obviously depending on Sanchez's departure to Man City.

I know it's pretty frustrating not knowing if we'll be replacing Pipco this window, but whatever I can find out from French Sport channels regarding Lemar's potential I'll relay to you guys.

Personally I'd love him to sign for us, only time will tell reds.

1.) 09 Jan 2018 23:05:48
Do you think that if sanchez was to be sold this month that would trigger Arsenal to bid for lemar with a stupid amount may make us bid or just say have him?

{Ed002's Note - Arsenal are interested in Lemar.}

30 Aug 2017 19:28:53
From SFR-Sport (the TV channel, not twitter), talks are still ongoing with AS Monaco regarding Thomas Lemar and at the moment the Jardim is the one reluctant to let another key player go, but there's a good chance the deal will be done. Fingers cross reds.

05 Jun 2017 17:58:57
Eds do you think the club will announce both Salah and Van Dyk by Friday or are we going to have to wait a little more to add to the suspense?

Keep the hard work guys, thank you.

{Ed025's Note - im not sure to be honest adrian..

1.) 05 Jun 2017 18:21:04
Agreements have been reached between both players and Liverpool. Now it is probably about how the repayments will be made to both their clubs for the transfer fees.

Liverpool may have to bite the bullet on both deals and fork out quite a large sum upfront for both players so negotiations between the clubs will probably continue for quite a bit.

Let's hope all goes well.

2.) 05 Jun 2017 18:20:16
Nothing to be worried about with Salah is there ed? Formalities?

{Ed025's Note - i would,nt think so mate..

3.) 05 Jun 2017 18:13:17
Can you announce transfers before the window opens July 1st?

4.) 05 Jun 2017 19:13:00
Yes Mane you can. We announced Solanke did we not?

Do you guys expect anymore signings or do you think Klopp is happy with the current squad?

I know its a question that you get asked over and over, it's just that I personally think that maybe a AM would be good, just to cover ourselves in case of any injuries for the rest of the season. Obviously it'll have to be the right man for the job and not a panic buy.

What do you guys think about it?

{Ed002's Note - Why ask again if you know it gets asked over and over. Your are right. We are sick of answering it.}

1.) 16 Jan 2018 11:50:49
Sorry about that mate.
I don’t want to be pessimistic but don’t you think that if bad luck strikes and players get injured we might be a little thin in parts of the team (quite a few players are going on loan as well), especially that we have the potential to give the UCL and FA cup a good go.

06 Jan 2018 19:34:16
"I have been here long enough now to know in the history of Liverpool, key players have left before - but the club always goes on. You cannot transfer the heart and soul of Liverpool Football Club, although I am sure there are many clubs who would like to buy it. "
Wise words from the Gaffer. Let's keep moving Reds.

05 Jan 2018 21:55:44

I know I've written some crap before, but base on tonight's game, don't you think that we need someone that can unlock games like these when Coutinho goes and a better stopper? Karius was very hard to watch today and I've got a heart condition. Anyway that's my opinion.

Apart from that amazing win today reds, always a great feeling to beat Everton. YNWA.

{Ed0333's Note - I don’t think Karius was that dodgy adrien?

1.) 05 Jan 2018 22:01:01
He was so slow off the line.

2.) 05 Jan 2018 22:01:59
We created plenty of chances.

3.) 05 Jan 2018 22:03:41
Someone like Coutinho makes these games easier, far easier. Karius is not De Gea but he’s the best we have.

4.) 05 Jan 2018 22:06:10
I like the fact that Karius is a little more relaxed. Over the years we have had GKS and Defenders who panic and make mistakes. Karius along with VVD and Gomez have brought a calming influence to the back line. Exactly what we need.

5.) 05 Jan 2018 22:06:53
He looked a bit slow off his line tbh. Anyway it’s done, let’s savour the amazing feeling of beating the blues. It was a hard game and again we showed character, that’s the most important thing.

6.) 05 Jan 2018 22:09:54
I don't think Karius had a lot to be judged on tonight in fairness. No chance with the goal and Everton hardly tested him.

7.) 05 Jan 2018 22:10:39
He was slow off his line as VVD left it for him, it wasn't his call.

8.) 05 Jan 2018 22:13:30
karius was fine, the drop, he did a great catch then it hit matip on the head, it happens!
needs to be quicker off the line? he came off and got the everything, what's there to moan about?!

9.) 05 Jan 2018 22:25:26
Would your rather a keeper come out and lash it into the stand and create momentum for the opposition? I know I wouldn't.

10.) 06 Jan 2018 12:15:24
Firmane. if you are talking about the incident I think you are then VVD should have dealt with it himself, not leave it for the keeper. Leaving it for the keeper was silly in that circumstance.

Hi eds, gentlemen,

Not club related, but some interesting news coming out of France, with video refereeing being introduced into the Ligue 1 next season.

Do you guys think the Premier League should introduce it as well? Would it make a big difference?

It would be good to get everyone's opinion on it.

{Ed001's Note - I thought it was being introduced next season?}

1.) 14 Dec 2017 19:29:25
I think they will trial it in the Cup games, I haven’t heard or read anything about the premier league itself.

2.) 14 Dec 2017 19:40:29
Excuse my lack of knowledge but what the hell is video refereeing? so by the sounds of things there's no real referee? I don't know I may be too old school for this but it makes no sense, surely this would take up too much time? if somebody could enlighten me, I have never seen it in action.

3.) 14 Dec 2017 19:52:21
It was an absolute horror show at the confed cup.

4.) 14 Dec 2017 19:58:29
I’ve not seen it either. For me it should be a bit like tennis you get two calls each for a match if your right you keep your call if your wrong you loose it. It would stop a lot of moaning and you could challenge a decision. Just my opinion.

5.) 14 Dec 2017 19:59:55
Would be ideal if it was done like cricket and tennis with limited appeals by capt to stop spurious appeals.

{Ed025's Note - it would ruin the game for me Tc..

6.) 14 Dec 2017 20:05:22
Not if it disallowed your ridiculous penalty😏.

{Ed025's Note - the video ref would have upheld the penalty decision Tc....but only because it was a blatant shove in the back mate..

7.) 14 Dec 2017 20:09:56
While we're at it why not abolish draws have three judges who would award the match that way we would have had an additional 4 points this week 😂😂😂.

{Ed025's Note - its not strictly come dancing you know Tc...mind you with all the prima-donnas you have you would probably win that.. :)

8.) 14 Dec 2017 20:11:57
I actually thought it was a pen.

{Ed025's Note - and you would be right mate, big mistake by lovren though as DCL was going nowhere and had no support..

9.) 14 Dec 2017 20:44:52
I'll digress from the Everton pen issue and we don't really know if it would be upheld ass the ref had only one angle and the VAR would have multiple angles so we don't know.

Now as for the VAR, I have seen it used in the Bundesliga a lot and it works perfectly as there is an official who watches on the sideline and when say, pen. or goal is scored. The ref thinks it is valid BUT if it is not, this official calls the ref to look at this on the video and in a minute, the decision is either upheld or reversed. I hope it comes to the PL.

{Ed025's Note - it would end up like american football brover, half the fun is the ref getting it wrong.. :)

10.) 14 Dec 2017 21:27:13
I remember being on a forum once and mentioned the beachball icident and our fans loved it 'as it gave them something to talk about afterwards'! Sorry, I'd rather win/ draw the match than get done by a bad decision!

{Ed025's Note - i enjoyed that incident spoil sport.. :)

11.) 14 Dec 2017 23:11:54
Been in rugby for years and hasn't killed the game or turned into american style sports. The challenge is don't give it to refs as an opt out so they can indulge cowardice and get someone else to make the dcision. The idea of getting the ref to look and make his own call works best. Would be great for one thing, if the diving cheats were gping to be caught during the game, when it counts then that has to be a positive.

12.) 14 Dec 2017 22:29:42
Ed25, I disagree. The best thing about the NFL are the acrobatic sometimes, one-handed catches as well as kick off/ punt returns that got for touchdowns.

On another note, what do you think about the way Craig Powson ran to penalty spot on the Everton penalty? He was completely milking the moment and really giving it to the Everton fans and they were all yukking it up, big time.

{Ed025's Note - powson did milk it a bit WRED but he knew he had got a major decision right so i dont blame him, our supporters were bound to be happy mate, we were awful and getting a draw at anfield was beyond expectation so you cant really blame them..

13.) 15 Dec 2017 10:47:04
Details - rugby has probably over used the video ref. Bloody stopping game for anything that might be foul play. i think the trick is to keep it simple. Review every goal scored and the 2 phases / passes leading up to it and then give ref chance to review a penalty decision.

14.) 16 Dec 2017 23:39:09
Absolutely agree faith hence said don't let refs use as an opt out. Certainly they could deal with cheats like the divers and stop the most contentious game changing mistakes.

30 Aug 2017 16:39:34
In a perfect world, today we'll be signing AOC and Lemar and tomorrow A CB. What do you think eds, will be done?

And regarding Barça's bid for Lemar, what are they playing at, why are they acting like a spoiled little kid? I think it's a sign of desperation from the Catalan club, I used to have so much respect for them. Modern football is ridiculous.

I personally think we’re going to make one more signing gents. If we don’t, well we’re going to have to get behind the team anyway we’ve got a good and capable squad. Let’s back them up no matter what.

One player only won’t win you the league mate, but it’s nice to have someone with a bit of passion for our club. He might not be Messi, but at least the lad is trying to work hard and improve for LFC.

He is currently in claire fontaine with the French squad, I guess the medical team is going on holidays in the principauté.
