That was just brilliant. A performance to savour. Just great. Same again against Citeh please.

Seems we now have the Nobel Prize-winning pundit Jermaine Jenas telling us the club is damaging itself over PC. Shame he didn't actually bother to read what the offer actually was before wading in. Pundits huh? Who needs them?

1.) 19 Aug 2017 13:37:05
Surprised he didn't get injured while saying that.

2.) 19 Aug 2017 13:43:39
I wish Jenas would rubbish up.

Totally irrelevant opinion. Comparing PC to Berbatov somehow is laughable - the two are compeltly unrelated!

Funny how he's not saying the same thing about Danny Rose. I wonder if he'd say his precious Spurs are "damaging themselves" of this was Alli we were talking about.

3.) 19 Aug 2017 13:48:00
The bloke is a moron.

Guardian saying Couts emailed transfer request immediately after FSG saying he wasn't for sale at any price. Might be the way of the world but it's still pure greed with no loyalty whatsoever.

1.) 11 Aug 2017 15:36:48
Where's the greed?

2.) 11 Aug 2017 15:40:06
The timing of the TR disappoints me. Coutinho should have known better that LFC would not want to sell him so why not pull this stunt earlier? He is desperate to go to Barcelona so why care about what we LFC fans think of him?
This nonsense about "amicably" riles me up. He wants to join Barca, did not want to hand in TR, wanted to be in LFC fans' good books etc.
Someone should tell him you cannot have everything. Very soon he will forget about LFC and LFC fans will stop caring about what he does at Barca.

3.) 11 Aug 2017 15:46:02
Exactly the opposite, the boy wants his move and will give up his 5% to get it, therefore the next Barcelona bid will probably be accepted, we get more money and Couts gets his move (his dream move at that, probably the only club he would leave us for ATM) but we must line up a replacement first, it is too big a risk with 3 weeks left to presume we will get a replacement.

Kloppe should pick Couts for Champions League qualifying match - there's one comp he then can't play for anyone else in. Be an interesting test of nerve, do the owners want success or will they settle for a ridiculous amount of money and a well poked-off manager?

{Ed002's Note - Yes he can.}

1.) 10 Aug 2017 09:42:57
Ed2, I read in the paper today that.

"Barcelona are desperate to sign the midfielder and they will be watching developments, particularly as Liverpool immediately head into a Champions League qualifier against Hoffenheim after Watford. Barcelona do not want him cup tied. "

You say above that he will not be cup tied. Please can you clarify the rule for me?

Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Unless the rules have changed again for this season, I have not checked, he can play for Liverpool in the in qualifying round of the Champions League and then represent another side from the group stages of either the Champions League or the Europa League. The rule prior to this was that he could represent another side from the Group stages if the side he first played for had been knocked out in the preliminary, play off or qualifying rounds. Prior to that it was as you suggest above. It seems unlikely they would have reverted to that. Did the paper mention Gaston Ramirez nailed on for Liverpool?}

2.) 10 Aug 2017 10:41:12
Haha ED2 loving the throwback to the Gaston Ramirez days.

3.) 10 Aug 2017 11:42:36
Thanks Ed. The paper mentioned that I was going to have a trial - so it must be true.

Sly reporting £5million offer for Lucas accepted from Lazio. Subject to personal terms and medical.

1.) 14 Jul 2017 19:10:55
Lazio will be getting a great deal. Very sorry to see him go, he seemed a great professional and role model. Very best of luck Lucas.

2.) 14 Jul 2017 21:14:21
If he leave then he leaves with my full blessing. What a fantastic servant of the club both on and off the pitch.

YNWA Lucas

And a lot of bleating idiots who use social media because they pander to gullible fools who couldn't hold a conversation if they tried. Klopps the man for us, get over yourselves. He will sort the defence out eventually, until then just enjoy the fabulous football at the other end.

Hardly think the blame for those goals could be laid on Migs. He made some good saves - it could have been a lot worse.

But still, why on earth sell a vital player to a major competitor? I could understand if Matic had been sold abroad but flogging him to the mancs, I mean, even if chelski didn't need him why make him a present to another Prem team. Cannot begin to fathom the logic in that.

Fine with Souness and Macca and Neville. Cara's ok as is Murphy. Rest I could do without. Particularly Owen and Savage.
