Who decides the 'match ups' at set pieces. Doak was absolutely bullied for Preston's goal and I've seen the same thing happen to Elliott. Strikers and central defenders usually have heading in their DNA and it doesn't make sense to mark them with our smallest players when we have plenty of height in the team. This needs to be sorted before the season properly starts.

I thought the same. It happened several times last season too where one of our smallest players ended up man marking somebody twice their size. Hopefully it is something that will be addressed.

Agreed, it's the downfall at times with zonal marking and a team taking advantage of the weaknesses.
I preferred to have a mix of zonal and man to man marking of the main threats when managing. Was just preference.

Ive been saying for ages that he needs to cut his hair.
For most players it's irrelevant but for him I truly believe it was causing him issues. How much, probably not a lot. But after almost every play, he d have to touch it up. Thank God he cut it and can just concentrate on playing the game. It should help him.
Thought he did well today albiet a meaningless friendly. But you have to start somewhere.
Id still sell him but if we don't, I'm going with the fresh haircut, fresh start approach. BELIEVE!
