They should all take minimum wage for the rest of the month and donate the rest to charity. Absolute shambles after the penalty, no fight, no courage. 8,000 travelling fans to watch heads drop at the first sign of adversity.
Get rid of Slot before we get embarrassed in Europe.

Yet again: If you have most of a title-winning team and can pick at most the players for their performances, maybe the problem isn't the players.

SR, don't worry. It will always be someone else's fault other than the manager.

Dear Liverpool FC
I’m walking up to come and finish the season off as the 1st team coach.
I’ll even do it for free. For the love of Liverpool Football Club.
I’ve seen enough. I’d get more out of that squad than the coaching staff that we currently have.

Disappointing that the owners don’t see the value in getting Slot out now, I guarantee we don’t get top 5 as it stands.
The defence is abysmal. They look like conceding every time to opposition break.

It's very telling that our away support were very vocal in singing Gerrard's song. Maybe a veiled way of calling for slot to go without calling for slot to go?

Was that the Gerrard Gerrard song Que Sera Sera?

Ed001 I really don't think that city side is anywhere special at all In fact I think it's pretty weak.
So saying that we have played them 3 times now scored 1 and conceded 9. I see the other day people saying PSG won't hammer us well I am absolutely dreading Wednesday night because I think PSG are a monster of side compared to city.
04 Apr 2026 16:32:37
Grino what are you on weak you need to get to specsavers mate

Grab it should say anything special. But, am guessing I did not see it select the word for me.
But I don't get the question, what you on weak, I need to go to Specsavers?

Well, just seen on Sky. The stats say it was a very even contest. Possession and touches in opposition box were equal.
Uuuummm and that is why Slot can defend himself to the spread sheet stat squad and stays in the job until the summer.

I don’t actually see where Ekitike plays if Isak is in the middle, Isak before this season is on a different level to Eki. Eki’s role can only be a sub and cup games, absolutely nowhere near good enough on the wings. I actually rate Gakpo higher than him on the wings and Gakpo is abysmal.
His lack of fight and general effort is already concerning, he comes across as believing his hype, but can only ever deliver when the team is doing well and there’s no pressure.
Same with Wirtz, for the money spent on him, you would expect them to be the ones offering something in these games, the shining light, but as I expected of him, he’s just a nothing player. Plays ok when the team is doing well, but any kind of adversity or pressure and he just goes missing.
Slots been abysmal, but so have these big money signings or ‘once in a generation’ players as we keep hearing on here.
Once in a generation players aren’t affected by lost managers or downturn in form. They can smash a 30 yarder out of nothing, they can pull a team back from 3-0 down, they fight and drag the team forward no matter what.
We have so many overpaid, pathetically weak players, I don’t care if they are unhappy with the manager, you are a professional, act it. We have way too many players who are just expecting rather than working. I think this is actually the start of our Man U era, when they bought the likes of De light, Ugarte, Hoijlund, Yoro, Zirkzee etc.
Ekitike, Wirtz, Jaquet, Grav, all remind me of those, hyped, but don’t actually have the fight or personality to pull you out of the situations we are currently in.

Harsh to lay the blame at Wirtz - if Salah wasn't greedy and got his head up, he'd see Wirtz made a great run into the box. Anything good from us in the 1st half also came through Wirtz.

Disagree strongly.
Hugo and Wirtz have been good signings, they're still in their first season.
Kerkez has also come good.
We have no energy and no steel in midfield.
Secondly, VVD has lost his mojo and Becker can't stay fit.
Those 2 players transformed Klopp's team into winners.
Without them, we weren't winning anything.
We have never replaced Fabinho and Hendo. We've relied on VVD's ability to adapt, which is now diminished.
The spine of the team is weak as p. and other teams know it.
It's going to take some good recruitment and some good coaching to stop the rot.

Why not go for Villa's McGinn. He would help provide a bit of bite in the midfield, a mean who could or would step up as the midfield enforcer.

04 Apr 2026 17:08:59
Can't say I disagree with any of that tbh! Under Klopp we signed players with a point to prove, Salah coming back to the prem with a point to prove, Mane stepping up from Southampton with a point to prove! The players we have signed all have quality but they do lack fight! Ekitike has looked very good but his work rate is a concern, or maybe he's being told to play like that, who knows.

Did you write his Wikipedia? "McGinn has a low centre of balance, allowing him to deploy an unusual running style, where his body remains low to the ground.[77] He has unusually large buttocks which he uses to shield the ball and turn opponents, as well as draw fouls from defenders; in interviews, McGinn has poked fun at his own build, commenting that "no one" has a backside as large as his."

Club needs a clean out.
Regardless of now or the Summer. A major clean out. Throughout the club, from top positions to throughout the squad. A rut was allowed to rot in since October. There's no balls above slot and the club and fans have lost out in what it seems a full season of football. What we've had to endure has been worse than dire because it's been allowed to continue on for far too long.
I'm not sure on Alonso of he is to come in with some of the "characters".
We have in that squad. There's real weak links in that team. Mentally and physically that have been carried. There's traits that have been fully exposed that show me they shouldn't be here.
The squad as I will repeat is not right at all. It also lacks leader's and winner's. That team was carried last season by virg and Salah. Both are finished and everyone is getting exposed for what they are.
04 Apr 2026 15:06:21
4-0. Surely nobody is surprised at this, and nobody should be surprised that the manager is here till the last game of the season. Pure incompetence. We the fans all knew this season would be like this from November onwards (maybe not this bad).
We hoped they could all turn it round, maybe, just maybe, they need to listen to the fans a bit more. If we all knew this would happen, why didn't the people at the top who are on million pound salaries not see it? A wasted season.
04 Apr 2026 15:50:37
Yeah, I was the idiot of the day thinking we'd win. Laughable. I'm not even surprised, I'm just glad I didn't get to watch it.

The only surprise to me, Strom, is that it took this long for many to see what a few of us were on about in October / November = Performance rather than results.
Any manager with a shred of dignity would offer their resignation after a performance like that. The players do not look interested in playing for this manager, and whilst that isn't a good look for them at all (and some of them do also need to be moved on), Slot is the man charged with getting them to produce results.
The longer it goes on, the less fondly Slot will be remembered when he does inevitably leave.

It's worse because players have been rewarded handsomely for a few decent appearances last season. Gravenberch should not be on anywhere near the money he's on. His last contract was very generous for a 23 year old that's done very little of note at the club since he arrived. Ryan ran back last season and won tackles.
He did the dirty work well, and Hughes gave him and a few others embarrassing rewards. Sobosli will also take the club to the cleaners. We've no backbone at all, and we've absolutely no negotiation skills. Dom's been very good BTW but he's not Gerrard. Too many players in that first time are vastly overrated.

Salah, same here. I thought we'd walk this league even with the changes. Arsenal, Citeh, Chelsea n United aren't that good, yet they're miles ahead of us this season. How did that happen? I've got loads of cushions on my sofa to hide under when we play PSG.
