Palace made fools of us twice over Guehi in the summer and winter transfer window, and Semenyo also went there in the winter transfer window, otherwise we might have had Semenyo this window. Just listened to Jamie on Sky Sports and he kind of made out that Liverpool look like they will sign another winger over the next day or two and he mentioned Mintah. Is that back on by any chance? As if you look at the way he spoke, seemed like he knew

Or is it Sarr? I would prefer Minteh but wouldn't moan about Sarr all our winger are blessed with pace then.

Gakpo stays for now, and Minteh signs, recovers and is fit and firing in a couple of months or so.

I'd be happy with this to cover our front line.

Optimistically, Mamar to Forest, Williams coming back and Camara/Kone would turn a stinker into a decent window.

My excitement for the season has dropped a bit with the transfers and first 2 games.

Struggling to accept that we are so far from CL contenders when it was only 2 years ago that we won it.

Unsure Iroala can fix what seems to be big issues in our defence and midfield.

Made up, it’s been confirmed that Barcola has now signed.

As much as it’s being said no more signings, I just can’t believe that.

I will be smiling from ear to ear tomorrow night if it goes something like this, but don’t think it’s as easy as I’m making out to be:

Mama to Forrest - but bringing in Williams, don’t know if the 45 day thing would make it a player swap? Think Williams would come in and cover both RB and LB with the hope off strengthening again in January….

And letting Frimpong go.

My ideal world would bring back Morton but that’s not going to happen so hopefully bring in one of Camara or Kone.

If we are planning on looking at Rayan in the future for me there isn’t much point going for Minteh and would push for Sarr as he can cover up front as well.

Three deals that I think would make this window a successful one with me looking forward for the first half of the season.

I'm with you on the Mamar to Forest. I am an optimist, so I would hope that would pave the way for Aina or Williams, hopefully Neco as he can cover both sides and is both HG and CT.

I would keep Frimpong though as cover.

I'd rather have Minteh than Rayan, I think he suits us better.

I would prefer Camara or Kone to Morton though, but all three are better than we have!

Ed001 & ITK's (Carra, Fields, VC, Robbie) - I would love your insight and thoughts on Liverpool's performance in this transfer window. With my limited knowledge and understanding of how it all really works - this just seems to be an absolute embarrassment of how they have conducted themselves / performed. What's your opinions?

{Ed001's Note - it has not been good, even the simple deal to get a player who is unwanted, replaced and wants the move took an age to complete! The recruitment set up really needs looking at and overhauling. I still believe that the business side of the club needs to step in and conduct negotiations, rather than leaving it to football people with no idea about making deals.}

One thing that would help is having a sporting director who isn't also working for a club owned by a man (MBS) who owns one of our Premier League rivals (Newcastle) and has an equitable interest in another (Chelsea). Hughes has apparently overseen 11 signings for them. That FSG let that happen is disgraceful. Should have been fired the minute Edwards left.

I think parish is a LFC fan deep inside. He has been saving us from buying overrated players at steep prices all these years.
I mean the last one we signed from palace, parish gave us a full refund.
