Other than Oxlade I don't think Klopp has made late signings, we must be done as far as incomings are concerned.

1.) 02 Aug 2018 20:06:28
We had a great window. There is zero need to panic buy anyone if the deal is not picture perfect deal for us.

Let's not forget Brewster will come back and will be looking for some game time.

2.) 02 Aug 2018 20:41:41
It's likely we are done because we've signed almost all we aimed to. Fekir was obviously a target but if the deal wasn't right there was no need to do it and there is certainly no need for us to sign somebody else instead.
His signing would probably have pushed someone out the door anyway. And although he would have been thought of as a sneak improvement. it would more than likely have been lallana or gini. 2 players I myself feel are more than capable and not the end of the world if they are in the team more often now.

3.) 02 Aug 2018 22:25:27
Lallana and Gino capable of what? Lallana has shown he can pull off moments of brilliance but it’s quite obvious he’s not exactly what we are looking for. All Gini has shown is that he can’t be bothered to break into a sweat for the team once he’s got comfortable.

4.) 03 Aug 2018 08:01:47
You either don't watch the games or you haven't got a clue about what you're seeing when you do watch. Whatever criticisms you can level at Wijnaldum, lack of effort isn't one of them.

5.) 03 Aug 2018 08:32:09
precisely, flash. that was a really lazy point - Gini covers as much ground as anyone.

6.) 03 Aug 2018 13:09:44
Gini has played ok for us. But klopps replaced him, so he couldn't of been that good.

7.) 03 Aug 2018 14:40:24
Gini played well consistently after February, but before that he was a ghost for 9 out of 10 games.

8.) 03 Aug 2018 18:03:29
We’ve had a fantastic window. Genuinely feel
This team can achieve things.

9.) 03 Aug 2018 23:39:08
We don't have a first team player that can be considered anything less than hard-working.

10.) 04 Aug 2018 12:36:17
The thing is every midfielder knows they have to perform as there is someone to replace them. It's call competition for places.
I hope gini stays.

Hi eds, if we were to make a big signing who is the most likeliest, as from your comments we are not in for sancho, havertz or werner, I believe one of the front 3 will be sold in 2021 and this summer will be the best time to get somebody in to give them time to adjust, also due to Dembélés injury problems do you think our interest has gone after the initial enquiry.

{Ed002's Note - There is no way for me to be able to predict the timing of a transfers. There is no agreement with any of these players which many supporters are convinced there is. Right now Sancho is available to move this summer but Liverpool has not made any approach to Dortmund and unless there is a significant change in the overall cost of any deal and Salah were to leave then it would not be possible. I have explained that there is interest in Werner from several sides and clearly he is a player Klopp likes - but I am not aware of any approach by Liverpool to Bayer Leverkusen at this time. Kai Havertz is a player that has attracted a lot of attention but the asking price is very high - there is a great deal of interest in him from elsewhere, but he might be the most likely of these three to join Liverpool. There is nothing new with Dembele.}

1.) 17 Feb 2020 09:59:46
question for the edds, don't you think the bundesliga defending is some of the worst you have ever seen?, the problem i have with werner sancho and havertz is that when i see the bundesliga games the defending is absolutely atrocious. its not really the fact that they have no ability its also the lack of effort. jadon sancho constantly has the freedom of the left side of the entire pitch in the premier league that simply wouldn't happen. Their is far less space and i think all three of them players are vastly overrated because of the lack of effort the defenders in that league put in. i would stay away from Sancho all he does is run down the wing and square it five yards for another player to tap it in a open net you can't do that against most of the prem teams who park the bus against us.

{Ed001's Note - I do agree the defending is terrible. I saw one goal Sancho scored yesterday and the defender just ran straight past and fell over. It was like a Charlie Chaplin movie. However that doesn't mean they are not good players. They stand out as the best there for a reason. They would just need to adapt to having less space.}

2.) 17 Feb 2020 11:06:44
Thanks for the reply. the goal sancho scored looked fixed he had allreayd slid by the time sancho got their. I fail to believe its lack of quality they just don't track back and can't be arsed to defend its bizzare. Ah yeah i suppose they would just adapt but i would still stay clear of sancho, be interesting to see how he does in champions league when he comes up against a team that actually track runners and don't stand still and fall over.

{Ed001's Note - that will be how we will judge them, in Europe.}

3.) 18 Feb 2020 21:22:11
Well Sancho has been terrible tonight, had the biggest chance to play Haarland or hazard in and spooned a shot which was never going to go in. Does not seem to make right decision in front of a half decent defence, needs to go to another league and stop playing crap defenders every week.

Would love this draw

Liverpool v Everton
Manchester United v Manchester City
Aston villa v Leicester
Colchester v Oxford

Then get the winner of the Colchester Oxford game.

1.) 31 Oct 2019 00:51:11
now that would be a great draw, but its not going to happen,
if you go back and check on last years draws, even the year before that, City have been so so lucky with the draw and seem to arrive at the cup final without any problems,
while we seem to get the tough ones, Arsenal, Everton, Leicester west brom when they had a good side, so I am expecting another Prem side, while the lucky team, will prob get Oxford,
hope I am wrong cos I would love see us in the Cup Final,
I do prefer the FA Cup.

2.) 31 Oct 2019 01:31:08
Id love to get Everton in the next round too but knowing our luck we’ll get drawn against tougher opposition. Colchester awaits.

The perfect week for Liverpool would be spurs lose 2-1 in the champions league and draw on the weekend, spurs v Ajax and Liverpool v barcelona.

1.) 16 Apr 2019 23:00:08
I'd rather Spurs beat Man City at the weekend than draw with them, tbh.

2.) 16 Apr 2019 23:21:50
haa. i had the same weird thinking as HAJI.

cause city typically don't lose 2 in a row yeah? so let them win 2-1 on the day and still lose the tie to be knocked out of CL, which was their priority this season.

then hopefully take pts off them in the PL match.

3.) 17 Apr 2019 06:34:30
I'm torn. I would like Spurs to beat Man City in the CL (and PL of course) because winning the CL is what Pep wants and needs. But having Ajax give them the runaround for two probably high-intensity matches - and hopefully beating them - might also be good for us.

4.) 17 Apr 2019 08:40:13
a draw is no different to a loss, if city lose we would still need to win all our matches same as if they draw.

5.) 17 Apr 2019 09:22:18
I was thinking the same thing Haji.

But if my wish were to come true I'd hope for spurs to beat them in the premier league. Not really bothered with CL fate of City.

6.) 17 Apr 2019 09:42:14
Just worry about our results bad karma to hope your opponent fails
Up the pool.

7.) 17 Apr 2019 10:54:06
Th perfect week for Liverpool is to beat Porto and Cardiff. Can’t help but feel there’s a few chickens being counted about tonight’s game.

8.) 17 Apr 2019 10:54:50
I want the Spurs City CL game tonight to be a proper tear up and a 1-0 city win meaning extra time and penalties. 👍.

9.) 17 Apr 2019 12:56:44
Me too lfchopeful. I don't see them beating us by 3 goals but i can see a penalty shootout.
I can also see us whacking them 4 0.

15 Feb 2019 10:22:04
Wishing the team a 19 game winning streak.

1.) 15 Feb 2019 13:43:14
I echo that loud and hard mate. It's our special season. Yes it is!

15 Feb 2018 14:19:06
Milner leads the assists charts by 3 in the champions league, he has 7 compared to de bruynes 4.

1.) 15 Feb 2018 15:38:45
Milner > Du Bruyne.

2.) 15 Feb 2018 16:04:02
Does Du Bruyne play for the same team as Ken Aguero?

3.) 15 Feb 2018 17:12:42
Kelvin Du Bruyne 👍.

You end up losing money for winning the title, a lot of players are probably on bonuses and some transfer fees have add ons.

Salah and Firmino are the 2 highest paid players, wouldn't be a bad idea to cash in on them at the end of next season and have a front 3 of Mane Werner and Dembele (if the loan works out) need to build the next team soon so if Klopp does leave in 2024 he will leave a team at its peak.

100 goal involvements in 104 games, took Owen 148 games and Fowler 158, this season i think he is only behind KDB and Trent for assists, and then the cheek for someone to call him super selfish. Can't wait for him to score his 100th premier league goal within 4 seasons at the club.

Those Man u players i mentioned have a better goals per minute ratio than our front 3 albeit against weaker opposition as they played in cup games and europa league, so the potential is there, to say they are not going to improve in 2 years is delusional. When Mane and Salah were under the age of 24 they were not setting the world alight.

So why did we give a 1 month extension, he still would have got his medal if we didn't give him a extension i believe.

I think we will be fine in the short term, in 2 years time is where i see the problem, man u are interested in Sancho, so we could be looking at Rashford, Greenwood, Sancho, Martial and Bruno at their peak with a couple of years playing together under there belt, then you have Chelsea with Pulisic, Werner, Ziyech and potentially Havertz, Man city will always have a good squad and then there's us who will need to look at replacing players and rebuilding, this will be there chance to finish above us and then we're playing catch up again. You might say our defence is better but those teams could be looking to improve their defense next year as they won't be focused on attacking players.

He only has one goal and no assists, I'd prefer Nuno Tavares from Benfica, looks a talent, not sure how much he would cost.
