Not LFC, I see that RM player Asencio has appeared in court, along with 3 unnamed youth players.
Accused of distributing a video of an underage girl one of them had sex with to other players without consent.

What's everyone's thoughts on last night and the start to the season?
I see a lot of pundits are jumping on the too open bandwagon but I'm not really concerned. I think Newcastle and Bournemouth were poor games from a balance perspective but since then we have kept a clean sheet against the team that everyone says are the best in the league along with us, then same against Burnley and even though we conceded last night I don't think they were due to being open.
The first one was a run from deep and the line wasn't great, can happen against a good side and the second one, poor one on one defending from Bradley before a pot shot that takes a massive deflection.
We also should have been five up by the took t with some sloppy finishing and that's against a good side who are always tough to beat in Europe.
18 Sep 2025 08:42:39
And Ali almost got a hnd to ot! ??♂️.
18 Sep 2025 08:43:09
I think we had a much better balance last night, there was still times when Szobo and Wirtz wanted the same space but the latter is definitely starting to click with his team mates
As for their goals one would be offside in the prem and the other was a huge deflection. Every team will give up chances as that's football. But I thought last night was the best we looked so far this season and 5 from 5 isn't bad going for a team who haven't clicked yet.
18 Sep 2025 11:04:17
The early lead made for a strange game and I felt we weren't sure whether to stick or twist with the derby looming, and they're a good side. But this team has the ability to bend games to their will and that's huge. 5 different match winners. It's very encouraging for what will be a tough season.
18 Sep 2025 20:22:13
Whilst Atleticonwere probably better teamnin 2nd half. their first goal should have been ruled out and the 2nd was an unlucky for us deflection.
Hasn't fully clicked yet, but I think we are in for a treat when it does.
19 Sep 2025 06:00:00
Not concerned, both their goals their forward was in an offside position right in front of Ali, atleast1 would have been disallowed inhe premiership…’.
19 Sep 2025 16:04:49
Atletico the better team in the second half? What game were you watching?
We waltzed through them at will for the entire game. The only thing that wasn’t there was the finish.
They scored 2 deflected goals, the first of which was offside. Crazy how that wasn’t ruled out.
The only games we’ve looked too open was Palace and Bournemouth. The Newcastle game was an aerial assault helped by a very weak referee.
We’re fine.
19 Sep 2025 19:05:05
is there anything at all you think we can improve on Robbo?
19 Sep 2025 21:01:06
That’s a very difficult question Warmachine with an endless amount of answers.
The fact is, the perfect football team has never and will never exist. Every team will have strengths and weaknesses and most of the time if you try to improve the weaknesses you weaken the strengths.
You can work on defensive structure for example but it’s likely to make you less attacking so you’ll concede less but you’ll also score less.
It actually explains a lot about some of your comments when you are asking questions like that. You’re looking at football as a linear sport where you can look for a weakness and improve it making the team automatically better.
Unfortunately football doesn’t work like that. You’ll always have weaknesses but do your strengths outweigh your weaknesses and can the weaknesses be managed effectively?
I play golf which is similar. You’re never going to get the ball to go exactly where you want every time. In fact you’ll hardly ever play the perfect shot. It’s a game of misses but what you have to do is aim at targets where when you do miss the outcome is still acceptable and not disastrous.
So in answer to your question there is always and will always be things we could improve on but that wouldn’t necessarily make us more successful so as long as we are winning I’m very happy with who we are right now (which is The Champions by the way) .
20 Sep 2025 07:43:33
Interesting view Robbo, thanks.
18 Sep 2025 06:06:31
This is DJ20 calling shots from the heaven, ain't that right. Amen!
17 Sep 2025 20:15:11
Any reason Sky sports news never shuts up about Man Utd?
17 Sep 2025 21:03:23
Who’s that? Never heard of them.
17 Sep 2025 22:36:23
man utd are playing in the left outs cup this season!
19 Sep 2025 11:17:00
It would not surprise me if sly sports had shares in man utd nicol becker.
17 Sep 2025 11:11:20
The director of the the FBI getting questioned by the Senate whilst wearing a Liverpool tie ??.
17 Sep 2025 18:45:50
Kash Patel. Top man.
17 Sep 2025 22:16:37
Noticed that too!
18 Sep 2025 11:00:04
A sycophant for a wannabe fascist administration is a top man?
18 Sep 2025 11:43:04
Red9nut, I was merely stating he was a top man for wearing a Liverpool tie. I come on here to escape politics, as I'm tied up with that with the job I do. For the record, I know fu*k all about him, other than he wears a Liverpool tie for work.
18 Sep 2025 16:02:31
@Red, I disagree with your assessment of Kash Patel, looks like anything different to the left, is extreme.
I didn’t know about the tie until I read it here. Cool stuff. Thanks for info.
{Ed001's Note - well he is guilty of covering up for paedophiles, that is pretty extreme. I don't see how it not being left is anything but a idiotic attempt to dismiss some disgusting things. Shows you are either ignorant of what is going on or have no morals. You pick.}
19 Sep 2025 21:26:29
And this is why I love you Ed001, covering up for pedophiles, sacking agents who were investigating trump, moving agents from gun crime, sexual offences just to enact ICE (certainly less of a priority), is about as corrupt as it gets. It’s a dark time in the world at the moment. Even people here in the UK seem to be more focused on the most vulnerable in society (fleeing wars etc) as blame for current struggles of the working class. Remember folks the root cause is always at the top. As a proud scouser and Liverpool fan we support those who need help and hold those at the top accountable.
20 Sep 2025 03:33:06
Playboi do u live in the states? U seem to know an awful lot about what goes on here.
{Ed078's Note - sadly, the rest of the world has no choice but to know what goes on in the US. Maybe if your administration was the most fascistic and incompetent in the history of administrations, we'd hear a bit less.
20 Sep 2025 12:52:55
Yeah I agree with you. The last one was just that.
16 Sep 2025 05:45:53
Isn’t it such a relief that after the protracted Isak saga and our A rated window that this site can go back to the usual “you only winge while you’re winning”?
It’s wild to me that Kerkez and Frimpong are being deemed not good enough already. Frimpong in particular had played one full game and about 5 mins at the weekend.
Kerkez is 21 .
Fans lack of patience all whilst we’re picking up points is utterly bizarre.
16 Sep 2025 07:48:16
Its idiotic is what it is mate.
16 Sep 2025 09:00:21
Kerkez had a bit of a brain fart with that dive. I’m sure he’ll learn from that, personally think they’re both excellent young full backs and once they’ve fully settled they’ll be the best in the league, if not the world.
16 Sep 2025 12:13:49
Just checking. After how many minutes and games are we allowed an opinion on the performance of players and who are we allowed to critique?
16 Sep 2025 13:26:34
Critiquing a player's performance is not the same as writing them off, Warmachine. There is a difference in saying that Kerkez or Wirtz had a poor game compared to saying that they will never be good enough for Liverpool and we got mugged by buying them. You can always criticise a performance but writing a player off after 3 games is a bit too soon, don't you think?
16 Sep 2025 14:34:56
Copy that Dracred and I agree writing someone off after 3 games is too soon. Saying they can’t see why he’s worth £120m after his performances in 3 games is a fair shout though as it’s critiquing the players performance after 3 games. Don’t you think? What I also agree with is anyone should be able to provide an opinion on anything, on anyone and at anytime. That’s the whole point of this site isn’t it?
16 Sep 2025 15:25:01
A imperfectly perfect start to the season. can't wait until things click.
16 Sep 2025 21:05:53
‘Saying they can’t see why he’s worth £120m after his performances in 3 games is a fair shout though’
I despair I really do.
It’s funny how when people want to criticise a player they add a few million to the price tag just to make their criticism sound more relevant. It doesn’t.
Wirtz is 22 and has signed for 6 years. Any comment on his price tag after 3 games is not ‘a fair shout’ at all Warmachine. It’s knee jerk, juvenile nonsense.
16 Sep 2025 21:25:10
Feel free to provide your opinion on the topic or any topic of course, others are equally free to tell who how ridiculous those notions are (in their opinion)
16 Sep 2025 21:55:07
Maybe try to understand that people can have different opinions to you Robbo. And it’s actually juvenile behaviour to throw your toys out of the pram when they do.
16 Sep 2025 23:11:33
Who’s throwing their toys out of the pram Warmachine? I’m just trying to explain that players can be more than they show in their first 3 games.
I’m not angry or upset that you feel that way, you’re entitled to unreasonable expectations and unfair criticism if that’s what makes you feel better.
For the record I was one of the first on here to voice my reservations about signing Wirtz when it was rumoured he’d chosen Liverpool but I’m not about to start criticising him and questioning the fee after 4 games. It’s not a computer game where players have their predetermined attributes that they bring to every game. They are human beings and some take longer to settle than others.
His talent is undeniable and we should all be right behind him and help him fulfil his potential at Liverpool because he could be something very special.
17 Sep 2025 00:19:48
Thats fair Warmachine. And you're right, people should be given the right to voice out their opinions. And other people should also have the right to opine on that opinion too as long as it doesn't get personal.
Like for example, I saw someone post "Slot out" on another forum and while he is entitled to have that opinion, others have the right to dunk on it as well. That's what makes sites like this great and fun.
18 Sep 2025 08:23:36
I seen improvements in Wirtz last night. He seemed to work more from the left, which gave Mo more room. I thought they both had better games. Isak looked much fitter than I expected and the subs looked good. I loved seeing Rio come on. Stuck to his position well. Kept the width and didn't try anything to risky very mature for his age. AM clearly understood what Rio had in his locker. backing off him and doubling up. Overall these changes lead to the corners in the last knocking and big VVD did the business in the end. Great to see Simone loss it in the end. By the way his son looked very good. YNWA.
