The clubs in flux. One perspective is we should be finishing top 4 with our squad as it is, if we don’t there’ll be big changes off the field in the summer.

Given the uncertainty off the field, and lack of clarity on layoffs with a few injuries, it may not be a bad thing to stall a few purchases so long as we get the top 4 finish.

Tbh they did say the other day on mutiple outlets Liverpool would have a quiet Jan… I guess I will be listening to that from now on instead of all the ITK that literally posted 10 mins earlier he was still coming to LFC, I know things change quick - not that quick.

Be out for an extended period of time due to a fracture? If that is the case, will the club look to get someone else in to cover or will ekitike be deemed sufficient as our only forward?

It doesn't make sense for clubs don't sign replacements for injured players. In my eyes it makes the Semenyo move far more likely but that was a move we were considering anyway and the fact that he can offer some cover centrally is a bonus. Ekitike has been and will remain our main man and I suspect we will see the likes of Chiesa, Wirtz, Gakpo (once recovered), Salah (once back from AFCON) and Semenyo (if signed) being used centrally to give Ekitike a rest when needed.

If Danns recovers well (I know he is back from his injury but I don't know how advanced his recovery is) we may also see him being given a couple of opportunities from the bench or in the FA cup.

I'm with Ed here. I was very surprised by the rumours that we had bid over £50m for him as for me he is an average squad player. I was even more surprised to read that it was seen as a bit of a coup when Spurs signed him and that they believe he will be a £100m+ player.
