I feel like when Klopp became manager.
I did not really know Slot, so there was no excitement, but with Iraola Iโve seen his football for 3 seasons and if Liverpool was not playing and there was not a team I wanted to lose because they where in a battle with us I chose Bournemouth every time.
His football is exiting. Itโs attacking, itโs everywhere you want to see.
The last 2 seasons, even with a title win, the football has been a very hard watch with not passion.
Iraola, Please bring back passion and fight into our club.

His football is already "exiting" the building, Grino? Man just got here.

Great to see Iraola confirmed! Really looking forward to having some attacking football again next season. A quick question, Iโve seen reports of Nunez returning today and also Trafford and the keeper from PSG too. Any truth in any of this?

Iraola has been announced.
I believe they did it tonight rather than tomorrow morning to allow the IT boffins more time to work on the PC.

Just reading that AI has signed for 2 years.
He said this:
But feeling inside and understanding a little bit more of this club, I always thought it's a special club.
"You don't need a lot of things to get attracted by Liverpool. Liverpool is Liverpool.
"But obviously the atmosphere, the supporters, the club, the players, the chance for me to coach top-level players, the chance to fight for titles.
"I think it cannot be more attractive than this. It's difficult to find it. So, really excited to start.

I loved the bit at the end of the shortform interview that he wants to earn the right to be one of us.

Just read an article where he explained 2 year contracts were his preference cos he doesn't just want financial assurances.

Getting a great feeling with Iraola.
Seems to really want that connection with the fan base. Exciting times.

Lofty1979, I liked that, as well. "Doni" is no mug and understands exactly where he has arrived and understands the assignment. Our fans will back him if he works hard, gets results (hopefully, from jump) and tries to imbed himself with the club and the city.

If he's willing to be the 1st man at work in the morning and last home at night (ala Big Nev), players will be, hopefully, shamed into putting in a shift.

"I can only say [to the fans] that I want to become one more of you, I want to earn the right to be one of you, so we can enjoy it all together."
A Iraola

Yer boi!
He's earned this shot. He's ready for a step up and he knows it.
What are we calling him?
Iri? Andi? Siri?

Did you intend to say 'endearing', @Fat? It'll be a bit of a sticky mess otherwise. ๐

Official. He's our new boss.
We are his first, second, third and last coach. His words. Love that. Passion, it's what we need in droves.
Come on you mighty reds.

Being a bit more serious. With Slot in charge, I wasn't looking forward to the transfer window and the start of next season. Now the feeling is a bit like waiting for Christmas - I can't wait for the season to kick off.

I'm gonna feel like a right mug watching it just to see him in a PSG shirt in the next few days!

I've purposely not watched it, as I think it will jinx it.

Liverpool have appointed Andoni Iraola as their head coach following the sacking of Arne Slot.
Welcome to the new boss.
04 Jun 2026 19:21:01
Alright lads, how about a composite team of Dalglish's best 11 vs Klopp's?
04 Jun 2026 19:44:56
Good question that Ms. I'd go:
Ali.Nicol Hanson Vvd Robbo. Salah McMahon Whelan Barnes. Mane Rush.
I know Mane not really a central player, but he did play centrally last half off season we went for quad.
Absolutely brilliant player, and I had to get him in somewhere as he wasn't taking Barnes spot on left!
Hansen+Vvd at cb, we really wouldn't need a goalie would we....

Holy moly - tough, but I'll go.
Allison
Trent
Hansen
Vvd

Henderson
Whelan
Salah
Barnes
Rush (Aldo & Beardsley very unlucky to miss out).

Gerrard has to be in the mix.
The OP did say Dalglish's best 11 and SKK had 2 spells with us.
Suarez has to be on the bench too.
