Are there any clubs interested in Joe Gomez? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Joe Gomez (CB) Wants more game time and Aston Villa are keen but I cannot see Liverpool selling him or loaning him out in the short-term.

Aha okay thanks a mil Ed002. Saw him linked with Real Madrid this morning which seemed weird.

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid are looking to add a CB and have considered more than a dozen but they have one primary target. I am not aware of them showing an interest in JG.}

Seems a strange one for all parties, with C.V. and Matips injury record he could be starting any time. He’s also homegrown which is a bonus and a still pretty young.
The only thing I can see that would make sense is if Klopp has been told he needs to sell before he can buy anyone.

PD i think it's just because the 2 in front of him are so good. He will get games though, especially with Phillips likely leaving.

Every1 knows we need 4 good centrehalfs! Gomez is still coming back from some serious injuries. I don't think Klopp rates Matip ahead of him its more possession is 9/ 10ths of the law when it comes to the centrehalf position with Klopp. If someone is playing well they stay in, there has been long stretches where Matip has had to sit and watch the VVD/ Gomez partnership when they were doing well. Now we have Konate in the mix aswell. We shouldn't be looking to offload any of the four, our strongest position on the field by far.

I think gomez super player certainly wouldn't want to sell him. Only prob with him is the amount of bad injuries he gets.

I think our starting centre half pairing next season if everyone is fit is VVD and Konate. I think Matip is back-up and I think Joe is 4th choice.

I think he has way too much to offer to be anyone’s 4th choice but I think injuries are taking a toll on his development (at Liverpool) and I think it would be better for him to go, perhaps in the summer.

That said, I’d be sorry to see him go as I think he’s got all the attributes to be a great centre half if he played regularly.

Never said he was terrible did I? If I was to rank the 4 of them then Matip wouldn't be in the Top 3.

Consistency is everything at CB and Matip would be 2nd choice for me currently as Konate has not settled in properly yet and Gomez just isn’t as consistent as Matip and both have a shocking injury record.

To be fair shughes55 Konate has shown in his recent performances that he's starting to settle and looking most likely to be Virgils partner long term. Matip is a decent player as a back up for me though.

VVD and matip are both 30

Konate and gomez are 22 and 24 gomez and matip both have had injury issues and with C.V. you need a jam packed squad hars to keep everyone happy but Joe needs time before he's back to his best.

Cracking player Gomez, versatile too as he can cover the right back position - plus home grown player which is a quota that shouldn't be forgotten about.
