Hello! Not sure if mentioned before but I noticed Viktor Munoz signed a 6 year contract on joining. From what I remember, in the past, players generally sign 5 year contracts when joining us. Do you know if this is because of players running down contracts and giving us a bit of extra protection?

I think Darwin signed a 6-year deal with us when he joined. Probably, some optimal renewal formula to do with age.

Or spreading costs over a larger period of time to help out with finances. That is how Chelsea are able to make so many signings, the finances are spread over longer period of time, so the accounts are not hit as hard in year... e.g. £1,000 for a 1 year contract is £250 a year cost if split over a 4 year contract.

Man of Todd, the spreading of costs is capped at 5 years now after the Chelsea 8yr deals. Isak signed for 6 years as well.

ED forgive me as I know its not Liverpool related (although I wish it was) but I'd like to know what people's opinions on Michael Olise are?
Had a convo with a mate before and he was truly baffled when I mentioned how much I love Olise, just wasn't having it at all.
I think he's unbelievable, quite possibly my favourite active player apart from my mate Lionel like.
I think he's just sheer class, an absolute world superstar in the making if he continues to do what he's doing. Wonderful to watch and possesses sublime technique and ability which will hopefully for him get better and better.
Have I got too much of a man crush on him or do you guys think he's as brilliant as I do?

I hadn't seen him play for Bayern and I was a little skeptical of how much he was being bigged up cos some average players have looked like world beaters in Germany and been found out after leaving (cough*Sancho*cough). But he is by a mile France's best player.
I know international footie can be patchy, and I'll caveat that he hasn't done it against a Spain or an Argentina in this tournament yet, but he was so far ahead of every other player on that pitch against Sweden, I could barely believe it.
Everything good they did game through him. It was on par with McManaman at us in the 90s, and even then he had Fowler, who on his level. I genuinely think Olise is just that little bit better than Dembele and Mbappe and Barcola.
The only performance remotely like it I can think of is when a young Wes Hoolahan was at Shelbourne and basically played Deportivo *by himself* in a Champions League qualifier.

He's absolutely electric at the moment. Best player at the WC so far.
I do always question his pressing efforts, though.
Also, I don't know what it is, but he gives me that "he will wake up one day and announce he's quitting football to focus on something completely random" vibe. I don't know why that is.

Great player, I think some people don't rate him because he played for Palace and they don't watch any Bundesliga whatsoever. I would pay zero attention to them. 53 G/A. Unbelievable season. Perfect Salah replacement. Should have signed him 2 years ago. Pity we have our head up our ass, we wait far too long for the laptop gurus to collect enough data before making decisions.

We were told this weeks ago by the ITK's. Anyone with half a brain knows Hughes and Edwards won't be staying long-term, not after last season's miserable failure; you don't even need to be ITK to figure that one out.
