So, Jayden Danns just did his hamstring on his return to U21 football for Liverpool.
This season can actually get in the bin.

Can't believe it. Slot is still here.
16 Mar 2026 17:28:18
Neither can he. He's prob asking what more does he need to do to get himself on the Dutch variation of the rock and roll.
16 Mar 2026 19:21:16
I also cannot believe the club are being so slow in doing what everyman and his dog knows is the right thing to do, for all involved. No-one benefits from Slot staying.
The players aren't reacting to him. The club's finances are at risk of taking a knock. The management are looking more incompetent by the day.
The youth are looking to leave through lack of opportunity. The stands aren't selling out as quickly. The fans are tearing their hair out, and, being humanistic for a second, this can't be a nice situation for Slot and his family to be in either.
Just get it done already!

I see Chelsea have got away with a slap on the wrists for their £47m of illegal payments.
If I was an Everton or Forest fan, I would be livid.
No doubt this is the icebreaker for when City get away with a slap on the wrist too.

That Chelsea decision shows that football is corrupt, in my opinion. The people with money get away with everything. I hope Everton and Forest sue the pants off them. YNWA.
{Ed025's Note - so do i Albey, its just not fair mate..

Read a few reports that Slot could still be backed as this is the transition season they expected. However, this would be baffling considering the transition is still yet to happen.
Allisson - likely to leave in the next 2 seasons.
VVD - Also likely to leave in the next 2 seasons.
Konate - no new contract maybe this summer?
Robbo - This season.
Macca - future undecided maybe this summer if Madrid come calling.
Salah - Looks like it will be this season.
Cheisa - This summer.
Gakpo - Please Bayern make an offer.
Endo - Not enough game time maybe this season.
Gomez - Great squad player but always injured maybe its time for him to leave.
That's several players leaving the first team that will need replacing. Our squad depth isn't the largest as it is.
This summer is crucial that the clubs goes in the right direction. We need 100% certainty on the manager whether that is Slot or not. We need to make sure the club is aligned in decisions from top to bottom.
15 Mar 2026 20:48:36
Before today's game against Tottenham, a crucial meeting took place between Slot, the club and his representatives regarding his future
— With specific conditions tied to today's performance.
The decision has now been made: he will not continue as Liverpool manager next season.
Confirmation is expected very soon.
15 Mar 2026 22:28:26
So, you're saying a win against Tottenham would have been enough to guarantee his future for next season, is it?
15 Mar 2026 22:37:36
I doubt any of that sort happened today, and I think we all know he won't be here next summer.
15 Mar 2026 22:45:41
He should be removed now and not wait until the end of the season.
15 Mar 2026 22:50:38
There wasn't.
15 Mar 2026 22:51:10
Confirmation? So the club's going to come out and say, "We're going to fire Slot... in 10 weeks' time?" Or they're going to fire him now?
15 Mar 2026 22:57:14
I'm sure this has been discussed before today's game. Not a new situation.
15 Mar 2026 23:00:41
That decision wasn't made before today? I haven't been piling on, but it must have been made prior to today.
15 Mar 2026 23:07:40
Rubbish. Major decisions are never tied to a single game.
16 Mar 2026 03:08:37
This guy posts a lot of rubbish as fact. Should be removed.
16 Mar 2026 14:39:02
Don't those crucial "meetings" happen after the game?
Or do they wait for Slot to go back home before the players have the meeting?
15 Mar 2026 22:03:45
Has he gone yet?
16 Mar 2026 10:47:31
Unfortunately not. Anyway, according to some posters, he's not at fault; it's all the players' fault, so he shouldn't be sacked.
16 Mar 2026 14:46:01
The players must bear a lot of the responsibility in this fiasco, but ultimately Slot will be the one who is held responsible.
These players have been pathetic, to say the least, but there is no excuse for not giving 100%, even if it's just for the fans.
15 Mar 2026 22:02:10.
Spurs did not play like the team flirting with relegation who hate their Head Coach this afternoon!
The majority of those LFC players today basically signed Arne Slot P45 with that familiar rubbish show!
I genuinely have little faith that LFC can go through on Wednesday because Victor Osimhen should be salivating at the prospect of playing this soft LFC!

Slots not leaving at this stage of the season, so whine away. Let it all out.
Season was wrote of a long time ago. I'm hoping though for a serious reset in the summer.
The trio have to go after this kind of season. They've all failed spectacularly in their roles. The contracts handed out to most of these players are nowhere near justified.
Virg is a Salah problem next season BTW if kept.
Dom has been "close to signing a new contract" for months. Another free kick for his agent to stick on the reel for Real Madrid.
Slot will get most of the bad press but a good few of those players today are not of the standard. It was very good Virg and Salah last season that got us over the line.
The first team requires 4,5 top drawer players. Not to compete but to go straight in.
You persist with this team under a new manager, you'd still be looking at finishing top 4 as an achievement.
Major incompetence at the state of this squad. Virg, Konate and Gomez should all be leaving in the summer. Centrally, Grav and Macca are not it. Grav now on superstar wages. The odd nice touch and spin gets you those kind of contracts under Hughes.
Attack out wide? None existent. Gakpo and Salah have been extremely underwhelming.
Get a proper sporting director in. The priority should be to inject pace, power and physicality into this team. Centrally and out wide.
16 Mar 2026 09:07:57
Good post, Ron. Nice to see a post which recognises the squad deficiencies. Worth saying that even with our squad yesterday, we should be beating Spurs at home. That deficiency is on the coach and fitness team.

Quick message for the ‘senior person’ that gave the ‘show some f****** patience’ quote in Northcroft’s article a few weeks ago.
How about you stop telling us that the evidence of our own eyes is wrong, grow some be balls and do your f****** job?
