Hello all

A while back, there was here some mentioning of Tottenham being interested in taking Henderson for next season. Could that still be on, or Wanyama's signing ended a potential interest in him?

Are there any clubs showing any interest in Henderson?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool are not looking to sell their captain.}

1.) 22 Jul 2016 14:57:01
It was never on, just media crap.

2.) 22 Jul 2016 15:04:49
He needs to get back to himself and have a big season or I fear he'll be sold next summer.

3.) 22 Jul 2016 15:18:39
Captain hendo STAYS! I wouldn't of even posted that question.

4.) 22 Jul 2016 15:42:28
Some people want him gone and have done since he came to LFC.

5.) 22 Jul 2016 15:57:08
Every player should come back and compete as if their future depends on it.
Hendo will.
Thats why Klopp is bringing in better players to challenge the previous big signings to step up.

Its what's wrong with the England national team.
Outd of form players picked by an out of touch manager.
Klopp i'd different.

6.) 22 Jul 2016 16:19:07
he was never in touch i think.

7.) 22 Jul 2016 17:45:01
I can't believe that anyone would think that Henderson's captaincy which is in its infancy would be difference between him being sold or not. This is Premier League football not Sunday League.

8.) 22 Jul 2016 18:01:09
It's been years and years, but it still boggles my mind as to how Woy was able to take the Swiss national side to the #3 Worldwide FIFA ranking (the rankings being another story altogether) .

9.) 22 Jul 2016 22:38:56
That was about 25 years ago. That's a generation, my friend ra1969.

10.) 23 Jul 2016 17:30:21
Maybe the Swiss players were more open to doing what he wanted and weren't big stars wanting their own way or believing their own hype.

11.) 25 Jul 2016 06:23:57
Captains should play in every game. With new additions, not sure Hendo or Milner stay captains this year as they might be warming the bench. Personally, think Can should get the armband.

Hello all.
For Ed002.

I was wondering if there was any similarity at this point between the Teixeira and the Mkhitaryan negotiation that ended up with him in Dortmund.

I searched and saw you said the Mkhitaryan deal was never going to happen for us because of the price being too high and Shakhtar wanting a single payment.

Did Dortmund/ Klopp just accepted those terms and that was it, or was there something else they did to ease the transfer in their favor? I read somewhere else an opinion saying that Klopp got Mkhiraryan with some aggresive or disgraceful moves.

{Ed002's Note - As you say Mkhitaryan to Liverpool was never going to happen. Klopp had no financial control or involvement in negotions at Dortmund but they agreed to Shakhtar's terms. There is no comparison to what is happening now with Teixeira - where it is a matter of offering sufficient money and persuading the owner that they should sell now rather than in the summer.}

1.) 27 Jan 2016 16:31:51
Sly Sports reckon that the deal has stalled over the fee which is what the Eds said so I wouldn't hold my breath over him moving here until the summer at the earliest if at all. Just being a realist. I hope I'm wrong. He looks good but in all honesty and like most people on here, I'd never heard of him until Liverpools interest became known.

2.) 27 Jan 2016 18:00:13
It seems to me, to be more of a ploy by Shaktar to encourage a bigger offer from Liverpool.

12 May 2014 15:38:35
In spain, some media are stating that LFC is interested in Cristian Benavente (19) from Real Madrid B. He's a peruvian player and of course it has been commented by media in Perú as well. Do any of the Eds know anything about this interest? Could it be a player LFC would bid on? He's played with the national team a couple of times already but I don't know how likely he would be for a work permit

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know, sorry.}

LFC Announcement ending interest in VVD. Is this still a smart thing to say EDs?

{Ed002's Note - It is a very embarrassing statement for the club to have to make.}

22 Jan 2016 15:36:16
Lets hope Klopp doesn't end up saying he was looking for Teixeira but ended up with Crouch.

1.) 22 Jan 2016 16:52:12
Torres will do.

15 Jul 2015 19:52:36
If Lacazette has a price-tag of something like £37-to-£40m, now that Sterling's transfer money is confirmed, wouldn't LFC be in condition to negotiate a transfer for him? Is that valuation of Lacazette something far away for us?
Or is the Sterling money already assigned to the previous signings in the season such as Firmino, Clyne and possible Ings?

If Benteke is our only option, I really hope it doesn't come through. Would rather give a try to what we have + some small contribution from youngsters when needed to rotate.

{Ed002's Note - It doesn't work like that.}

1.) 15 Jul 2015 20:09:15
I mean, Lacazette is definitely not an option LFC could go for?
May be because of money, no CL, or whatever else

2.) 15 Jul 2015 20:46:13
I know. I think it would be easier for all involved if city just sent the 49 million to lyon.

3.) 15 Jul 2015 20:46:51
2+2=37-40. I think we need to sack all the back-seat managers.
You hope it doesn't come through what? The matrix?
And I hope you wouldn't rather 'give a try' to any of last season's fit strikers, it's been proven, they were useless.

4.) 15 Jul 2015 20:57:14
That's not an excuse for Liverpool, we can bring him in

5.) 15 Jul 2015 20:57:28
hit one's own forehead with hand/palm, and drag it down one's face.

6.) 15 Jul 2015 23:34:15
I know there isn't a sarcasm button but sometimes I wonder

27 Jun 2015 16:25:39
Hernanes lacks in attitude when a game is not going well, in my opinion he would not be a good addition to LFC

1.) 27 Jun 2015 16:39:23
Has he even been mentioned?

2.) 27 Jun 2015 17:09:00
First I've heard of this, thought inter wanted rid but not too us.

01 Mar 2015 14:43:41
Eds, would it be posible to have someone else to coach the team for the first part next season, maybe decide some signings and then have BR coach the 2nd part of the season??? LFC would most likely challenge from beginning to end at least. Haha

1.) 01 Mar 2015 19:56:52
I'm free

Firmino89, many more than the ones that reapplied really appreciate what you've brought in both occasions. Thanks a lot.

Then let's rest on the secret rumours and let's be anxious about what happens on the pitch. If it needs to be something not to be commented then let's turn to what should matter always, the next game.

I believe that reporter is talking about a supposed offer LFC sent to Dortmund supposedly today for Pulisic. To join in July. Take it with a bag of salt.

I'm unconvinced by Salah, but Klopp knows a little better and I trust his judgement. If he ends up with LFC shirt hope he makes good for the team.

Gabriel Jesús is seen more as the Brazilian type of player and is more recognized for that in Brazil. Unless GJ gives a really bad performance Bobby will always be behind him in this WC.

{Ed001's Note - no, he plays because he is Neymar's best mate.}

To me Klopp is not going to be rushing AGAIN in placing a new player as keeper.
Karius will start next season if he's fit, the rest of keepers available then will have to wait for their chance.

Karius needs time. He was taken to Citeh's youth team because he has the potential. He needs to be trusted to develop. The 26th will say a lot, I'm sure.

I think it's the other way around. After reading Macca's post maybe Jason Burt is credible for a moment.
